The European Union (EU) on June 9 published a report showing that drug trafficking gangs in Europe are changing their business models to adapt to new realities, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. forcing countries to impose restrictions to control the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Mr. Alexis Goosdeel, Director of the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), said that despite the COVID-19 epidemic, the drug trafficking market in Europe is still very active. According to him, drug buyers and sellers have “communicated with each other” on the online platform. Through online advertising, people who need to buy drugs can receive goods right at home. More sophisticated, drug buyers and sellers also use encrypted messaging applications.

Mr. Goosdeel affirmed that this situation shows that in order to be able to deal with future disasters, it is necessary to quickly change the perception that drugs are not a problem of only one person, but that it is affecting people. community at large in more ways. In the report, EMCDDA warned that drug addicts now have access to a wider range of drugs, with higher purity. In 2020 alone, 46 new drugs were discovered in the European Union (EU). In the context of many countries imposing restrictive measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, whereby, discos and bars must close at night, reducing the drugs used on special occasions. parties such as ecstasy, consumption of some has increased significantly, especially the purchase and sale of the compound benzodiazepine, often prescribed for sedation. In addition, the EMCDDA report also noted that the authorities had seized a record amount of cocaine in 2019, with 213 tons, much higher than 177 tons in 2018, and the number of people who had to detox for the first time as well. Strongly increasing.

Not only that, Utah is also famous for its majestic and diverse terrain with snowy mountains, valleys, alternating rivers and streams, and many dry deserts and hills with extremely spectacular shapes.
 Road to Zion

Utah is relatively rich, the crops in the watershed are very lush, there are gold, copper, lead and uranium mines, and it is a place to welcome tourists almost all year round. However, the scenery on both sides of the road from California running through Nevada to Utah was so dry that if anyone took a picture and bragged that it was the way to Mars, someone would also believe it. Photo: Lifeidealism Weeds are scattered, the ground is scorched dark brown, nature is vast and empty, looking far away only looks lonely. There is a section where the path turns to another direction, and you can see the road sign to the Ghost City, where in the past people looking for gold built up and then left after running out of gold. Both sides of the road into Utah are mountainous. Road to Springdale Village. For 60 million years, nature has been meticulously carving and pruning to create a unique shape for this land. Sometimes there is an area equal to a few dozen roofs of pure wholesale houses, like everyone knows each other. Then again, the mountains faltered, there were high and pointed peaks, and there were flat tables like the sky, as if the sky had pushed the river bottom up to the ground. Many roads are nestled between two mountains close together, so close that looking up feels suffocating, like a rocky mountain wanting to grab people. Like that, finally, the Zion National Park, located in southwestern Utah, welcomes visitors with the gentle little village of Springdale (which was once covered by the magazine). Forbes Traveler Dot is one of the 20 most beautiful cities in the United States). The village is so peaceful that the sound of cars is also smooth. The people are gentle and sweet. Under the clear sun and autumn chill, the village’s only road lies indifferently resting until summer is busy. Road in the middle of the mountain. Zion National Park has no green grass stretching many hundreds of meters, nor does it have elaborately manicured or artificial flowers. Here everything is real, the trees and leaves are freely showing off their colors, the mountains and rivers are majestic, the feelings of a race that has been almost extinct. To visit the park, visitors can walk, cycle, drive, or take the free bus every ten minutes. The driver was very polite, every time he walked up, he smiled and asked: “How are you today?”. You must be healthy to go climbing, so all passengers happily said they were well and asked: “What about you?”. “If you don’t climb, you also have to have decent legs so that every time the bus stops at any station you like, you can go down to take pictures, take a walk …”. Sinawava temple looks like Angkor temple. The park has eight bus stations in all. The first station before winding up the mountain is a museum containing 1,600 archaeological artifacts, recounting the life and journey of the first people who lived here. There is a movie theater in the whole park from rivers and streams, the scenery is magnificent and magnificent with many caves but only extremely supple legs with more than ten kilograms of luggage on their back, diving all day long. can admire. Visitors only see them in the souvenir shop through magnified art pictures with the same price. There are places where the mountains are trimmed like a winding silk, there are places where the mountains are like small towers lying on top of each other, or caves where the pebbles are smooth with time and the water is as clear as jade. The last station is Sinawava Shrine located at the narrowest entrance of the park. This place has a memorable scene with standing rocks close together and pure white clouds floating on the clear blue sky. Wordless stories at the park Every year Zion welcomes more than two million visitors and the government here spends about $2.5 billion on renovations. However, the ticket price to the park is very favorable: 25 USD for a car for a week, in and out as many times as you can. If you only enter a few times, you cannot walk through the vast 593km2. Bus stop. We also only have enough time to travel around a red mountain range. The two sides of the mountain road rise up to look at the people around below, the green trees stand out against the red background. Sometimes, on one side of the mountain, there are abundant rivers and streams, the sad voice tells the history of tens of millions of years of existence. Although the fauna in Zion is very rich, visitors often only encounter squirrels, rabbits or a few deer leisurely grazing. You can only see it when you see it, but it’s not convenient for anyone to eat anything, the park management will be forced to kill it immediately to avoid disaster. The consequences of this can be fear of animals being infected with city germs that the natural environment does not know how to cure, or it can create a habit of craving for urban food, and then in order to eat again, they have to run away from the cage. Go find a place where there are people, and there are people who are dangerous… A quiet autumn afternoon filled with gloom, tourists no one speaks loudly, no one runs or jumps, standing in the territory of a strange ethnic group but feeling sorry for them, with all their quiet remembrance of their glorious times. . Bus. More than 900 kinds of plants are rampant, even on the craggy cliffs there are passionate red flowers. Autumn on both sides of the region is bright yellow, in the clear sunlight, the leaves stand out on the black asphalt. Asphalt, vehicles, cameras, mobile phones… the manifestations of technological civilization entering the vast and overwhelming nature. On the mountainside, sometimes there are a few hollow holes in the sky ready for children to take shelter on rainy days, it is touching to think of how many steps have stopped there, the souls are still entangled here and there. In the park area, apart from a few blocks of houses at each bus stop, sometimes a few lonely rooftops rise among the grass and rocks. Any, from the flat, round or angular rock lying next to each other on the layer of yellow leaves that cover the ground, visitors also find the charm of the Indian soul. Is there a feeling of sadness when the last rays of the day are still on the top of the mountain and the cold begins to pour down the road surface… Shoe tree. Leaving this attractive area during the day, we encountered a bare tree trunk with a lot of shoes hanging on it, I don’t know if it was because of tourists playing or the feet of the ancients visiting the country? But the Indian soul was only faint. They live in reserved sanctuaries. Many American Indians with very different cultures between them have created poverty, low levels of education and living on the margins of society, although it is said that the US government is very preferential to the descendants of these ethnic groups. , they are subsidized for life, do not pay taxes, own many casinos … Maybe that’s why not many people think about the past. But a people whose land has been ceded or occupied, where all activities are disrupted or controlled, is no longer a nation! Museum. Suddenly remember in the cowboy movie, the pioneers who conquered the West, if they saw the mountain peak exposed in the sky, an Indian man strutting on horseback was enough to run away. Movie enthusiasts told themselves they had to pay the park management for visitors to relive that creepy feeling! The afternoon is low and the cold air from the mountain has been released, visitors come down to the mountain with sadness before the natural landscape with deep red skin color.

Under the hot, hot summer sun, but the coastal alluvial area of Nga Son district has a quite cool climate thanks to the immense green mangrove forest. This is the end of the Len river flowing into Lach Sung estuary, dividing the boundary between Nga Son and Hau Loc districts. The decades-old ‘green lung’ runs for more than 5 km, not only helping to regulate the climate but also playing a great role in breaking waves and storms, protecting both large coastal areas and aquaculture areas. hundreds of hectares of Nga Son district.

With dozens of years old, Nga Son mangrove trees are quite thick, 5-7m high, the sour cork trees are even higher than 10m. With Mr. Mai Van Cong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nga Thuy commune (Nga Son) and some local people, we went down the mangrove forest which was full of life. Although I have returned to this “green wall” nearly a dozen times, each time I come here, I have more interesting experiences. Standing on the sea dyke adjacent to the mouth of the Len River, zooming in on the green color, the end of the forest cannot be seen with the naked eye. According to research, the length of this coastal mangrove forest is more than 5 km, extending through the coastal area of Nga Tan, Nga Thuy, Nga Tien, and Nga Thai communes. The deeper you go into the forest, a cool air spreads. The forest is a “crowded” of swamp plants, such as: cork, mangrove, tiger, parrot, creating a mutual plant population, resisting the harshness of storms and tidal waves. The forest trees here are on average 5 to 7 m high, many cork oak trees are about 10 m high. From the shaggy trunks, sprouted a dense root system like millions of arms embracing the marshy ground. Under the trees, when the tide recedes, all kinds of crabs, fishes, goby fish… fences and runs away when they see people’s shadows. That is to see, the “green lung” at this Nga Son estuary is an important habitat for aquatic species to grow and develop. This place is considered desolate, quite far from these residential areas, it is also the shelter and feeding place of many migratory birds, especially white storks and many native birds. Formerly deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Nga Son district, who was assigned to monitor and manage the district’s mangrove forests, Mr. Mai Van Cong knows quite well the development history of each area of the forest. According to him, with 450 hectares of coastal wetlands, from 1995 to 1996, Nga Son district was supported to plant mangroves under the sponsorship program of the Vietnam Red Cross. In the years 2005 – 2006, the forest continued to be intercropped and expanded by the Government’s new project of 5 million hectares of forest. According to management data of the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the area of Nga Son mangrove forest is 347 hectares, of which Nga Thuy commune has 290 hectares. Currently, there are more than 20 local households in the district contracted to protect each forest area, so the conservation of the mangrove forest is quite good. When we came here, it was also the season when the mangrove trees were in bloom. According to local people, from April to July every year, the color of the flowers of tiger, parrot, cork, and mangrove species cover the whole forest. This is also the time, hundreds of households in the area bring tens of thousands of honey bee colonies to the forest edge to take advantage of the huge source of flowers. Honey from mangrove flowers has a characteristic aroma, light sweetness, and is loved by many people. Through each flowering season, the fruits of forest trees continue to fall into the swamp, many young buds and buds bloom, continue to grow and expand to the surrounding areas. The roots continue to deepen, creating a strong tree position, playing the role of preventing wind and waves, and protecting the safety of the dike. Inside the forest, the brackish water aquaculture area is considered the second largest in Thanh Hoa province, which is protected from storms and high tides. Well-preserved, Nga Son mangrove forest is considered to have the largest biomass in Thanh Hoa today with a system of mature trees that are decades old. The forest has been covered with a permanent green color, in addition to protecting the ecological environment, it also creates many livelihoods for residents around the area.

Culture and Life – The sea of Thanh has been explored very early, so that the first inhabitants set foot on the hot sand dunes, daily saving and collecting to create a cultural – spiritual life , beliefs – spirituality is extremely rich and imbued with identity. When going through the ‘fairy land’ of the sea, it is also the journey to discover the depth of the spiritual – spiritual life of the fishermen…

Lach Bang Temple (Hai Thanh Ward, Nghi Son Town). If you are a tourist who likes to wander around the caves and alleys of the sea village, to see and feel the rhythm of life or the beauty of daily life, which is somewhat obscured by the economic life. huh; then Nghi Son peninsula, Ba Lang – Hai Thanh (Nghi Son town), or Trieu Duong village (Sam Son city), Diem Pho (Hau Loc) are interesting suggestions. Life on the Nghi Son peninsula is like a black-and-white film opposite, in the midst of busy and noisy factories and seaports; with one side is the time-stained silence of ancient relics such as Tinh Hai fortress, Ong Ninh citadel or Wash Ngoc well associated with the tragic love story of My Chau – Trong Thuy. Economic development reflects the increasing material life, full and well-off; and parallel with it is the culture or spiritual life – beliefs and spirituality expressed through the cultural heritages that are still respected and preserved by the people here. The “fairyland” has both the needle and the deposition of that ancient spirit, truly precious. Because, it is easy to make people want to slow down a few beats, to see the beautiful scenery and also to let the soul be less in turmoil, when life is full of worries. Not far from Nghi Son is Hai Thanh – a cultural space imbued with maritime nuances. When it comes to Hai Thanh, people often mention the profession of going to the sea or the famous fish sauce making profession with the name Ba Lang. But behind the somewhat hustle and bustle of economic life, is an attractive “fairyland”. Because it’s rare in any estuary land where the livelihood and spiritual life have such harmony. The houses are closely packed with narrow aisles; Boat docks, craft villages, and small markets that seem noisy… strangely “fit” with the quiet, quiet appearance of temples and shrines. In Hai Thanh, there still exists a system of very diverse historical and cultural relics running along the slopes of Do Xuyen mountain and Ba Lang Catholic Church, which is famous for its outstanding architecture and art. Along with that, in the cultural space of Hai Thanh, there is also a treasure of unique intangible cultural heritage, the most prominent of which are typical folk festivals, cultural-historical festivals, such as: Quang Trung festival, Do Xuyen village festival and traditional brush swimming festival. Then, once coming to Hai Thanh for a festival, visitors will partially understand the so-called balance and harmony between the material and spiritual life in the traditional sea village. Between the busy streets and the hustle and bustle of the tourist town of Sam Son, the slow and somewhat calm life of Trieu Duong beach village can be likened to an interesting “variation”. Trieu Duong – the name on the face of the word is the morning water, but its deep meaning is a picture of beautiful, beautiful nature. The historical capital formed the land, so the village was as arduous as the daily life of fishermen facing waves and storms; However, the existence of Trieu Duong village is associated with Sam Son strip to this day, which is the pride of every resident here. The village is famous for cattle weaving, even the fishing net of Trieu Duong residents was once considered the most unique in the North. In particular, there is an opinion that Trieu Duong village keeps the cattle weaving technique a secret, with strict conventions and prohibitions from spreading it out. Normally, only boys in the village were taught the craft, and it wasn’t until 1955 that the technique was widely circulated. Also because of the traditional profession, since ancient times, Trieu Duong village has worshiped Ba Trieu – the ancestor of ox weaving and held Ba Trieu ball procession festival on the 10th day of the second lunar month every year. Trieu Duong village festival, along with many traditional festivals preserved and handed down by Sam Son residents to this day, has contributed to creating the appearance of a Sam Son that is both modern and ancient hidden in its beauty. culture – unique spirit. National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Diem Pho Bridge Festival. Talking about the “fairyland” of Thanh Hoa sea but forgetting to mention Diem Pho is really a big omission. But if you only know Diem Pho in the somewhat irritating scene of houses like wedges and the vibrant rhythm of life on the docks under the boat, it is also somewhat one-sided. Because there is a very different, very peaceful and meaningful Diem Pho of a coastal village imbued with the sea nuances of Thanh’s sea. Looking at the map, Yan Pu is like a funnel to absorb and store the wind. Perhaps also because of that special location, the characteristics of the population and culture of this land are also somewhat different. Because, mentioning Diem Pho is referring to a very special spiritual – spiritual – religious life. For centuries, the people here have been diligently clinging to the sea to find a livelihood and also from the sea, they have created an extremely rich and valuable cultural space, reflected in festivals, beliefs, customs, performing arts and the architecture of temples and pagodas. In particular, the Cau Ngu festival in Diem Pho village – one of the biggest, most profound and sacred festivals of the inhabitants of Hau Loc coastal area in particular, and Thanh Hoa in general. With its great and irreplaceable values, the Diem Pho Cau Ngu festival has been honored as a national intangible cultural heritage. And yet, Diem Pho still has a very unique complex of Nghe – pagoda – palace – shrine. Because the harmony of many types of architecture in a common space has reflected honestly and deeply the very open, unsophisticated view of the residents here on beliefs and religions. The tangible cultural heritages are very specific and rich in value; customs, or forms of religious activities, reflecting the history of formation, the process of existence and social characteristics; system of folk knowledge or rich experience treasures of fishermen… All those elements imbued with marine culture are fully reflected, truthfully, vividly, and conspicuously through these “regions”. “fairy” sea, waiting to be discovered by tourists, through tours to experience marine culture – who knows, will be built in the near future.
