If you intend to build an all-glass house, homeowners need to pay attention to four factors: choosing glass materials, arranging glass location, ventilation and shading.
Houses can use glass for items such as walls, roofs, even floors. The advantage of glass is the connection with the outside space, getting light but still ensuring safety.

However, when using a large area of glass material, if not careful, it will cause heat in the building. Here are four factors that architect Vo The Duy (CTA | Creative Architects) should keep in mind when homeowners want to build an all-glass house. Choose glass material This is the simplest way when you want to reduce the heat for the building. In the market, the array of insulating glass or reinforced film is pasted. Currently, this form is very popular when used for exteriors with many designs and prices. The above material can sometimes reduce heat up to 60% compared to ordinary glass. Glass brick with air cushion inside is also a material that is being used with a large area in the building to maximize light but still ensure privacy compared to clear or frosted glass. Arrangement of glass position The part of the contact space near the large glass areas should be a space that is not used much during the sunny period, or the homeowner should separate the main used spaces a certain distance from the large glass area. Homeowners can arrange an area close to the glass as a traffic corridor, atrium area, stairs, garden … House 2Hien (CTA | Creative Architects) uses louver ventilation for the glass roof area for ventilation. Ventilation Glass will create heat inside the building, so homeowners need ventilation solutions. Many townhouses do not use a lot of glass, but after returning home a day, the atmosphere in the house is still very hot. If the wind wants to enter, there must be an exit. Therefore, homeowners should pay attention to the design of slots and doors so that the direction of natural air flow throughout the building, even when the door is not open. Homeowners and architects need to understand the problem to design technical details to help drain the wind well but still ensure not to be thrown when it rains. Wall house’s glass roof (CTA | Creative Architects) uses gravel on the roof to limit the sun and create natural shadows. Sunshade Glass is a material that easily absorbs heat, so if exposed to a large amount of the environment, heat absorption is difficult to avoid. So choose shady locations to shade the glass surface but still ensure to get light such as under the porch, roof … Glass can also be combined with vertical laminar systems, perforated panels to do the task of getting light but still better shading the solution than combining curtain systems. The roof glazing system can also be covered with materials that create effective shading, creating natural shadows such as gravel.

“The house has a ghost need to sell urgently” is the beginning of a cluster of house listings that have been widely spread on social networks, according to which the owner of a house in Ho Chi Minh City 2 years ago sold the house with a description that made Anyone who reads it is ‘cold’.

The house is for sale for more than 2.7 billion VND for a house with an area of 61.2m2 with strange information: “The house has a ghost, need to sell urgently. Book size as shown. In the middle of the night, I often hear the cry of a woman, sometimes hear the sound of children laughing in the kitchen. Can’t live anymore, sell cheap urgently, free of charge. Goodwill reduces fortune”. Illustration Or information that a house more than 30m2 in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City is also for sale urgently for 2 billion VND. Accompanied by a description: “In the middle of the night, I often hear the crying of a middle-aged woman who committed suicide… The cry is getting louder, sometimes in the kitchen, sometimes in the toilet. Can’t live anymore, sell quickly and cheaply.” When buying old houses, buyers often find out quite thoroughly, find out from the neighbors around to see what the reason for selling the old owner’s house is, what has happened to that house so far. unusual? Many people still assume that old houses used to have people who died unexpectedly due to murder, suicide, accident… or even for no reason but were rumored to be ‘ghost’. Even houses with divorced spouses, quarrels, bankrupts… are often picky about buyers because most buyers are afraid of being “snatched”. However, there is also a view that not every old house or old piece of land has an unusual death, or the old owner has something bad happen and should not be bought. Because, where no one dies, there must be times of sickness and disease according to the law of birth – old age – illness – death. Therefore, if the house is in a reasonable location and sells cheaply, still buy it. Sharing views with PV Infonet on “should buy old houses that are rumored to have ‘ghosts’ or not, architect, feng shui master Hoang Tra – Deputy Director of the Institute of Oriental Physics said: Home buyers need to carefully study the problem. There is a case where a house is lost when people are old, so buying an old house in this case is not a problem. “But if you are buying a house located on the land left by your ancestors, many old people have died on that land, often according to the concept that they will still linger on this land, the buyer needs to consider. In this case, there are many houses in the countryside, but few in the city,” said architect Hoang Tra. However, according to architect Hoang Tra, in case a house has lost someone due to sudden death, suicide, accident, etc., if the buyer knows and has been worried and hesitant, it is best not to buy anymore because of mental problems. reason was uncomfortable, bought back anxious, insecure, difficult to resolve. “Houses with ‘negative energy’, even many ‘grudges’ – the word used to refer to houses with murders and tragic deaths of many people, these lands are often very rare when someone dares to buy and bring their family. back there. However, some people still buy but buy that house for business, it depends on their decision,” said architect Hoang Tra. But for those who decide to buy a ‘ghost house’ to live in, according to architect Hoang Tra, they must be really confident people, or have spiritual masters to help them behave spiritually with that land. , so that everything is in harmony. In fact, there have also been cases where people went to buy an old house, and then after rebuilding it, they discovered that there were graves and remains on the land, but still worked in, solving spiritual and psychological problems fully, the owner still doing well, that’s pretty common.

Homeowners should clearly identify the necessary space needs, take advantage of the available factors, choose a simple solution … to save on construction costs.
When building a house, the issue that every homeowner pays special attention to is the cost. If the budget is tight, how can you still have a decent house?

Architect Vo The Duy (CTA | Creative Architects) will guide you through four effective ways to save money on construction costs. Clearly define the necessary space needs First, the homeowner needs to assess the needs of the space used for clarity. In addition to the sleeping space, the kitchen, living room or separate toilet space for each room can be reduced or eliminated depending on the case. Besides determining the space the family really needs, homeowners should think about grouping common spaces (spaces with similar functions together), such as kitchen – dining, or guest – eating, studying. – common activities… The grouping of spaces is valuable when choosing a covering solution. For open spaces, common living, the covering solution can be eliminated, both saving costs and creating a ventilation environment for this area. The less space, the more economical and quick the construction and maintenance. A model of love housing groups spaces, dividing areas that need to be covered and not covered to limit the wall area. Prioritize main space With a tight budget, you should not spread the investment to every space in the house. For example, most Vietnamese people are interested in the living room, so we can invest money for finishing materials or furniture for chairs, tables, lamps… for this area. The remaining spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms save costs, use sparingly for design. For some individuals who prioritize sleeping space, on the contrary, they will prioritize investment in beds, cabinets, glass doors, lighting… Choose a simple solution, easy construction The simple selection of materials and construction methods will reduce the cost of materials, accompanying construction equipment, quality control, etc. Besides, it also saves construction and travel time. Calculating the optimal use of materials, limiting redundancy is also a way to save construction costs. Wall house (CTA | Creative Architects) uses burnt brick walls – defective products to reuse for facades, reducing costs for materials as well as finishing and maintenance. Take advantage of the available, natural element Using old materials such as bricks, tiles, wood, old doors or using local materials will save money on buying materials and transportation costs. Taking advantage of the surrounding landscape for works with vacant land is also very important. For example, taking advantage of the shade of trees and lakes to get shade and cool the wind.

Although the West facade is the direction to welcome the hot sun, but thanks to the mountainous terrain in Soc Son, the climate here is always fresh and cool, which is a plus point for the project to be designed in a slightly integrated direction. nature.

After the renovation, the first impression is the facade with a combination of rustic ceiling tiles and white wind cotton tiles. The old wall panels combined with the new wall not only have the effect of dividing and separating blocks, but also create a harmonious contrast between the “old-new” language for the facade of the building. Level 4 house completely “makeover” after renovation, the façade stands out with the combination of white wind cotton brick wall and rough ceiling brick. The wind-cement brick facade has both the effect of blocking the hot sun and effective air conditioning inside and out Looking at the overall plan, 2 level 4 houses are located on the right, on the left is a row of hostels with 7 rooms, in the middle is the aisle and corridor. The architect used the trick of merging functional blocks on the ground, 2 level 4 houses with an area just enough to convert into a common living space including the living room outside, the kitchen – dining inside. A row of small 7-room motels converted into spaces for 3 bedrooms. The house has an area of 175 m² including five floors, located on Le Quang Dinh street, Binh Thanh district, HCMC. The total cost of designing the house is about 900 million VND including furniture minus electronic equipment.

Architect Do Nguyen Anh Quy said that the house is smartly designed, neat and modern. The new fully furnished interior system makes the house spacious with white – gray colors along with the harmonious combination of glass materials, making the rooms full of light and ventilation. The first floor is the kitchen area with the advantage of being connected to the second floor, so the kitchen has more open space. The use of smart kitchen cabinets in wood color of the cabinet system helps the kitchen look cleaner and more luxurious. The dining area is well taken care of by the owner because he is important to the meal with his mother and family. From the table to the dining chair and the back cabinets are decorated very nice and cozy. For the living room, the architect prioritizes growing succulent plants because of indoor plants, so watering or lighting conditions are also limited. Modern living room space, featuring two colors white – gray. Architect Anh Quy said that the kitchen is sometimes too stuffy because of the smell, so it is essential to plant trees that purify the air here. The mother loves the kitchen area because it is fully equipped, spacious, clean, comfortable to cook her favorite dishes. Because the ground floor has an atrium with the second floor, the tree can get enough light and air to live. For example, some plants not only absorb carbon dioxide but also filter gases and toxic gases from cleaning agents for the house, such as lily of the valley, fern, tiger tongue, betel nut, ivy… A relaxing space of the owner on the second floor. The third floor is the mother’s bedroom, with a small area of about 15 m², so the architect chooses a simple or minimalist dark style. A cream-white bed with a white bedside cabinet is both age-appropriate and luxurious enough for the room. The room has a large glass door, so use gray and white curtains to seamlessly design and reduce glare for the room. The bedroom is designed in a minimalist style. The fourth floor is the master’s room and the changing room. It was originally two bedrooms, but because of the need for use, the owner changed it to a bedroom and a dressing room. He works in the art industry, so every detail in the bedroom or dressing room is well-organized and a little artistic in it. The dressing room is next to the bedroom, so the bedroom is used to the maximum area instead of a cupboard as usual, there is a space for a TV, a chair, a table and a comfortable empty area to make the room not stuffy suffocating and oppressive. The master bedroom has the artistry of the artist. This bedroom is open to a space to place a TV, a chair, a table and an empty area for the owner to comfortably rest and relax. A private dressing room is designed for the owner to do art. The owner is a person who loves to travel, he has been to many resorts, so he chose to have the same bathroom space as in the resort. The owner shared that he absolutely loved the relaxing spaces in the house, especially the bathroom and the terrace. The terrace gets full sun, so it’s easy to grow plants. The house is home to a family consisting of parents who are retired officials, two adult daughters and an elderly grandmother.

Architect AD9Architects said that the first approach of the architect at this project was a handmade card shop. The remaining functional blocks are organized based on the balance factor. The house faces the West, so the buffer spaces are formed as an essential reason to minimize noise, dust and heat. The gaps found are the transparency where fresh air, trees, and light bring together many of the elements needed for a tube house in the central climate. Da Nang house is located in Vip island area, Hoa Xuan ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city, completed in 2020. The house has an area of 500 m², the facade of the building stands out with the color of baked bricks arranged in blocks. The round squares in the front are planted with trees, as a highlight for the house in the middle of the urban area. The materials used are mostly bought locally such as fired bricks, natural split stone, washed stone… The interior is used from the family’s previous house.

Color makes your home more beautiful, but if you make mistakes, it makes living space more cluttered.
Choosing the right color for your home is not an easy task. When choosing colors, many people make unnecessary mistakes, causing the house to lose its beauty.

Learn about the mistakes in choosing colors for your home below to learn from the makeup of the family home. According to architect Vo The Duy (CTA | Creative Architects), when coming up with ideas for a house, homeowners need to know the feeling and style they want to have. Homeowners should not interweave each one a little into the house, it will take time to choose and the result is not satisfactory, messy in color as well as the general spirit. Am house (CTA | Creative Architects) with deep colors, uniformity of ceiling, wall, floor colors …) Choosing colorful materials, patterns, decorations… but having no design experience is the cause of the messy feeling in the house. Therefore, homeowners need to specify the main color tone for the house, bright or warm colors, or contrast, break the way … When there is a dominant color tone, all interior products, ceiling and floor colors, etc. will follow a rule. Synchronization of colors and textures in wall materials (CTA | Creative Architects) The selection of objects to press and how to color should be consulted by the design unit to ensure aesthetics. Architect Vo The Duy gives advice to many homeowners: “We should keep the attitude that we can let go, let go, not force it, all must be one color. One color tone, but there will be many different materials and surfaces to choose from.” With the prevailing minimalist design trend today, all monochrome wall and floor colors, simple light colors will be easy to combine the interior according to the main color, highlighting one object is enough. Simple, gentle colors in T-house (CTA| Creative Architects).

Architects G+architects designed a tile shell covering the house from wall to roof to reduce the amount of heat in the west direction behind the house.
Xuan Anh’s house is located in the valley in ward 2, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province. The house was built for a family of two generations, both to live in and a place to meet friends on weekends.

The building is formed from a frame of columns and floors that have been spontaneously constructed since before architect G+architects participated in the design. The job of the G+architects architect is to expand a part of the floor to meet the function, strengthen the structure, connect the existing and unchanged things to a certain order and modulus. The main direction of the house is Southeast, this is the direction with a beautiful view, behind the West, the sun is quite strong in the afternoon. Therefore, the design team decided to use a tile shell covering the house from the wall to the roof, the hollow part and the glass wall focus all on the front. The work is formed from a frame of columns and floors that have been constructed spontaneously before. With a favorable location located under a small valley, the work can be observed from afar. The apartment is designed in a modern style, the main material of the furniture is wood. The total cost of designing the apartment is about 1.3 billion VND.

Architect Do Nguyen Anh Quy said that neutral colors are used as the main color, combined with wood colors with soft curves and auxiliary LED lights to make accents. All the above factors have created an extremely sophisticated and luxurious overall. The living room and kitchen are designed in an open space but are subtly divided thanks to the use of two different textured tiles. The use of winding curves right at the conversion position does not feel stiff and awkward for the homeowner. With a small area, the architect prioritizes neat and minimalist elements. The living room is decorated with compact furniture, enough space for members to gather and entertain together. The kitchen area is very invested by the owner and is for a spacious area. The kitchen and living room area is designed to be an open space but is subtly and harmoniously divided by two types of tiles with different textures. The white and wooden kitchen cabinets are rounded in the corner, equipped with an induction cooker and full of amenities, overall extremely neat and tidy. The highlight at the dining table is the wall with a stylized design highlighted by the led light system. The space of the dining area becomes impressively beautiful and luxurious, contributing to family meals more cozy. The bedrooms are also designed in a modern style.

Space, light, traffic and furniture are the four criteria that homeowners need to put on top if they want to have a satisfactory living room.
The living room is an extremely important space in the house, a place to receive visitors, a place to gather family members. Homeowners are always interested in how to design a beautiful living room.

According to architect Vo The Duy (CTA | Creative Architects), there are four criteria homeowners should pay attention to to design a beautiful living room, including: space, light, traffic and furniture. About space For most Vietnamese, the living room is the face of the whole house, so all priorities in terms of functionality as well as construction costs are often reserved for the living room. For most townhouses and apartments with limited area and the development of home appliances, the combination of living room space with kitchen and dining room space is very popular today. The living room – kitchen – dining spaces are combined to make the space more spacious and airy. In addition, these functions also help increase the connection of family members. The apartment has a living room combined with a kitchen and dining space. Location Depending on the plot or design intent to determine the location of the living room, in general, the living room in Vietnamese families is often located on the main traffic axis of the house, where it is easy to access and see. The living room should not occupy space for travel or be located in difficult traffic locations. About the light The living room is a space where many people gather and is the face of the family, so it is important to pay attention to the problem of light both day and night. Taking advantage of natural light is still a top priority. The solution is usually to bring the living room to the front of the house, make windows, arrange near the skylight area, combine the garden to add a landscape. The wall slits or chandeliers at night will increase the aesthetics of this space. Standing lamps, radiating light will create a cozy feeling but need to be restrained to create accents and avoid overexposure. The light for this area should be warm, avoid using many colors that cause confusion and reduce aesthetics. Am house project (CTA | Creative Architects) living room uses natural light and landscape. About the furniture The synchronization of colors and materials between the ceiling, wall, floor, table and chair materials will create a harmonious and luxurious whole. The homeowner avoids the abuse of grout details, embossed plaster, cumbersome decorative objects that suffocate this space. In general, the sofa set is the main element for the living room, so the homeowner chooses the sofa model first, and then decides on the rest of the furniture such as sofa table, airchair, ottomans, curtain color … The layout of the living room interior also needs to pay attention to the gathering and gathering factors of the users, from there, arrange the tables and chairs reasonably. The position of the TV needs attention without glare, the hanging height, the distance and the position so that everyone can see it. The accompanying entertainment system such as internet cord, receiver, speaker, also needs to be integrated in the cabinet or in an aesthetically pleasing location.

In addition to the design of wooden barricades throughout, the architect also combines with a glass door system to help the house both have an impressive appearance and open up the cool space inside.
DCG house is a family house located in a quiet residential area, in Thu Duc City (District 2).

Architect G+architects said that the project, in addition to creating a common space that connects everyone in the family, also needs to ensure a certain privacy for them. Because the house is in the northwest direction, the architect offered a solution to design a wooden door system throughout the facade to limit direct sunlight combined with internal glass doors. Both layers of doors can be opened and closed flexibly to regulate sunlight and wind into the house and increase the interaction between interior and exterior space. The house is located in a quiet residential area in Ho Chi Minh City, built on an area of 110 m2. The house is designed with two-layer facade, the inner layer is a glass door, the outer layer is a wooden lamination system. During the day, the sun penetrates the blue system and prints shadows on the interior space. At night, the wooden bar creates a blurry view from the outside into the interior space, ensuring privacy but equally interesting. As for the space solution, the common spaces on the ground floor and the second floor are opened up to get more light for family activities. In addition, it also creates a contrast in proportion between the public and private volumes in the spatial layout of the house. The idea of establishing the relationship between the public and the private space is also through the solution of soft separation by movable walls creating continuity for the library and indoor playground functions. Thereby, users can actively control the limitations in space. This is also convenient for ventilation from front to back of the building. With this work, architect G+architects shared: “We want to show the concepts in space definition that adapt to the different living habits of the homeowner along with architectural solutions for each climate context.

The selection of varieties, placement and plant maintenance are three factors that homeowners need to keep in mind.
In today’s urban life, bringing nature into the home is a trend to balance people’s lives, as well as create more utility.

In addition to depending on the preferences of the homeowner, according to architect Vo The Duy (CTA | Creative Architects), homeowners need to pay attention to the following three factors: The first step is the selection of plant varieties Most urban houses are narrow tube townhouses, the area for the garden is also limited, so choose tree varieties with pile roots (the roots are not too massive, less horizontal growth affects the structure of the building). Plants often lose their leaves and many people, although they like nature, are afraid to sweep leaves because of their busy schedule. Meanwhile, sweeping leaves is also a tree care job, people who love taking care of trees, nature will love this job. However, when the homeowner does not have much time, it is still possible to grow houseplants with varieties of plants with few leaves or less falling or falling seasonally such as peach fairy, sesame buds, Taiwanese eagle … Depending on the preferences and nature of the project, homeowners can choose tree varieties for shade, fruit trees, beautiful flowering trees, shrubs, etc. Therefore, homeowners need to pay attention to coordinate for harmony, have parents. Reasonable arrangement, avoid planting too many varieties causing confusion and confusion. For example, a large tree with beautiful shape or beautiful flowers like star fruit and longan needs space and space to be able to exploit the beauty, avoid planting many varieties of trees that are crowded or obscured. The accompanying plants should be low trees, not too prominent in color or just gravel to clean the area below the tree. If you mix shrubs, you need to choose 3-4 varieties, don’t choose too many or you will get confused. Priority is given to varieties with beautiful leaves, larger size to make the main point, the rest are varieties with small leaves or different leaf shapes and colors to honor the main tree. Arrange trees and shrubs in Wall house (CTA|Creative Architects). The second is the planting location The location should be well-lit, ventilated and spaced enough to ensure the growth needs of the tree as well as a place with a good location. The planting locations are usually arranged in the front, backyard or atrium, skylight to meet the above requirements as well as increase the aesthetics of the building. In addition, for large plants, it is required to avoid positions such as beams and large beams because of structural safety factors. In addition, homeowners need to have techniques for planting planting holes to avoid the influence of tree roots on the construction. The requirements for waterproofing and drainage for the plant location also need to be considered when intending to grow plants indoors and need professional advice to ensure technical factors. Finally, homeowners need to pay attention to maintenance Trees need to be cared for and easily replaced if damaged or dead or the owner’s needs. Besides good drainage, the plant also needs to be watered and fertilized regularly. From maintenance requirements, the location of plants may have to be changed to suit reality. Homeowners should install a smart automatic irrigation system to reduce watering and bathing while still enjoying the lush nature in the house.

Bungalow-style house with an area of 35m2, finishing cost about 300 million VND was designed by architect Tran Huy himself, as a place for himself and his family.
On a large plot of land in the East hamlet (Tay Giang, Tien Hai, Thai Binh), architect Tran Duc Huy built a bungalow-style house for his family.

Bungalow is a type of one-story house with a wide porch and is often found in resorts, high-class resorts or homestays. Bungalow is 35m2 wide, where 4 members live, including parents and 2 children. Anh Huy shared, Bungalows are often designed to be separate, small in area and have a fairly simple structure. Bungalow has an area from 15m2 to 150m2 depending on the number of people staying. A house like this brings closeness, rusticity, a little taste of the old country. The main materials for the Bungalows are quite diverse: Bamboo, cork, wood … used for the body, the pillars. Roof tiles, leaves… used for roofing. The use of natural materials helps the house to be airy, creating a feeling of being environmentally friendly. A sample Bungalow at the resort. Because it was built for a long-term stay, Huy changed the body of the house with bricks and concrete, then covered with wood. Thus, the house ensures solidity and sustainability. The outer wall is used with imitation wood tiles, creating a closeness to the village. Inside, there is enough room for 4 people to sleep, and there are 2 bathrooms. “The Bungalow house in the summer is very cool and airy,” Huy informed. Finishing costs range from 150 to 300 million VND, depending on the needs and requirements of the owner. With his family’s apartment, Huy costs about 300 million VND. “My parents have a land of 1000m2. My brothers and sisters built a house each on this land.

Reasonable design, right function, satisfying all the needs of users is how homeowners bring home luck.
Feng shui is a reasonable and harmonious arrangement, in order to serve the objects living in the building.

The concept of feng shui may vary from person to person and from time to time, but the common goal needs to bring positive meaning to the user. According to KST Vo The Duy (CTA|Creative Architects), the building first needs to be reasonably designed, with the right functions, to satisfy all the needs of the users. It is the correct and convenient use of the house that will bring comfort, satisfaction and peace of mind in the mind of the owner. It is also a way to bring luck into the house. Depending on the owner, there will be more or less regulations on feng shui layout. The less regulations, the easier the design is to open and expand and bring many benefits to the homeowner. Architect Vo The Duy shared: “Fortunately, most of the clients we meet do not have too many regulations on feng shui and most of those feng shui regulations also coincide with the requirements of the designer.” Wall house (CTA|Creative Architects) with a ladder layout at the end of the house, connecting the two common spaces and the atrium. Talking about the principles of stair design, the principle of rationality in traffic and safety should be put on top. The stairs are the vertical traffic axis, which is also an important factor in the traffic arrangement of the house. Convenient, fast transportation and thereby creating interesting spaces in the house is a requirement of traffic design. Routes, directions, traffic intentions will be the main skeleton for the design of each house. The house has many interesting, airy, connected spaces because of the traffic layout, but the location of the stairs is a key factor. Regulations on height, clearance of handrails, handrails or farthest distance to stairs (25 m) should be ensured. However, depending on the nature of the building, these factors can be reduced to serve design requirements or homeowners’ preferences. Some projects have used handrails without bars or removing hands as examples of flexibility in these requirements. Depending on the needs of each homeowner, the design of each house will be different, there is no general rule for the location of the stairs other than the appropriate functional requirements. In addition, depending on the functional requirements, it is possible to know the position of the stairs in the traffic position so that the connection of the spaces is the fastest. Because next to the convenience is the requirement for escape safety. For example: Most houses are block-shaped townhouses, stairs are usually arranged in the middle to facilitate traffic between floors. From there the traffic axis is vertical and from that axis, the function rooms also surround the stairs. Stair space can be combined with skylights to take advantage of the empty space to create a larger atrium, helping to ventilate and get better light. The combination of gardening and planting trees under the skylight is also a very popular application. Some staircase design ideas are right on the façade, creating an interesting layout, evoking curiosity, but inside the traffic axis still ensures coherence and harmony. There is another idea of the position of the stairs at the end of the house, but this is a horizontal position with the layout of the rooms on both sides. The idea that the stairs are both a place for traffic, a space for learning, playing, shelves, and sitting steps is also an idea that architects often apply. Therefore, designing the stairs according to architect Vo The Duy will have no principles other than rationality and design intent to create a livable space for the homeowner.

LVS.house is a different project compared to other tube houses. The house has a narrow width but has a large area in the back, which looks like the letter L.

This has opened up an interesting spatial development direction for the project. The investor wants the entire public or private living space to be as open as possible and create the best connection. In addition, parents can also observe the activities of two children at a young age. LVS.house was built on an L-shaped plot of land in Tan Binh district, HCMC. The outside of the building stands out with three white curves shielding the iron work. Architects AD9 Architects also arranged climbing plants on the first floor drooping at the front of the house. In addition to the split-level solution, AD9 Architects exploits vertical natural light and ventilation. The apartment has a total area of 70.5 m² with a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a toilet, located in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province.

Architect Do Nguyen Anh Quy (Sun Concept) designed the apartment in a modern style with the total design cost ranging from 900 to 950 million VND. The apartment is designed with the main white and wood tones combined with many specially created curves to create accents. In addition, there are additional LED lighting systems to create a beautiful, warm and luxurious space. The living room, kitchen and dining area are designed into an open space to increase the connection between family members. The kitchen area puts neatness and comfort on top, the highlight is the pea-shaped kitchen island. The living room is simply designed to fit the area, the main highlight is two unique Chubby-trending sofas. The living room has a moderate area, so it is only arranged with compact enough items for daily activities. Although it is an open space, the dining area is divided from the kitchen and living room by the subtle use of two different types of tiles. The floor tiles are terrazzo tiles with the same texture as the terrazzo of the dining table, which is both beautiful and uniform. Right at the tile switch position is a very impressive underfloor LED system, which brings a new feeling and does not create a sense of awkwardness. The dining area is very invested by the owner with special highlights. In order to properly express the owner’s personality, the wall of the master bedroom, the architect has demolished and rebuilt with charming curves. In addition, the room door was changed to a sliding door system to optimize the area. The dry, hard wall of the master bedroom, the architect demolished and rebuilt with charming curves. Each of these curves is so soft it’s a pleasant experience for everyone. Right outside the master bedroom is the direct direction to the living room, when you need to increase connectivity, just open and slide the door to a corner, very convenient. The master bedroom and the small bedroom both follow the trend of simplicity and beauty, including only the necessary items and two main tones of white and wood. The main master bedroom faces the living room. To bring the design to a higher level, the architect also used many eye-catching curvilinear details in many positions such as the archway of the master bedroom. The color scheme of cool tones and shades creates a modern and calming atmosphere. The small bedroom is also designed by the architect in a simple style with two main colors: wood and white. Nice and modern bathroom.

Komorebi [木漏れ日] is a Japanese word that means “sunbeams through the leaves”. According to AD9 Architects, the word Komorebi has many special layers of meaning, which are difficult to describe in other languages. . Therefore, the meaning of this word Komorebi we can understand with many other special meanings. The purpose of the project is to create a stopover for tourists here, the rooms are designed with sufficient area, minimalist interior, pure space for accommodation needs. The overall function of the project emphasizes the applicability as well as the living habits for guests to experience. Komorebi project has an area of 150 m² located in the center of Da Lat city. Komorebi stands out in the middle of Da Lat city because the house has white tones throughout with many different shaped windows. When starting the conceptual work for the project, Architects AD9 Architects identified Komorebi as a subject and the surrounding context as the core element. The elements around are linked in the most natural way. Here, the main shapes and colors chosen by the architect are simply self-perceptions derived from the above concept. People and scenes revolve around things become connected and harmonious, ensuring the new existence of the work is balanced and inseparable from the actual context. The building was renovated from an old house on a high slope. True to the meaning of the work, when stepping inside, it is filled with light, like “sunbeams through the leaves”. Architects AD9 Architects use wooden doorways and slats to express the meaning of the building “sunbeams through the leaves”. The change in light effects, shadows cast through each time of the day are different expressions of vision and emotions for the experience that each individual is different, but the interesting thing is that. It is a system of windows and wooden slats that create conditions for sunlight to enter. White horizontal blinds make the house more airy, but still ensure privacy when needed. The wooden beams and doorways also create a shadow effect on the walls of the house, and at the same time create an interesting feeling for the footsteps when going upstairs. The transparent glass roof helps natural light spread throughout the indoor space. The rooms are designed with sufficient area, minimalist interior, pure space for accommodation needs. Many trees, colorful flowers create accents in the front of the building. The toilet has a simple design, with blue tiles creating a cool and pleasant feeling.

Architect Do Nguyen Anh Quy (Sun Concept) designed a minimalist house for his parents with the total cost of construction and interior excluding electronics about 3 billion VND.
The work was renovated from an old house with a small, cramped space. The design and interior of the house is old from the time of grandparents, no longer suitable, less modern and causes many inadequacies for users.

From those reasons, architect Do Nguyen Anh Quy (Sun Concept) designed a new house with a width of 4.5 m and a length of 13.7 m, including a ground floor and two floors and three bedrooms for parents, located located in Nha Trang City. The total cost of construction and interior excluding electronic equipment is about 3 billion VND. Architect Anh Quy said that he wants to build a solid house for his parents to shelter from the sun and rain with modern furniture that is easy to use and has reasonable house functions. Because the land area is not large, I want to use a minimalist style to increase the space in the house. Therefore, the architect and design team proposed that because the house in the alley had an unstable wind direction, two skylights would be used to both create an open space and get light. Function and style at the discretion of the owner, but with emphasis on the new furniture but still convenient for parents to use. The house is completely new with streamlined motifs, both ancient in the bedroom and modern in the kitchen and living room, bringing the whole nature into the small house in a subtle way. In addition, the gate uses stylized bricks to ventilate the house from the outside to help the house stay cooler. Ground floor includes living room, kitchen, dining area and bedroom, front yard. Living room, architect Anh Quy uses the spirit of minimalist style, only combining the white color of the wall paint and the wood color of the interior. Brown sofa set with upholstered mattress combined with payment wooden TV cabinet. The dining area is designed with wooden dining tables and chairs in accordance with a nature-friendly style. The highlight is the eye-catching design of the antique wooden dining table set, but breaking in the shape makes the dining space both natural and modern. Most of the interior materials are also made from natural materials, which is very suitable for the design of the whole house and very true to the architect’s and parents’ ideas. Brown sofa set with upholstered mattress combined with payment wooden TV cabinet. The kitchen area is attached to the dining table, the architect mainly uses wood and white colors. Stairs leading to the first floor are light wood. The set of tables and chairs in the dining area creates a feeling of comfort and room for users. The front yard of architect Anh Quy creates a small ecosystem in front of the house with vertical and climbing plants to help keep the house cooler. Besides, the architect also designed many curves in the house as accents. The use of two skylights saves on cooling and lighting equipment for the house. Impressive orange upholstery is the highlight of the bed and bed as for the whole bedroom. There are two porcelain pedestals above the headboard, instead of the usual bedside tab, which can hold useful items, lamps, books and phones. Bedroom two, this room is a combination of the previous two rooms but still follows the minimalist theme of the whole house. In the small living room, the architect designed a small table and chair set where the architect’s parents could drink tea, the family gathered together every Tet holiday.

The two-and-a-half-bedroom house has solved the family’s need to use space, creating a connection between two sons and parents.
Mai Huong house was built in Thu Duc city with an area of 100 m². This is a home for a family of four.

The owner wishes to have an airy space, with lots of natural light and green trees. At the same time, members can interact directly with each other easily, but the construction cost is also somewhat limited. According to Architects Story Architecture, the homeowner requested three bedrooms: one for his parents and two for his two sons. The total cost of completing Mai Huong’s house in Thu Duc City is two billion dong. The living room space mainly uses wooden materials with neutral colors. There is a partition between the living room and the kitchen The kitchen is full of natural light thanks to the backyard. The three floors of the house are connected by a wide atrium along the house. The main source of natural light for Mai Huong’s house comes from the atrium. Due to limited funding, the architect offered a solution to make two and a half bedrooms instead of three. One bedroom for the couple and one and a half bedrooms for two boys. The bedroom for parents is adjacent to the atrium. A bedroom and a half means a normal basic bedroom. To save space, the architect could not increase the width or length of the room, but chose to increase the height to create an additional mezzanine. Creating a bedroom with a mezzanine helps homeowners not need to build an extra floor, which is expensive. In addition, it solves the family’s need to use space and unintentionally creates a bonding routine between two children and parents. The bedroom and a half for two boys is also linked to the bedroom with the parents by the atrium and on the same floor. Mezzanine in the bedroom of two children With low investment costs, the architect designed the most minimalistic decoration, leading light into the house and green space with the use of corridors as relaxing corners. Instead of planting a lot of trees on the terrace, the architect brought inside the house with a roof combined with a nylon mesh hanging from the atrium. This way creates a relaxing area to read books, take care of trees for the little ones to have fun under the supervision of their parents. Nylon nets hang between the atrium as a place to play and read books for members. Green trees are adorned in many places in the house such as corridors, playgrounds… At this playground on the third floor, where parents can observe their children. Besides, a corner of the house is also planted with many kinds of plants and flowers to help cool the indoor air. First floor plan tầng

The house in District 7 is divided into three living blocks in which two independent living blocks are for lease.
Q7 house is a residential building in the form of a combination of many different uses and purposes.

The internal space structure is divided into three living blocks, in which for the family of nearly 10 members to use the main block, the other two blocks are arranged as two independent buildings used for rental purposes. The project has many limitations on construction permits, so AD9 Architects seeks to integrate functional blocks together to satisfy all functions. Architects AD9 Architects said that the form and structure of the building is a pure expression of the used space. All spaces are almost continuous or overlap, gaps are found most naturally. The idea of the owner of Q.7 house has been realized by the architects in the most optimal way when on the same small facade, it can be rented but still ensure privacy for the house. The facade is surrounded by a rough brick wall to protect the house from outside agents. The architect divides the house into three functional blocks, in which one main block is for nearly 10 family members, the other two blocks are used for rental purposes. The entrance to the house is the main living room of a family of nearly 10 members. The ability to ventilate, receive light effectively and adapt to local climate conditions are issues that need to be given top priority. The floors above. The entrance to two functional blocks for rent grows many trees, creating a pleasant and comfortable feeling for tenants. Another notable point in the design is the many doors combined with the green areas outside. Thanks to that, the living space is always filled with sunlight and becomes in harmony with nature. This room is always airy and receives a good amount of natural light thanks to the glass windows. The master bedroom is connected to the outside nature.
Built before the announcement of the postponement of the Olympics, this public toilet was added to serve passengers at Sendagaya Station and those visiting the National Stadium designed by Kengo Kuma for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The architects aim to design a small project with a big impact: “ We want to use simplicity to create impact and the solution here is height. Normally they look very heavy, but this time the walls don’t touch the ground, they float, elegant, like a work of art “. The toilet block is 7.5m high, almost twice the height of the station entrance, combined with a monolithic concrete facade that makes the work quite massive. The concrete walls are attached to the central columns and are about 50cm above the ground, creating an opening, allowing natural light and air to enter. The architects design the space using contrasting relationships with each other, such as “the feeling of floating of heavy concrete” and “the presence of light in the dark”, which we seek to eliminate. boundaries between people and buildings, creating a resonance between nature and architecture. The building has an area of 75m2, the entrance is located opposite the station. In the position of the door, we feel more clearly the suspension of the concrete block. The central area is a wash basin and male and female toilets are arranged on both sides. A long skylight is arranged along the building to get light from the roof. “ Taking in the light from above and ensuring ventilation through the opening below, we aim to create an architecture that allows people to experience the space and not just go to the public toilet “, the architects explained, adding: “ We think this is a collective effort to help revive the city before the Olympics. The building is also similar in size to regular toilets, giving it a familiar feel.

When choosing the West to build a house, homeowners need to have calculations in design and construction to bring a cool living space.
Most house builders prefer to choose the South or Southeast direction to open the main door because this direction is good feng shui. This is also the direction of sunrise, the house will receive daylight but still be cool and ventilated.

While the West facing house has many disadvantages because it is the direction of the setting sun, the afternoon will absorb a very high amount of heat. Therefore, the west facing house is usually very hot. However, there is still a way for the West facing house to overcome this shortcoming. Architect Bui The Long (CTA | Creative Architects) said that there are two notes for building a west-facing house, including space layout and sunlit surface design. For the west-facing space, the functional spaces that can be arranged are spaces that are rarely used, with hollow nature such as stairs, skylights, corridors, warehouses, toilets, gardens… to create separation from the main use spaces. T-house project (CTA | Creative Architects) with a west-facing facade, a solution of covering walls combined with ventilation, light and side corridors to reduce heat. For the surface of the building directly exposed to the sun, there are many ways to solve it. For example, using insulating materials such as planting trees or using blue systems to block the sun, create shade, cast shadows on the surface of the wall, reduce heat absorption, etc. Parallel to that is the problem of natural ventilation. The surface of the wall needs to be well shaded from the sun but still has to be ventilated, creating air convection, quickly cooling the inside of the building. The hot air rises up, but it will hang around in the building causing heat if there is no way to escape. Therefore, it is necessary to design ventilation boxes and slots to create convection and air circulation in the house. In summary, the overall solutions of space arrangement, shading, shading and ventilation will solve the disadvantages of west-facing buildings. Homeowners need to combine many solutions, not a single element.

Open space has the ability to visually connect different areas in the same building.
Currently, the area and living space in the house is increasingly limited, and the population is increasing. Therefore, open space has become a preferred solution because of the comfort and aesthetics it brings to families.

Here are some suggestions for some open space design ideas for you today: Architect Bui The Long, CTA | Creative Architects, said: to create open space for villas is relatively easy, but for townhouses and apartments, open space is something that requires a lot of thought. Because in an open space, safety and privacy are things to keep in mind. For long townhouses, separating the spaces and then intermingling with green areas, the open space has the most area exposed to natural light. Here is a solution with many variations to liven up your living space. The interweaving of open spaces according to the area from the top down is often combined with skylights and vertical traffic is a staircase that contributes to expanding the space, bringing as much space as possible. Common living space, living room, dining table or playground are often arranged in the above area. The bedrooms will be surrounded to increase family connection. T-house project with open space combining stairs, atrium and living room. In addition, architect Bui The Long said that the open space along the length of the house is also a good idea. The open space with green trees will connect the used spaces into a continuous strip, ensuring that every area of the house is in contact with nature and the garden. However, this idea needs the width of the house to be wide enough to design. Another idea about open spaces along the length of the house is that these spaces will be staggered. Between the openings between the function rooms will be the garden, trees. These small gardens will be scattered throughout the house, also bringing nature to all living spaces. In addition, the open space can be reduced but still need spaces such as the arrangement along the traffic corridor, the stair landing area is large enough. The bedrooms at the end of the house can design a bathroom that opens to a green garden, connecting with the bedroom without a wall, which will help expand the space, increase utility but still be private and safe.

For houses with a small area, if you want to bring nature in, you need to have a suitable design and carefully calculate the space as well as furniture.
Bringing nature into townhouses, apartment buildings, especially small houses is the trend of many families today. Nature can be understood as natural light, wind and trees. For houses with a small area, if you want to bring nature in, you need to have a suitable design and carefully calculate the space as well as furniture.

According to architect (Architect) Khuong Van Muoi, former Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Association of Architects, it is very necessary to bring air, light and trees into the house. Trees help reduce the heat on summer days, bring fresh air into the house, create comfort for residents. One of the simple ways to bring nature into the house is to design an airy space with lots of openings and wide doors to let the wind circulate. Besides, using good light-absorbing materials such as glass, bright plastic to bring natural light into the house. Trees may be few but arranged in appropriate positions, taking advantage of small trees that can be hung in windows, atriums… Using every pine space to plant trees is the best way to bring nature into the house. Photo: THU TRINH “Green trees should be planted around the house and balcony to bring fresh space. Do not plant many plants in the bedroom because trees absorb O2 and emit CO2, if planted too much will make it difficult for people to breathe when the door is closed. In addition, for small houses, wind and light are even more essential. Therefore, we need to design the house so that natural light enters the house and good ventilation” – Architect Khuong Van Muoi shared. In addition, architect Huynh Bao Toan, Director of a mobile home supplier, shared: In order to bring nature into a small house, in addition to planting trees, homeowners should arrange it reasonably and simply. For small houses, placing too many bulky items will make the space cramped, making it difficult for the air to circulate. Therefore, it is recommended to use simple furniture, smart furniture because they help the house become more spacious and airy. “A suitable arrangement of furniture will have more green space. Currently, the use of smart furniture is very popular, for example, using a sofa in combination with a bed, a dining table with a desk to take up less space,” shared architect Huynh Bao Toan.

If ‘Indochinese architecture’ appeared in many urban areas across the country, tropical architecture in the period 1954-1975 mainly appeared in Saigon. As the only city that has access to foreign economics, science and technology, the architecture here has had the conditions to develop and leave values that need to be affirmed.
There was a time on par with the region

From 1954-1975, Saigon, under the management of the national government at the time, with the social situation had a temporary period of peace, the economy was developed, the urban attraction increased, leading to the urbanization rate. rapidly developing. Since the 1960s, the economy has depended on massive aid from allied capitalist countries, especially the United States. Saigon urban area has the opportunity to develop further. The networks of roads and main roads were expanded and newly built. The population of Saigon at that time was more than three million people and had become a huge metropolis, a population center, a center of employment and a refugee camp. The Library of General Science, designed by architect Nguyen Huu Thien and architect Bui Quang Hanh, completed in 1972, is highly appreciated for its architectural solutions to adapt to hot, humid tropical climates and heavy rains. In the early 1970s, due to the economic investment policy to attract foreign capital, the city’s industry developed strongly, and a series of large-scale enterprises appeared. In parallel with the development of technical infrastructure, traffic, electricity, water; social infrastructure, public works, commerce, services, large residences, buildings, hospitals, universities are invested and developed with higher quality than before. In addition, a large number of highly qualified and numerous scientific and technical workers, technical workers and craftsmen were born. In which, a team of Vietnamese architects trained from many domestic and foreign sources such as France and the US have met the design and construction needs of Saigon. Based on the contemporary socio-economic foundation, construction activities developed together with close exchanges with Western capitalist countries have created conditions for art movements in the world to be imported into Vietnam. freely. In which, the popular international modern architectural style has contributed to changing the appearance of Saigon architecture. This architectural style has begun to gradually replace the cumbersome and restrictive Western classical and neoclassical architectural forms before, making Saigon architecture bring many elements of a modern urban architecture. compared to other countries in Asia at this time. Notably, most of these architectural works are designed and constructed by a team of Vietnamese architects who meet international modern standards. The stylized stilt house standing on the lake and the flower wall on the reading room façade is a reasonable solution. Columns, beams, cantilevered roofs, roofs reaching out from the walls are familiar traditional images . The trend of modern architecture when entering our country has been applied by the architects to suit the local climatic conditions and has formed the style of “tropical modern architecture”. In fact, this style appears almost widely in countries with tropical climates such as Brazil of South America, some South African countries, South Asian countries such as India, Sri Lanka or from Southeast Asian countries. They have the common characteristics of simple shapes, high-rise buildings, reinforced concrete construction materials, aluminum and glass, high functional value, use of detailed structure of couches, sunshades and corridors in accordance with the requirements of the project. humid tropical climate. However, a special feature is that “tropical modern architecture” in Saigon has been skillfully combined by Vietnamese architects between Western modern technical elements and Eastern culture, exploiting the traditional architectural features in the building. The harmony between architecture, people and nature has made these buildings truly worthy contemporary works to be treasured. Tropical features and Saigon nuances Referring to the typical architectural works of this period, it is impossible not to mention the Independence Palace by the architect. Ngo Viet Thu and his associates designed. My colleagues also have an analysis of this work in the same issue, however, I still want to emphasize, this is a work that shows a harmonious combination of Western and Eastern cultural elements. , creating a project with a “tropical modern” style as a monumental highlight at the end of Le Duan street. Independence Palace seen from above. Photo: Zing The facade architecture of the building is divided into three solid – hollow – and solid pieces, which partly repeats the layout of the previous Norodom Palace, however, can also recall the silhouette of the traditional three-room, two-gable house, similar correspond to the functional areas inside. The ground floor is designed with large glass doors to bring trees and water surface into the building as much as possible. The prominent image on the façade is the unique “stone flower curtain”, the author’s name for his work. Because the facade of the building faces East – North, in order to have a lot of natural light and still limit solar radiation, the author has cleverly combined Western technical materials with traditional aesthetic concepts. The tradition creates the image of the curtain, making people think of the images of the shuttle or the bamboo structures, which are symbols of the gentleman in the concept of the Eastern people. They bring a very familiar feeling to Vietnamese people. Inside the flower curtain is a wide and long porch filled with light, reminiscent of a porch in folk architecture. The indoor spaces are created by the author according to the principle of natural ventilation and open space to exploit the surrounding landscape and also to suit the climate here. Even the roof insulation solution is taken care of. The roof has a two-layer floor structure, the bottom is a bearing concrete layer, the top is a heat-resistant knitting sheet placed on a brick pillow 40cm from the floor, it is thanks to the convection air cushion in the middle that should keep the indoor temperature at all times. cool either. At the same time, in the work, some specific materials are used such as washing stone, grinding stone to paint the walls, but there are people who put the Independence Palace in the category of “tropical architecture that creates Saigon’s nuances in the overall design of the city.” Vietnamese contemporary architecture”. In 1972, the construction of the General Science Library designed by architects Nguyen Huu Thien and Bui Quang Hanh was completed. The work is located in a quite favorable position in the city center, opposite the old Gia Long Palace – now the City Revolution Museum – at the corner of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and Ly Tu Trong streets today. The authors have combined the building block in functionalism by creating two blocks with a clear geometric shape but cleverly arranging them to contrast each other. The horizontal block is the reading room and the vertical block is the bookstore, along with the solid and hollow façade solution to bring unexpected and impressive visual effects. Although this is a tactic that we often encounter in some modern Western works, here the authors have shown the consistency from content to form an architectural solution adapted to the situation. The climate is tropical with lots of sunshine and lots of rain. At the same time, the authors also know how to skillfully combine Western aesthetic elements and traditional Vietnamese elements to create a work with unique nuances. General Science Library Architecture. Photo: Flickr That is the architectural treatment of the facade of the bookstore with solid walls running in the horizontal direction, symbolizing books stacked on top of each other and leaving only small window slots just enough to get light, to Avoid direct sunlight to yellow the documents inside. Or like the image of a stylized stilt house standing on a lake in a cubic layout of the building’s facade, the ground floor floor is raised from the ground to bring a sense of closeness and enjoyment but without losing the grandeur of House. Because the work is facing northwest – southeast, the use of a flower wall on the facade of the reading room block is quite reasonable, both against solar radiation and creating ventilation for the corridors and rooms inside. . Especially here the authors have modernized traditional architectural elements to create decorative motifs that are extremely expressive, bringing great success. The work that makes a strong and unforgettable impression is thanks to this flower wall. The building is no longer a homogeneous box-shaped block, but has used many elements of traditional wooden architecture such as columns, beams, cantilever, roof raced out from the wall, even the familiar bare surfaces of the building. The large wall panels in modern architectural style are also treated with stone materials and decorated with dragon and phoenix reliefs. The shapes and details show that the Vietnameseization as well as the tropicalization of modern architecture at the Library of General Science has reached its peak. University of Medicine and Pharmacy project. Photo: MINH@K It is possible to point out another project, which is the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Located in a large campus, with a distributed layout but the blocks are linked together by rows of covered corridors on all three floors, so the circulation between functional blocks is quite convenient. It is also thanks to this layout that the building organically connects with the gardens, trees, water surface, weaving in the campus to create a fresh atmosphere, softening the harsh sun of the climate. It also demonstrates the application of the principles of the school of organic architecture that such masters as Frank Lloyd Wright, Alvar Aalto, Richards Neutra have proposed. Although there is a limitation of square shapes, but due to the way of creating a liberal floor plan, due to the flexible solution of space, it has been quite closely combined between the indoor and outdoor spaces. between architectural works and nature in a harmonious and lively manner. The project of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy is a very successful example of a solution against solar radiation. For the east and west facing facades, a vertical and thick slat system combined with the corridor was used. As for the south and north facing sides, the corridor solution is combined with the mixed roof system. The blocks are linked together thanks to the corridors covered with all three floors, so the circulation between the functional blocks is quite convenient and organically connected with the gardens, trees, and the sun. country. This is also a successful work on solutions against solar radiation. For the facades facing east and west, a thick and vertical slat system in combination with the corridor was used. As for the south and north facing sides, the corridor solution is combined with the mixed roof system. Photo: MINH@K In general, the architecture of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy has a high consistency thanks to the use of a wide corridor system solution combined with blue forms, herringbone stairs, whitewashed stone walls that stand out on the green background of trees. All of them create a very typical style of “Saigon tropical architecture”. Although there are only a few typical examples in the overall picture of Saigon urban architecture in the period 1954-1975, it also gives us an idea that Saigon architecture in this period has taken a step forward. outstanding, both adapting to the tropical climate and meeting the needs of the new urban lifestyle of the people here. Whenever mentioning this period, everyone is proud of an architecture with the common name “tropical modernization”, a title favored by many international researchers. With a fairly smooth combination between modernity and ethnicity in architecture, between architectural, climatic and human factors, the works in this period really laid a solid foundation for the the next step of contemporary Vietnamese architecture.

To help save space for the house, you should choose simple furniture with bright colors consistent with the wall color.
Architect Bui The Long, CTA | Creative Architects, said the interior for narrow housing spaces is divided into basic furniture and multifunctional furniture.

In particular, the basic furniture for a narrow space has normal use, but the interior should have a simple shape, limited details and patterns. In addition, colors should be preferred to choose light and bright colors such as white, nude tones or uniform wall colors. With a narrow space, the choice of furniture should be limited, only the items that are really necessary for that space will be used, avoiding redundant additions and occupying an area that seems tight in sight. With a narrow house space, the choice of furniture should be limited, only choosing the furniture that is really necessary. For example, a narrow living room space, the sofa should choose a two- or three-seat bench, the accompanying stool is a backless chair, the accompanying sofa table is a single, round or square table. Besides, table diameter or width 600 mm is enough. In terms of the need, is it really necessary to remove the sofa table or not. For dining tables, it is preferable to use round or square tables if the area does not allow. If the table is rectangular instead of choosing a separate dining chair, the homeowner can choose a bench seat to increase the number of people that can be used. T-house (CTA | Creative Architects) with kitchen space combined with dining area is designed with light, bright colors, using benches to increase seating. Architect Bui The Long added that the common interior layout into a multifunctional system is also a solution for narrow house space. In addition, the interior system also brings a higher aesthetic effect in terms of form. For example, the bedroom, the arrangement of the desk, the dressing table, the TV shelf, the wardrobe… the same wall with the minimum dimensions will make the room neat but still fully functional. Folding, smart, functional interior designs are also a solution that is also very popular today.
