The key to the success of seaweed farming is its growing commercial potential. Illustration: sciencefriday. A new study argues that growing a sufficient number of green seaweeds can help reduce pollution, absorbing most of the harmful waste. The study’s co-author, Phoebe Racine, said the thesis was just an early idea and implementation would take time, but given the lack of progress in other aspects, “there was no other option.” in addition to considering alternative methods”. Racine, a researcher at the University of California at Santa Barbara, says growing a variety of seaweed species in less than 1 percent of the Gulf of Mexico’s waters could help the United States meet pollution reduction goals that are already out of reach. . She and her colleagues mapped the suitable area for seaweed cultivation in the Gulf, and the suitable area could be more than 38,500 square kilometers. The Gulf of Mexico is being choked with agricultural and municipal waste. In May 2019, the Mississippi River discharged an average of more than 5,000 tons of nitrates and 800 tons of phosphorus into the Gulf of Mexico, the highest levels in 40 years. These excess nutrients from farm fertilizers and animal waste in the Midwest robs the oceans of oxygen off the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, fueling toxic algae blooms that have led to the so-called “dead zone”. Eutrophication (also known as eutrophication) is when there are too many nutrients in the pond/lake such as nitrate, phosphorus, which exceed the self-regulating capacity of the pond/lake, causing dense growth of plant and animal death due to lack of oxygen. To environmental experts, this problem seems intractable. Called eutrophication, dead zones are proliferating all over the world. There are more than 700 coastal areas worldwide that are “dead zones” or negatively impacted by currents. While the United States bears the bulk of agricultural waste, municipal wastewater is the main culprit in South America, Asia, and Africa. Annually, they cause economic losses of $3.4 billion in Europe and the United States alone by affecting tourism and fishing resources; while reducing property values, water treatment and adverse health effects. Over the past 10 years, 85 communities in the United States have spent a total of more than $1 billion to prevent or treat toxic algal blooms. Among the hardest hit areas is at the mouth of the Mississippi River, where the continued discharge of domestic waste from the heart of the United States has destroyed the local seafood and tourism industries. The Mississippi River empties into the Gulf of Mexico, carrying fertilizer and livestock waste from Midwestern farms. Photo: Bloomberg. Growing seaweed is considered as one of the green solutions to solve this problem. Seaweed farming dates back to 1,700 years ago in China. Today, countries like Indonesia and the Philippines, along with China and South Korea, lead the world in this area. In South Korea, where aquaculture has grown by 300% in the past 30 years, an intensive effort has proven its usefulness as a waste reduction tool. According to one study, farms that grow three major seaweed species and two shellfish species (all filter feeds without additional feed) accounted for 5.7% of carbon dioxide and 8.6% of carbon dioxide emissions. nitrogen emissions from all wastewater treatment plants in Korea. The key to the success of seaweed farming is its growing commercial potential. These aquatic plants can absorb excess nitrogen and phosphorus, turning it not only into food for humans, but also expanding a range of other commercial uses. The most commonly grown seaweeds include red or brown algae or algae. Some are used to make culinary thickeners or jellies for culturing bacteria in the lab. Others are dried into sheets for sushi rolls. While sugar kelp can be used as a sweetener, kelp is also used in toothpaste, shampoo, frozen foods, and even pharmaceuticals. Making seaweed farms profitable will be an important consideration to promote them as an agricultural and municipal waste treatment solution. Asia currently has a very strong demand for seaweed. Human consumption, which includes everything from sushi rolls to broths to salads, is the largest market for harvested seaweed. But growing demand can also be seen in the cosmetic and fertilizer industries, as well as aquafeeds. However, mass aquaculture faces a number of significant obstacles, particularly its labor-intensive nature. Globally, the demand for seaweed is forecast to double to $30 billion by 2025. However, in the United States, the seaweed market is relatively small. Gretchen Grebe, an aquaculture scientist at the Marine Biology Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, says seaweed farming in the US is largely “in the R&D phase.” “Using seaweed farming to remediate any large amounts of nutrient pollution would require significant expansion — the current scale of farming wouldn’t even matter,” says Grebe. In the United States, states have different regulations regarding aquaculture licensing. While it’s relatively easy to get a seaweed farm permit in Maine and Alaska, in California it requires meeting a stack of overlapping regulations. Bailey Moritz, Program Manager of the World Wildlife Fund, said: “Offshore activities hold promise. Our goal is to see seaweed growth that will have meaningful impacts [đối với sự suy giảm chất dinh dưỡng], and scale is needed for that.” But large-scale offshore seaweed farming is still at least a decade away from taking place in the US, and only when biofuels, bioplastics and animal feed are generated enough. need. Seaweed holds great promise, Grebe said, but scientists are quick to point out that the main driver is the imperative to reduce watershed waste inputs. “We are asking a lot of seaweed farmers to treat the nutritional waste that we dump into the Gulf,” she concludes.

With a budget of 1.6 million VND, blogger Mavis Vi Vu Ky had impressive experiences during a 5-day trip along the coast with her best friend.
The Central Coast has unspoiled fishing villages and clear blue beaches, covered with white sand and golden sunshine, which fascinates travelers, especially young people who love backpacking. Binh Thuan – Ninh Thuan is an attractive rendezvous for sea travel believers.

Traveling to the land of sunshine and wind, some people choose to stay at luxurious sea view resorts, fully enjoying high-class services. Meanwhile, many young people like backpacking, discovering the beauty of the sea in their own way. During the last holiday, blogger Mavis Vi Vu Ky (Nguyen Khanh Hoang Anh) traveled with her best friend around the most beautiful beaches in Central Vietnam. On the third day of the trip, the two received information that the epidemic was at risk of resurgence. 9X and close friends ensure a safe journey with full epidemic prevention measures. It helps the “foot-crazy” association to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery along the journey that other forms of tourism do not have. Traveling on sunny and windy roads Blogger Saigon spent 5 days conquering the coastal road of Binh Thuan – Ninh Thuan. This is one of the first roads that Hoang Anh has ever discovered since backpacking. Therefore, this road is associated with many beautiful memories of the female blogger’s youth. Share with Zing About the reason for making a long trip, 9X said: “The most beautiful places are not the destination, but the scenery along the way. Therefore, I chose to travel through the beautiful sea roads. Perhaps the trip would have lost half of its soul if I hadn’t gone by motorbike.” Beautiful roads run along the coast when viewed from above. Starting from Ho Chi Minh City, the 2 girls together conquered 3 unique coastal roads, including Bau Trang, Ca Na – Phan Rang and Vinh Hy – Binh Hung. Covered with immense sand dunes, the highlight of colorful virtual living landscapes, Bau Trang is a road crossing the sea that attracts young people to check-in. Meanwhile, the Ca Na – Phan Rang palace captures the hearts of backpackers with its winding road following the turquoise coast. Vinh Hy – Binh Hung is the coastal road that Hoang Anh is most interested in. On one side is a high cliff, the other side is a clear blue sea at the bottom. “Going for a while, I had to stop to take a few pictures, there were amazingly beautiful scenes,” 9X confided. The sunny weather helps her trip go smoothly. Cung Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan are not too difficult to go, but the sea road is quite empty and roundabout, so the drivers need to move carefully. “There are quite a few homestays along the way, and the people in the Central region are also friendly, so it’s not difficult to find accommodation or ask for help,” 9X said. Having visited more than 50 provinces on the map of Vietnam, for Mavis, this is the most experienced trip. The landscape is diverse from mountains and sand dunes to the sea and bay. Each place has its own unique features, leaving many unforgettable impressions on young bloggers. 5 days 4 nights discover the beauty of the sea Day 1: HCMC – Phan Thiet – Ong Dia rock beach I departed from Ho Chi Minh City at 8am, arrived in Phan Thiet around 3pm. After stopping to eat fish cake soup, I went to Ong Dia rock to enjoy the wind. This place owns a rocky road with colorful basket boats. After bathing, watching the sunset, in the evening I go for a walk, eat around the city of Phan Thiet, then return to the homestay to rest after a tiring day of driving. Ong Dia rock beach is a familiar destination that attracts young people to check-in in Phan Thiet. Day 2: Mui Ne – Mui Ne fishing village – Bau Trang – flying sand hill – Co Thach beach 7 colors – Mui Dinh Early in the morning of day 2, I rode my motorbike to Mui Ne to hunt for a beautiful sunrise. Note that only the west coast of Mui Ne can see the sunrise directly. After that, I went to Mui Ne fishing village, gathered many boats anchored, creating a poetic scene. The unforgettable experiences in the early morning here are walking down the stairs to the fishing village, feeling the bustling atmosphere in the seafood granaries… Mui Ne fishing village is a place where you can clearly feel the rhythm of life in the coastal area of Binh Thuan. After breakfast, I went back to the homestay to check-out, starting the journey to discover Bau Trang – a coastal road like the West sky. Along the way, I stopped at bright yellow buses to take pictures, then check-in the sand dunes. The sea possesses clear water, above is a strange 7-color pebble beach. I had lunch here, then moved to Mui Dinh. To reach Mui Dinh, I have to take a jeep through the white sand dunes, then walk a bit more. Here, I rented a tent to camp by the beach. At night, I light a campfire, watch the full moon and the starry sky above, listen to the sound of waves lapping against the sand. Day 3: Mui Dinh Lighthouse – wind power field – Dam Vua salt field – Red island – Rai cave – Vinh Hy In the morning of day 3, I got up early to go to Mui Dinh lighthouse to watch the sunrise. After that, I took advantage of swimming, enjoying the beauty of this place before driving straight to Ho Chi Minh City, ending a long vacation. The sunrise makes visitors fall in love in Mui Ne. What to eat when checking-in the coastal road? Here are the culinary addresses that Mavis experienced on the recent trip: Phan Rang – Thap Cham city (Ninh Thuan): – Que Huong pancakes – Cake soup with fish cake Nhuong – Tran Binh Trong spring rolls – Thien Ly Flower Restaurant – Khanh Ky chicken rice – Ms. Thao seasoned fish sauce vermicelli – Seafood at Vinh Hy and Ninh Chu raft houses Phan Thiet – Mui Ne (Binh Thuan) – Cay Bang seafood restaurant – Phuong Cay Pancakes – Lan Nguyet Can cake – Ba Ly fish cake soup – Co Xi fish cake soup – Loan squid teeth – Bread waiting Some notes for a long trip – Need to maintain the car, check the spare parts carefully before going on a trip. – Always pay attention to refuel because there are not many gas stations on the road. – Carefully calculate the schedule to have the most comfortable trip. – You need to slow down on the pass sections with bends out of sight such as Vinh Hy or Ca Na. – Avoid going after 18:30 because the road crossing the sea has very few street lights. – Should talk to locals to find strange check-in places and delicious, nutritious and cheap restaurants. – You can ask to stay at people’s houses when traveling. However, you should observe and ask to see if it is a safe place before deciding to stay. Note: In the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, you need to strictly follow the 5K Message of the Ministry of Health when traveling to protect yourself and the community.

Father and son Tran Minh Tung together take care of the vineyard. Photo:N.Son It is said that in Tan Hanh Ward there is a Ha Den vineyard planted in a safe way, many curious Bien Hoa people have come to Mr. Tung’s vineyard both to satisfy their curiosity and to save money. images with clusters of grapes laden with fruit. * Work and learn at the same time Introduced by friends, Ha Den grape is a grape variety with outstanding advantages compared to other grape varieties being grown in Vietnam such as: healthy growth, fast to harvest, sweet fruit, mild aroma and especially no taste. There were seeds, so Mr. Tran Minh Tung began to learn about the characteristics and techniques of growing this grape variety. In 2019, seeing that his son had a passion for farming, the family had land available, so Mr. Tung boldly invested in a drip irrigation system, materials for making trellis, tarpaulins, heat sinks and ordered 200 plants. Ha Den grape variety from Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry for trial planting. Mr. Tran Minh Tung shared that in the coming time, he will continue to expand the area of Ha Den grapes. In addition to selling grapes, he will develop the vineyard into a tourist attraction and experience. Mr. Tung said that when he brought the grapes to plant, everyone around him told him to take risks because grapes are often grown in the South Central coastal provinces, in Bien Hoa City, only a few families have grown as ornamentals. Planting for shade, few people grow grapes on a large scale (about 700-800m2) like him. When buying materials and equipment to build a truss, receiving grape varieties for planting, he realized that he had taken a risk when he spent 120 million VND to do something without knowing success or failure. Encouraged by his family, especially his son, and expressed his determination to successfully grow the Ha Den grape variety with his father, Mr. Tung felt empowered. However, passion and determination is one thing, the reality of growing and taking care of grapes is another. In addition to instructions from Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry, in order to take care of the vineyard, he had to find books to read, go online to find articles about Ha Den grapes for reference, and even fly from South to North, find gardeners to learn from experience. The vineyard is located next to the house, so the first time he planted it, he was in the vineyard almost every day to monitor the growth of the grapes, as long as the grapes showed signs of abnormality, he would contact a number of gardeners to ask and handle. right. Thanks to that, after only 2 years of growing grapes, Mr. Tung has mastered all techniques of growing and taking care of grapes, handling problems related to Ha Den vine. Knowing the vineyard, many people in Bien Hoa City came to visit and take pictures at the vineyard. Photo: Facebook Nguyen Thuy MC According to Mr. Tung’s share, in addition to buying healthy seedlings, a prerequisite for growing Ha Den grapes is a roof. The roof is made of transparent nylon that has the effect of covering heavy rain to prevent leaf breakage, fruit loss, and pest control. The fertilizing and watering is not the same as for ordinary plants, but must use a drip irrigation system and an automatic fertilizing system on the grapevine, absolutely do not water the leaves. In the period of flowering and fruiting, the care is the most difficult because it is necessary to prune flowers, prune fruit, and cover fruit. The technique of pruning grapes needs to be very skillful so as not to scratch the fruit and cause it to crack when it grows. In the near-harvest stage, watering must be stopped to increase the sweetness of the grapes. * Add a “check-in” place for Bien Hoa people Ha Den Vineyard has only been nearly 2 years old so far, starting to generate income. Mr. Tung said that from the 2nd year onwards until the 8th year is the time when the grapes are at their strongest, so the yield will be higher, about 5kg/plant/crop (2 crops per year). Because this is the first harvest, the family wants to create conditions for customers to try Ha Den grapes, so the family only sells it for 120,000 VND/kg (while in the market, the price ranges from 150 to 170 thousand VND/kg). . Ha Den Vineyard not only brings income to Mr. Tung’s family but also becomes a destination to visit and take pictures of Bien Hoa people. Ms. Trieu Hoa Ngoc Lan, Secretary of Doan P. Tan Hanh said, Bien Hoa city has no fruit garden that can serve the needs of visiting, taking pictures and experiencing, so the grape growing model is quite new. She contributed to introduce the vineyard to friends, colleagues, and youth union members. Therefore, the first grape crop last year, although there were not many fruits, attracted many visitors to visit and take pictures. Having a hobby of traveling experiences, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thao An (living in Quang Vinh Ward, Bien Hoa City) has traveled to experience many gardeners inside and outside the province. According to Ms. Thao An, in Da Lat she had been to the garden of cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries…; Coming to Ninh Thuan, she visited the vineyard and dragon fruit. In the province, she visited Tan Trieu pomelo garden, rambutan garden in Long Khanh… Most recently, when friends introduced about Ha Den vineyard in Bien Hoa city, Thao An also came and “checked in” here. Ms. Thao An shared, Ha Den vineyard is the same size as other gardeners she has been to, but has the advantage of being located in the campus of Bien Hoa city. This is a favorable condition for those living in Bien Hoa city who are passionate about garden tourism like her to take advantage of visiting and taking pictures without spending much time traveling. A special feature, besides visiting Ha Den vineyard, visitors can manually cut their favorite bunch of grapes with scissors, taste grapes right at the garden, but only pay the amount equivalent to the purchase amount. grapes.

Under the hot, hot summer sun, but the coastal alluvial area of Nga Son district has a quite cool climate thanks to the immense green mangrove forest. This is the end of the Len river flowing into Lach Sung estuary, dividing the boundary between Nga Son and Hau Loc districts. The decades-old ‘green lung’ runs for more than 5 km, not only helping to regulate the climate but also playing a great role in breaking waves and storms, protecting both large coastal areas and aquaculture areas. hundreds of hectares of Nga Son district.

With dozens of years old, Nga Son mangrove trees are quite thick, 5-7m high, the sour cork trees are even higher than 10m. With Mr. Mai Van Cong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nga Thuy commune (Nga Son) and some local people, we went down the mangrove forest which was full of life. Although I have returned to this “green wall” nearly a dozen times, each time I come here, I have more interesting experiences. Standing on the sea dyke adjacent to the mouth of the Len River, zooming in on the green color, the end of the forest cannot be seen with the naked eye. According to research, the length of this coastal mangrove forest is more than 5 km, extending through the coastal area of Nga Tan, Nga Thuy, Nga Tien, and Nga Thai communes. The deeper you go into the forest, a cool air spreads. The forest is a “crowded” of swamp plants, such as: cork, mangrove, tiger, parrot, creating a mutual plant population, resisting the harshness of storms and tidal waves. The forest trees here are on average 5 to 7 m high, many cork oak trees are about 10 m high. From the shaggy trunks, sprouted a dense root system like millions of arms embracing the marshy ground. Under the trees, when the tide recedes, all kinds of crabs, fishes, goby fish… fences and runs away when they see people’s shadows. That is to see, the “green lung” at this Nga Son estuary is an important habitat for aquatic species to grow and develop. This place is considered desolate, quite far from these residential areas, it is also the shelter and feeding place of many migratory birds, especially white storks and many native birds. Formerly deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Nga Son district, who was assigned to monitor and manage the district’s mangrove forests, Mr. Mai Van Cong knows quite well the development history of each area of the forest. According to him, with 450 hectares of coastal wetlands, from 1995 to 1996, Nga Son district was supported to plant mangroves under the sponsorship program of the Vietnam Red Cross. In the years 2005 – 2006, the forest continued to be intercropped and expanded by the Government’s new project of 5 million hectares of forest. According to management data of the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the area of Nga Son mangrove forest is 347 hectares, of which Nga Thuy commune has 290 hectares. Currently, there are more than 20 local households in the district contracted to protect each forest area, so the conservation of the mangrove forest is quite good. When we came here, it was also the season when the mangrove trees were in bloom. According to local people, from April to July every year, the color of the flowers of tiger, parrot, cork, and mangrove species cover the whole forest. This is also the time, hundreds of households in the area bring tens of thousands of honey bee colonies to the forest edge to take advantage of the huge source of flowers. Honey from mangrove flowers has a characteristic aroma, light sweetness, and is loved by many people. Through each flowering season, the fruits of forest trees continue to fall into the swamp, many young buds and buds bloom, continue to grow and expand to the surrounding areas. The roots continue to deepen, creating a strong tree position, playing the role of preventing wind and waves, and protecting the safety of the dike. Inside the forest, the brackish water aquaculture area is considered the second largest in Thanh Hoa province, which is protected from storms and high tides. Well-preserved, Nga Son mangrove forest is considered to have the largest biomass in Thanh Hoa today with a system of mature trees that are decades old. The forest has been covered with a permanent green color, in addition to protecting the ecological environment, it also creates many livelihoods for residents around the area.

The project is intended for export and is supposed to attract the interest of less affluent countries looking to upgrade their fleets. In mid-April 2021, Rubin Design Studio unveiled a new project. They provide background information about an unusual idea, upcoming implementation, and expected results. In addition, this design studio also shows a hologram of a patrol boat with submarine features. The new export-oriented project is named ‘Sentinel’ in Russian, with the English designation chosen as ‘Border and Offshore Submersible Sentry’ or ‘BOSS’ . Sentinel will most likely be marketed as ‘BOSS’ in the international market. The project developers note that modern patrol boats are relatively cheap – and due to their low cost, they attract the attention of poor countries. The main goal of such ships is to be able to prevent poaching and illegal fishing. “Project Sentinel proposes the construction of a ship capable of operating on water or under water. It is claimed that such a ship in a position on the water will be able to carry out official patrols, locate and arrest violators,” said Viktor Murahovsky, editor-in-chief of the magazine’ Homeland Arsenal’, said. “The underwater location is intended for covert surveillance of intruders, reconnaissance and even to avoid adverse weather conditions.” According to him, this is the first version of the diving patrol boat. In the future, the model can be modified to suit the wishes of foreign customers. The official image shows a ship that has the appearance of a submarine but has some uncharacteristic features of a submarine. The Sentinel had an elongated hull with a flat deck on which a limited-sized superstructure was placed. At the bow of the ship, the shield of the hydroacoustic complex antenna can be seen. On either side, forward of the superstructure control tower, there are extendable horizontal rudders. At the stern of the ship there is a compartment for storing motorboats that are brought on deck. As expected, the architecture and main dimensions of the ‘Sentinel’ are similar to the diesel-electric submarines designed under the old ‘Project 613’. This is a major project in the history of the Russian Navy and is very popular with foreign customers. Depending on configuration, ‘BOSS’ ships can be up to 60-70 meters in length and displace around 1,000 tons – approximately the size of an average 613 submarine. The full composition of the ship’s special systems and equipment is not specified. But this semi-submersible patrol boat is capable of carrying weapons of all kinds. It can be equipped with a small artillery complex, a missile system or torpedoes. For reconnaissance and inspection of other ships, the ship will be able to carry UAVs and motorboats. Sentinel can accommodate up to 42 people. This includes crew members, ship operators, and inspection teams responsible for dealing with violators. “The development of the Sentinel project is to meet the current requirements of the international market. Many countries are expressing interest in patrol boats. Thanks to the Sentinel project, Russian industry was able to gain a new position in the international market,” said expert Murahovsky.

A beautiful road nearly 130 km long, along the coast with many national monuments and landscapes in Phu Yen will form in the near future, promising to attract many investors to big projects.
Recently, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) has dispatched an official reply to the petition of the voters of Phu Yen on the construction and completion of the coastal road of this province. Accordingly, this road has been included in the detailed planning of Vietnam’s coastal road and approved by the Prime Minister. The road has a scale of grade 3, especially the section from Hung Vuong bridge (Tuy Hoa city) to Da Nong bridge (Dong Hoa town) with a length of more than 30 km is planned as an urban road with a median strip between. This road is invested by the Ministry of Transport and Phu Yen province with more than 50% of construction.

The Ministry of Transport said that in order to complete this coastal route, Phu Yen province needs to actively balance the budget, in case of difficulties, it should report to the Government for consideration and support in the medium-term public investment plan (2021-2025). ). The completion of the road will create a beautiful road, connecting with many national monuments and landscapes, which is the driving force to attract investors to large coastal projects of Phu Yen province. From this coastal road, visitors can see the beautiful Bai Mon at the foot of Dien Cape If counted from the South to the North, this road will run through the National Historic Site of Tau No Number, bringing visitors to Vung Ro to enjoy fresh seafood here. This road will continue to take visitors to Bai Mon for scuba diving, to Mui Dien to watch the sunrise. That road will take visitors through Tuy Hoa city with fields on one side and the sea on the other to Bai Xep of Tuy An district (an attractive destination for tourists through the movie “I see yellow flowers on green grass”). . Not far to the north is the national scenic spot Hon Yen – where visitors do not need to wade into the water can still touch each piece of beautiful coral flowers floating on the sea surface at low tide. Continuing to move to the North, less than 10 km, that road will pass through the national landscape of O Loan lagoon famous for greasy milk oysters, blood scallops and Ganh Da Dia, which has just been recognized as a heritage site. special national scenic spots. Out of the territory of Tuy An district, the road will take visitors to the national landscape of Xuan Dai bay – where Phu Yen province is calling for investment to build into one of eight key national tourist areas and will come to you. a series of beautiful beaches, from Bai Nom to Bai Bau, Bai Rang… to Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh province). Many projects have been licensed to invest by Phu Yen province along the sea, but not many projects have been started construction and put into operation. Among the many reasons given by investors, there is a reason to wait for a road through the coast of Phu Yen province connecting the two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Binh Dinh.

In the central area of Hue city, with the complete investment in the walking route along the Huong River, there is a new space for visitors to explore the poetic beauty of Hue. In recent years, Thua Thien – Hue also has many applications to help visitors experience smart travel with extremely impressive and attractive virtual reality. Outstanding among such applications can be mentioned the program “Finding the lost palace” at Dai Noi. With VR360 virtual reality technology, visitors can see with their own eyes the old Imperial Hue space with multidimensional architectural works dating back hundreds of years. . In addition, there is also an automatic narration system with 12 different languages in the Palace area and mausoleums.

Besides Highway 1, from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet and Phan Rang, you can follow coastal routes with less traffic, more beautiful scenes.
Located in a radius of 300-400 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan are two popular destinations for 3-4 day trips. At the end of April and early May, this area has dry and sunny weather, so cars are a suitable means of transport to explore the two provinces of the South Central Coast.

The coastal road in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan has many beautiful landscapes. Photo: Gemini. Besides choosing places to explore and relax, you should pay more attention to the direction of travel and problems of traffic and vehicles to make the trip safe and convenient. Notable coastal roads From Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, a familiar route is the Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway and National Highway 1. This is the main road chosen by many people, easy to go but often crowded at the end. week and holidays, Tet. You can consider adding the direction of Highway 51 (Ba Ria – Vung Tau) and Highway 55 to reach La Gi (Binh Thuan). From La Gi, travel about 30 km to reach Ke Ga cape, which has the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam. This is an interesting but little-noticed destination in Binh Thuan. Exploring along the coast of Vietnam in Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan is one of the journey worth trying. From Ke Ga lighthouse, going about 50 km further along the provincial road next to the sea will come to Phan Thiet. The limitation of this road is not too spacious, but next to the sea, the scenery is not too prominent. In return, traffic density is sparse and road conditions are good enough to move freely. From Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, the road chosen by most tourists facing Ninh Thuan is Bau Trang. This is considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Vietnam, one side is the sand hill and the other is the blue sea. Going to the end of Bau Trang street, you should go to Highway 1 to go straight to Ca Na beach, bordering Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan. This section of road is open and wide, traveling comfortably, so you can consider bypassing the section of provincial road DT716 running along the coast to save time. The weather in early May in the South Central Coast is dry and sunny. Photo: Gemini, Uyen Le. Just into Ninh Thuan, you should turn right from Highway 1 onto Ninh Thuan Coastal Road. The first section is the salt-drying beaches of Ca Na lagoon, followed by the short pass of the seabark and the end of the road will reach the Mui Dinh lighthouse. Continue to the North to run across the newly built wind power area along Phan Rang Bay. Compared to taking Highway 1, this direction is farther but it will definitely be more interesting. In addition to the option of resting at Phan Rang – Thap Cham, you can go further to Vinh Hy Bay, one of the must-go places when traveling to the South Central Coast. The section DT702 from Ninh Thuan center to Vinh Hy bay, passing Nui Chua National Park with a part of going to the coast, will surely leave many memorable impressions for the tourism itinerary in Ninh Thuan. In addition to the places mentioned above, to Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan, you can find some outstanding attractions such as Mui Ne fishing village, White sand hill, Co Thach beach, Dam Nai wind power, Po Klong Garai Cham tower, Binh Hung island … Mui Ne is one of the famous resorts in Binh Thuan. Photo: Duy Hieu. Note when moving There will be a few notes for drivers who have never passed through these exploratory routes. The first is to choose the right direction to travel with the sightseeing and dining plan to save time and avoid unnecessary detours. If the driver is unfamiliar with the road, he should pay attention to the direction and observe the signs so as not to go in the wrong direction. The common point of most coastal roads in the South Central Coast is that it is not too spacious, usually with only one lane on each side. Therefore, drivers need to keep a suitable speed and pay close attention, especially when passing through residential areas or a secluded section with many corners, obscuring the view. Avoid being subjective when you see the road is clear and empty but want speed. Besides, before going far, the driver needs to check the overview to make sure the car is in good condition, able to operate stably and safely. The main items to check are lubricants, coolant, chassis, lights, tire pressure …

Unlike other high-end campgrounds, visitors to a picnic in Ho Coc need to prepare many necessary items for a complete trip. Clear green beach, fine sand create charm for Ho Coc.

After a heavy rain, at many points on the coastal roads of Binh Thuan province, the phenomenon of overflowing sand (sand flood) continues to happen, causing serious traffic congestion.
By the morning of April 24, the work of overcoming the consequences of the sand spillage (sand flood) incident occurring at many points on the coastal roads of Binh Thuan province is still being urgently implemented by the people and the functional departments.

As recorded, late on the night of April 23, after a long heavy rain, a series of areas in Mui Ne ward (Phan Thiet city) and Hoa Thang commune (Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province) had a sand spill incident. , many serious places, causing traffic jams for many hours. Sand floods made the land of Doc Mo (Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province) torn apart. In which, the area most affected is route 716 (the Doc Ma section, Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district). According to local people, at the time of the heavy rain, sand and water from the hillside collapsed onto Road 716, causing serious congestion, a series of vehicles could not move. Due to the large amount of sand and water pouring down, the land on the road 716 was torn apart, forming a trench nearly 20 meters deep, hundreds of meters long running straight to the sea. By the morning of April 24, vehicles were able to pass through the 716 road area of Bac Binh district By the morning of April 24, the amount of sand and water that had drifted along this trench poured straight into the sea so the means of transport were able to move normally. Also on the coastal road in Mui Ne ward (Phan Thiet city), a series of places similar sand spill phenomenon occurs, causing traffic to be affected. In the area before the real estate project Apec Mandala Wyndham Mui Ne, the overflowing sand covered a section of the road As observed, in the area in front of real estate projects Sunny Villa and Apec Mandala Wyndham Mui Ne, sand overflowed to cover a section of the road. Currently, these project owners are sending manpower and means to clean up the consequences. In particular, also on the night of April 23, at the GoldSand Hill Villa real estate project, the phenomenon of sand overflowing continued to make it difficult for many vehicles to travel. Before that, late at night on April 20, after a heavy rain, there was a serious sand spillage phenomenon, causing many vehicles to be buried, many restaurants and people’s houses were affected. Also on the night of April 23, in the face of complicated heavy rains, there was a risk of sand spillage, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee and the delegation checked and suggested Stakeholders take measures to ensure safety, prevent landslides, overflowing sand, affecting people’s lives. Late April 23rd, at GoldSand Hill Villa real estate project, the phenomenon of sand overflowed, making many vehicles difficult to pass by. Along with that, after the sand spill incident at the GoldSand Hill Villa real estate project, the Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee issued a document to direct the concerned departments to completely resolve the situation. Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee assigns the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant units to organize a physical inspection of the project area, compare all design documents, construction permits, construction items, verify cause of landslides, sand; review all project documents, request the project owner to immediately remove the recovered sand from the project, to avoid similar landslides when the rainy season is coming. In the coming rainy season, if the authorities and real estate developers do not have solutions to prevent sand spills, the problems will likely continue to occur.

Staff installing a 5G base station in Korea. Photo: Koreabizwire According to the ministry above, carriers include SK Telecom Co., KT Corp. and LG Uplus Corp. signed an agreement so that 5G users could access the high-speed network of any other service provider they registered in 131 remote locations across South Korea. Accordingly, 5G users will be able to use another carrier’s network in places where their service provider does not have coverage. The Ministry of Science and ICT said telecom carriers will test network sharing systems before the end of the year and aim to fully phased in by 2024. Remote areas selected to provide 5G network sharing are sparsely populated, with a population density of 92 people / km2, while areas that do not share 5G networks have a population density of 3,490. person / km2. The move to share 5G networks comes as South Korea is racing to establish 5G coverage nationwide, with network equipment currently installed in major cities. In July 2020, the three major South Korean carriers pledged to invest up to 25,700 billion won (23.02 billion USD) to upgrade the network infrastructure by 2020. As of February 2021, South Korea has 13.66 million 5G subscribers, accounting for about 19% of the country’s total mobile network subscribers. South Korea was the first country in the world to commercialize 5G networks in April 2019.

Quang Yen town is characterized by topography and soil of a coastal estuarine delta, with great potential for development of agriculture – fisheries with thousands of hectares of intertidal land for aquaculture. Here, people have created a unique aquaculture model: hanging rope farming in the estuary area. This is also a typical OCOP product of Quang Yen.

The appropriate time for nursing Ha is late February and early March of the lunar calendar.

Hanging string farming is most developed in Hoang Tan commune. Currently the whole commune has thousands of rafts of oysters, large and small. Over the past 10 years, many households in Hoang Tan island commune have developed their economy, enriched by raising oysters.

Previously, the farming of Ha was fragmented, mainly the way of raising on tiger parrot branches, both ineffective and affecting the ecological environment of the mangrove area. Since 2011, a number of households have tried farming by driving piles to the tidal flats, then tie the piles together into trusses and hang up skewer.

Mr. Truong Van Ket, Chairman of Hoang Tan Commune Farmers Association, said: From a few experimental farming households, up to now, the commune has nearly 1,000 households raising hanging ropes, with a scale of over 4,000 hectares of water surface. In this form of farming, they have a fast growth rate, a high survival rate of 80-95%, and a harvest of about 5,000 tons / year.

Working as oyster farming, hanging rope is not too hard, but it requires experience. The farming process is very simple, just take advantage of the exploited shells, bring them to dry in the sun, then punch a hole in the shell to skew to the rope and release. Depending on whether seed is obtained from the wild or from imported seed sources, farmers will create potting ropes with suitable density.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bong’s family in village 5, Hoang Tan commune has been attached to the farming of stringed stringers for more than ten years. Like many other families here, at the end of February, the beginning of the third lunar month is when his family and other households start to breed Ha. In the morning, when the water is dry, people take advantage of tying the skewers of mint to the truss, waiting for the tide to rise. These skewers will become the substrates for the seed in nature to cling to.

After about 2-3 months of nursing, the seedlings have grown to the size of their fingers, people begin to separate each cord to hang to create conditions for the hippopotamus to develop. Each cord has about 5-6 children, hanging about 10-15cm apart. When high tide floods the hanging piles, the tidal currents of the Ha stick cling to the crust and grow and develop on their own. Ha will eat the plankton, algae in the water to grow. So oyster farming does not cost much to buy food and take care like other types of seafood.

However, Mr. Bong also shared that this job is much affected by weather conditions and water salinity, so the risk is quite high. Sometimes, the whole crop will disappear if the water source is polluted, and the disease will die. On the other hand, if the stocking is too dense, it can make the galaxies look fatter for a long time, the harvest time is extended for several months, leading to the higher rate of death.

Model of raising ocean on raft.

The time to switch from summer to autumn when the weather is cold is the time when the hanging rope grows fastest. Farmers have to calculate the tidal water to move the rafts to the farming area with lots of algae to feed them. Usually around November of the lunar calendar begins to harvest.

Compared with wild extraction, the hanging rope model is 10 times more effective, while the initial investment cost is not much, and easy to harvest. Ha in Hoang Tan is of better quality. Because of the mixture of soil, water and soil, the Ha is fat, thicker than the cultured in other localities.

Oyster farming not only brings about great economic value but also benefits in environmental protection. Oysters and mussels purify water through their breathing, and they also eat microorganisms and plankton that make seawater cleaner.

Since the occupation of hanging string, the life of the island commune people gradually changed their flesh. Hoang Tan has become a supplier of oysters, mussels and other aquatic species to a large number of the province, and is famous for its fresh and greasy oyster products. This is also one of the key products of Quang Yen province in implementing the OCOP program, one product per commune and ward.

And when mentioning Hoang Tan, people will immediately remember the profession of hanging rope – a profession that attaches to the lives of coastal people, lives on the sea, contributes to the protection of the marine environment and receives precious gifts. prices from the sea.
