Sony Xperia 1 Mark III is sold by some portable stores for 30 million dong, while genuine goods are not yet available on shelves.
This series of products are brought back from the Chinese market. It is also the only place in the world where the Xperia 1 III is available. According to a store in Hanoi, the product is currently “portable” in small quantities and is out of stock. Users who want to buy need to pre-order and receive the device after about 2 days.

The version sold in China is similar to the international version, which can be used with a sim card for immediate use. In the box there is a 30 Watt charger, a USB-C cable, but no headphones. Xperia 1 Mark III portable from China, sold for 30 million VND in Vietnam. Photo: Ngoc Dung Xperia 1 III was launched by Sony in April. This year the product was first sold in the Chinese market on June 1, instead of Japan. After only 10 days, the first machines were brought to Vietnam. In China, Xperia 1 III entered the Top 10 best-selling high-end smartphones after a day of launch. Compared to the previous generation, Xperia 1 III has not much difference in appearance. The device is still equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, 4K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 21: 9 screen ratio. The product uses Snapdragon 888 chip, 12GB RAM, 4,500mAh battery and still maintains a 3.5mm headphone port. The device’s three-camera system provides four focal lengths, one of which is capable of switching between 70mm and 135mm focal lengths (FullFrame standard). The ability to capture 20 frames per second, focus and eye detection, including animal eyes, from high-end cameras is also included on the Xperia 1 III. In Vietnam, many leaked sources said that genuine products could be launched in July, but the expected price is unknown. With a portable price of about VND 30 million, Xperia 1 III is one of the highest priced portable smartphones on the market, equivalent to iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 GB.

The miracle of building Fansipan cable car was established by Sun Group people, not only with technology, but with faith, teamwork and extremely small things.
Cable car through the clouds, near the top of Fansipan, rhododendron flaps have bloomed sporadically, sometimes hidden, sometimes in the mist.

“ So beautiful ‘, many tourists exclaimed. “ This cable car must be done in the West, but how can Vietnam do it? “. “ It’s Vietnam that did it “. “ That’s amazing, the forest, the mountains are so steep, it’s really talented to get the cable up “. “ Must use a helicopter, right? “… Questions from visitors mixed in with the sound of loudspeakers introducing the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area. Suddenly, it has been 5 years since Sun Group inaugurated the cable car line connecting the earth to the sky, Trinh Van Ha, Dang Ngoc Hong and their teammates have just returned to Sapa. Fansipan cable car “flying” through Muong Hoa valley. “ Everything has changed so much “. Sapa is no longer as attractive as the day when surveying engineer Trinh Van Ha carried a backpack for 8-9 hours on the bus from Hanoi to Fansipan. The stories between the two guys who used to eat the dew and sleep in the mountains every day kept flowing, on the cable car cabin – something they used to wonder constantly “ Can it be done and when will it be done? , when standing from the foot of the mountain looking up, do not know where is the top of Fansipan that they have to take the cable car to. “ Initially, the cable car station was planned to be built in Sin Chai. But there, if you choose to set the station too low, guests will not be able to see the beauty of Muong Hoa valley. If placed in a high position, it will affect the unspoiled landscape. The current departure station location is high enough for visitors to see the valley, low enough not to disrupt the beautiful landscape of the Hoang Lien range. “- the story of choosing the location of the departure station, the arrival station, and the cable car poles, Trinh Van Ha still remembers it clearly. Because you had to climb all 5 mountains around Fansipan peak several times before coming to the final decision. “ The shack is still there. 700 thousand/night Dang Ngoc Hong pointed to the shack peeking under the forest canopy, recalling the memory of the early days of climbing Fansipan, not having time to return to town when it was dark, the ethnic people charged a fee to stay in a shack for a night more than a hotel. 3 stars. The fear of getting lost in the night in the middle of Hoang Lien forest made him shiver. Sun Group engineers went to survey Fansipan in 2013. From the cable car cabin looking at the mountain range on the other side, only seeing 35kV electric poles soaring out of the forest, the feeling of reverberation echoed in him. On that day, every morning, “human ants” (indigenous people were hired to carry materials to the mountains to build electricity pylons) diligently carrying cement, iron and steel… along the mountain’s spine. climb up. “ At one point, 400-500 Hmong (Sapa) and Thai (Lai Chau) people were mobilized to speed up the construction progress. “- Mr. Hong said. Without that 35kV power line, there is no Fansipan cable car now. Making the power line to the top is equally arduous as making the cable car. That day, the luggage that Trinh Van Ha brought to Fansipan was the experience of the guy who had participated in 2 cable car routes to set a world record in Ba Na. But all does not seem to help much, maybe, just a little experience in the jungle, but the forest in Fansipan is far from Ba Na forest. Monolithic stone is transported to the top of Fansipan by human power. In the first days of coming to Sapa, the feeling of excitement quickly gave way to skepticism. The bone-chilling cold at the top was like a needle piercing the skin. Putting down the phone after the quick calls home, he wondered: why did I accept my boss’s invitation to come to this sacred forest and poison water? Or, at best, go home? Ask, to answer yourself: don’t give up. Three months before April 30, 2015, every day, Mr. Nguyen Khac Tuong, captain of the LCS cable maintenance team, signed papers for thousands of people to enter Hoang Lien National Park to work for the cable car company. only about 100 people could stay. Up to now, the nights of heavy snow that had to stay at the T4 tower still haunt Chiang. “ Always have a stick by your side, sometimes you have to get up to see if the canvas is sunken to use a stick to poke the snow down, otherwise the shack will collapse. “. Sleeping on your back? The sleep of those who climb the forest and climb mountains all day has never been as easy as people think. On rainy and windy nights, more than ten boys crawled into a shack set up low like a sowing tent in the countryside, half sitting, half lying down waiting for the morning sun, anxiously afraid of the flood. Snakes, graters, half-cooked meals, days when the flood broke up, food could not be moved to the mountains, eating raw instant noodles with little breath… In this life, none of you can forget Fansipan that day. “Duck tent” to avoid the sun and rain of engineers and construction workers on the top of Fansipan. The harshness of the peak of 3143m is a test for Sun Group and foreign experts. After a lot of surveys, the results show that with a steep terrain, the single-wire cable car will not be able to withstand the gusts of wind that can reach level 12 in Fansipan. And the solution proposed by Doppelmayr cable car experts is a three-wire cable car – a technology that Sun Group engineers have never tried. “ Compared with a single-wire cable car, besides the skyrocketing construction cost, the implementation is many times more complicated. 3-wire cable car requires very high accuracy with a tolerance of only 2.5mm – an extremely difficult requirement, it takes a lot of time to get the right construction plan. “- engineer Trinh Van Ha said. And Sun Group chose the three-wire option. Why? Can you still keep the one-line option that was successful in Ba Na? For the safety of visitors. In high wind conditions, the 3-wire cable can still operate smoothly to bring passengers to the top or back to the station. And for the safety of Hoang Lien forest. Using 3-wire cable technology, the number of cable poles will be much less, and this will be the solution that has the least impact on the environment and natural landscape. “ Minimizing interference in the environment when it is a prerequisite “, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hong once again confirmed the explanations of engineer Trinh Van Ha. Decision despite the cost, difficulty. Choose to do it manually so as not to affect the environment. Sun Group posed a difficult problem for its engineers, and made Doppelmayr’s own experts doubtful. The difference in construction of Fansipan cable car. Initially, when the service cable was almost finished, the basic service station had just finished the foundation. Witnessing the image of Vietnamese workers digging manually, foreign experts said that it took 5 years for this work to take shape. However, after just over 2 years, Fansipan cable car was officially inaugurated, in the joy of people eating wind, sleeping dew, turning themselves into “tarzan” for many months in the forest. Looking back now, they still wonder, somehow, that day, I can make it through. But one thing is certain that you all know, it is the care, love, and camaraderie in difficult times that created the motivation for the Fansipan army that day to conquer thousands, creating a work for a lifetime. . “ Day by day, terrors became the norm. Love, solidarity, care, sharing from a piece of rice, a cigarette, a warm coat are the last things left. “, Mr. Trinh Van Ha is sad. Cable car to Arrival Station. Among the noisy guests on how to build the Fansipan cable car, it is not clear if anyone could understand that the Sun Group people pulled the cable by hand, following the forest road, not by helicopter like the experts. Doppelmayr family still do.

In June, up to 2 out of 5 undersea cable routes in Vietnam had problems, affecting the speed of accessing foreign websites in Vietnam. One of the two lines completed repairs on June 11, while the other line will not be completed until at least next month.

Due to the complex structure and passage of the seabed, repair of fiber optic cables can take weeks. Illustration. Specifically, the APG fiber optic cable had a problem since May 11 near Hong Kong. The cause of the fault was determined to be a shun fault. The repair process of this cable route lasted 5 days, during which the entire service to and from Hong Kong, China of APG project member partners was interrupted. On the morning of June 11, a representative of an Internet service provider (ISP) confirmed that the error of the APG fiber optic cable had been fixed. For the AAE-1 route, the incident on May 25 was determined to be a broken cable. The incident partially disrupted the carrier’s service to Hong Kong. According to the announcement of the company in charge of the AAE-1 cable route to Vietnamese ISPs, it is expected that the repair time for this cable line will last from June 22 to July 13. The two cable lines mentioned above are the ones with large capacity. The APG route, with the investment of four Vietnamese carriers, VNPT, Viettel, FPT and CMC, has been in operation since December 2016. With a maximum bandwidth of 54 Tbps and a length of 10,400 km, the APG route passes through many Asian landing points such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Meanwhile, the AAE-1 line has been in operation since July 2017, with a length of 25,000 km and a total capacity of 40Tb/s. This cable route has the role of improving quality towards Europe and the Middle East as well as providing additional capacity and redundancy towards the connection direction to Hong Kong and Singapore. According to representatives of ISPs, when an undersea cable problem occurs, the network operators must navigate through other fiber optic routes or other directions of the route that is having trouble. Specifically, Viettel has routed and supplemented traffic for TGN-IA, APG routes to Singapore and AAE-1 to France. Meanwhile, CMC Telecom increased capacity via cable direction across Southeast Asia (A-Grid), connecting Internet from Vietnam through Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. VNPT navigates and loads other cable directions that are operating stably such as CSC, AAG, IA, SMW3.

Illustration. Internet source Specifically, on May 11, there was an incident on the S6 segment of the APG (Asia Pacific Gateway) undersea cable line. The system has mobilized ships and started repairing the above incident from June 6 and is expected to be completed tomorrow, June 11; However, during the repair, it disrupts all services to and from Hong Kong – China, so it affects network operators in Vietnam participating in APG project investment. On May 25, the AAE-1 (Asia Africa Europe – 1) cable route had a fiber break on the FP10 pair of the S1H.1 segment (about 2,072 miles from the Cape D’Aguilar landing station, Hong Kong – China. km towards Vung Tau-Vietnam). The incident on this route caused a small part of the service interruption of the domestic carrier in the route to Hong Kong – China. International partners are expected to troubleshoot the S1H.1 segment from June 22 to July 13, 2021. Incidents on two undersea fiber optic cables have a common effect on all network operators and internet service providers in Vietnam. To overcome, on the afternoon of June 10, a representative of Viettel Group said that when a problem occurred, Viettel immediately implemented a routing plan, optimized, and added capacity (including backup capacity) on the network. other undersea cable routes are TGN-IA (towards Hong Kong – China and Singapore) and APG (towards Singapore), AAE-1 (towards France) as well as preparing land cable resources for international connection. to ensure quality service to customers. In case customers have difficulty accessing, please contact Viettel via switchboard 18008119 to find out the exact cause and provide the fastest support. A representative of VNPT said that immediately after the above incident, VNPT carried out load balancing, redirected connections to other undersea cable routes as well as a number of land cables to ensure the quality of services provided to them. customer. “We navigate and load other cable directions that are operating stably such as CSC, AAG, IA, SMW3”, a VNPT representative said. According to CMC Telecom, this unit has also increased capacity through the cable direction across Southeast Asia (A-Grid), connecting the internet from Vietnam to Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to ensure supply. provide stable service to customers during the incident as well as the process of repairing and overcoming…

As 2 of the 5 undersea cable routes that account for the majority of Internet connection capacity from Vietnam to international, Asia Pacific Gateway (APG) and Asia Africa Europe 1 (AAE-1) are currently experiencing service interruptions.

Sharing with ICTnews this afternoon, June 10, a representative of Viettel confirmed, according to information from the operator of the undersea optical cable routes, on May 11 and May 25, two routes APG and AAE-1 have crashes in turn. Specifically, on May 11, a problem occurred on the S6 segment of the APG undersea cable line. The location of the cable problem is about 352 to 355 km from the TKO docking station in Hong Kong, China. The cause of the problem was determined to be a “shunt fault” but did not cause service disruption. The cable route management unit has mobilized the ship and started to carry out maintenance to fix the fault on the APG cable line from June 6 and is expected to be completed tomorrow, June 11. During the repair period, it will disrupt all services to and from Hong Kong, China of APG project member partners. The APG route is invested by four Vietnamese carriers, VNPT, Viettel, FPT and CMC. The incident occurred on May 25 on the S1H.1 segment of the AAE-1 cable line, which is expected to be fixed from June 22 to July 13 (Artwork: Internet) With the AAE-1 undersea cable, according to Internet service providers (ISPs) in Vietnam, the incident occurred on May 25 on the FP10 pair of the S1H.1 segment, far from the Cape D’Aguilar landing station. , HongKong, China about 2,072 km towards the port of Vung Tau, Vietnam. The cause of the problem was a fiber break, which partially disrupted the service to Hong Kong on the FP10 pair. The plan to overcome the problem that occurred on May 25 on the S1H.1 segment of the AAE-1 international undersea fiber optic cable has also been announced to ISPs in Vietnam, expected to start from June 22. and completed on 7/13. The fact that sea cable incidents occurred at the same time in the past time has affected the international connection capacity of telecommunications service providers in Vietnam. This is a common problem affecting all network operators and Internet service providers in Vietnam. However, according to a Viettel representative, the level of influence of this network operator is the lowest because before the sea cable incident, Viettel actively planned, routed, allocated and supplemented capacity, including capacity. redundancy on international connection cables to ensure the quality of service provided to customers. When an incident occurred, Viettel immediately implemented a routing plan, optimized and added capacity on other undersea cable routes including: TGN-IA towards Hong Kong and Singapore; APG heading to Singapore; AAE-1 goes to France as well as prepares land cable resources for international connections to ensure quality service for customers. “Viettel is continuing to work with the Management Board, operating the APG, AAE-1 undersea cable lines and the NEC contractor to have continuous updates on the plan to repair the above incidents. In case of difficulty accessing, customers contact Viettel via the switchboard 18008119 to find out the exact cause and support the fastest, “a Viettel representative said. Previously, talking to ICTnews, other carriers said that they had carried out load balancing, redirected connections to other undersea cable routes as well as some land cables to ensure the quality of service provided to customers. row. Specifically, CMC Telecom has increased capacity through the cable direction across Southeast Asia (A-Grid), connecting the Internet from Vietnam to Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. VNPT has actively navigated and loaded other cable directions that are operating stably such as CSC, AAG, IA, SMW3… Besides, VNPT is also actively coordinating with relevant units and partners to thoroughly check and fix international Internet connection problems.

Imagine how frustrating it would be if you had to work with a chair that caused your back pain or made it difficult to rest your legs. A beautiful chair is not as good as a comfortable chair. When choosing a chair, you should pay attention to the following factors: comfortable backrest, moderate height, wide enough armrest, sturdy chair legs, easy-to-move swivel wheels… 2.
Germany and Norway inaugurated the NordLink undersea cable line. Photo: DW With a total length of 623 km, NordLink is one of the longest undersea cables in the world, connecting the town of Tonstad in southern Norway to the mouth of the Elbe river in northern Germany. This cable route helps to exchange wind and solar energy produced in Germany for hydroelectric power produced in Norway, helping the two countries make up for the shortfall in electricity production due to fluctuations in the amount of wind and sun. The project is expected to help provide electricity for about 3.6 million households, which has been in operation since April, but officially opened on May 27. According to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the project is really a big step towards a sustainable and future-friendly energy supply for Germany. The project also helps to balance electricity production, which is an important part of the country’s growing efforts to expand renewable energy sources. Thorsten Lenck of the Agora Energy Transition research organization considers the NordLink project an important step in Germany’s energy transition and integration into the European power system. According to the plan, Germany will gradually phase out nuclear power by 2022 and coal power by 2038. Recently, Germany has also set many ambitious targets to reduce CO2 emissions after the Constitutional Court – a court Supreme Court in Germany, ruled that the current climate protection law was “not enough”, demanding an amendment to the law. With ambitious targets, the German government plans to cut emissions by 65% by 2030 compared with 1990 levels, further than the 55% reduction target set earlier. The reduction will then reach 88% by 2040, with the goal of making Germany carbon neutral by 2045, five years earlier than originally planned. For the first time ever, renewables in Germany will account for half of electricity production, compared with 25% less than 10 years ago, data from the Fraunhofer Research Institute shows. Interaction and exchange between different countries is also one of the pillars of the European Union’s climate strategy. To date, a number of cross-border projects have been operating between Norway and the Netherlands; Netherlands and Great Britain; Denmark and the Netherlands.

Unlike most means of transportation, cable car accidents are considered rare, occurring mainly in ski areas. Recently, such an accident happened in the mountain resort of Mottarone, Piedmont region, northern Italy, killing at least 14 people. This is considered the worst cable car disaster in Italy since 1998. Let’s review the terrible cable car accidents recently.
Cable car breaks due to uprooted trees in India

Cable car at the famous Gulmarg ski area. Photo: Getty. On June 25, 2017, a serious cable car failure occurred at the famous Gulmarg ski resort, Kashmir province, India. Local officials said the cause of the accident was bad weather. Specifically, strong gusts of wind uprooted a large tree, and then poured into the cable car system, causing the cable to break. According to the Times of India, the cabin carrying seven people, including two children, was thrown away and all were killed. The victims included a family of four from New Delhi, three others from Kashmir and Tangmarg. It is known that the cable car system at Gulmarg has an altitude of 4,100m. From this cable car, visitors can see the snow-capped Himalayas all year round. Cable car broke in Pakistan, the cabin fell from a height of 120m The broken cable car in Pakistan has never been licensed to operate. Photo: Express. Just 4 days after the cable car accident in India, on June 29, 2017, another cable car broke occurred at Murree resort in the village of Charra Pani, about 30km north of Islamabad, Pakistan. . The incident happened when the villagers of Charra Pani used the cable car as a means of crossing the river. Twelve people were killed and two others injured when the cable car cabin fell from a height of 120 meters. Local officials informed that this is a cable car system built by the people themselves and not yet licensed by the authorities. The fact that this system has not been censored from the beginning and is not regularly maintained is the reason for the accident at Murree. Cable car changing direction lost control in Georgia On March 16, 2018, at the resort of Gudauri, Georgia, a rare incident occurred when the cable car system suddenly changed direction and moved very quickly in the opposite direction, causing dozens of people to be thrown down. land. Witnesses at the scene said the cable car system was badly out of control. Many people were thrown from a great height and other tourists were forced to jump out of their cabins to avoid being hit by a cable post at the foot of the mountain. Ten people were reported in serious condition on arrival at the hospital. According to the resort’s representative, technical problems were the main cause of the accident. It is known that this is also the case that was turned into fake news, that the cable car broke in Japan, causing many deaths, including 12 Vietnamese. Cable car in Canada intentionally vandalized, fell into a canyon The cable car in the Sea to Sky Gondola area crashed into the gorge. Photo: CBC. The cable car at the famous attraction Sea to Sky Gondola, British Columbia province, western Canada, crashed into the canyon at 4am on August 10, 2019, after the cable part was cut, causing almost the entire 30 cabins of the system were severely damaged. Campers in the area said they heard loud bangs and metal at the time of the incident. Fortunately, because the cable car was not operational at the time of the incident, no tourists were injured. According to the investigation, the local police said this was a deliberate act of sabotage with a human element. The general director of Sea to Sky Gondola estimated the company lost more than 1 million USD, not including the lost revenue due to the closure. Some cable car disasters in history The Eniwetok rig is hooked up to a cable car in Singapore. On January 29, 1983, a train carrying a Panamanian oil rig got caught in the cable car system in Singapore, between Jardine Steps and Sentosa stations. As a result, two cabins fell into the sea at a depth of 55m, killing seven people. On July 1, 1999, a cable car carrying staff, janitors and maintenance engineers to the international astronomical observatory in St-Etienne-en-Dévoluy, France, suddenly broke and fell down. a valley. Specifically, this jet flew at a speed of ~870km / h at low altitude, despite warnings from the Pentagon, that the plane must be kept above 305m above the ground in that area. Also in Cavalese, Italy, on March 9, 1976, a cable car cabin in this area fell down a mountainside from a height of 200m and then was thrown another 300m before stopping at the foot of the mountain. 43 people were killed, including 15 children aged 7-15 and an 18-year-old employee. The only survivor was a 14-year-old student. Cavalese police said two cables were crossed and the other was broken. The automatic safety system was able to prevent disaster when the fault was detected, but was turned off when the incident occurred. The four officials involved had to be “reported” for accusations of irresponsibility and a number of other crimes.

At least 14 people were killed and one child was seriously injured in a horrific accident in the mountains of northern Italy on May 23, 2021. Photo: ANSA The above cable car route reopened last month after the blockade due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cabin that crashed on May 23, supposedly carrying 15 people to the top of the Stresa-Mottarone cable line, crashed halfway up the mountain at an altitude of 300 meters while the top of the cable was nearly 1,500 meters above sea level. This is a cable car that serves tourists from the town of Stresa in the Piedmont region to the top of Mount Mottarone, where visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the Alps. Rescuers said two injured children, one 5 years old, one 9 years old, were immediately transferred to a children’s hospital in Turin for treatment, but one child did not survive. The cable car cabin fell and rolled many times on the mountainside. Photo: AFP/ANSA Stress Mayor Marcella Severino said the cable car cabin fell about 20 meters above the ground and rolled several times over the slope before becoming stuck in the branches. Ms Severino added that climbers said they heard a loud hiss shortly before the crash. The National Rescue Service said they received a call shortly after 12 noon (local time) and the cable car was later found “crumbling” in the forest. The accident is believed to have been caused by one of the cables breaking, potentially raising questions about the quality of Italy’s transport infrastructure. Investigators on the same day began identifying the victims, including foreign nationals. Video of the scene of the terrible cable car accident (Source: Daily Mail) The rescue team examines the debris of a cable car belonging to the Stresa-Mottarone cable route. Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi offered condolences to the families of the victims, while Transport Minister Enrico Giovannini described the incident as a “terrible tragedy”. On the same day, May 23, European Council President Charles Michel also offered condolences on Twitter, saying “Europe mourns you”, while European Parliament President David Sassoli appealed on his personal Twitter page. “We must immediately clarify the cause of this absurd tragedy”. The cable car is said to have fallen halfway up a 300 meter high mountain, while the top of the mountain is 1,500 meters high. Emergency services and police were present at the scene of the tragedy. The scenery here is extremely peaceful, but the journey across the bridge is not for the faint of heart. The bridge is supported by steel cables and two massive towers on each side, the railing has a metal mesh, but visitors still feel a little “wobble” when crossing the bridge.
The world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge is located between two hills A pedestrian suspension bridge named 516 Arouca with a length of 516 meters has just opened in northern Portugal after 3 years of construction. The bridge, located inside the Arouca Geopark, hovers 175 meters above the Paiva River and connects two hills. The bridge as a tourist attraction for the Arouca area. It is next to the Paiva Walkways, an 8km trail that winds through the Arouca hills. When crossing the bridge visitors have views over the Pavia Gorge, towards the nearby Aguieiras Falls, and all the verdant rocky mountains in the Arouca geopark. The world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge is held up by steel cables and two large towers at each end. This pedestrian suspension bridge that can see through will shake with every step. The pedestrian walkway is made up of 127 metal cages stacked together. Hugo Xavier, the first person to have the courage to cross this bridge, said: “I was a little scared, but the experience was very unique, extraordinary, well worth it for you to overcome your fear”. Rui Brandao, who participated in the experience but did not dare to look down, said: “I recommend you try this experience once in your life even if you have a fear of heights like me.” Visitors can admire the natural beauty of the national park while standing on the bridge 516 Arouca Bridge, designed by the Portuguese company Itecons, is inspired by the ancient Inca rope bridges spanning the gorge in the Andes. Margarida Belém, Mayor of Arouca said: “This is a remarkable national monument, the most iconic structure in Arouca and in the whole country. It has certainly become a landmark of the present. great”. It will take you about 10 minutes if you walk while enjoying the panoramic view of the surroundings such as waterfalls, canyons and fast flowing river below through the mesh at your feet; or about 4 minutes if you’re just trying to get through quickly because you’re afraid of heights. The bridge is currently Europe’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge, surpassing Switzerland’s 494-meter-high Charles Kuonen Bridge, completed in 2017. It is also the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world because the 567-meter Baglung Parbat Footbridge in Nepal is quite simple, the bridge deck follows a curve and is supported like a cable car.

7:00 am, we arrived at Cai Rong port (Van Don district), boarded a modern 2-hull boat straight to Co To. Only 65 minutes later, the ship cut off the waves to dock on the island. An area of pearl island with white sand and blue sea, spacious roads make people feel like a corner of Nha Trang or Phu Quoc. Few people know that this place used to be a difficult area lacking hundreds of faces, even fresh water is also a luxury. The turning point came in 2013, the leaders of Quang Ninh province were determined to pull the power grid to the island, although the resources and technology were still limited at that time. Along with that is the construction of fresh water reservoirs. Having electricity and water has helped Co To’s economy “brighten”, people’s lives have been rapidly improved. Co To rose to become an attractive destination for tourists. ‘Bringing electricity to Co To island is strategic thinking’ Mr. Le Hung Son, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Co To district assessed that the project of bringing electricity to Co To island in 2013 was a great turning point, helping this island district to have great development. Co To is a pre-pepper island district of the country with 200 km of sea border stretching from Tran Island to Bach Long Vi archipelago of Hai Phong. The district has 50 islands, large and small, of which the largest is Co To island, about 50 km2 wide. The primeval forest here is preserved almost intact with hundreds of years old trees, tangled vines. Co To also owns 300 km2 of fishing grounds. The potential is that, but before 2010, the economy in Co To is almost underdeveloped due to limited infrastructure, especially the 3 shortages: lack of electricity, lack of fresh water and lack of ships to the island. Only over 50 nautical miles from Cai Rong and Van Don ports (more than 60 km), but in 2011, Co To was still very far away because only 2 wooden ships traveled for more than 3 hours to arrive. There is a lack of electricity on the island, especially fresh water in the dry season, so all services and tourism cannot be developed. Mr. Dao Van Vu, now Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Van Don district, who had more than 20 years of attachment to Co To, recalled the difficulties on the island: “There were times when I started from Cai Rong, but only 6 hours later to arrive. Because of the strong wind, the train had to go around to avoid the waves. When coming ashore, they must carry sandals, roll up their pants and wade ashore but do not have a wharf. The district has no grid electricity, the main source of electricity is 2 diesel-powered engines. One day only power supply until 20-21h is to be cut off. Because electricity is powered by generators, the cost is very high, 5,000-6,000 VND / kWh, homes using a lot of high stairs can reach 15,000-16,000 VND / kWh. Most houses only use electricity for lighting and fans for essential needs. The tourism industry is less developed due to difficult travel and modest accommodation conditions. There are almost no hotels in the whole district, mainly small motels. Even if guests want to use the air conditioner, they have to pay extra electricity with very expensive prices. There is only one old police force on the big island. Therefore, traveling and transporting passengers and goods is very difficult. In 2010, Co To welcomed less than 5,000 guests. By 2011-2012, although the engine was more equipped and had a larger capacity, the guests only reached about 30,000 visitors. Also because there is no electricity, the seafood caught on the sea is difficult to preserve, many fishermen have to sell directly at sea to the merchant boats from the mainland to buy at low prices, because bringing back to the island is also difficult to preserve. and there is no electricity for processing. In addition to lack of electricity, Co To also lacks fresh water. During the dry season, families have to divide each barrel of water. Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, former Secretary of Co To island district in the period of 2010-2015, recalled: “When I went to the island to take office as the island district’s secretary and president, I and the district leaders also struggled to find solutions to overcome the power shortage. lack of water, lack of boats for people on the island, but until 2011 it is only possible to start the construction of freshwater reservoirs, while pulling electricity is too far away, never can do it ”. With that same lake, Mr. Thanh used to sign a “military status order” with the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee: “In August 2011, just a few days after he took office as Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh made a visit. Unofficially went to Co To money island district. Myself and a comrade drove the new Secretary to visit the island on the only pickup truck borrowed from the district police. When he saw that we were building the Truong Xuan freshwater lake, he asked how long the project would take, I said it took 3 years because of lack of capital. Then the Secretary asked: If the province prioritizes to allocate capital, can you do it in 1 year, do it quickly but must ensure the quality? I confirmed that I could do it, the Secretary immediately asked to write the commitment, I made 2 copies, 1 copy sent to the Provincial Party Committee and one sent to the Provincial People’s Committee. After supplementing capital and mobilizing labor, mechanical equipment, we put the lake into operation on time as committed, still operating well, is the largest source of fresh water on the island ”. Regarding electricity, Mr. Thanh said, at that time he reported to the Secretary the optimal plan is to pull cables, but with difficulties in technology and capital; If we make coal-fired power, we cannot develop tourism because it will be polluted for the whole island. “At that time, the Secretary did not make any decisions, we did not know if we could pull the cable to the island, because there has never been such a long submarine cable project in Vietnam,” said Thanh. A few weeks after the new Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee’s visit to Co To, Mr. Thanh was summoned to attend a meeting of Quang Ninh leadership chaired by Pham Minh Chinh Provincial Party Secretary, where a decision made 5,000 people. Co To island district is very happy: Pulling electricity by underground cable to the island. Mr. Thanh said at that time, the head of the party committee of Quang Ninh province told him: “We try to bring electricity to the island, to build a reservoir to take care of water for the people, then the enterprise will invest in a modern fleet. connect the island to the shore “. So, the three difficult things of Co To have been solved. Technically, to pull the grid to the island is a big challenge as the longest underground cable distance is 25 km (between island and island). Technology to pull electrical cables under the seabed was very new and almost nonexistent in Vietnam. To bury the cable, the engineering unit must use a robot to cut the rock, dig the surface of the seabed to a depth of about 1.5-2 m, then the divers lower the cable to the newly dug slot, then place a solid material. special coating to protect the underground cable bundle. Many people are skeptical about the safety and feasibility of towing the cable under the sea. Another problem is the huge cost of capital to pull out electricity, up to more than 1,000 billion dong. In 2011, the budget for development investment of the whole Quang Ninh was only about 6,000 billion VND, not too much for such a large project. The Northern Power Company cannot afford to do a big project, while the immediate business efficiency is not high. “There were many difficulties, but the Secretary and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee at that time were determined to pull the power grid to the island. The difficulties in both finance and technology have been gradually removed with a drastic, urgent and detailed participation ”, recalled Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh. Project scale includes more than 27.5 km of 2-circuit 110 kV transmission line; 22 km of 22 kV overhead transmission line; 23 km of underground cable line; 8 cutting stations 22 kV; 12 substations and 34 km of low voltage transmission lines. The 100 kV line sections are wired by a hot air balloon, while the average depth of the seabed to lower the underground cable is 29 m. At that time, the leaders of Quang Ninh province had a valuable decision to include fiber-optic Internet in the bundle of electrical cables, so now Co To has both grid electricity and broadband optical fiber lines. The project’s estimate is about VND 1,100 billion, of which the Northern Power Corporation will contribute VND 350 billion. The remaining amount in Quang Ninh is about 830 billion, mobilized by socialization and the provincial budget. Many Quang Ninh people cannot forget a very exciting and meaningful campaign to contribute: Contribute to the people to pull electricity out to Co To. Each civil servant in the whole province contributes 1 day of his salary. The province also calls on people, businesses, social organizations, even people from Quang Ninh who are far away from their hometown to contribute. The remainder is taken from the provincial budget. After 350 days of construction, in October 2013, the project of pulling the grid to Co To by underground cable was completed before the overwhelming joy of the people of Co To and the whole province of Quang Ninh. Many old people on the island shed tears when they see the light from the national grid on the island. Young people radiant eyes look at computer screens, phones with high-speed Internet connection, merging with the global flow of information. Along with electricity, Truong Xuan lake with a capacity of 170,000 m2 together with Lake C4, Ong Thanh, Ong Cu … is a strategic source of fresh water for Co To island district. Thus, in just a few years, Co To had both electricity from the grid, fresh water, an unprecedented change in this front-end island. Every morning, Co To wharf is busy with dozens of tram cars waiting to welcome guests, see off guests, and carry goods from ships connecting to the mainland. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, owner of a 2-star hotel near the wharf, recalled that eight years ago, when Co To did not have electricity, he never dreamed that he could do it like today. After Co To got electricity, Hung finished building a small motel. The number of visitors to the island increased sharply this year and a half years ago, making his motel continuously expand. Anh Hung is now the owner of a 2-star hotel with nearly 60 rooms, a few more electric cars to pick up guests. Mr. Nguyen Toan, manager of Tuan Vu Hotel on Co To Island recalled in 2013, when the owners on the mainland poured hundreds of billions to build a 3-star hotel on the island, many relatives and friends were discouraged. and said “crazy”. Someone said Co To at that time was both difficult and difficult to come by. When we invested so much money, we knew when we could recover our capital. However, with the love of the sea and islands and seeing the potential for development, the owner is still determined with his plan. And the sweet fruit has come to the summer tourism season in 2014. The hotel is always in a full room with many large groups of guests. The investor initially expected 12-15 years to break even, but so far has been able to recover the capital in 8-9 years. Since the electricity came on, the number of visitors to Co To skyrocketed. From 35,000 turns in 2012, in 2019 (before the translation of Covid-19), Co To received nearly 300,000 visitors, nearly 10 times higher than before. When electricity is available, many people also have conditions to invest in accommodation, food, and services to provide tourists. On the contrary, as the service develops, more tourists come to Co To. Currently, traveling from the mainland to Co To is very convenient with many trains going and arriving during the day. There was even a 5-star standard train running the Cai Rong – Co To route which traveled less than 60 minutes, can be used in the wind situation of level 7, carrying 850 passengers / trip at the same time. On the island, there are 300 electric cars to serve tourists, nearly 200 accommodation establishments, nearly 2,500 rooms, 51 homestays … Up to now, Co To can welcome 10,000 tourists at the same time. Tourism revenue from 50 billion in 2013 to reach 700 billion in 2019. With electricity and water available, the processing industry also developed. People can invest in means, catch seafood and then return to deep processing on the spot to sell at high prices. The Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of District People’s Committee Co To Le Hung Son said that the most important thing when having electricity and water is to help improve people’s lives in all aspects, the economy can achieve important developments. The average income of Co To people reached 4,500 USD / year, higher than the national average of more than 1,000 USD. “Improving people’s lives and economic development is also a measure to maintain security and national defense in the country’s pre-emptive and anti-dumping islands,” said Mr. Son. Mr. Thanh said that the success of Co To today is a clear proof to see the vision and determination of the provincial leaders before. Mr. Le Hung Son said that in the future, Co To strives to become stronger, and welcomes 1.6 million visitors by 2030. The island will also focus on attracting large investors, bringing tourism to development. larger, with more premium products to increase the spending per visitor. She also wished that in the near future, she would be approved with the policy of building a small airport, serving tourism and national security, avoiding obstacles caused by weather and climate change. “Past generations of leaders have created a foundation for fundamental change in Co To island district. We want to continue to grow, making Co To become an indispensable destination for tourists ”, Mr. Son said.

Families should take the necessary safety measures to avoid unfortunate accidents to their children. According to the Westmead Children’s Hospital (CHW) in Australia, an average of 10 children are brought to CHW every year after falling from a balcony. Most of these children fall from their balconies, of which approximately 75% are under the age of five. Westmead Children’s Hospital provides care and treatment for 80,000 sick and injured children each year. This is the largest pediatric center in the state of New South Wales, Australia, with the capital city of Sydney; Child treatment in New South Wales, Australia and Pacific Rim countries. To protect children from unfortunate accidents from balconies, CHW has introduced balcony and railing safety recommendations. As defined by the CHW, a balcony is an area of a building that is positioned higher than the ground. If the balcony is at a height of 1m above the ground, it must be surrounded (barrier) by a railing. A balcony railing as a guard or barrier is usually made of iron or wooden slats. Glass panels are also commonly used. How can children be injured at the balcony? Young children may get their heads, arms or legs stuck in between the gaps in the railing. Young children may fall over the gap between the railing if the distance between them is too large. The slightly older kids may slip or stumble over the balcony doorway and fall to the balcony floor. Children can also fall off the balcony if they can climb over the balcony railing. For example, horizontal bars on a railing can allow a child to climb over the railing. Items such as potted plants or outdoor furniture placed next to the railing can also be used as ladders for children to climb. According to CHW statistics, an average of 10 children are brought to this hospital every year after falling from a balcony. Most of these children fall from their balconies. Of the children brought to the CHW, approximately 75% are under the age of five, 40% occur in the summer, and three out of every five cases that are taken to the hospital are boys. During the period 2008-2018, 88 children were taken to CHW for treatment due to a fall from the balcony. A large number of those injuries are rated serious. Fall injuries, even from low heights, can be serious; “40% of fatal falls, among children under 15 years old in Australia, are from a height of less than 3 feet (91.44cm). Corridor windows on each floor are also potentially unsafe if precautions are not taken. How to prevent accidents from the balcony? Australia’s National Building Act requires balcony balustrades to be at least 1m high if the balcony is more than 1m above the surface below. Any space in the handrail should not allow a circular object 12.5cm in diameter to pass through. Where balconies are located more than 4 meters above the lower surface, the barriers must not have horizontal sections or resemble horizontal (climbable) sections between 15cm and 76cm above floor. According to CHW, to ensure the safety of children, families need to ensure that their family’s balcony or railing is at least 1m high and the distance between vertical bars is not wider than 12.5cm. Balcony balustrades should not have cross bars or the like that can allow young children to climb. All furniture, potted plants and other climbable objects should be kept away from the edge of the balcony. Adults should also beware of furniture that is light enough that children can pull to the edge of the balcony; Check the balustrades regularly to make sure they are in good condition; Supervise children while they are on the balcony and can lock the balcony doors to keep them out. In Vietnam, nowadays, one of the most popular ways to keep children safe from unfortunate balconies is to install safety nets. Especially in high-rise apartments, areas such as corridors of each floor, balconies, windows are places with potential risks of unsafety. The balcony safety net is made up of three main parts: the cable, two aluminum bars and the screws. The stainless steel core cables and plastic shells will be woven into a specialized aluminum bar system that is tightly mounted on the ceiling and railing. The usual distance between two cables is 5cm. This distance is enough to prevent children and many objects from getting through. The cost of installing safety net ranges from 150,000 VND to 180,000 VND / 1m2, depending on the installation area and materials. Answering questions of people related to the installation of safety cable nets in apartments, the Ho Chi Minh City Fire Department said: “The installation and supplementation of protective cable nets at the department The building does not affect the fire safety conditions of the building, however, these protective cable nets must be easily dismantled in case the fire department is approached. to serve the rescue and rescue work in case of fire and explosion incidents “. The safety net has a fairly simple structure, the installation cost is not too high and provides great support in ensuring safety for families in apartments or high-rise buildings, especially families with young children. Families should take the necessary safety measures to avoid unfortunate accidents to their children.

On April 19, the Project Management Board of Northern Power Works (NPMB) cooperated with relevant units to accept and energize the 220kV Thuy Nguyen Transformer Station (Hai Phong).
This is the first digital transformer station invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), and is also the first 220kV digital transformer station in the country.

Thuy Nguyen 220kV substation (TBA) includes 2 transformers (MBA) 220/110 / 22kV – 250MVA, and in this phase, 1 transformer will be installed. The 220kV side uses the diagram of two busbar systems with a ring busbar with 12 compartments. In this stage, equipment is installed for 7 lanes. The 110kV side uses the diagram of two busbar systems with a ring busbar with 21 compartments. In this stage, equipment is installed for 13 lanes. The station has an area of about 40,100 m2 located in Dong Son commune and Kenh Giang commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city. This is a class I energy project of group B, with a total investment of more than 348 billion dong, invested by EVNNPT, the project is managed by NPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 1. Mr. Pham Le Phu, General Director of EVNNPT, said: Digital substations are not only new technology for Vietnam but also advanced countries. Before implementing the project, EVNNPT held many seminars with major equipment manufacturers in the world such as Siemens, ABB, and GE, but the number of 220kV substations was the same size as Thuy Nguyen 220kV substations using TBA technology. number is very few. Thuy Nguyen 220kV substation has the advantages of reducing copper cable by about 80%; reduce transportation, construction and installation of copper cables and reduce the area of cable trenches; reduce the installation space of control and protection devices. Thuy Nguyen 220kV substation will ensure power supply for additional loads and meet socio-economic development needs of Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city and surrounding areas, reduce power loss and strengthen connectivity. safe, stable and flexible in operating the power system.

The Nordost Odin 2 Tonearm + cable is composed of four 99.9999999% purity OFC copper cores, thick silver-plated exterior, then wrapped in a Dual Mono-Filament insulated suspension structure. This exclusive and innovative technology increases the signal transmission rate and reduces the surface contact ratio between the insulator and the conductor by up to 85%. Each core is protected by Nordost’s Total Signal Control (TSC) technology, which protects the signal inside the conductor from interference from interfering waves such as RFI and EFI.

Optimizing mass noise is a challenging problem in phono cable design. Nordost Odin 2 Tonearm Cable + solves this problem with 2 solutions. First, Nordost’s tonearm wire isolates the mass signal completely. When necessary, users can choose to mass-connect the chassis of the charcoal tray and the phono preamp to create a link with extremely low noise between the two devices. The second way, Odin 2 Tonearm Cable + uses 2 ground wire segments (detachable, equipped with 2 Dual Phono-Filament and TSC technologies) directly connected to the armor layer of the main tonearm wire, eliminating socks also interference in signal transmission. Similar to Nordost’s Supreme Reference cable line, Odin 2 Tonearm Cable + has a calculated length to minimize microphonic vibration noise. The company’s top tonearm wire uses HOLO: PLUG jacks with 4 options, straight DIN, 90-degree DIN, RCA and XLR. Odin 2 Tonearrm Cable + is manufactured by hand in the US, which is essential in making signal cables that require extreme precision. Cable Nordost Odin 2 Tonearm Cable + has a reference price of $ 12,999 / 1.2m and $ 15,999 / 2m.
