On the morning of June 10, the homepage of the European Football Federation (UEFA) announced to stop the proceedings against the three Super League co-founding clubs including Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona until further notice.

These teams will not suffer any penalties, and will still participate in the Champions League 2021/22 according to the position won in the domestic tournament. Previously, UEFA had filed a lawsuit with the Court in Switzerland, but the Ministry of Justice of this country stated that there was not enough basis to give a penalty to Real, Juve and Barca. The judges argued that UEFA was restricting creativity, eliminating competition and limiting audience choice. Ronaldo and his main lane teammates attend next season’s Champions League. UEFA still fines Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Tottenham, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid 5% of revenue in a season, respectively 15 million euros. In addition, these clubs will have to pay a fine of up to 100 million euros if they participate in an unauthorized tournament in the future. While the teams signed the pledge with UEFA, Real, Juve and Barca rejected all attempts to negotiate. President Florentino Perez affirmed that FIFA and UEFA do not have the right to issue any penalty. On the night of June 9 (Hanoi time), British media reported that Man United, Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool also had to pay a total of £22 million fine to the Premier League organizers for being in the Super founding group. League. This money is used to solve existing problems in the English Premier League, to support fans and the community, not to be divided among the remaining 14 clubs. If they continue to participate in another tournament that is not allowed by the Premier League organizers, the “Big Six” group must pay a fine of 25 million pounds and have 30 points deducted in the league. ‘Never forgive the guys behind the Super League’ After 6 English teams withdrew from the Super League, Sky Sports commentator Kaveh Solhekol continued to strongly criticize the owners behind the plan for this tournament.

Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG are the four clubs that reached the semi-finals of the Champions League this season. The European Football Federation (UEFA) is considering eliminating Real Madrid from the semi-final against Chelsea, and prohibiting the Bernabeu team and Juventus club from joining the European Cup next season. Notably, except for PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City all participated in the European Super League project that caused outrage around the world. However, Chelsea and Man City escaped UEFA’s sights by promptly withdrawing from the Super League. Meanwhile, as the leader of the Super League and not giving up on this project, Real Madrid and Juventus face a heavy penalty from UEFA. Real Madrid is the richest club in the history of the Champions League with 13 championships. The UEFA leaders are said to want to impose a similar ban on Juventus. The fate of these two clubs is expected to be determined during UEFA’s extraordinary meeting today (international time). Under his authority, UEFA can fully impose this penalty but there is a split between the UEFA heads of this. Some leaders want a dialogue with Real Madrid and Juventus. They are willing to forgive these two clubs if they know “turn to the shore”. Speaking on Wednesday (April 21), UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin revealed that there is a small chance that the Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Chelsea in the middle of next week will not go as expected as UEFA is weighing reminded the penalty to eliminate Real Madrid from the tournament. UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin. Super League met with opposition and indignation from around the world with many protests from fans. In the face of great pressure, the Big Six Premier League team could not stand the heat and pulled out of the project and apologized. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez and Juventus president, Andrea Agnelli, as the leaders of the Super League, have still declared that this tournament is not dead. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin told TV channel Slovania 24UR, “It is important that the season has begun. Broadcasters will charge us for damages if we don’t hold a Champions League semi-final. So there’s a pretty low chance that the semifinals won’t take place next week. He wants a president to obey whatever he says, who will listen to him and do whatever he wants. I do what I think is the best for European football and the world.

In the worst case scenario, the organization leading European football will ban both Real and Juve from the Champions League in the 2021/22 season. The final decision will be announced after the meeting ends. Real can win the La Liga title, but cannot get a Champions League ticket next season. Photo: Getty. While other teams have withdrawn from the plan to organize the Super League, Real and Juve still show their stubborn attitude, despite being allowed by UEFA to correct their mistakes. On the morning of April 22 (Hanoi time), President Flornetino Perez also confirmed that the Super League will not collapse, but only pause. “If you think the Super League has collapsed, you are mistaken. The plan is only suspended. 12 clubs cannot be changed by their own accord, because we have signed a contract before. I am not afraid of UEFA, nor are I afraid. FIFA “, journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted President Florentino Perez ‘remarks. Man Utd is also one of the teams that initiated the Super League project. Joel Glazer, owner of the Manchester football team, was also elected vice president of the tournament. However, “Red Devils” and 5 major Premier League clubs changed their minds and withdrew from the Super League on April 28. “After all the Super League has done, can we talk about the new Champions League format? With so many more matches, does anyone think of us players? The new format of the Champions League is as bad as Super League ”- Ilkay Gundogan shared on his personal page.

The Man City star added: “The current format of the Champions League is working great. That is why it has become the most exciting club-level tournament in the world, for our players and for our fans. Gundogan thinks the new form of the Champions League is just as bad as the Super League. (Photo: Daily Mail) The new Champions League format will be applied from the 2024/2025 season. The number of teams participating in the tournament will increase from 32 to 36 and the group stage will change completely. There is no longer the division of 8 groups of 4 teams competing for 16 tickets to the knockout round, instead 36 teams will play in the group stage as a league. However, each team will only play 10 matches with 10 different opponents (5 home matches – 5 away matches) instead of playing against all competitors like in league format in the league. The top 8 teams after the group stage will go straight to the knockout round. The teams ranked from 9 to 24 will compete for the play-off in the second leg format to compete for tickets to the next round. Since the knockout round, the new Champions League format remains the same. However, increasing the number of teams and changing the format of the group stage will result in 100 more matches per season. The new format of the Champions League is considered confusing. Real Madrid president and Super League President Florentino Perez bluntly stated: “UEFA has built a new form of play, I cannot understand it and it is not generating enough income. .. We created the Super League to save football ”. Just a day after Florentino Perez made his powerful statement, Ilkay Gundogan’s Man City was the first team to leave the Super League and apologized to the fans. In the middle of next week, The Citizens will face PSG in the semifinals of the Champions League this season./.

The group of 12 founding clubs of the Super League announced that they have agreed and are ready to carry out a super project to break the European football structure. Before this information, there have been countless fierce reactions from experts and former players.
The introduction of the Super League will directly affect the survival of the Champions League, as well as a series of other domestic cup tournaments because of its size. Up to now, the media has said that 12 clubs have agreed to join the Super League founding group, and are waiting for 3 more names for the 15 group.

The Super League was the slap on UEFA’s Champions League restructuring project on 36 teams. The most powerful football agency in Europe affirmed it would do everything to prevent this “rude project”. Old continental football heads are also believed to be furious at the advent of the Super League. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is also part of the opposition, saying the Super League will “harm football” and is asking sports leaders to step in. The European Clubs Association (ECA) requested an emergency meeting over the weekend for the project, but none of the Super League founding groups attended. The participants were in fact only Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar and representatives of Bayern and PSG. Not stopping there, representatives of the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga all oppose this plan. England participated in the Super League the most when the Big 6 including MU, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham were all said to have agreed. Knowing this information, Gary Neville indignantly: “Everything is bullshit. I have been a MU fan for 40 years but I feel disgusting. I am most disgusted with MU and Liverpool. Gary Neville Liverpool, they are always proud of the slogan “You will never have to go alone”, which is the national team, the fan club. MU is a team with a history of 100 years from workers, but are they planning to give everything to an unbeatable tournament where they are not relegated? It’s a shame and we have to take back our power from the top clubs in this country, including mine. This is purely greed, they (the bosses) are club imposters. They have nothing to do with the football of this country. The fan community here is 100 years old, who live, love football and the club wholeheartedly. They need protection. I make a lot of money from football, I make a lot of money from football, I invest money in a football club. I am not against economic employment from football. But there need to be fair rules for a tournament, the right for a team like Leicester to win the league and go to the Champions League. MU is not even attending the Champions League. So are Arsenal and Tottenham. But do they want the privilege of taking part in top tournaments? A pathetic satire. Enough is enough, this greed needs to end. My responses are not based solely on feelings. I am very honest. Subtract 6 clubs from tomorrow, push them to the bottom of the chart and cut all their money. It takes strong action “. Agreeing with the old game, Sir Alex Ferguson responded: “Super League pulls back the 70-year history of European club football. As a player of Dunfermline provincial football in the 1960s and fourths. The way the Aberdeen manager won the European Cup Winners’ Cup, I understood that a team in Scotland attending the European Cup was like climbing Everest. Everton spent £ 500 million to build a new stadium with ambitions to attend the Champions League. Fans around the world love this tournament. When I was at MU, we reached the finals four times and those were always special nights. I am not sure if MU will participate in the Super League, but I am not part of the decision making.

Real Madrid players rejoice when the home team enters the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The bright performance of “Vulture” not only made the home audience happy, but also the team accountant … laughed.

The fact that the Spanish Royal team reached the semifinals of the Champions League – a result that many people were amazed at after a bad start – could now make them more than 100 million euros in league revenue.

Los Blancos’ group stage has “pocketed” 56.2 million euros and they can make an additional 40 million euros from challenging TV copyright and other commercial contracts.

Real Madrid will also “collect” a lot of money thanks to being the only Spanish representative left in the Champions League – but the specific number will not be revealed until the coronation team is determined.

The leader of the Royal team can “sleep well” because the money earned from the continent’s No. 1 tournament at the club level, will compensate for the loss from the inability to sell tickets to the field.

Including the upcoming Chelsea reception, this season Real Madrid played 6 Alfredo Di Stefano home games in the Champions League without earning any coins from ticket sales.

If teachers and students Zinedine Zidane reach the final of the tournament, they will earn an additional 15 million euros and the figure will be 19 million euros if they win the championship.

Also note that, in 2019, Barcelona made 117 million euros, albeit only reaching the semi-finals.

Bayern Munich team crowned in 2020, earning € 83 million – a decrease due to playing fewer games in the context of COVID-19.

President Khaldoon Al Mubarak told Sky Sports if he did not persistently pursue Pep Guardiola’s well-built football philosophy, Man City would not be today. After 4 years of waiting, finally, Man City reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with Pep.
No more foolishness

In the second leg last morning, when Bellingham scored the opener at Signal Iduna Park, Man City fans began to think about bad things. They are used to the image of a foolish Pep Guardiola, whenever they go to Europe, they will be afraid. Man City had never reached the semifinals of the Champions League before this season under Pep and last season was the culmination of disappointment when they lost to Lyon, even though a week ago knocked out Real Madrid. “How to make Pep grow up” – Marca newspaper once headlined the front page to describe a serious illness called Champions League Pep.

But this time is a completely different chapter, the outfit Pep has been researching to put on himself to combat the errors he has encountered over time. Man City calmly implemented the familiar gameplay, had an equalizer at the beginning of the second half and the most sensitive time – when the game entered the last 15 minutes – launched a rebound of the trade code that ended all Dortmund’s last hope .

Man City was close to death because the score 1-0 was just enough with the away goal but in the end, they reversed the game, pushing Dortmund into the position to score 3 more goals in 15 minutes to get a ticket to continue. . In the context of the Champions League quarter-finals at least, in front of an opponent who only needed to hold the ball 38% but still had 10 shots, Man City was really mature. They did not fall into the opponent’s trap, and the trap created by invisible pressure itself.

In a video published online, Pep once told Man City players “Look at PSG and learn. It took them 7 years in a row to fail the quarterfinals, but once they crossed the threshold, they immediately appeared in the final. You need to look into that spirit ”. Pep also shared with beIN Sport that Bellingham’s goal was a reagent for the team’s morale, a test of courage Man City needed to go through if he wanted to grow up. Man City of Pep, perhaps, is no longer naive.

Coach Pep and Man City players celebrate.

The results of endurance

After nearly 5 years, Pep spent exactly 872 million pounds for 36 big and small contracts. That means, on average, every season, Pep spends 174 million pounds. In these 36 recruits, there are 3 defenders with a great value of 60 million pounds or more and, by extension, all 10 faces are bought by Pep with a starting price of 50 million pounds.

The problem lies here: Pep has spent a lot of money, but the boss provides money for Pep that is important. More importantly: What did Pep do to persuade the leaders to pay their bills? That is what is worth mentioning. Pep is not the highest-paid coach, nor does he work for the richest team in the world and Pep’s owner is not the richest man in the world.

That is the difference of Pep, and also the strongest point of his and the team of consultants behind. Remember, Pep’s new 2-year contract was negotiated and signed at a time when Man City was in crisis. Pep lost to Mourinho 0-2 in the match they were completely pocketed by Tottenham and soon after, was the news of the extension.

The Amazon series exclusively filmed the behind-the-scenes stories of Man City with one strong detail: Pep, when signing a contract, is always interested in the element of “choosing the right project”. He needs owners who absolutely believe in him, ready to dive into the game like a bastard. Pep may not be successful in the European playground, but in the Premier League, they are an absolute force. After a season being usurped by Liverpool, Man City immediately returned, recreating inviolable power. At the very least, Pep proves that the clubs he leads tend to persevere and the Champions League, sometimes, is just a matter of the consequences of time.

Champions League 2020/21 may open a new era for Man City and personally Pep Guardiola. A title is enough for Pep to become a true legend of contemporary football, a true all-round legend: Still able to win the Champions League with superman in the squad (Messi), but capable of conquering. Europe as a team was built methodically, class passed through many periods. The result today is a product of a relationship built on the trust foundation of Pep and the Arab owner in Eithad.

13. The final victory of Man City (4-2) was the 13th in the history of the Champions League, the team that won 2-1 at home in the knockout round won the ticket. In contrast, there were 15 homeowners who were disqualified when they won this score in the first leg.

Pep’s Man City in the Champions League

Season 2016/17: Eliminated in the 1/8 round (lost to Monaco because of the away goals law, 6-6 total)

Season 2017/18: Quarterfinals eliminated (lost to Liverpool, total score 1-5)

Season 2018/19: Eliminated in the quarterfinals (lost to Tottenham because of away goals, total score of 4-4)

Season 2019/20: Quarterfinals eliminated (lost to Lyon, total score 1-3)

If PSG wins the Champions League 2020/21, the future of top stars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland will have significant changes.

Haaland, Kane, Mbappe and Messi (from left).

After PSG defeated defending defending champions Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2020/21, superstar Neymar announced he would stay and extend his contract with the French team. This move shows the Brazilian has confidence in PSG’s European dominance for many years to come.

But not only Neymar, but Mbappe may also agree to stay in the Prince’s Park if PSG wins the championship. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi announced that both Neymar and Mbappe would remain in the French capital.

And if his statement comes true, it will cause a massive backlash across Europe. Mbappe is one of the hottest transfer targets in Europe alongside Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Both are pursued by top clubs like Real Madrid, Man United and Man City. If Mbappe signs a new contract with PSG, these teams will have to focus on competing for Haaland.

Then the price of the Norwegian striker will increase much more than the £ 150 million offer price that Dortmund are offering. MU and Man City are likely to not be able to afford it and only Real is able to recruit.

The two Manchester teams will have to turn to Tottenham striker Harry Kane. However, Rooster would not want to sell him to a Premier League opponent. They are currently shouting for Kane up to £ 175 million for clubs outside of England.

One of the football teams mentioned is Barcelona. The Catalan team also pursued both Mbappe and Haaland. But if the other two players have a decision about the future, the Blaugrana can turn to Kane.

Barca needs a new superstar in attack because captain Lionel Messi wants to leave this summer. The Argentine superstar was hoping for a reunion with Neymar and with the Brazilian staying at PSG he could join the French team.

From Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, Real Madrid sent a message to the rest. Meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane also sent a warning to the office of President Florentino Perez.

On April 10, Real Madrid defeated Barca in a super classic match. It was also the match that Zidane had to use a series of “B class” players such as Alvaro Odriozola, Isco, Marcelo, Eder Militao.

Answering the reporters, the French legend could not hide his anxiety. He is afraid the home team “runs out of battery”. After the super classic match, Real Madrid had to move to Merseyside to meet Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Champions League second leg.

Distracted Zidane?

Zidane’s real suffered many physical and mental losses from the beginning of the season. A ruthless storm of trauma swept the headquarters of the club, causing the team to lose people consecutively.

“Los Blancos” shuffled it. Each time, Zidane received criticism. He was also questioned by President Perez after a bad start in the Champions League group stage.

Amidst the storm, the fate “Zizou” is still saved. Stars like Karim Benzema, Luka Modric or Toni Kroos … have “loaded” all the best qualities to pull the teacher out of the quagmire.

However, that also does not help the French legend get rid of skepticism. At one point, everything seemed to shut down for Zidane. He had to “hide” in the dressing room.

The relationship between the French rulers and President Perez is said to be no longer salty. That partly comes from the controversy related to central defender Sergio Ramos.

Zidane is helping Real Madrid play well in the 2020/21 season. Photo: Getty.

The Real Madrid star informed Zidane that he had to undergo surgery and needed 6-8 weeks of rest. The French strategist is said to have not communicated with the club.

The move of “Zizou” further divided his relationship with other high-ranking figures. At that time, everyone said that the former “Les Bleus” player was very passionate about the team.

Immediately, a warning bell about Zidane’s future rang out in the Bernabeu courtyard. The French legend still has a contract with the club until June 2022, but that does not guarantee anything.

During his first term at Real Madrid, “Zizou” left the club before the binding effect ended. That was 2018, not long after the Champions League final.

Zidane and President Perez once existed a close relationship, but there was a time when the most powerful man representing Madrid “fell in love” with captain of the team.

President Perez is even said to probe the situation of coaches like Max Allegri, Antonio Conte, Julian Nagelsmann and Joachim Loew … If Real Madrid slips, a ruthless decision could be made by the club’s super-head. given.

Zidane understands that. In recent days, thoughts in this ruler have started to shake. After winning Liverpool in the quarterfinals of the first leg of the Champions League, the French legend said: “Back to leading Juventus? That place is still important to me.

But now I’m coaching the best football team in the world and I feel lucky. ”

Zidane always has plans B. In January, before the match against Celta Vigo, former Juventus star said: “You can sign a 10-year contract here (Real Madrid – PV), but tomorrow you can leave completely. On the contrary, you can sign a year and stay for a long time.

El Confidencial for that “Zizou” mind began to flutter. The 48-year-old strategist no longer holds a firm stance. Specifically, Zidane is looking for another opportunity if the club no longer needs him.

It is not easy for Real Madrid to find a “copy” of Zidane on the coaching chair. Photo: Getty.

The value of Zidane

At Real Madrid, cruelty is everywhere. The world doesn’t stop for one person either. Zidane is very good, but not bigger than the team. Outside of President Perez’s office, many candidates were willing to wait for the opportunity.

Zidane is unique. On ESPN, journalist Mark Ogden once described the excitement of “Zizou” in that he knows how to solve problems. On the field, the French captain always finds the formula to win.

The French strategist has done that. From Madrid to Anfield, Zidane’s Real Madrid subdued Liverpool and Barca, respectively. “Los Blancos” did that even when Cristiano Ronaldo left the club, famous midfield pair Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane were sidelined for different reasons.

Zidane also has a close relationship and is in regular contact with Kylian Mbappe, the target of President Perez. El Confidencial revealed “Zizou” persuaded his compatriot striker to go to Madrid, and Mbappe fell in love.

Recently, France Football said Mbappe refused to renew his contract with PSG. He wants to wear a Real Madrid shirt “at request from Zidane”. Kylian Mbappe even refused 3 offers to extend the contract that the Parc des Princes team made.

If Mbappe goes to Real Madrid, it is because he wants to work with Zidane. A few days ago, President Perez was re-elected and will run the club until 2025. The most powerful man in the team will have many projects to do.

The Madrid representative’s plan could be broken if Zidane is no longer there. Up to now, the French legend has not yet confirmed whether he will continue to stick or break up with “Los Blancos”. This worries President Perez.

On the morning of April 15, Zidane put on a patchwork, if not the worst, squad to face Liverpool at Anfield. At the end of the match, the representative of Madrid completed the goal when they won a 0-0 draw, the score was enough to help the club reach the semi-finals.

Zidane humbly celebrates, and that is also a message to President Perez. Even without a really powerful squad, Real Madrid still advanced in the Champions League and was part of the race to win the La Liga championship.

If President Perez handed Mbappe striker Mbappe to Zidane, Real Madrid would have created even more interesting things. For the most powerful man in the team, “Zizou” is the club’s priceless treasure. Keeping this military leader, the team is also close to owning Mbappe.

Casemiro is the best Real match against Liverpool The Brazilian defensive midfielder possesses impressive statistics on the day Zinedine Zidane’s team eliminated Liverpool from the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Coach Zidane never considered himself a good coach and he did not have a branding philosophy of football, but what Zizou is doing makes the world admire.

Real Madrid played brocade in the quarterfinals of the first leg and won 3-1 against Liverpool, but in the 90 minutes at Anfiled, “White Vulture” turned into another team. They play stubborn football, bravery and “kill emotions” of the audience.

Coach Zidane and his students were withdrawn, accepted to play the lower door, forcing Liverpool to hold the ball, but did not give the opponent space to attack. At times, the defenders of Los Blancos still have loopholes, but it is important that Liverpool strikers do not know how to take advantage of the opportunity.

Real Madrid’s reserves have played very well in two matches against Liverpool (Image: Getty).

If the first leg Real Madrid launched 16 shots and had 3 goals, in the match this morning, Los Blancos only 6 shots on goal, 9 shots behind Liverpool. Fans can clearly see the switching roles of the two clubs after two games, but only Real Madrid can make the difference and that difference lies in the 90 minutes of the first leg.

Many people may criticize Coach Zidane for his boring pragmatic style in Anfiled, but Zizou cannot do anything about it. With 53 injuries this season, coach Zidane cannot operate the Real Madrid machine without calculating.

In the second leg against Liverpool, Real Madrid was without Ramos, Varane and Vazquez three main players. Therefore, the French strategist must use Nacho, Militao and Federico Valverde in defense.

If Nacho and Militao are playing properly, for Federico Valverde it is Zizou’s gamble. And in this gamble, coach Zidane won, even a big victory, because the Uruguayan “reluctant defender” not only paralyzed Liverpool’s left wing, but also a permanent danger thanks to speed and foundation. his abundant physical strength.

Federico Valverde played very well against Liverpool when he was placed at right-back (Image: Getty).

Federico Valverde has 3 dribbles, 3 tackles and 1 successful aerial combat, overwhelming Liverpool’s right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has a dribbling index of 0, zero combat and tackling. 2.

The overwhelming dominance of Federico Valverde – the reluctant right-back compared to Trent Alexander-Arnold shows the talent of coach Zidane in using personnel as described by Barney Ronay (The Guardian) is to know how to combine have great personality and are always consistent with his goals in each game.

Federico Valverde was the halftime score, but was voted the best player by Whoscore. Looking at what Federico Valverde shows, this player is definitely the “knife in the sleeve” of coach Zidane. Before that, in the match of El Clasico, the 1998 midfielder was the key to helping the “White Vulture” toppled Barca to climb to second place on the La Liga rankings after 30 rounds.

Real Madrid marched to Anfield with a patchwork formation, the players were also exhausted after the great battle with Barca, but thanks to the talent and supernatural mind of coach Zidane, Real Madrid has surpassed the death schedule. in the smoothest lightest way.

Coach Zidane knows how to match his opponent and has a reasonable match to finish the opponent (Image: Getty).

Coach Zidane never identified himself as a good coach even though he was a record player in the Champions League playground. The French military leader did not build a football philosophy that pleased fans like coach Pep Guardiola, nor did he feel bored with the solid rock in the style of coach Diego Simone, the beauty of Zidane was to know. make use of and promote available resources.

Coach Zidane does not have a “card”, but still makes opponents admire because he knows how to apply proficiently and flexibly many different matches in different battles or from time to time in a match. Zidane’s fighting skills in the language of martial arts is to reach the realm of “no way to win with a right move”.

From a side devastated by injury and almost eliminated in the group stage, but Zidane’s Real Madrid is back strong at the moment of its importance. Zizou helps Real Madrid compete for the championship in La Liga 2020/2021 and has reached the 30th European Cup / Champions League semi-finals, an achievement that no other team can match.

Compared to the four semi-final teams, Real Madrid’s squad is more fragile. Los Blancos is also not as appreciated as PSG, Man City in the race to the championship, but it would be a mistake to underestimate the capacity of the “White Vulture”, because it is no coincidence that Zidane and Real Madrid are is the king of this playground./.

The change of Pep Guardiola and Man City at the most important moment has finally produced a sweet result in the Champions League.

After five years since arriving at Etihad with a mission to elevate the team, Pep Guardiola finally succeeded in bringing Man City into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

In the most important moments, Pep chose to think less, trust more and finally reap sweet results.

Pep’s change

Pep Guardiola is too famous for his different changes in the decisive battles in the Champions League and that brought Man City into the picture.

Last season, he put two creative midfielders Bernardo Silva, David Sila on the bench and used three players to recover the ball Fernandinho – Rodri – Ilkay Guendogan in the match against Lyon, causing Man City to suddenly play a lack of creativity. , from there it failed.

Last season, he believed to use Guendogan instead of Kevin De Bruyne in the first leg against Tottenham, making Man City unable to pressure enough to score, and lost 0-1.

This has been repeated in previous seasons as well as leading Bayern Munich, leading many to believe that Pep did not have enough stability and iron at the crucial moment to win the Champions League. The journalists who closely followed Pep believed he “thought too much” and always put himself in a difficult position.

Phil Foden (right) shines through to get Man City through Dortmund. Photo: Reuters.

This season, the story is no longer like that. Before Dortmund in the second leg, Pep’s Man City replaced only one person for 90 minutes, although there was no shortage of famous stars on the bench. “The Citizens” is loyal to the 4-3-3 diagram with the formula Kevin De Bruyne kicks a virtual number 9 for 90 minutes.

The only change came in the 88th minute when Raheem Sterling replaced Riyad Mahrez. Man City does not change the game at all. Pep pulled out only one link and replaced the same one.

Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus, Ferran Torres or Fernandinho, the elements Pep uses frequently this season, have been on the bench for the full 90 minutes. The Spaniard didn’t want to take the risk.

The results were so sweet for Man City. They prevailed on the scoreboard, completely won the game position and opportunities. Pep’s army controlled the ball more (61%), shot 17 times, 2 of which hit the wooden frame, 5 went on target. Dortmund only hit the target 3 times. 9 out of 11 main Manchester City players have made at least 1 finish.

Man City players double their opponents (14 vs. 7), win the dispute too (13 vs. 6), in short play on the feet of representatives from Germany, despite being ahead.

In the most important moment of the season, Pep chose to think less. He trusted his choices more. Phil Foden, in the biggest game of his Champions League career, has scored. Riyad Mahrez also repaid his teacher with a precise penalty kick.

The factors that are rich in potential but also rich in consequences like Sterling and Cancelo are given few opportunities to show by Pep. For the first time in 5 years leading Man City, Pep has been so perfectionist in the selection of personnel.

“It is not Pep’s team anymore. It is all thanks to the players. Their abilities are too good. It is they that make a difference,” Pep stressed with Sky Italy after the match.

Before Dortmund, Pep chose to believe in his students’ abilities, instead of arranging soulless characters on the tactical table. That big change has paid off.

Man City now has a collective meaning. Photo: Reuters.

Number one candidate Man City

Oddschecker Considering Man City the number one candidate for the Champions League championship among the four semi-final teams. Common odds assigned to Pep Guardiola’s team are 5/4 (place 4 to 5). PSG was awarded to 10/3, with Real Madrid 4/1. Chelsea is rated the lowest with 9/2.

Pep’s change in the steering chair, uniform quality of personnel and consensus are the reasons why Manchester’s green half is expected to lift the Champions League silver cup for the first time.

Guardian revealed in the dressing room of the Etihad Stadium, Pep posted two large slogans that read “Together” (“We fight til the end”) and pictures of Man City. reap past glory.

When Foden hit Dortmund, increasing the score to 2-1 for Man City, Man City’s 2000-born star ran straight to his teacher.

Guardian describes the situation as follows: “Foden’s flying run to embrace Pep quickly became the most emotional act of the Man City team. The meaning of the ‘Together’ or ‘Fight’ banners to the last minute ‘becomes much clearer than its cliché slogan’.

Many people who pay little attention may not believe this: This is the first time, the Man City scorer has come to celebrate with Pep for 4 years. League.

48 goals were shot by the Man City players against the opponent’s net, but no time did the founder come and share the joy with the teacher. Most celebrate alone, or celebrate in front of the reporter camera.

Even in the victory that is considered to be surpassing Real Madrid in the 2019/20 season, this seemingly normal thing does not happen. Phil Foden, the 49th scorer for City in the Champions League knockout round under Pep, made that simple. And Man City in the semi-finals.

When the whistle ended the match, for the first time in a half-decade relationship with Man City, the cameras caught Pep smiling contentedly as a Champions League quarter-final match ended. There are no disappointing hugs like before Tottenham, helpless hips against Lyon, or head bowed to Liverpool, Pep’s Man City overcame those failed ghosts to enter the top four most powerful teams Europe.

Pep once admitted his way to lead Man City will be considered “failure” (failure) if he does not win the Champions League. Now Pep has the perfect opportunity to change his own destiny and Man City.

Dortmund’s starting line-up (left) and Man City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2020/21 second leg.

‘Man City is a bit afraid of losing’ Gundogan admits Guardiola’s team had a psychological problem in the 2-1 win over Dortmund in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals 2020/21.

Porto and Bayern couldn’t get back in the way, so what about Dortmund and Liverpool? Opportunities are not much, but we all always know that, in football, anything can happen.

Chelsea advanced to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in seven years, despite a 1–0 defeat in the second leg. Surprisingly, in Tuesday night’s game, Thomas Tuchel’s side failed to score and Porto did just that. In theory, the Blues’ expected goal tcoring (xG) is 1.1 and Porto’s is 0.6.

The same happened during PSG’s match against Bayern at the Parc des Princes. The home side played better, creating an expected 2.1 goals that did not once put the ball into the net, eventually receiving a 1–0 defeat to Bayern with only 1.3 goalscoring ability.

Fortunately for PSG, they have built a very good foundation from the first leg with a capital of three away goals. It was also a strange result, because in reality, Bayern were the better team that day. Hansi Flick’s pupils made 31 tackles and an expected goal t3.6, while PSG were much lower, just 1.3.

Bayern were eliminated after making 45 shots in two legs against PSG

These figures show that the Champions League is really attractive, fierce and extremely unpredictable. The team that played better, created more chances is unlikely to have won, and the winner is unlikely to be the team to go on. The result depends on quite a few factors and luck is an important factor. But above all, don’t lose in the first leg.

This seems bad news for Liverpool and Dortmund, who are plotting a comeback. Especially when they played very disappointingly in the first leg. Liverpool had an expected 0.83 goals in a 1–3 defeat to Real, while Dortmund were 0.97 in a 1–2 loss to Man City. According to analysis from the Euro Club Index, the yellow-and-black team has only a 13% chance of going on. Liverpool are slightly higher at 15%.

History of course doesn’t stand for under-weakers. In 13 defeats in the first leg of the knock-out rounds in European competition, Liverpool were eliminated up to 11 times. Similarly to Dortmund, they were eliminated from the Champions League 6/7 times in the first leg.

According to analysis from the Euro Club Index, Liverpool have a 15% chance of going on

Sometimes the feat occurs, as in the 2018/19 season Liverpool won 4–0 against Barca to reverse the previous 0–3 loss. But you know, if it happened often people didn’t call it a feat.

Not everything against Dortmund and Liverpool, though. Unlike Bayern and Porto, they played the second leg at home, and at home indeed, Signal Iduna Park with Anfield, rather than on the ground.

In addition, the task of both is also simpler with 1 goal achieved away. This is a huge advantage. Of those who won 2–1 in the first leg of the Champions League at home, the number of teams eliminated (15) was more than the next (12). And Real, who have played in the European Cup 10 times, led 3-1 at home, but were eliminated four times.

Liverpool on a legendary night out against Barca in 2019

So anything can happen. But quite certainly, Liverpool and Dortmund were forced to be better than themselves a week ago. They don’t need to create a lot of chances often, but when it comes, even with a very small table-to-table ability, they have to immediately turn them into goals.

Finally, you know, Champions League success has to do with luck. Liverpool, like Dortmund, should hope it is on their side so that everything they do is correct. As in 2019 at Anfield, Georginio Wijnaldum coming on as a substitute for Andrew Robertson was perhaps the best decision Juergen Klopp had ever made, with Divock Origi suddenly making a hero and telling him from God that Alexander-Arnold launched an unprecedentedly daring corner kick.

A crazy result can only be made up of moments of madness, and every number is always for reference only.

Overcoming defending champions Bayern, PSG showed their tremendous progress. And more than ever, the Team of Paris is ready to make the dream come true.

After neymar’s two consecutive wooden-frame strikes were Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s goal- goal, and Kylian Mbappe’s goal was denied while Bayern continued their relentless attack, all elist of PSG’s downwork.

Too many times they hold the advantage before losing it. Too many times holding the gold to let the gold fall. After all, from a dream, the Champions League becomes an obsession. Or a curse.

However, on Wednesday morning (14-4) in the Parc des Princes, PSG fought to keep the smile. Mauricio Pochettino’s men did not watch Bayern attack. They still play as they always do, with endless inspiration from Neymar, angel Di Maria’s magic and Mbappe’s wind-tearing legs. In terms of the number of clear chances, PSG created more than their opponents.

The expected 2.1 goals (Bayern’s 1.3) speaks for it. But on a strange day, all their efforts could not be converted into goals. Sometimes there are missed situations, such as Neymar’s inastible approach to Di Maria’s pass from just 2m in front of the vacant goalkeeper that astonished the Bayern players as well.

Too black at the top, but at the bottom, PSG remained firmly in defence of the result from the first leg. Presnel Kimpembe and Idrissa Gueye tackled, intercepted, tackled to create a wall in front of goal Keylor Navas, the 35-year-old goalkeeper will make superb tackles in case the other two are overtaken.

Pochettino is not Mourinho, it’s never Mourinho. But his PSG can boast a performance in defence, despite a 40th-minute goal, against the Champions League champions. The players were always in the right position that the Argentine coach asked for, then completed the huge workload he set out. Above all, they perform in concentration and composure.

During his three months in charge of PSG, Pochettino has always spoken of his composure, the missing qualities that make this team often fail in the Champions League even when ahead of their opponents. Now Les Parisiens is comfortable dealing with the pressure and making informed decisions. As at the Parc des Princes, there was no sign of panic over the tackles or the constant stuffing of the ball into the red-shirted players’ penalty area. They kept their heads cold to digestion, then moved the ball forward to conduct a counterattack.

In August last year in Lisbon, fans were heartbroken by the image of Neymar in the technical area, his hands holding his head and crying. In the 2019/20 Champions League final, the Brazilian superstar missed a good chance and PSG paid the price.

Now, Neymar is holding his head again and crying. But there are no setbacks or missed opportunities. Those were tears of happiness, after the sweet revenge opened the door to the desirable Champions League title. Neymar dreamed of it leaving Barca to join PSG, and PSG have been dreaming about it for a decade.

‘Sometimes we pretend that winning the European Championship isn’t a goal that takes up all the thought, but it always shows. And this is the time to make it come true,” said the previous year’s saying by Sporting Director Leonardo that could be used again at the moment.

Beating defending champions Bayern is an affirmation of PSG’s progress. They are back, with intact desire but better. And calmer to never fall again.
