A Greenpeace campaign in which 100 stolen VW keys were brought to the Zugspitze has legal consequences: the Volkswagen Group has filed a criminal complaint against the environmental protection organization. Around a month after the Greenpeace campaign against Volkswagen in the port of Emden, the car manufacturer took action and filed a criminal complaint against Greenpeace. “We do not tolerate any violations of the law”said a VW spokeswoman in Emden. However, she emphasized that VW was still interested in a dialogue with the environmental protection organization. The criminal complaint suggests a change of heart among the Wolfsburgers: Initially, they reacted surprisingly moderately to the Greenpeace campaign at the end of May and initially waived a criminal complaint.

First of all, understanding and loose tweets

In order to protest against what they considered to be the slow change to electromobility at VW, the activists climbed over a fence onto a loading area in the port of Emden and removed the ignition keys from unlocked cars that were ready for shipping overseas. Shortly afterwards, the organization brought the keys to a glacier on the Zugspitze in Bavaria. There she was supposed to pick up VW boss Herbert Diess after her introduction.

Instead of directly filing a criminal complaint, Diess replied loosely on Twitter: “Gladly Zugspitze, but today I can’t manage anymore – I don’t want to use the plane. Coming soon in good weather?” And VW brand boss Ralf Brandstätter expressed understanding in a detailed comment on the action on his LinkedIn profile that “change is not going fast enough for many”.

Theft as part of the climate debate culture?

The Chinese woman who caused the trouble at the Tesla booth in April sued the American automaker and demanded compensation. The incident involved a Tesla Model 3 that crashed in February.
The controversy between customers Zhang Yazhou and Tesla in the Chinese market has not come to an end when recently, she formally filed a lawsuit against Tesla and the person in charge of business operations of the American electric car company. Information about this move is Global Times posted on the official Twitter page.

Zhang Yazhou made a riot at the Tesla booth in April and shouted that “Tesla broke the brake”. Photo: Global Times. According to the The Beijing News Yazhou requested a compensation of 50,000 yuan, about 7,700 USD, to compensate for the mental damage caused by the incident to herself and her family. The lawsuit was filed in a court in China’s Henan province on May 6. The story originates from an accident that happened in February this year, when Yazhou’s father was driving a Tesla Model 3, while Yazhou was sitting in the passenger seat. An unexpected incident occurred, the car crashed into the vehicle ahead, injuring Yazhou’s father and hospitalized. Yazhou asserted that the faulty brake system led to the accident, and carried out a series of different demonstrations, even looking to the riotous Shanghai Auto Show at the Tesla booth. Tesla is facing many complaints about customer service in China. Photo: Reuters. Tesla then released the car’s black box data, saying that in about 30 minutes before the crash, the car accelerated at times to nearly 120 km / h, braking 40 times and significantly reduced speed. degrees at the moment before the crash. Tesla doubted the incident might stem from Yazhou’s father speeding the car and not keeping a safe distance from the car in front. Yazhou of course disagrees with this conclusion of Tesla and thinks that the company may have interfered with the data to put false information. Although Tesla had offered to ask another independent unit to check the data from the vehicle, Yazhou refused. Tao Lin – Tesla’s vice president of global operations, said in a statement on April 19 that every action of Zhang Yazhou was “professional”, as if someone was behind to support her. This entire scheme is intended to undermine Tesla’s reputation. This is also the reason for Yazhou client’s decision to sue Ms. Tao Lin. In addition, Tesla Shanghai and Tesla Beijing are also on the list to be sued. In addition to the cost of compensation, Yazhou also asked all three of the aforementioned individuals and organizations to immediately stop the accusations, write letters of apology and post their apologies publicly on the national media. The cost of the lawsuit must also be paid by Tesla’s side. In the lawsuit, Zhang Yazhou also said that Tesla “should have actively negotiated and handled” product quality issues “with a demand and customer-focused attitude.” Instead, she accused the automaker of “making false statements to create a negative image” of her.

The red shirt is the main one, is seen as the rebuttal of the MSCHF before the lawsuit from the American sports company.
On the morning of March 31, The Fashion Law report that MSCHF is releasing a color t-shirt with the first page of Nike’s complaint. The company was sued by the American sports fashion company for affecting the brand’s image when editing shoe designs with a devilish theme, creating a sense of horror for users.

The red shirt comes out after Nike sued MSCHF. Photo: The Fashion Law. Accordingly, the shirt is considered a product mocking Nike named “Legal Fees” (roughly translated: Legal fees), sold for 66 USD. To match the design of the newly launched Satan shoe, it is also red and has a pair of horns imprinted above the complaint image. “This product adds to the persistent tease from both MSCHF and Lil Nas X over the sportswear brand. The T-shirt is similar to Warren Lotas’s rebuttal after Nike filed the lawsuit. The Fashion Law comment. Warren Lotas’s brand also once sold shirts, pencils and bumper stickers, and was mocking after a long legal battle with Nike. To the curiosity of many people, MSCHF quickly removed new products on their personal pages as well as the web. However, the online community took a quick snapshot. Satan shoes still quickly sold out despite receiving mixed opinions. Photo: MSCHF. Before that, on March 28, American male rapper Lil Nas X released the image of the Air Max sneakers, which was produced with a limited quantity of 666 pairs. The design’s controversial point is that the internal air cushion is filled with red ink. Each pair of shoes will have a drop of human blood, the manufacturer said. Followers unhappy with the product said they would boycott Nike. Thereafter, Nike confirmed that MSCHF’s shoes were made with no approval or authorization. A Nike spokesman told Input : “The company doesn’t want to have anything to do with these shoes. We have no relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF. We have not designed or released these shoes.” As of now, some people receiving shoes say MSCHF is starting to ship products. The brand also announced it will be donating the 666 Satan shoes on its personal page.

Ministry of Transport: Do absolutely fines and charges arbitrarily for truck drivers (Source: Beijing Youth Daily)

The Southern Metropolitan reporter learned from the WeChat official account of the Ministry of Transport that on the evening of April 22, the Ministry of Transport issued a document requesting that the recent problems in the administrative law enforcement in the field of freight transportation be eliminated, and truck drivers should be fined and charged, and that truck drivers and other practitioners should be taken care of. For the handling of complaints, it is necessary to unblock complaint handling channels, improve the working environment of truck drivers, and resolutely promote the resolution of outstanding problems that have long plagued the development of the industry.

According to the WeChat official account of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Transport recently held a meeting to further study and deploy work such as regulating administrative law enforcement in the field of road freight transportation and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of truck drivers. Minister Li Xiaopeng emphasized that it is necessary to coordinate development and safety, adhere to problem orientation, standardize administrative law enforcement, optimize the working environment, improve service levels, pay close attention to problem rectification, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of practitioners, and strive to promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of the road freight industry.

The Southern Metropolis reporter noted that the Ministry of Transport also mentioned the recent problems in the administrative law enforcement in the field of freight transportation, demanding to improve the working environment of truck drivers and unblock complaint handling channels.

The meeting emphasized that in response to the recent problems in administrative law enforcement in the freight field, the transportation authorities at all levels should adhere to the combination of near and far, address both symptoms and root causes, implement systematic rectification, and fundamentally solve outstanding problems in the stable development of the road freight industry.

The meeting requested that we must be determined to improve the working environment of truck drivers, improve the parking environment of truck drivers, unblock complaint handling channels, give full play to the role of the “12328” transportation service supervision telephone, and earnestly handle the complaints of truck drivers and other practitioners.

The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to effectively improve the standardization of administrative law enforcement, resolutely put an end to arbitrary fines and charges, escrow with fines, strictly prohibit rough law enforcement, excessive law enforcement, profit-seeking law enforcement, selective law enforcement and other issues, and improve the dynamic monitoring system of road transport vehicles.

According to previous reports from relevant authorities in Tangshan City, on April 5, Jin Deqiang drove a truck into the guard box of Jiangjiaying Zhichao Station in Fengrun District for joint inspection by road police. Law enforcement officers found that the truck’s Beidou positioning system was not operating online and was suspected of violating relevant road transportation laws and regulations, and guided the vehicle to the Zhichao Station for suspension in accordance with the law, and informed Jin Deqiang to go to the Zhichao Station License Office for further verification. Jin Deqiang did not go to the license room for verification immediately, but left the scene on his own. After investigation, it was discovered that he went to a nearby supply and marketing agency to buy pesticides, and returned to the Supermarket Control Station to consult the illegal behavior penalty standard at the license office window. According to the “Hebei Province Road Transport Regulations”, the staff told him that similar illegal cases were fined 2,000 yuan after verification.

The report stated that during the consultation period, punishment has not been implemented, neither party has excessive words or deeds, nor has any verbal or physical conflicts occurred. Without warning, he took out the pre-purchased pesticide from his pants pocket and drank it quickly. When the staff of the license office discovered that the unknown liquid that Jin Deqiang drank was pesticide, they called the police and dialed the emergency number 120. The people present immediately rushed him to the hospital, where the hospital tried its best to rescue him, but the treatment failed.

After the incident, Tangshan City immediately formed a joint investigation team, combined with the clinical diagnosis of the hospital, the public security agency determined that Jin Deqiang committed suicide by taking large doses of pesticides, and his family had no objection to this. After the incident, the relevant departments of Tangshan City assisted the family in handling the aftermath in a timely manner.

After President Biden came to power in January, the US State Department asked to reconsider the deal passed under former US President Donald Trump. Previously, there was a lawsuit asking to block the deal on the grounds that the UAE was involved in a conflict in Yemen and supported General Khalifa Haftar’s forces in Libya. In this regard, the US State Department said it planned to conduct a candid and continuous dialogue with the UAE.

In the statement, the State Department spokesperson stated that the US administration intends to launch the sale of fighter jets to the UAE, along with reviewing the details, consulting UAE officials to ensure said the two sides to understand the UAE obligations before, during and after delivery. The handover deadline will be in the next few years.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Gregory Meeks has expressed concern about the deal. According to this congressman, since the handover of the aircraft will not take place soon, the National Assembly will have plenty of time to evaluate whether to proceed with the deal, as well as whether to impose terms or arguments do not have any restrictions.

If the deal is enforced, the UAE will be the first Arab country to receive F-35 fighters, aircraft capable of gathering intelligence, attacking deep into the territory of the target and combat in the air. Under the plan, the UAE will receive 50 F-35s, equivalent to the fleet size of Israel.
