Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2) has strengthened research and applied science and technology to its production activities and has brought practical effects.

Flight equipment application PTC2 uses drones to manage and operate the transmission grid. Assigned by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) to pilot deploy many scientific and technological applications in the management and operation of the transmission grid, since 2017, PTC2 has researched and applied drones in the field of power transmission. management and operation of the transmission grid. The application helps to reduce the level of burden, improve safety and efficiency, and productivity for workers. Mr. Tran Thanh Phong, Director of PTC2 said that in 2019, after being accepted by EVNNPT, PTC2 has synchronously deployed to all affiliated units to deploy the application of flying equipment in the inspection of the power grid and supporting construction supervision and acceptance of power transmission works. From March 2020 up to now, PTC2 has deployed the application of aircraft to periodically check 1,100 km of 220 kV and 500 kV lines with a total flight time of 29,000 minutes. Thereby, it has contributed to reducing the burden, improving safety, efficiency and productivity for workers such as climbing high, contacting electrical equipment with large electromagnetic fields, moving on difficult terrains. difficult access to dangerous plants and animals. Rapid inspection deployment, being able to access locations in areas divided by rainstorms, landslides, real-time recording of the current situation with good quality images, clear viewing angles to help analyze information more accurate assessment and, most importantly, does not require power line interruption. Mr. Tran Thanh Phong analyzed, when applying flying equipment, according to preliminary calculations, on average, to test 1 km of 500 kV transmission line, it takes 0.52 time to perform the traditional method, and 0. 25 workers, down 0.27 jobs (52.38%). In addition, it also saves a lot of time, costs, and other human resources such as: checking thematically on corridors, conductors, lightning conductors, techniques, insulation status, accessories… Along with that, the application of flying equipment to support construction supervision of power transmission works, inspection, supervision and acceptance of pole erection, inspection of conductors, accessories, route corridors, etc. 220 kV, 500 kV works. Not only that, the application of flying equipment helps closely monitor the technical status of the power grid from above and in places where the human eye cannot see (or is very difficult to see). From there, it contributes to reducing the level of burden, improving safety, efficiency and productivity for workers such as climbing high, contacting electrical equipment with large electromagnetic fields, moving on difficult terrains. , access to dangerous plants and animals. Check for dangerous landslide areas or break off during flooding. Efficiency from surveillance camera system thống Camera system to monitor power transmission lines. An effective application for EVNNPT and PTC2 is the installation of line surveillance camera systems. Realizing the high efficiency and applicability of line cameras, PTC2 has installed cameras at all affiliated Power Transmissions since 2020. Up to now, on the PTC2 grid, 31 CCTV cameras have been installed on the transmission lines of the company. The cameras are connected to the company’s dispatching room so that functional departments as well as company leaders can monitor the current status and direct handling remotely when there are abnormalities on the line. According to Mr. Phong, the camera has a wide field of view, so it helps remote observers to easily detect and accurately assess abnormalities arising on the route such as: fires near the corridor, landslides, vehicles passing photos affect the safe operation of the line. Along with that, the camera helps to quickly access the scene to locations in flooded areas, thereby capturing the situation of the route section and directing appropriate handling. Since installing the camera up to now, PTC2 has detected 35 unusual incidents that may affect the safe operation of the line, thereby taking appropriate measures to ensure operation. In the coming time, PTC2 will continue to research on technology solutions for cameras, solutions for data transmission and analysis, image processing, and propose equipment and installation at necessary and important locations for roads. cord.

Glass bridge over the mountain, Longjing city, Jilin, China The world in general, and especially in China, is favoring the trend of building glass bridges in rugged mountainous areas to attract tourists who love adventurous experiences. But these glass bridges raise a lot of doubts about the level of safety, especially after the recent glass bridge was severely damaged by wind and storm in China recently. Glass bridge trend blooms, risks go hand in hand There is no organization that has statistics on the number of glass bridges in the world, but one thing is for sure, as tourism develops, the number of new glass bridges, with records of length and sophistication, is built in different places. where the terrain is difficult… more. In the West, there are some names such as Tower Bridge in London (UK), Skywalk Bridge in Grand Canyon (Arizona, USA…). In Asia, China is leading this trend with an estimated 60 glass bridges that have been built across the country of billions of people since 2016, according to the Earth Journal of the China Geological Museum. Even, many Chinese glass bridges entered the Guinness World Records. For example, the glass bridge at Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie, 430m long, spanning two cliffs 300m deep, opened to visitors in 2016. At that time, this was the tallest and longest glass bridge in the world. Recently, this record was broken by the bridge in Qingyuan, Guangdong, China with a length of 526m. Vietnam is also not out of the trend of developing glass bridges with the names of Dragon Cloud Bridge in Sapa and Love Bridge in Moc Chau… However, since this trend has blossomed, China has witnessed a lot of incidents that threaten the lives of tourists, making the people of this country in particular and the world question the level of safety. Recently, on May 7, stormy winds damaged the suspension bridge on Mount Piyan (Longjing City, Jilin Province), many of the bridge’s glass panels were cracked, some were even swept away, causing a tourist stuck, trembling, clinging to the bridge wall in front of winds up to 150km/h. Although the guest in trouble was safely brought down by the rescue team, checked for health and psychology and did not cause any other consequences, local authorities decided to close the bridge and conduct a comprehensive inspection. The entire incident was recorded by nearby tourists and posted on social media, raising concerns about the safety of glass bridges across China. “Too many glass bridges have been built in the last few years to serve tourists, but how can we ensure the safety of these structures?” said a doctor surnamed Li in Sichuan province. question. What are the technical standards and operation of the glass bridge? Photos of tourists stuck on the glass bridge According to Xinhua, many local governments of this country have published guidelines to ensure glass safety since 2018. In particular, Hubei province has published a set of technical standards for bridges and roads for people walk in glass at attractions, clearly stating instructions on materials, location, design, construction as well as operating procedures. For example, glass bridges should not be built in places where earthquakes often occur, must be closed during bad weather or natural disasters, and limit the number of people on the bridge to no more than 3 people/m2. In potentially hazardous locations, the bridge management must provide additional protective equipment, install warning signs in Chinese and at least 1 foreign language. Around the world, according to Paul Bingham, a materials scientist at Sheffield Hallam University (UK), designers and architects always think very carefully before choosing materials. “If using glass as a building material, there will be two weaknesses. The first is glass, which is fragile. The second is that the glass has no crystals, so if there is a crack on the surface, it will quickly spread and be difficult to restore,” said Paul Bingham. Therefore, a lot of research on glass materials has been done focusing on finding ways to limit cracking of the glass surface. “A scratched glass is much weaker than pristine glass when it has not been exposed to dust or air,” says Mr. Bingham. A number of new glass materials manufacturing techniques have been invented to make bridges, which is to add a layer of material such as polymer to the outside, preventing the glass from being cracked or scratched. This technique was used to build bridges in Longjing, China as outlined above. Many other glass manufacturers may put thin layers of flexible polymer in between the glass layers in case one glass breaks, leaving another layer intact to prevent total cracking. In general, the British expert affirmed, if the glass bridge is built by the above methods, it is basically safe. The most important thing is to ensure safety in operation, especially in case of bad weather. Around March 2018, according to China state television (CCTV), Hebei province had to close all 32 glass bridges for safety checks. In 2019, a man in Guangxi, China slipped on a glass bridge due to heavy rain, fell off the bridge and died.

Tu San alley is located right at the foot of Ma Pi Leng (Ha Giang) – one of the most craggy, dangerous and majestic passes of Vietnam. Here, there is Nho Que river with jade green water all year round, winding along the mountains.

With a cliff height of 800m, a length of 1.7km and a depth of nearly 1km, Tu San alley is known as the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia, a unique wonder in the Dong Van rock plateau. Possessing a magnificent beauty by the construction of nature, Tu San alley is majestic and proud between heaven and earth. In 2009, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism classified this area as a scenic relic of Vietnam, Nho Que River was honored as one of the unique tectonic valleys of Vietnam. Panoramic view of Tu San alley seen from above. The idea that “four great peaks” is the biggest challenge for backpackers, but few people know that in Vietnam there is another road that is “horror” twice as much. That is the pass known as the “14-storey slope” that is the most rugged and dangerous in the Northeast.

(Photo: Internet) The exact name of this scary pass is Me Pja, but locals often call it Me Pia. Me Pia Pass is a famous pass in Cao Bang, located on National Highway 4A, 2.5 km long, extending from Xuan Truong commune to the center of Bao Lac (a district bordering China). The pass consists of 14 steep floors, with bends, winding and winding roads. On both sides of the pass are high mountain ranges. (Photo: Vietnamroadtrip) It is said that the Me Pia pass dates back to the French colonial period, which was originally just a trail that could only be passed by horseback. The widest part of the pass is only about 40 cm. It was not until 2009 that the new pass was built and completed in 2011. Now, the pass is opened to be more open, with a width of about 5 m. Because of the ruggedness and picturesque winding, this road is always a place where many domestic and foreign backpackers when coming to the Northeast, typically Cao Bang, want to conquer. (Photo: Internet) Unlike other passes in Vietnam, you only need to reach the top to catch a panoramic view of the magnificence of this 14-storey pass. To reach the highest point of the pass, you need to trek through the forest along its slopes. In the layer of floating white clouds, the Me Pia pass appears winding, with winding bends, cascading like stairs to the “top of the sky”. The majesty of the natural landscape of the Northeast mountains, makes any visitor who can see it firsthand feel overwhelmed. (Photo: Internet) The time to climb up to the panoramic view point of the pass is about 1 hour (both up and down). Therefore, you need to bring water and snacks. Absolutely do not litter in the forest, in the route.

Heaven Gate is also known as ‘Bag Bom’, because tens of kilometers of passes are the focus of the attack of the US Air Force. The road is unique, dangerous, when being beaten, I don’t know where to go.
Located along the Vietnam-Laos border, running from Western Thanh Hoa to Quang Nam, Truong Son is the longest mountain range in Vietnam as its name suggests.

The average height of the Truong Son is 2,000 m, with many heights of over 2,500 m like a wall of citadel in the western border of the S-shaped strip of land. Throughout its length the Truong Son meanders and at times it seems that it wants to come close to the East Sea leaving only a thin strip of plain like rice leaves and the thinnest place is Quang Binh. Sticking to that thin strip of plain, the roads through Vietnam were easily blocked by the US air force. Therefore, in order to bring soldiers and goods to the South of the transport roads of the 559 line, it was compulsory to go round to Laos. But in order to get to Laos, people had to cross the top of Truong Son. Heaven Gate is one of those streets. Heaven Gate – surely it must be very tall to have that name “arrogant”. Standing at the bottom of the slope, looking up could not see the top, only seeing the mountain pass. Its ascending dimension alone was nearly 30 km. Heaven Gate is also known by another name – that is Monkey Pass – probably because it is too craggy and dangerous, only descendants of Emperor Sun Wukong live and pass here (?). Heard that there were many wheelchairs down the cliff from a height of thousands of meters. Heaven Gate is also known as “Bag Bom” because tens of kilometers of passes are the focus of the attack of the US Air Force, the road is unique and dangerous, when being beaten, it is impossible to avoid where to go. It is said that there are dozens of air raids of all types of aircraft, including the B-52s. I don’t know how bad the reality is, but looking up, I only see the sores like the stone age … I just heard it, I’ve seen it creepy. […] 17 o’clock. Mountain mist has spread to the table. In the sky the marker had flown south and disappeared. Company leader Than gave the order to set off. The sky darkened, the more difficult the way to go: The towering cliffs seemed to just collapse on the road, below is the abyss. The road is narrow, just two tank chains, there is a place where the borrowed land has been raked up and rushed down the cliff, the bends of the sleeves also appear more and more. The driver’s back of the shirt was wet with sweat, eyes strained to look at the road, both hands tugged the steering wheel continuously, then shifted gear, downshift. Binh muttered: – The road with nothing but only cows number 1, number 2 like this. Unexpectedly, company leader Than heard him, he reminded: – Just keep up the speed. Remember to stick close to me on narrow roads. About an hour away an almost upside-down slope appeared, again tied up like a bottleneck and folding crabs. Carefully ordered to stop the car for everyone to get off, he used a flashlight to signal behind to let the cars know, then got off the bus and asked Binh: – What is the temperature of the cooling water and oil? Binh looked down at the dashboard and said: – It’s all up a hundred degrees, but I guess I can still walk. – Then keep going. I’ll walk in the middle of the road, just look at my white shirt. Carefully take off the jacket and throw it in the driver’s door for Binh. Answer: – Yes! In front of Hien with Tinh, Dat, Trang is walking. Page carried a stone, his mouth said: – See if this is deep! Saying that he rolled the stone down, one stone dragged the other rock and hurled endlessly. Page stick out tongue: – Must be a few hundred meters, not a few. Show: – According to my estimate, this place is only about three hundred meters high. Haven’t eaten yet, this peak should at least be over a thousand meters. They both shook their heads and stuck out their tongues. Behind, according to the shadow of the company captain, Binh tried to keep the car right in the middle of the road, he was always sticking with him, so the mud shield sometimes bumped into the cliff and hit “uỳnh” once. Binh estimated that the slope should be approximately 30 degrees, it is impossible to go number one but the engine temperature roars (!). When the walking wing reached the top of that narrow slope, the tank just crawled to the middle, the teachers and students sat and rested for the car to arrive. It took three times to get off the bus to walk to the top of the slope. Strangely enough, thinking that the top of the slope had to be very choppy, it turned out to be a fairly flat and spacious road. The line-up of cars snuggled up on the edge of the road for a break and checked the technique to prepare to go downhill. Trang and Dat pulled each other to the edge of the road to look down, but saw nothing but a cloud, they rolled on a stone but only saw the same as last time, did not know where the bottom was. It turns out that the previous images of the downward direction of Heaven Gate were completely wrong. Everyone thinks that the slope is so steep, so dangerous, its downward direction must be “relative”. But not! The Heaven Gate slope in the West Truong Son is quite pleasant compared to the eastern half, it is gentle and short, probably at the foot of the slope is a plateau with an altitude of several hundred meters above sea level. Over the top of the slope a few kilometers, the front station was already on the way to enter the army camp. To enter the army camp today, we had to follow a stream. It is the dry season, so the stream has little water, the stream bed has different large and small shiny black rocks lying around. It was almost morning, everyone wanted to quickly hide the car. […] All about the vehicles quickly dissipated. The sound of an engine let out for a moment, then the silence returned the stillness of the forest. It was just morning too.

Railways pass through Hai Van pass (Da Nang and Hue) Many people have experienced and confidently said that: The North – South railway line passing through Lang Co – Hai Van Pass is the most beautiful railway in Vietnam! Because this is the most unique route when one side leaned on the towering mountain, the other faced the deep blue sea, creating a very unique and rare scene. You can sit on the train and watch the sea scenery from Hai Van pass, along with the green patches of green forest. In the summer, the wild flower hills on either side of the train track are also in full bloom and paint a brilliant picture. The trains passing through the Lang Co – Hai Van pass railway often move at a very slow speed, about 15km / h, due to many bends and dangerous terrain. But also because of this, passengers on board can easily enjoy and watch the natural scenery around the legendary Hai Van pass. 2. Phung Hung train route In Asia, when it comes to “Chinatown”, people will immediately think of three very famous names that have appeared in the international newspaper. These are all places that give visitors a thrilling, but no less exciting, experience. The story of this Hanoi railway neighborhood once appeared in many foreign newspapers. In April 2014, the British newspaper Dailymail published an impressive series of photos of trains running across the crowded residential area in Hanoi. During the railway run through the city of Hanoi through many streets such as Phung Hung, Dien Bien Phu, Le Duan … visitors can visit and experience the food service, but only the section across Phung Hung Street is the most crowded. Railways over a hundred years old running through the old town of Hanoi have recently become an attractive tourist destination for tourists, especially foreigners. The dreamy images seem to be only in the movie There are still simple, intimate and rustic features of Hanoi people. 3. Tran Quy Cap train route in Da Lat Dalat city always has beautiful little corners and the train track on Tran Quy Cap Street is such a place. This place is especially beautiful and romantic when cherry blossoms bloom with sparkling pink colors in the season. In addition to cherry apricot, this place is also adorned by the bright yellow color of many wild flower bushes characteristic of the land of fog. Also because of the cherry blossom season, many corners of this train line make people think of the romantic atmosphere of the Japanese cherry blossom season. The train trips between these beautiful and peaceful natural scenery are unique sceneries that you have the opportunity to experience. Because of this beautiful scenery, many people have come here to take excellent check-in photos of Dalat. To get beautiful photos, the photographer needs to wait for the train schedule to reach Trai Mat station and the shooting time is only a few seconds. Therefore, to see these beautiful images sometimes you also need a little more luck.
