The mystery of this giant terrestrial animal still makes the scientific world constantly decipher.
An international research team led by scientists at the Center for Ancient Genetics in Stockholm (Sweden) has sequenced DNA recovered from mammoth remains that are up to 1.2 million years old.

Analyzes show that the Colombian mammoth that inhabited North America during the last ice age was a hybrid between a woolly mammoth and a previously unknown line of mammoths. In addition, the study also provides new insights into when and how quickly mammoths adapted to cold climates. About a million years ago, there was no woolly mammoth on Earth (also known as tundra mammoth, scientific name: Mammuthus primigenius) ; or the Colombian mammoth (scientific name: Mammuthus columbi) , because they haven’t evolved yet. The ancient steppe mammoths were their ancestors. Researchers have now managed to analyze the genomes of three ancient mammoth species, using DNA recovered from mammoth teeth that had been buried for 0.7 to 1.2 million years in the permafrost layer. in Siberia. This is the first time DNA has been sequenced and authenticated from specimens that are millions of years old, and extracting DNA from these samples has been a challenge. The scientists found that only a small amount of DNA remained in the samples, and that they were broken down into very small fragments. Love Dalén, Professor of evolutionary genetics at the Center for Ancient Genetics in Stockholm, said: “This DNA is very ancient. The specimens are thousands of times older than the Viking relics, and even more predated the existence of humans and Neanderthals”. The ages of the specimens were determined using both geological data and molecular clocks. Both types of analysis show that two of the specimens are more than 1 million years old, while the third is about 700,000 years old and represents one of the earliest known woolly mammoths. come. The unexpected origin of the Colombian mammoth Genomic analysis shows that the oldest specimen, about 1.2 million years old, belongs to a previously unknown lineage of mammoth genes. The researchers call this the Krestovka mammoth, a name based on the area where it was found. The results show that the Krestovka mammoth diverged from other Siberian mammoth species more than 2 million years ago. “This came as a complete surprise to us. All previous studies have shown that there was only one species of mammoth in Siberia at that time, called the steppe mammoth. But the Our DNA analysis now shows that there are 2 different genetic lines, which we here call Mammoth Adycha and Mammoth Krestovka . We can’t say for sure yet, but we think they may represent two different species,” said Tom van der Valk, lead author of the study. Teeth of the Krestovka mammoth. Source: CPG The researchers also suggest that it was the mammoth of the Krestovka lineage that “dominated” North America about 1.5 million years ago. In addition, analyzes show that the Colombian mammoth, which lived in North America during the last ice age, was a hybrid. Nearly half of its genome comes from the Krestovka lineage and the other half from the woolly mammoth. “This is an important discovery. It seems that the Colombian mammoth, one of the most iconic species of the Ice Age in North America, evolved through a crossbreeding that took place about 420,000 years ago.” – Dong Author Patrícia Pečnerová said. Evolution and adaptation in the woolly mammoth The second million-year-old genome, from the Adycha mammoth, appears to be the ancestor of the woolly mammoth. The researchers were therefore able to compare its genome with that of one of the earliest known woolly mammoths that lived 0.7 million years ago, as well as with the genome of a mammoth. sucking only a few thousand years old. This makes it possible for scientists to investigate how mammoths adapted to life in cold environments and the extent to which this adaptation evolved during speciation. Proving how this giant animal has “risen” strongly over the past millions of years under extreme cold weather. The analyzes show that gene variants associated with life in the Arctic, such as hair growth, thermoregulation, fat accumulation, cold tolerance and circadian rhythms , appeared in the million-year-old mammoth, long before the origin of the woolly mammoth. These results indicate that most adaptations in the mammoth lineage occurred slowly and gradually over time. “Our analysis shows that most of the adaptations to cold weather were present in the ancestors of the woolly mammoth, and we found no evidence for natural selection. faster in speciation,” said co-author David Díez-del-Molino. Like their modern relatives, mammoths were quite large. The largest known species reach a height of 4 m and a weight of up to 8 tons, with some particularly large males weighing more than 12 tons. Future research The new results open the door to a host of future studies on other species. Love Dalén and co-author Patrícia Pečnerová with a mammoth tusk on Wrangel Island (Arctic Ocean). Photo: Gleb Danilov About a million years ago was a time when many species of organisms flourished across the globe. This is also a time of great changes in climate and sea levels, and the last time the Earth’s magnetic poles change positions. Therefore, the researchers think that genetic analyzes on this time scale have great potential to explore a wide range of scientific questions. “One of the big questions right now is how far back in time we can go. We haven’t reached the limit for the longest. It is expected that we can recover DNA that is two million years old, and even more so. can even go back as far as 2.6 million. Before that, there was no permafrost where ancient DNA could be preserved.” Anders Götherström, Professor of Molecular Archeology and lead researcher at the Center for Paleontology. These findings are published in the journal Nature.

The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco has been making strange noises for the past year. Photo: Reuters Strange sound According to The Guardian (UK), in a windy tunnel in the southwest of Ontario, California, a team of acoustic and aerodynamic experts is testing on a model of the railing of the Golden Gate Bridge. Experts have contracted to solve the mystery of a strange humming sound emanating from the famous bridge in San Francisco over the past year. Some residents living nearby feel extremely uncomfortable hearing this noise. Accordingly, this mysterious sound appears only on days with strong winds. It has been compared by some to the “ghost harmonica”, “the sound of the monks chanting”, or the “wheezing sound”. This strange sound quickly became a thrilling story in San Francisco. A music producer has put it on a track of existential fear. Some amused people consider it the “mellow song” of the bridge, others say the sound is very “creepy” and they can’t stand it. aliens made this noise. “It sounds like a noise I can imagine prison guards use to torture prisoners,” one social media user shared. But whether San Francisco people love it or hate it, engineers will get rid of it next summer. Video: The mysterious sound from the Golden Gate Bridge (Source: Youtube): The cause of the mysterious sound After residents of the city began complaining about the noise in June 2020, authorities began an investigation. They monitor this sound and use instruments to measure the vibration of the humming. They found that the sound usually comes out at 440 hz, matching the note of A. The noise occurs when the wind hits the new balustrade, installed from a slight angle, slightly north or south, relative to the normal wind from the west. “After carefully studying the phenomenon, we determined the sound was coming from the new aerodynamic railing that we installed on the west side,” said Paolo Cosulich-Schwartz, a spokesman for the Bridge Management Board. . “It is part of the Golden Gate Bridge upgrade, designed to protect the bridge by allowing it to withstand sustained high winds of up to about 160 km/h.” He said new, thinner railings have been installed to ensure the bridge doesn’t have the same problems as the ill-fated Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington. The bridge shook violently in the wind, then collapsed in 1940, shortly after a few months of construction. “So we had to go ahead with this project. As climate change leads to more extreme weather events, it is imperative that the construction be completed as soon as possible,” said Cosulich-Schwartz, adding that the building was retrofitted with wind resistance in 2016. last year at a cost of $12 million. A study conducted in 2013 showed that the maximum wind speed that the bridge can withstand is 111 km/h. Since its inauguration, the Golden Gate Bridge has been closed 3 times due to bad weather conditions, in 1951 with strong winds of 111 km/h, in 1982 with strong winds of 113 km/h and in 1983 with strong winds of 121 km /H. Fortunately, no damage occurred. So bridge engineers looked for newer thin slats that would allow the bridge to withstand winds of up to 160km/h. They just didn’t expect the bars to create such a “symphony”. Wind gusts of 160km/h are only possible in the event of a tornado, hurricane or tropical storm, said Warren Blier, a senior science official with the National Weather Service. The Golden Gate Bridge has been closed 3 times in its history due to strong winds. Photo: AP Attempts to silence the noise Meanwhile, engineers are determined to find a way to fix the problem. At engineering firm RWDI, an hour west of Toronto, a model of a bridge the size of a conference room was built in a wind tunnel. Engineers are testing various wind speeds and modifications to see if they can quell the noise. However, in the city of San Francisco, not everyone wants this noise to go away. A local blogger even created a sound list around the Golden Gate Bridge to help listeners sleep better. “I love the sound,” says Brianne Howell, a resident of west San Francisco, who shot a video of the bridge humming on one of her regular walks along the coast. “It reminds me of the weird sound in a horror movie. It’s sad to have to remove it.” Construction of the Golden Gate Bridge was started in 1933 and completed in 1937. The bridge spanning the Pacific Ocean, connecting the city of San Francisco with Marin County, has a length of up to 2,700 meters and a ground height of nearly 90 meters. . The Golden Gate Bridge is not only famous for its arduous construction process, but is also known as a tourist magnet of the United States.

Almost everyone has at least a few stretch marks. Stretch marks can even be viewed as a good thing, as they are a clear sign of changes happening in your body and the way your skin communicates. “Stretch marks are a natural part of the skin and changes we go through throughout our lives,” says Samantha Ellis, a dermatologist and clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of California, Davis. These ugly stretch marks are a type of scarring that occurs when areas of skin rapidly expand or contract. This sudden change damages the skin’s important structural fibers – collagen and elastin, leading to stretch marks as the skin heals. The care or healing of stretch marks requires a proactive approach. Here’s a guide to preventing and treating stretch marks. Causes of stretch marks Pregnancy is one of the best known causes behind stretch marks, with sudden weight gain being one reason. However, according to Dr. Ellis, anything that promotes a rapid change in body size can cause stretch marks. This includes losing weight or gaining muscle too quickly. In addition, genetic factors can play a role in the cause of stretch marks. So don’t be surprised when stretch marks appear without an element of unexpected weight gain or loss. Remember that the reason behind them is what you need to pay attention to. Pregnancy is one of the causes of stretch marks in women How to prevent stretch marks The skin like fields in the drought season is not a secret pain of women. The question is, is there any way to erase those ugly stretch marks? According to Dr. Ellis, people can fade cracks and limit the formation of new cracks, but cannot completely treat them. To overcome the condition of skin cracks, it is recommended to have a reasonable diet, supplement with vitamins and appropriate exercise regime to increase the flexibility of elastic fibers. Besides, moisturizing the skin prevents some stretch marks. The lotion contains vitamins E, C and A, and jojoba oil to help smooth skin and reduce dryness. Also, stretch marks are notoriously difficult to treat and tend to be better treated in the early stages (still pink or red). That means you should be wary of products that claim to fade stretch marks and ingredients that don’t have the science to back them up. Clinic treatments include laser therapy, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, ultrasound, and radiofrequency.

The fire was extinguished with water, so the clues were long gone, but this forensic expert was still able to unmask the culprit.
Master Tong Tu has four times held the position of prison sentence (equivalent to the position of provincial judicial judge). Working in practice for a long time, he clearly saw that most of the contemporary officials not only lack forensic knowledge and experience in criminal justice, but also recklessly judge judgments and disregard human life, thus creating many unjust crimes. .

Seeing this situation, Tong Tu felt uneasy, so he brought all the accumulated experience for a long time to write the book series “Cleaning Oan Tap Luc”. In the book “Tai Oan Tap Luc” there are many unbelievable cases of injustice in an era where technology has not yet developed. Was the victim suffocated in the fire or burned after death? One night in 1238, a fire in the western suburbs destroyed the entire house. After the fire was extinguished, residents discovered a charred body in it. The dead man was originally a builder who had no grudge against anyone in the village. Upon receiving the report of the crime, Tong Tu prison immediately went to the scene. During the autopsy, Master Tong Tu noticed that the corpse had many abnormalities. Moreover, next to the body, the victim intentionally left an autograph written with only one word “Fill” . By using vinegar and alcohol, Tong Tu found traces of the perpetrator’s crime. (Photo: Sohu) Although burned black, but the dead person’s throat is completely clean, there is no soot, based on the principle that if a living person encounters a fire, in the process of breathing will often accidentally inhale a lot of smoke and dust. the dead do not. Therefore, he confirmed the victim was burned after death. Although the fire was extinguished with water, the clues were long gone, but Tong Tu had his own thoughts. He decided to examine it again and found that the dead body had a wound, like being stabbed with a knife. This fatal wound caused the victim to die, then someone set fire to destroy the evidence. Vinegar has the effect of dissolving blood stains, proving that the victim has been killed and then burned. (Photo: Sohu) Master Song Tu ordered his subordinates to clean up the scene, sweep away the dust where the victim’s body was found, and then poured white vinegar and wine on the ground. Just a moment, after the wine and vinegar had evaporated, there was indeed a streak of blood on the floor. Indeed, the victim was stabbed to death, but who committed the crime? According to traditional Chinese medicine, vinegar is warm and has the effect of removing blood stasis, promoting blood circulation, reducing swelling and detoxifying. As for the explanation of modern science, vinegar has the ability to dissolve animal proteins. Therefore, in this case, Master Tong Tu took advantage of the properties of vinegar to affect the hematoma at the scene, causing it to dissolve and appear. The truth is revealed Based on the evidence, Song Xu suspects that the killer is definitely related to the word “Dien” that the victim tried to save at the scene. But with just one word “Fill” how to determine if the victim is targeting the name or something of the offender? After comparing the knife wounds, Tong Tu concluded that the victim had been stabbed to death. (Photo: Sohu) Song Tu sends a head to investigate the relationships surrounding the builder. Clues began to appear, and the head reported that before his death, the victim had come to help a rich man in the village to build a wall. Immediately after the completion of the work, this builder died. At this time, Tong Tu put his doubts on this incident, he looked more closely and discovered that the housekeeper of the rich house was named Dien That , is similar to the word “Fill” that the victim saved. He ordered a search of Tian Qi’s house and found a bloody dagger. Although Tian Qi insisted on arguing, when comparing the wound on the body, it completely coincided with his knife. After interrogation, Dien That admitted that he killed the builder under the orders of the rich man. As it turned out, that year there was a famine, in order to help the poor, Tong Tu Dai proposed to his superiors the plan of using rice from the rich in the village to distribute to everyone. The rich man devised a plan to hire people to build a wall to block the granary because he did not want to divide the rice among the people. But when the victim finished building, the rich man was afraid of revealing the story, so he sent the housekeeper to kill the man and silence him. So, thanks to the application of profound medical knowledge combined with keen observation, Master Tong Tu once again successfully solved the case and exonerated the dead. Simultaneously with this discovery, he contributed significantly to the next generation with many suggestions to find evidence to impeach many perpetrators.

The mysterious crosses carved into one of the walls of the stairs leading down to the Chapel of Saint Helena at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem may not be what they imagined, a new study suggests.

Crosses on the wall at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Holy Land of Jerusalem. Until now, religious scholars believe that medieval pilgrims traveling to this sacred site carved images of crosses on the walls. But new research has shown that only a handful of people, be they masons or artisans, carved these crosses on behalf of pilgrims, who may have kept the dust from carved as a sacred keepsake. Some crosses date from the 14th or 15th centuries, hundreds of years after the Crusades in the Holy Land (1096-1291), suggesting that post-medieval pilgrims may have made the trees. Cross. “During our research, we scrutinized, analyzed every millimeter inside the crosses – their depth, their width, even the hands of the people who carved them,” said the project leader. Project Amit Re’em, Jerusalem regional archaeologist with the Israel Antiquities Authority said. The team found that it was one person, or several, responsible for making these crosses, not the hundreds and thousands of pilgrims who visited the church. Re’em got the idea for research while visiting the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The church was built in the 4th century, when Saint Helena, mother of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, traveled to Jerusalem, and according to legend, helped discover the place where Jesus was crucified, burial and resurrection. Constantine had a basilica built there, and it was later called the Church of the Tomb. Together with colleagues Moshe Caine and Doron Altaratz, professor and senior lecturer, in the Department of Photographic Communication at Hadassah Academic College in Jerusalem, the team used three photographic techniques to record the shape of the crosses: photogrammetry, reflectance-conversion imaging (RTI) and gigapixel imaging. For the optical measurement, the team took between 50 and 500 images of each subject, with each image at a different angle, and then used software to create a digital 3D image based on the triangulation of all The pictures. Meanwhile, with gigapixel photography, which is similar to zooming in from the whole world to a close-up street view on Google Maps, the team took multiple photos of the carved surfaces. All of these techniques help Re’em investigate the similarities and differences, including the chisel technique, of each carved cross. Furthermore, when the researchers took pictures of the crosses, they noticed inscriptions of names and dates engraved along them. “We found that the crosses were carved around the inscriptions, which means that the crosses date to or slightly later than the inscriptions,” Re’em said. After reading about the research being done in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz recently, William Purkis, a reader of medieval history at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, contacted Re’em. Purkis said he shares the same thoughts with Israeli researchers on the findings that these crosses were made by only a few experts. It is possible that the pilgrims paid a stone mason or an artist to carve a cross for them in the church, and then saved the dust as a sacred keepsake, Purkis said. In the Middle Ages, pilgrims were known to carry small lead vessels filled with souvenirs of the Holy Land, such as water from the Jordan River. Two of these medieval vases are in museums – the Cleveland Museum of Art and the British Museum.

The Blue Brain project led by neuroscientist Henry Markham of the Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland has found that although we are used to seeing the world from a three-dimensional perspective, the brain does not. Ours is filled with multidimensional geometric structures, and can even be operated on 11 dimensions.

The human brain is a complex multi-scale structure in which molecules, cells and neurons coexist. It can be modeled as a multi-layered network, called a brain connection pool. Neighboring neurons are connected to form local structures, and different local structures form connections to perform cognitive functions. The human brain is estimated to have about 86 billion neurons. To decipher where consciousness comes from, the researchers used a Swiss supercomputer and used algebraic topology to build a detailed model of the cerebral cortex. Through testing the response of the mathematical model to virtual stimuli and examining the reality of the mouse brain, the researchers were able to determine the details of the neural network on a single neuron. and the entire brain structure. At the same time it was discovered that there are different types of high-powered activity in the brain consisting of a three-dimensional geometric structure – tightly connected clusters of neurons and existing regions. space (cavity) between them. These empty regions appear to be important for brain function. When the researchers applied the stimuli to their virtual brain tissue, they found that the neurons responded to the stimulus in a highly organized manner. This means that as we think about problems, clusters of neurons will gradually coalesce into higher-dimensional structures, forming holes or voids of height. The more neurons in the clusters, the higher the size of the gap, and the highest limit that can be achieved is 11 dimensions. The whole process always follows the order from low to high, the structure will become more and more complicated and eventually collapse. It’s like building a castle on the beach, the castle gets taller and taller and eventually it will collapse on its own. This is exactly like the large-scale filamentous structure of the universe, where galaxies and galaxy clusters form a giant filamentous structure with a giant hole in the middle. In a recent study, it was discovered that our Milky Way galaxy lies within a giant hole one billion light-years across. This study provides new discoveries about how the brain processes information. Scientists speculate that high-dimensional gaps in neuronal structures may be where the brain stores memories, but it’s unclear how these blocks and gaps are formed. How it works, so further studies are needed to determine the connection between the multidimensional structure of neurons and complex consciousness. The interaction between the human brain and the universe is completely different, but there have been many observations and conjectures about the similarity between the neural network and the cosmic network under observation from a microscope and telescope. The researchers quantitatively analyzed the similarity between the two factors based on optical microscopy observations of brain tissue and high-resolution cosmic-matter network imaging, with the help of the method. network analysis. First, there is a huge difference in scale between the brain network and the cosmic network, which is similar only on a specific scale. Brain neural networks are now thought to consist of tens of billions of neurons. The number of galaxies currently observed in the cosmic lattice exceeds 100 billion. In addition, in the neural network of the brain and the network of the universe, only a small amount of matter constitutes the network. There are a large number of holes between giant galaxies, and about 70% of the mass is made up of dark matter. In the human brain too, which is a biological organ, the most important component is water, in the human brain, nerve cells are only 25% and about 75% water. Up to this point, “having water in your head” has a certain scientific basis. In the universe, dense clusters of galaxies predominate, while in the human brain, specifically in neural networks, nerve fibers create uniform small patterns. However, when the researchers increased the magnification of the microscope, they were able to see some similarities to the cosmic web in brain slices.

Up to now, the image of palace maidens appearing by the red wall at the Forbidden City during the 1992 storm has not been explained.
The Imperial Palace of Beijing, also known as the Forbidden City, was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in Chinese history. This is the largest and most complete preserved palace architectural complex in the world.

Since its construction to the present, dozens of emperors have lived in the Forbidden City, leaving behind countless historical stories that are both interesting and scary. Especially the spooky mysteries surrounding this place. Although it is just a word of mouth, unverified and unanswered, it also makes the public extremely excited and curious. Inside the Forbidden City, there are always many mysteries In 1992, a group of tourists visiting the Forbidden City saw the image of a group of palace maids dressed in ancient costumes, lining up to walk in the rain, causing everyone to panic. Witnessing this, some people in the tour group, after regaining their senses, used their cameras to capture the strange scene. Before this mysterious event, there were some scientists who made their own statements, but not many people recognized them. After the above story was widely spread, many people wondered why only these guests witnessed the image of the palace maids. After a while, some scientists explained that perhaps the red walls at the Imperial Palace contain Fe3O4 (iron oxide) and this is the cause of this phenomenon. Specifically, the camera of the delegation contains iron oxide and thanks to this component, when an electric current flows through, the camera can record images of the bows. The researchers also believe that electricity from lightning can travel through red walls, turning it into a “giant camera”. Or like the story in the royal garden, there are often warm female voices during the day and pitiful cries at night Accordingly, it is possible that more than 100 years ago, the group of palace maidens also walked in this area in the middle of a storm. It was the strong lightning in the rain and the red wall that acted as a camera, capturing this scene. After more than 100 years, during the same rain in 1992, the “giant camera” once again happened to work. However, it does not record the image as before, but this time it emits the image. Facing this judgment, some architects have protested because the red wall in the Forbidden City has been painted and repaired many times, so if there is really iron oxide, it has been covered for a long time and cannot be created. a “giant camera” as scientists put it. However, some old people who lived in the Forbidden City in the past believe that this place is a “park” of spirits. In the old feudal times, palace maids and eunuchs were often pushed into a well or beaten to death in a secluded corner. And perhaps because of their sudden death, they are still lingering in this world. In the book “Folk legends of old Beijing” is recorded the story of an elderly eunuch about an incident he witnessed in the past, when the Qing dynasty had not yet ended. He said: “It was an extremely hot night, and I and some other eunuchs returned to their accommodation to rest after completing their assigned tasks. At that time, I went last. Suddenly, I felt Someone tapped me on the shoulder from behind. But when I looked back, I didn’t see anyone.” Many thrilling stories have created the veil of mystery of this ancient place. The old eunuch emphasized his fear, revealing: “I was so scared inside, but I could only keep walking. Then someone tapped me on the shoulder again. I still thought it was the person. But when I turned to look back, I only saw a palace maid without legs, floating in the air.” “At that time, because I was so scared, I screamed. An elderly eunuch later scolded me many times, he said these ghosts are not to blame. Because they only used to go out late at night for a walk. comfort, not arbitrarily harming anyone.” Although there are many conflicting opinions on this issue, so far, no one has been able to give an explanation for this mysterious event. Therefore, the image of the palace maidens walking in the rain in 1992 is forever a mystery. See more: Decipher the mystery of the Forbidden City: Life ‘with the whole country’ only lacks the freedom of the Qing Emperor

It is no coincidence that since ancient times, high and sacred mountains have always been chosen by the high monks to build temples.
Not only is the “convergence” point of the sacred air of heaven and earth, this terrain is also especially suitable for the original spirit of Buddhism: letting go of all worldly things, avoiding the temptations of dust to practice cultivation. practice, quickly find the path to enlightenment.

The paintings of thousands of years white clouds fly As one of the world’s largest religions, throughout history, Buddhism has left mankind with millions of magnificent works. Among them, the “thousands of years of white clouds flying” paintings always have a very special position. In the world, there can be names like the Four Great Buddhist Mountains of China, Rongbuk Monastery, Tibet or the mountains like Taktsang Palphug (Bhutan), Golden Stone Pagoda (Myanmar) or Huyen Khong Temple (Myanmar). China)… In Vietnam, the holiest temples often have a similar location. Typically in the North, there is Dong Yen Tu pagoda located in Truc Lam Yen Tu complex located on Yen Son peak with an altitude of 1,068 m above sea level. As the “holy land” of the Truc Lam Zen sect, Yen Tu’s pure and secluded space is an ideal place for Zen practitioners to attain the Way. Further south, Linh Son Tien Thach Tu on the slopes of Ba Den mountain in Tay Ninh – the roof of the South is also a destination not to be missed. The 300-year-old temple is associated with the legend of Ba Den’s epiphany not only naming the whole land but also associated with the local residents’ belief in worshiping the Holy Mother Linh Son. Spiritual complex on the top of Fansipan The most prominent is the spiritual complex of Fansipan on the roof of Indochina, with an altitude of more than 3,000 m above sea level. Including 12 works bearing bold architecture of the ancient Vietnamese temples of the North of the 15th-XVI centuries, the complex makes visitors feel like they are lost in a pure region. The Arhat Street was silent and majestic in the mist; The great compassionate Amitabha Buddha statue covers all worlds or amazing natural phenomena such as Buddha light, sea of clouds … all make Fansipan a sacred and peaceful destination. Decoding the sacred circuit of the mountain According to researchers on history – culture, the reason why high monks often choose high mountains to build pagodas is rooted deeply in the original Buddhist beliefs. Accordingly, Theravada Buddhism inherently advocates “out of the world”. Those who go to practice are called monastics, which means letting go of everything that belongs to the world. Buddhism believes that: If you want to practice, the mind must be pure, if you want to be pure, the six senses (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, body and nerves) should not have too much contact with the world. Therefore, the ancients often chose deserted places, away from the temptations of dusty places to study to quickly attain enlightenment. From a feng shui point of view, the terrain on the mountain is one of the ideal places, with good feng shui, receiving a lot of energy from heaven and earth, converging spiritual energy, creating a solemn and solemn atmosphere. If you build a pagoda next to the sacred gas gathering points, you will always get prosperity, the pagoda will be sacred and last for years. That is also the reason why the spiritual population on Fansipan peak is agreed by many feng shui researchers that: The peak of 3,143 m in Vietnam is one of the landmarks on the meridian line starting from the roof of the world to the top of the world. to the Gulf of Mindanao Philippines, converging in itself full of the quintessence, the spirit of heaven and earth. Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Secretary General of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha also commented: Fansipan – the highest mountain in the thousands of thousands of mountains in the majestic Hoang Lien Son range, the great blood vessel of the country, the source of spiritual energy… Cultural and spiritual complex, including a system of pagodas such as Bao An Thien Tu , Bich Van Thien Tu, Kim Son Bao Thang Tu, Great Buddha Statue of Amitabha, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara… have enhanced the magical spiritual realm of the majestic Fansipan… continue to arouse abundant spiritual resources, bringing to the well-being of everyone and will further promote the development of Lao Cai “. Located on that “great vein”, each building in the complex has an almost perfect harmony with nature and is especially suitable for feng shui elements. Prominent as Kim Son Bao Thang Tu is designed to adhere to the mountain position, like a mountain. Seen from afar, the shape of the pagoda blends with the great blue color, hidden in the mist, as beautiful as a fairyland. Walking in the spiritual space and feeling the peace between heaven and earth in the place of the national bloodline, Fansipan peak is not only a tourist destination but also becomes an address to worship the sacred Buddha, a heritage for thousands of people. next life.

Are the beehives intentionally placed inside the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, a way for this supercar company to research a new design or is there another reason?
Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy was built in 1963 and is still the headquarters to produce the most powerful supercars to conquer the “bull” followers around the world.

But few people know that inside the factory campus is also home to 600,000 bees. And every day, the bees are still rushing around in search of honey, living at the same pace as the production of supercars equipped with powerful V12 engines. Are the bees living in the Lamborghini factory responsible for helping the engineers here research to design models that inherit the aerodynamics from animals and insects as often seen in the history of the automotive industry? paint the world? A worker wearing protective gear with the Lamborghini logo checks honey at the beekeeping area in the factory Reality is not like that. On the occasion of May 20 every year chosen by FAO as World Honeybee Day, Lamborghini supercar company is also pleased to announce the latest count results of the population of bees in its factory which has reached 600,000. Back in 2016, the Italian supercar maker kicked off a biomonitoring project with the construction of eight beekeepers in the Lamborghini park at the Sant ‘Agata Bolognese factory. To date, the number of beekeepers has increased to 12 and it has an important task in understanding how the environment surrounding the plant affects the habitat of humans as well as insects. And bees, with their random behavior of pollinating in the process of collecting honey, will give quite accurate results on environmental quality. At certain times, entomologists associated with the Lamborghini factory will test the quality of honey and wax to assess environmental quality. Currently, the green trend in the auto industry is almost the target of many famous car manufacturers. Not only planting more trees, expanding static space, but some factories like Ford also increase waste water reuse or produce car accessories from recycled materials. As for beekeeping to assess the quality of the factory environment like Lamborghini, Bentley has recently learned and launched a similar project last year. Dinh Quy (according to Carscoops) Invite readers to collaborate, send news about the Department of Motor Vehicles by email: otoxemay@vietnamnet.vn.

Nuclear Research Institute (headquartered in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province) is a leading unit in the field of agricultural biology in Vietnam’s atomic energy industry. In particular, radiation breeding is an area that has existed for a long time and developed to this day, currently applying irradiation to cause mutations in flowers, ornamental leaves and rare fake crane orchids.
 Irradiation selects mutations

Technicians of the Center for Radiation Technology and Biotechnology (Nuclear Research Institute, based in Da Lat city, Lam Dong) next to a radioactive projector that causes mutations in plants. The Center for Radiation Technology and Biotechnology (Nuclear Research Institute) is a unit that regularly applies radiation techniques to select and create mutant varieties on plants. Especially in the past time, the orchid and bonsai market has been extremely active, many customers have come to the center to irradiate to mutate their plants. The irradiation process is quite quick, with the new technology Gama Cobalt irradiator, this process only takes about 1-2 minutes and is completely automatic. Immediately after, orchid seeds will be taken to the separation room to be cultured in nutrient solution for a certain time. After that, these plants were further isolated many times to select mutant morphologies different from the parent plant. Master Le Xuan Cuong, irradiation technician (Center for Radiation Technology and Biotechnology), said that the number of doses will vary depending on the sample provided by the customer such as tissue samples, branches, seedlings… “After irradiation, it will produce random mutations, beneficial or harmful, regardless of their will” – Master Cuong said. Currently, the Center’s Culture Room is storing many pseudo-crane orchid seedlings that have mutated on the stem and on the leaves. Specifically, the color of leaves and stems have turned white or purple. These are mutant forms that can be seen immediately, for flower color, you have to wait for the plant to grow and flower as usual. According to Mr. Le Van Thuc, Deputy Director of the Center for Radiation Technology and Biotechnology, for flower plants, by irradiation techniques, it is possible to select flower colors or select traits that are resistant to adverse conditions. environmental benefits such as preventing fungal and bacterial diseases on plants. “Compared to natural mutations, the probability is one in a thousand or one million, but using radioactive sources to cause mutations in plants will have a higher probability of hundreds, thousands of times,” – Mr. Thuc analyzed. Application on many plant varieties After irradiation, samples of the fake crane orchids were taken to the separation room to be cultured in nutrient solution for a certain time. Not only orchids, the Center for Radiation Technology and Biotechnology has tested irradiation to cause mutations on Forget-me-not Da Lat flowers, Torenia flowers, and Dendrobium orchids. The results have created many mutant lines in flower color and structure of stems and leaves with great differences compared to the mother plant. Through that, the Center has built up the basic processes of radiation breeding; selection of materials for irradiation, frequency of irradiation, propagation, experimental planting to screen for mutations at phenotypic level, identification of mutant lines at molecular level… According to Mr. Le Van Thuc, the Center’s orientation will continue to promote the field of plant biotechnology and plant breeding, rapid multiplication of plant varieties and conservation of valuable plant genetic resources; continue to develop radiation technology in the selection and breeding of key plant varieties, endemic varieties of Lam Dong province, focusing on selecting and creating new quality varieties on flower, fruit, ornamental and medicinal plants. The culture room of Radiation Technology and Biotechnology (Nuclear Research Institute) houses many mutant plants, which are mainly orchids. Currently, the Nuclear Research Institute has used irradiation techniques combined with In-vitro methods, applying in vitro flowering techniques to quickly select flower color mutations, shortening the selection time. filtering, reducing the cost of isolating mutant lines that previously had to be planted in the field for selection. At the same time, the Institute cooperates with many units throughout the country such as the Southern Fruit Institute, the Mekong Delta Rice Institute, the Central Highlands Agro-Forestry Research Institute, universities: Tra Vinh University, the University of Da Lat,… to handle mutant irradiation on many different crops. Mr. Do Minh Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Lam Dong province, said that irradiation is a tool and a technological solution for breeding that many parts of the world have implemented. However, the selection and maintenance of mutant traits is very important and requires time and experience for these plants to become a source of seeds for other production industries.

Di Linh fake crane – a ‘famous’ orchid of the orchid world inside and outside Lam Dong province, often sought to buy at different prices. However, with today’s modern In-vitro technology, for the first time, the Center for Science and Technology Application (Lam Dong Department of Science and Technology) has successfully studied the mass propagation process. this tree.
 Mass breeding

Orchid nursery nursery Di Linh – the result of the project of breeding In-vitro fake crane orchids by the Center for Science and Technology Application (under the Department of Science and Technology of Lam Dong Province). The technique of propagation by plant tissue culture (In-vitro) is no longer strange in Lam Dong province in general and Da Lat city in particular. The application of this technology to propagate the species of Orchid Di Linh was first deployed by the Center for Science and Technology Application. The project was completed, completed and accepted by Mr. Phan Quoc Chinh, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Center for Science and Technology Application and his colleagues. To select the original source of quality seed, the people who carried out the project had to collect Gia Hac Di Linh orchids in Da Lat city and Di Linh district, in orchid gardens that met strict standards. Sampled plants must have an average height of 30-40 cm, have 14-16 pairs of leaves, average trunk diameter of about 4mm and be planted in plastic or terracotta pots. Each tree has 4-5 fruits and the physiological ripening rate is not equal. Selected fruits that should be dark green and physiologically ripe, of the specified size, without cracks, were collected for inclusion in the sample. After cleaning and disinfecting, samples of Di Linh falcon will be propagated in-vitro according to the following summary procedure: Initial culture stage to create buds and clusters of buds; rapid multiplication stage; rooting stage to create a complete plant. These three stages take about 28 weeks, then the seedlings (5cm tall, 4cm long roots, good growth, dark green leaves) are brought to the nursery to plant and take care of. After about 24 weeks, the plant can be grown with a height of 5-7cm, with 4-5 leaves. According to Mr. Phan Quoc Chinh, plants grown in an In-vitro environment must ensure the conditions of temperature, humidity and light intensity according to certain cycles. In addition to the results of creating a series of fake crane orchids, the project also built a standard process for propagating this plant by the In-vitro method and can be transferred to other units. “During the implementation, we tried to add ripe banana pulp, coconut water to the culture medium.
After irradiation, samples of the fake crane orchids were taken to the separation room to be cultured in nutrient solution for a certain time. (Photo: Nguyen Dung/VNA) In Lam Dong – the “capital” of high-tech agriculture of the country, the application of new science and technology in agriculture is increasingly widespread. Especially for the plant breeding industry to preserve rare genetic resources as well as to develop commercial varieties of these plants. Wild Orchid Di Linh is one of such trees. They are not only mass-produced, but also irradiated to create mutations on demand. Di Linh fake crane – a “famous” orchid of orchid players inside and outside Lam Dong province, often sought to buy with many different prices. However with In-vitro technology As modern as it is today, for the first time, the Center for Science and Technology Application (Lam Dong Department of Science and Technology) has successfully studied the process of mass propagation of this plant. Mass breeding The technique of propagation by plant tissue culture (In-vitro) is no longer strange in Lam Dong province in general and Da Lat city in particular. A seedling of the fake crane orchid has had a mutation: the color of the leaves, the stem has turned white or purple. (Photo: Nguyen Dung/VNA) After being cleaned and disinfected, samples of Di Linh imitation crane will be propagated in-vitro according to the following summary procedure: initial culture stage to create buds and clusters of buds; rapid multiplication stage; rooting stage to create a complete plant. These three stages take about 28 weeks, then the seedlings (5cm tall, 4cm long roots, good growth, dark green leaves) are brought to the nursery to plant and take care of. After the next 24 weeks, the plant can be grown with a height of 5-7cm, with 4-5 leaves. The results showed that shoot formation and shoot growth also increased faster than normal, “- Mr. Chinh said. Very cheap price After finishing breeding process In-vitro, the first 500 orchid seedlings were brought to the nursery at the Don Duong Experimental Station (Don Duong District) and continued to be tested on many different types of media within 3 months. As a result, the rate of plants living outside the nursery reached 90%. The fashion style of the British royal family always attracts fashionistas around the world. Each outfit the queen or princess wears adheres to strict rules and standards. However, they have their own secret, pay attention to every little detail to look good in public and convey the message to everyone.

The Queen of England is a person with a passion for hand bags. She has more than 200 bags from the brand Launer. The Traviata bag model, priced at $ 2,060, became the best-selling accessory of the British brand thanks to the promotion from Queen Elizabeth II. In addition, the accessories produced for the queen must have an extended handle for her to easily shake hands with guests. Queen Elizabeth II loves to wear a Launer bag. According to expert on royal etiquette – Myka Meier, the queen wears her handbag everywhere, even when standing in Buckingham Palace, England. That was the implicit message she wanted to convey to the royal staff. Specifically, she often puts her bag on the chair if she wants to have a longer conversation with the guests. On the contrary, when the queen puts her bag on the floor, this act means she hopes to end the story immediately. The Queen conveys her own message by wearing a handbag. During lunch or dinner, the bag placed on the table implied that Queen Elizabeth II wanted to end the meeting within 5 minutes or so. Wearing the accessory on her left hand shows that she is feeling happy and comfortable with the opposite person. In addition, Queen Elizabeth II always uses only one color for the bag and the design must not have small compartments, straps or zippers. This comes from the story that she loves neon colored outfits. If choosing color accessories does not help in complementing the outfit, the overall will become messy and lack of sophistication. According to the Digest Reader , the reason Queen Elizabeth II’s dress is colorful is because she needs to stand out from the crowd. Thanks to that, when participating in the event, the public can recognize and see the queen. Unlike the queen, Princess Kate Middleton tends to choose hand clutches, instead of large handbags. She does this to avoid shaking hands during meetings with unfamiliar guests. “When the British princess is present at the event, she often holds her clutch with two hands and puts it in front to avoid shaking hands with strangers,” Myka Meier shared. Princess Kate Middleton often holds clutches with two hands.

The quaint desert village of Dulce, New Mexico, is home to less than 3,000 residents and doesn’t even have traffic lights. Dulce is famous for being home to the Jicarilla Apache Reserve, northern New Mexico and largely inhabited by indigenous tribes.
However, this small and unpretentious community is an especially attractive destination for curious and conspiracy theorists about aliens, and most believe that beneath the town is an opportunity. secret seven-story military facility known as Dulce Base.

For decades, there have been many rumors that extraterrestrials have been conducting human experiments with the help of the US military at the secret underground base Archuleta Mesa in Dulce. , New Mexico. “Witness” The legend began in the 1970s. It began with officer Gabriel Valdez discovering strange lights in the sky and the corpse of a creature on the ground in Dulce with inexplicable cuts. According to Valdez, the creature he found resembled a mutilated cow with a dead fetus inside. He insists this is not an unborn calf, which looks like a strange hybrid that “looks like a human, a monkey and a frog”. Nearby were gas masks scattered. Valdez is said to have lied, but he insists the government has a hand in these cases, “evidence is left there – you know, predators don’t leave gas masks, fire sticks. lights, radar shields… They don’t leave those things behind,” Valdez said. In his book “A Culture of Conspiracy”, Michael Barkun argues that cattle carcasses with a series of puzzling cuts are often associated with people seeing UFOs. The researcher even noted that the Colorado-New Mexico border area had become one of the most famous locations across the United States for alien sightings in the early 1980s. Dulce base satellite image. Having studied a lot about aliens and the explanations for the appearance of UFOs on Earth, in the 1980s, Paul Bennewitz, a physicist and businessman, shocked the public with a government statement. are conspiring to carry out a plan to link up with aliens to dominate the human race. He noticed that his electronic devices were disabled every time he tried to enter the Albuquerque region of New Mexico, so Bennewitz believed the aliens were trying to cause disturbances to prevent humans from accessing the area. Since 1982, Bennewitz began to theorize about the existence of a secret base in the UFO community. In 1988, he carried out a work called “Project Beta” and warned of the risk of humanity being attacked by aliens in the future. After Paul Bennewitz’s accusations, military experts and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) repeatedly intervened, repeatedly presented evidence that he had mental problems, even brought him on the list of objects to watch closely. The harshness of US officials further raised suspicions that they were trying to erase all traces of the existence of the Dulce base from prying eyes. In May 1990, UFO researcher John Lear claimed to have obtained “four independent evidence” that the seven-story underground structure was real. Lear used to be a former pilot and worked in the government of the government, he is also the son of the inventor of the LearJet aircraft, so many people trust his judgment. In his studies, Lear even went into detail describing various alien species that are believed to have visited Earth. Many of Lear’s arguments became the basis for subsequent claims about the alien base in New Mexico. Tim Anderson, a former Dulce police officer, also claims to have seen UFOs in town in the late 1990s. He told a reporter for the Santa Fe New Mexico newspaper: “It lit up the whole valley and disappeared after the events. the rock… I had to rub my eyes several times. Anderson also believes that the giant Bigfoot lurks near this town. A fantasy drawing of an alien. Theories The most controversial is the story of Phil Schneider, a former engineer and explosives expert who worked for the US government, who claims to have been involved in the construction of the alien base in Dulce, New Mexico since in 1979. Witnessing the presence of security forces guarding the base suspiciously, Schneider believed that the underground base he was involved in building was hiding a terrible secret, not simply an experimental base. Simple. Not only did Schneider claim to have seen underground structures, but he also said that he was injured and lost several fingers during the clash between the army and the aliens, which killed 60 people and ended with a mediation agreement. Schneider insists Dulce is just one of 129 other secret bases in the US. He and his supporters accuse the US government of using “black funds” for clandestine research at these bases. The “black budget” is classified as military spending, estimated to range from $50-80 billion a year. Schneider committed suicide in 1996. According to conspiracy theorists, the Dulce underground base is a seven-story complex located deep beneath Dulce, New Mexico. “Experts” believe that the seven-story base is 7 miles (3.2km) deep in the ground, and the central structure is built to swell in the center of the base. Each floor is used for specific research – from mind control over humans to genetic experiments leading to alien hybridization, cloning, abduction, and body chip implantation. people. It is also home to human-animal hybrids, human-alien hybrids, and ultra-advanced technologies. Some diagrams even indicate that the Gray and Reptile aliens have their own homes, while those claiming to be staff warn that the 6th floor – “Nightmare Hall” – is the scariest place. They even say this is the site of alien wars. It is no coincidence that it is thought that the Dulce base also has many research centers located in states scattered throughout the United States such as Colorado, Nevada and Arizona. Even in Afghanistan and Russia. Description of the 7 floors of Dulce Base. Explanation from “Green Planet Project” One of the most detailed and elaborate documents on Dulce Base is the “Blue Planet Project”, which claims to be a collection of documents from people who have worked in the laboratories. In Dulce, the abductees were brought to the base, construction workers, National Security Agency (NSA) and CIA intelligence officers, as well as a number of scientists. UFOs. The document even warns: “This information is for those interested in the Dulce base. For your own protection, we advise you to exercise caution when studying this complex.” Dulce Base is a genetics lab connected to Los Alamos Airport by subway. Part of the research at Dulce is concerned with the effects of radiation on mutations and genetics of human, alien biological life-form entities. According to the document, groups of soldiers rotated in Dulce every summer, starting in 1947. The natives recalled that they also built a road leading directly to Dulce Base, and witnessed the trucks. in and out for a long time. This road was later blocked and destroyed. The sign on the truck read “Smith Corp.” and is interpreted as belonging to Paragosa Springs from Colorado. However, there is no company with this name, there is no record of it, and so it is increasingly believed that this is a secret project. With the aim of helping humans survive in the future, the Dulce Facility consists of its headquarters, security department, and several laboratories. The deeper you go, the higher the security. This is a multi-level complex with more than 3,000 cameras, in many security positions with different levels, especially the exit and the laboratory. There are over 100 secret exits, near and around Dulce. Many people have seen aliens around Archuleta Mesa and elsewhere south and east of Lake Dulce. Much of Dulce Base’s deep infrastructure is natural caverns. A witness who used to work at the facility (code CR-24 / ZM 35-File IV) with an “Ultra 7-B” license said: “There may be more than 7 floors, but I only know of 7. Most of all. aliens are taken to the 5th, 6th and 7th floors”. One notable detail that the document mentions is the statement of the Military Research and Development Corporation (Rand Corp) during a conference on underground infrastructures that read: “Like an airplane, Ships and cars allow humans to master the surface of the Earth, tunnels and drilling rigs allow people to access the underground world.” More than 650 people attended Rand’s 1959 symposium, with the majority being representatives of state-owned industrial companies such as General Electric, Hughes Aircraft Corporation, Sandia Corporation, Walsh Construction Company, Colorado School of Mines, AT&T , Northrop Corporation, Stanford Research, and Bechtel Corporation. Bechtel, a super-mysterious international corporation, was founded in 1898. Some have suggested that the business is an underground CIA organization and that the most important positions in the US government are run by former executives. Bechtel’s operations. Bechtel is also part of a network of connected regulatory systems that includes The Trilateral Commission and the Illuminati, among others. According to some conspiracy theories, centuries ago, the Earthlings, the organization more widely known as the Illuminati, made a deal with a race of aliens lurking inside the Earth. As early as 1933, the US government agreed to trade in animals and people in exchange for knowledge of advanced technologies, and gave them access to underground bases in the American West. Special forces have also been formed to deal with extraterrestrial beings. UFO sightings in the US have not stopped. It wasn’t until recently that the Pentagon acknowledged that Air Force footage of unidentified flying vehicles was real, while the Navy has drafted new guidelines for the public on how to report unidentified aircraft. when encountering these phenomena. Geraldine Julian, who claims to have seen UFOs since the 1960s, says: “Just go to the town of Dulce, whoever you talk to can tell you what they saw… It’s not just a story. Fairy tale. All of them are true, and I believe in all of them, because I have seen them with my own eyes.”

A cave that the ancient Romans thought was the gate to hell, so deadly that it killed all animals that came near, but at the same time did not harm the priests who led them.
A cave that the ancient Romans thought was the gate to hell, so deadly that it killed all animals that came near, but at the same time did not harm the priests who led them.

Millennia later, scientists believe they have figured out why – a dense cloud of carbon dioxide causes animals that breathe it to suffocate. Dating back 2,200 years, the cave was rediscovered by archaeologists from the University of Salento in 2011. Simulation image of Plutonium It was located in a city called Hierapolis in ancient Phrygia, in what is now Turkey, and was used for animal sacrifices, which were bulls led through Plutonium, or the Gate of Pluto, the ancient god of the underworld – by the purified priests. The purified priests are sacrificing bulls As the priests led the bulls in, people could sit on high chairs above and watch the smoke billowing from the gate killing the animals. “ This space was so full of fog and dense that one could hardly see the ground. Any animal that goes inside is met with instant death. I threw the sparrows in and they immediately took their last breath and fell. ” wrote the Greek historian Strabo (64 BC – 24 AD). A photo showing dead birds at the entrance to “Hell’s Gate” It was this phenomenon that alerted the archaeological team to the location of the cave. Birds flying too close to the mouth of the cave suffocated and fell – indicating that, thousands of years later, it is still as deadly as ever. The culprit is seismic activity underground, according to volcanologist Hardy Pfanz of the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, who led a study of the cave’s gas in 2018. A fissure runs deep inside. below the area emitting a large amount of volcanic carbon dioxide. Today’s Status of Plutonium The team measured carbon dioxide levels in the area connected to the cave, and found that the gas – slightly heavier than air – forms a layer 40 centimeters (15.75 inches) above the floor. They found that the gas is scattered by the Sun during the day, but it is most dangerous at dawn after a night of accumulation. Concentrations that reach above 50% at the bottom of the lake, about 35% at 10 cm, can even kill a person – but, above 40 cm, concentrations drop rapidly. During the day, there was still some carbon dioxide about 5 centimeters high, as evidenced by dead bugs found by the team on the floor of the site. And inside the cave, they estimate CO2 concentrations consistently range from 86 to 91 percent, as neither the Sun nor the wind can enter. An inscription at the site indicates the hell gods Pluto and Kore. (Francesco D’Andria / University of Salento) The team notes in their paper that there is a strong touristic element to the place. Tourists could purchase small animals and birds that they could throw down for sacrifice, and on holidays larger animals were sacrificed by priests. “While the bull was standing in the lake with its mouth and nostrils 60 to 90 cm high, the large, mature priests (galli) always stood upright in the lake, ‘ the team wrote in their 2018 paper. Spectators will see large, strong bulls that can’t stand the smoke for a few minutes, while the priests remain strong and proud – a testament to the power of the gods and priests to perform. present to the people at that time. However, researchers believe that the priests were well aware of the characteristics of the cave and surrounding arena, and were able to conduct major sacrifices at dawn or dusk in the early days. Quiet day for maximum effect. Current status of the area They may also burrow their heads inside or into caves during midday ceremonies to demonstrate their abilities, holding their breath to endure. But the presence of oil lamps also suggests that priests approached the cave at night, according to the researcher who found it, Francesco D’Andria. Currently, the ancient city of Hierapolis still becomes one of the attractions attracting thousands of tourists.

Stanford University researchers have combined artificial intelligence software with a device, called a brain-computer interface, implanted in the brain of a person with total paralysis. The software can decode information from the brain to quickly convert the man’s thoughts into writing on the computer screen.

The software helps to record the thoughts in the brain into writing on the computer. The combination of mental effort and modern technology has allowed a motionless man (T5) to communicate by text at a speed comparable to that of healthy colleagues texting. on smartphone. Study participant (T5) almost lost all mobility below the neck because of a spinal cord injury in 2007. The scientists placed two brain-computer interface chips, each about the same size. an aspirin pill, on the left side of T5’s brain. Each chip has 100 electrodes that pick up signals from trigger neurons in the motor cortex, an area on the outermost surface of the brain that governs hand movements. Those neural signals are sent over wires to a computer, where artificial intelligence algorithms decode the signal and infer the T5’s intended hand and finger movements. Algorithms were designed in Stanford’s Neural Prosthetic Translation Lab. T5 generated text at a rate of about 18 words per minute (the average person can say about 23 words per minute on a smartphone). Even, T5 then reached a record of 40 characters per minute. The study was published online May 12, 2021 in the journal Nature. It offers hope to hundreds of thousands of Americans and millions around the globe, who have lost the ability to use their upper limbs or speak due to spinal cord injury, stroke or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Chest patting is a means of communication However, recently a new study has revealed that gorilla clapping behavior is not quite as we know it. Research published in the journal Scientific Reports concluded that gorilla clapping was in fact a means of non-verbal communication that “encoded” their competitiveness instead of boasting of strength. The gorilla clapping itself represents an interesting kind of communication unlike a human. It is not really a voice but an act of inclination to show off visible and audible physical strength. To draw conclusions, the researchers sought to record the sound of the chest beating using photometry. With this method, scientists do not need to get close to the gorilla because the extremely powerful male monkeys pose many dangers in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. However, even using photometry, scientists still need to be in the right place and at the right time to catch chest beats from gorillas. The results showed that sounds had lower frequencies in large male mountain gorillas, while younger males had higher frequency sounds. Where low-frequency sounds travel further than high-frequency sounds, which means that larger males can be more formidable competitors. This is useful for males of similar or smaller size who can use the information to decide if it is worthwhile against the competitor or to step back. In previous research conducted by the same group of researchers found that the larger male mountain gorillas not only were socially dominant, they were also more likely to reproduce successfully than the offspring. the male is smaller. With female monkeys, they will also collect information from the male monkey’s chest pounding sound to decide on a worthy mate. “The gorilla’s chest banging is one of the iconic sounds of the animal kingdom, so it’s great that we can prove that gorilla’s body size has been encoded in the displays. This spectacular performance, “said Edward Wright, author of the study from the Planck Institute of Evolutionary Anthropology. Critically endangered species on the Red List Gorilla is a genus of primates belonging to the family of humans, herbivores living in the jungles of Africa, the largest of the extant primates. Gorillas are divided into two species (there can be 4 to 5 more subspecies). The DNA of the gorilla is the same as that of humans 98% -99%. They are very closely related to humans after only 2 species of chimpanzees. This primate has a massive body. Gorillas are 1.7–2 m tall when standing upright and weigh 180–200 kg. These animals usually walk on all fours, although they can stand on two legs. Gorilla lives in the tropical and subtropical forests of Africa. Gorillas move with their knuckles, although they can sometimes stand upright with food or on defense. Wild adult gorillas weigh 135 to 180 kg (298 to 397 lb) while females are usually half as much as 68–113 kg (150–249 lb) males. Adult males are 1.7 to 1.8 m (5.6 to 5.9 ft) tall, with an arm span of 2.3 to 2.6 m (7.5 to 8.5 ft). Females have a shorter arm span. The adult male gorilla is known as the “silver back” due to the silver hair on its back. Occasionally, a silverback greater than 1.8 meters and 230 kg is recorded in the wild. The obese gorilla in captivity 270 kg. Gorillas live in groups under the command of the strongest and most powerful male. It is the male’s duty to lead and protect the whole herd from being attacked by wild animals. The gorilla’s most dangerous enemy is the very ferocious leopard. When threatened, the male will stand upright and pound his stomach with two hands to warn him before fighting. The gorilla is known as a powerful beast with a large appearance, much stronger than a human, powerful and intelligent hands and a gorilla punch that can make everything facing a deformation. . Despite its massive and massive body, Gorilla has an average running speed of about 40 km / h. All species (and subspecies) of the gorilla are listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. Now, more than 100,000 western lowland gorillas are thought to exist in the wild, with 4,000 in zoos; The eastern lowland gorilla has a population of less than 5,000 in the wild and 24 in the zoo. The mountain gorilla is the most endangered species, with an estimated population of 880 remaining in the wild and no species in the zoo.

Icon Alan Turing Icon Isaac Newton Icon Blaise Pascal The correct answer is answer A: The Bank of England (BoE) has revealed the design of a £ 50 note featuring mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing, who has made great contributions to Britain in The World. Second battle thanks to the ability to break the code. This new 50-pound ($ 69) note will be in circulation on June 23, exactly on Alan Turing’s birthday. On the note will be a picture of Alan Turing, mathematical formulas from an article he wrote in 1936, laying the foundation for modern computer science and engineering drawings for machine use. to decode the Enigma. In addition, there is a quote from Mr. Turing about the rise of artificial intelligence: “This is just a foreshadow of things to come and only a shadow of what is about to happen”. Alan Turing was born in 1912, the son of a civil servant. At the age of 13, he was sent to Sherborne School – a large boarding school in Dorset. Here, Turing researched and implemented his scientific ideas – such as the theory of relativity – far beyond the school curriculum. After graduating, Turing won a scholarship to King’s College at Cambridge University and obtained an excellent degree in Mathematics. Not long after, he was awarded a scholarship at King’s College to continue his research work. In 1936, Turing published a paper that is today recognized as the foundation of computer science. He and his team of mathematicians succeeded in decoding the Nazi secret information. For that merit, in 1946, he was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE). 2. In 1952, at the age of 40, Alan Turing became the first to initiate in the field of artificial intelligence. However, at the height of his career, this genius mathematician was convicted of homosexuality. After being accused, he was not allowed to use the technical facilities of Bletchley Park Crypto Center (UK), where he and his associates worked during World War II. To avoid imprisonment, he agreed to be “chemically castrated”. In 1954, Alan Turing committed suicide by biting on an apple laced with cyanide poison. At that time, he was only 42 years old. More than 50 years later, in 2009, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, representing the British government, officially apologized for his conviction of Turing. A $ 100 note with a portrait is not the President of the United States? Icon It’s correct Icon Wrong The correct answer is Answer A: Although Benjamin Franklin was never the President of the United States, his portrait is still printed on the most commonly used banknote in the world. According to the US website History.org, this is very special because Benjamin Franklin has never been the President of the United States and in American history only two people who are not US presidents have appeared on US banknotes. . The other was the first US Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton. He served as Minister from 1789-1795 under President George Washington and is considered the “chief architect” for the US economic system. This is also the main reason for his portrait to appear on the $ 10 note – the highest denomination note in America. Meanwhile, a portrait of Benjamin Franklin appears on the $ 100 note because he was a very important person in the early days of America. He is also one of the seven “founding fathers” of America (6 others are John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and George Washington). Along with Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Hamilton, John Jay has never been President of the United States. The highest position that Mr. John Jay holds is Governor of New York State. Benjamin Franklin is also particularly respected for his dedication to American independence. He was the one who signed the Franco-American Allied Treaty and was the one who persuaded the French Government to support the US against British colonialism. In addition, Benjamin Franklin is also a negotiator on loans and trade with European countries. Benjamin Franklin is the only “founding father” to sign the three most important documents to bring independence to the United States: the Treaty of the Franco-American Alliance, the Treaty of Paris and the Declaration of Independence. He is also one of the writers to sign the US Constitution. Not only is a prominent politician, Benjamin Franklin is also a renowned businessman and scientist. He is one of the best known Americans in Europe in the 18th century. 7. The biggest denomination in Japan is 10,000 yen, printed from 1984 until now is a photo of? Icon A Prince Icon An ordinary citizen The correct answer is answer B: A 10,000 yen note was printed in 1958 with the Crown Prince Shotoku (聖 徳 太子) picture. From 1984 until now it was printed with a person named Fukuzawa Yukichi- a commoner. Mr. Fukuzawa was born into a family of low-class boxers in Osaka. He is the youngest son in a family of 5 brothers. His father died when he was only 1 year old. Fukuzawa’s father had no status in society, so he had a hard life. Fukuzawa crab personality is also greatly affected by this. At the age of 19, obeying the invitation of his brother, Fukuzawa went to Nagasaki to study. Back then he wanted to learn about Dutch guns. Later, he became a disciple of one of the first people to impart gun culture from the West named Yamamoto Shigetomo. While serving his master every day, he strives to learn about guns and other Western cultures. Then at the age of 23, Yukichi was ordered to go to Edo. Here he opened a school of Western culture. That school’s name is Keio. Currently Keio University has more than 30,000 students studying, but at that time there were only about 3.4 students. In his first year of Meiji (1868), he changed the school’s name to “Meiji Gijuku”. Gijuku is meant to nurture people to contribute to society. He changed this name to make his goals clear. In the 5th year of Meiji (1872), he produced the famous book “Study Promotion”. This is also one of the most influential books at that time. 8. The paper with the largest denomination in the world: 100,000 USD with the picture of US President? Icon President Woodrow Wilson Icon President James Madison Icon President Ulysses S. Grant The correct answer is answer A: The note with the largest denomination in the world: $ 100,000 is also known as a “gold money” used only by the Federal Reserve Bank and never publicly circulated. In fact, $ 100,000 is not considered legal if used outside of Fed transactions. If you’re holding a sheet, chances are it’s worth more than $ 1 million for collectors. And the person who appeared on this six-digit note was President Woodrow Wilson. Wilson was elected the 28th President of the United States in 1912. He has shown great success leading Congress with the Democratic majority to pass important laws and legal documents, including Federal Trade Commission, Clayton Antitrust Law, Underwood Law, Federal Farm Borrowing Law and most notably the Federal Reserve System.

In just 1 month, the price of ‘black gold’ in Vietnam increased dramatically 4 times after 2 years of being at the bottom.
Vietnamese pepper (such as black gold) is present in 100 countries and territories around the world, accounting for a market share of nearly 60% of the global supply.

After 2 years of sinking at the bottom, pepper in Vietnam suddenly went up by a price fever.

According to the News on agricultural, forestry and fishery markets According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in March 2021, Vietnam’s pepper export turnover was estimated to reach 30,000 tons, worth $ 86 million, up 123.4% in volume and 120.9% in value compared to the previous year. February 2021.

Vietnam’s pepper prices suddenly went up by a price fever.

According to data from the Import and Export Department, in 2020, Vietnam’s pepper export volume accounts for 59% of the global pepper export market share with 285,292 tons, an increase of 1.2% in volume, but a decrease of 6.8%. in value over the same period in 2019.

The second largest producer of black pepper in Brazil reached 89,756 tons, accounting for 18% of the market share; Indonesia holds 11% market share with export volume of 51,718 tons; India holds 12% market share, reaching 15,924 tons.

Notably, the price of pepper for raw materials in the country suddenly fluctuated in price. Within 1 month, the potential price of this commodity increased more than 4 times, from 17,500 VND / kg soared to 73,000 VND / kg (in the Ba Ria – Vung Tau market).

Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said pepper prices in the provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc were all at 72,000 VND / kg, 71,000 VND / kg, 70,000 VND / kg. , 74,000 VND / kg and 73,000 VND / kg.

The cause of pepper price fever, the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) said that the supply decreased while the consumer demand was prosperous.

In the first half of April, black pepper prices continued to remain stable at VND 70,000-74,000 / kg.

Compared to the same period in 2020, the current price of black pepper is twice as high (only reaching 35,000-37,000 VND / kg). Meanwhile, the price of white pepper was 108,000 VND / kg, much higher than 57,000 VND / kg in the same period in 2020.

Talking with reporters Industry and TradeMr. Hoang Phuoc Binh – Standing Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of the Chu Se Pepper Association (Gia Lai) – said that he is currently in the political service of Vietnamese pepper, businesses buy and sell pepper in the market. The world is focusing on Vietnam to purchase.

The “trigger” jump in pepper prices, said Mr. Hoang Phuoc Binh, there is a high possibility that the current pepper price is both real but also virtual. Because in addition to pepper purchased by export enterprises, there are a number of customers outside the industry who are Vietnamese who want to buy pepper for speculation.

Before the fever of raw pepper prices, farmers in pepper growing capitals expect prices to exceed 80,000 VND / kg and possibly increase to 100,000 VND / kg by the end of this year because supplies are plummeting. Therefore, many people have the mentality of “hugging” the goods, waiting for the “peak” to sell.

According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), the “shock” rise in pepper prices makes the pepper market in Vietnam difficult to predict, forcing importers to consider when sourcing the goods.

According to a survey of VFA, by 2021 Vietnam’s pepper output will decrease around 25% compared to the previous crop.

An H-6K off Taiwan in 2016.

On March 26, 20 Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLAAF) fighters departed from mainland China and approached Taiwan on two axes.

While most of Taiwan’s defense exploration aircraft were in the southwestern part of the island, four H-6K cruise missile bombers and one Y-8 support aircraft continued to fly towards Southeast through the Ba Si Strait separating Taiwan from the Philippines and then turns north, to an area in Taiwan’s eastern international airspace.

In other words, PLAAF bombers have surrounded Taiwan – a move that flyers Global Times China’s considered capable of deciding during wartime. “From that position, the PLA could not only attack military facilities on the eastern side of the island, but block the island completely.”

But it is far from concluded that the PLAAF can easily do this in combat. First, enemies – Taiwanese and American forces with missile batteries, air defense fighters and missile warships – must be taken into account.

Second, it is not clear whether PLAAF crews possess the skills and support necessary to reliably and safely fly thousands of kilometers across the vast Pacific Ocean.

Land combat was difficult. Air combat on the ocean is even more difficult. On the water, navigation, communication, and coordination – not to mention effective combat with an experienced, high-tech enemy – have been a big deal.

“Although the PLAAF is increasing the number of flights at sea, they acknowledge the challenges associated with training to fly in the far seas,” authors Kenneth Allen and Cristina Garafola wrote in a survey. newly funded by the US Air Force in terms of the history and organization of the Chinese Air Force.

Allen and Garafola cited a 2017 interview. Chinese pilots from the PLAAF’s Southern Command have discussed some of the issues their air force is trying to solve to improve their capabilities. combat ability in “far sea”.

Communication stories at the top of the list. “Due to limited communication measures during long-distance training, comprehensive support measures – including regular radars, command and air communications aircraft, naval ships and satellites communication – needs to be better integrated, ”writes Allen and Garafola.

They continued, “Compared to flying on land, training at sea is more likely to deviate from the designed flight path.” High-difficulty subjects related to offshore training pose new challenges to the technical and tactical abilities of many pilots. These subjects include attacking sea targets, aerial combat against different types of aircraft on land and water, aerial refueling and combat with enemy navies.

In particular, on physical challenges, flight times longer than four hours often lead to pilot fatigue.

Weather conditions during marine training are unpredictable – and gathering weather related data remains a challenge.

Long-distance search and rescue operations remain a challenging task for the PLAAF due to limited search and rescue equipment, low night vision and complex weather conditions. trash.

Long-distance flight training continues to challenge PLAAF’s maintenance assistance capabilities. Many incidents related to maritime cannot just take the option on land but apply it.

The PLAAF knows that they have water problems. “The high seas drills will become part of regular training,” said Dinh Lai Hang, a PLAAF lieutenant general, in 2017.

The PLAAF is “gradually expanding its long-distance training operations. Weapons, equipment, communications systems, supplies and aviation search and rescue skills have to keep up with mission requirements, ”added General Dinh.

The fact that the Chinese air force safely conducted sky missions near Taiwan in March could be a hint that its sea flight training efforts are beginning to succeed.

Of course, performing long-range, above-water missions in peacetime was one thing. Performing that task while someone is shooting at you is completely different.
