The villa on the 500m2 plot of land of Mr. Hoang Cuong (Da Lat, Lam Dong) is reminiscent of classic and romantic houses in England.
Farmhouse architectural style is quite popular in the UK and is always loved by many people for its rustic, elegant and romantic beauty. So is Mr. Hoang Cuong’s family (Da Lat City, Lam Dong).

In early 2020, when starting to build a villa 3km from Da Lat market, he and his sister discussed with the architect to choose this style. The feature of the English-style villa is the wide and high glass door system. The wall is covered with natural stone, ensuring durability over time, suitable for Da Lat’s climate. The villa was completed in November 2020, total construction time is about 10 months. The project consists of 4 floors (basement, ground floor, upstairs, attic), each floor area from 150-200m2. The architect is a family acquaintance, and at the same time he hires an additional technical design engineer. Outside the villa, the owner uses natural stone for cladding. The advantage of this material is that it is durable and beautiful over time. Warm white is the main color that helps to handle light well, creating a pleasant feeling for a space with lots of glass. The main color is white, using pink, gray and blue colors of the interior as accents. Hoang Cuong added that, to overcome the disadvantages of a house with many glass doors, he uses vacuum-tempered double-glazed box glass, which is soundproof and insulated, so it ensures the temperature stability inside the house. The entire interior of the house is designed and imported with simple but luxurious and eye-catching golden details. Full of sunlight, bringing warmth to the house in a cold country. The style of modern farmhouse villas puts the family element first and the common living space is always given the highest priority.
The world’s tallest bridge: Millau Viaduct (France) took 17 years to build, with the aim of solving traffic jams on the route from Millau through the south of France to tourist destinations in Spain. The highest point of the bridge is up to 343 m, making this the tallest bridge in the world, more than many buildings like the Chrysler Building in New York, USA. With a body located at 565 m above the ground, this is the highest bridge in the world. The reason for this is that the surrounding mountains are filled with limestone, which is brittle and unstable. To avoid caves and cracks, the bridge engineer had to gradually raise the height, up to the current position. Also known as Kazarma, this 22-meter stone bridge spans the River Meles and was part of an old military road system. This ancient Greek relic is still very sturdy and safe for pedestrians. The bridge over the Saint John River, connecting Hartlan with Somerville, was built in the 19th century. With a wooden frame and pillars inside, the roof protects the bridge from the effects of the weather. In the old days when horse-drawn carriages were the main means of transportation, as with every covered bridge in New Brunswick, Hartland was a “proposal”: Horse trainers stopped in the middle of the bridge and waited for the couple to kiss, then Continue to the other end of the bridge. Charlie Low (25 years old) and Dale Comley (29 years old), from Bristol (UK) used to be normal office workers like everyone else. While Charlie works in digital marketing, Dale is a design engineer.

In January 2019, bored with the repeating tedious life every day, the young couple decided to buy a van for £ 8,800 (about $ 12,200), quit the office to travel, according to Metro . Charlie Low and Dale Comley buy cars and renovate their own homes to realize their dream of travel. The couple spent more than a year renovating the original car into a mobile home where the two can rest or work remotely while traveling. “We decided to live in the car and travel together because we were tired of office life. Because we both love moving, we want to create our own adventures, “Charlie said. Initially, repairing a car into a fully equipped mobile home is not easy, from installing windows, partitions to kitchenware, toilets. The couple have tinkered and made everything by themselves. “It was a real challenge and we learned a lot more skills.” All repairs cost the couple an additional £ 6,700 ($ 9,300). Even so, the two are very satisfied with the results. Small but fully furnished mobile house. “Our kitchens have gas stoves, fridges and even sinks. Due to the epidemic, the lovebirds cannot go too far ahead. The two explored several locations in the UK and hoped to travel around Europe together when the situation stabilized, restrictions lifted.

Dang Huy Hoang (born 1990, Hanoi) is an automotive design engineer who graduated from art school in the US. Not only in Vietnam, but also in the international Lego Association, Huy Hoang is also quite famous for owning a collection of up to thousands of models. The 31-year-old engineer’s Lego sets are of different sizes. He even has a hobby of collecting rare Lego models, produced in the 60s. Hoang began to learn and know about this hobby in 2012, while studying in the US. At first, Hoang bought each set with specific assembly instructions, after a period of in-depth research, he began to design his own work. Up to now, he owns about 70% of Lego sets produced from 1989-2000, in the future, he will aim to collect the whole set. Hoang also buys and stores limited edition models that are no longer manufactured in the world. His passion for jigsaw puzzles dates back to when Hoang was a child. Now, besides professional work, Lego is a great world for him to unleash his creativity. “On the surface, these are just incredibly simple assemblies, but with almost limitless possibilities. How it is made depends on your creativity. This is a healthy way of entertainment, preventing me from burying my head on the phone “. In addition to the available models, from the beginning of 2020, Hoang began to arrange Lego to recreate the scene of the village, the Vietnamese temple, the childhood house, the old town of Hanoi … In order to create a unique character for the collection, Hoang took ideas from real scenes and things in the city – where he was born and raised. All scenes are exquisitely miniature and colorful. For example, in order to recreate a boat, Hoang had to learn, collect some actual images, and calculate the proportions of each part. Then, he researched Lego’s available piece, choosing to experiment with a part of the boat to choose the optimal option. On average, Hoang takes about 2 months to sketch and find the right pieces for each work. After that, it takes about 2-3 months to assemble and complete the project. “To have a work created by me, the most important factor is to decide the proportions of the product. After choosing the proportions, I can choose the pieces to assemble the ingredients.” During more than 8 years of playing, his most satisfied product is a cyclo. This is also one of the products that gives Hoang the most emotion and effort. “The cyclo is assembled from more than 1,000 parts. To simulate real life, it takes me about 3 months, searching and collecting the pieces. Also, the cyclo cushion and cover, I have to ordered from a 1998 girls’ Lego collection. “ The Ha Thanh boy revealed that the cost of this hobby is quite expensive, but he liked it so he could not stop. “Just like some of you like shoes, bags, plants, pets … I like Lego. Once I have self-control, I can balance my expenses so that I can play without bothering. Especially, the most important thing is that I always receive support from my wife and family “. Engineer Ha Thanh said that it is very difficult to preserve these models. Must have anti-dust glass cabinets, to the details in the box, classified according to each color group and avoid exposure to sunlight. The puzzle pieces are clearly divided to facilitate inventory and extraction when needed. In the future, Hoang wishes to expand the space into a gallery or museum for his collection.
