Audiobooks (audiobooks) have been developed in Vietnam for many years, mostly non-copyrighted content shared on app stores or social networks.

However, since the beginning of 2020, the Vietnamese audiobook market has witnessed the participation of young, but ambitious companies who want to develop a copyrighted Vietnamese audiobook platform. Audiobooks on Voiz FM are all copyrighted content. Photo: FB Voiz FM. In early 2020, the Voiz FM platform was born. Built by technology joint stock company WeWe, Voiz FM targets the $2 billion market in Southeast Asia. Voiz FM receives investment from 500 Startup Vietnam fund, and has copyright cooperation from book companies such as First News – Tri Viet, Bach Viet, SaigonBooks… Up to now, Voiz FM has nearly 180 thousand subscribers, an impressive growth compared to the number of 100,000 users announced at the end of 2020. The total number of titles on this system includes about 230 books. structure, approximately 600 non-fiction books, and a variety of podcast content. Besides Voiz FM, around April 2020, another audiobook application entered the market. The application name is Fonos, invested by Hustle Fund, with the companion of Shark Thai Van Linh. Not less than Voiz FM, Fonos quickly signed exclusive rights with a series of big book companies such as Nha Nam, Alphabooks, Thai Ha… to adapt their content to the platform. Image promoting the audiobook Finding Yourself in the Post-Childhood World. Photo: FB Fonts. Up to now, Fonos has about 100,000 users, along with a content database of more than 150 titles from major domestic book companies. Books on Fonos are all read by reputable and experienced voice-talents. It is not difficult to see that the content on Fonos and Voiz FM is exclusive, without interference. If you are an audiobook lover in Vietnam, you will need to register for an account on both platforms to fully enjoy these contents. Developing copyrighted digital content is the future of the publishing industry in the world, and Vietnam will certainly have to follow this path. In Vietnam, it is still very difficult to convince readers to spend money on audiobook content in particular, and digital content in general, because it is too easy to access pirated content sources. Hopefully in the future, there will be more support from management agencies to promote young units, such as Fonos, Voiz FM, to be confident in their activities.

YouTube has officially announced a $ 100 million fund to reward content creators with short videos.
This investment comes as platforms are racing to attract young creators who are building huge audiences every day. The potential to exploit and monetize digital content in the form of short videos is still great, especially as viewers increasingly prefer humorous and interesting short clips.

TikTok was the first platform that started the short clip trend and was quickly copied by other social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube. As the market for short video features became more competitive, platforms launched funds to reward creators as a way to engage users. YouTube says the new fund will pay thousands of creators each month whose YouTube Shorts video gets a lot of engagement from viewers. YouTube also adds that the fund will launch in the coming months and pay creators this year and 2022. But YouTube isn’t the only big guy with a bonus feature for content creators. In July last year, TikTok launched a fund for creators worth more than $ 1 billion over three years to entice users. Meanwhile, Snapchat announced a $ 1 million daily reward for users with top engaging content on Spotlight. According to Reuters
