It is one of the most famous shopping addresses in the world: La Samaritaine in Paris. The legendary department store was lavishly renovated for 16 years. Today it opened its doors again.

From Stefanie Markert, ARD studio Paris

“O lala!” – Emmanuel Macron is visibly impressed by the sight: Gustave Eiffel’s gray-blue iron staircase spanning five floors with 16,000 gold leaves has been originally restored. Many of the 1700 employees of the department store stand on the landing and applaud the president. He accepted Bernard Arnault’s invitation. The billionaire and boss of the luxury goods company LVMH owns the Samaritaine. He renovated the building complex for 750 million euros and is now attracting customers: “Perhaps you can also shop on the Internet. But there you can’t touch the products, you can’t see them, and you can’t have lunch in such a wonderful atmosphere.”

A water pump as namesake

In the Samaritaine, this is most spectacularly done in the “Voyage” restaurant under the historic glass dome, surrounded by a 115-meter-long peacock frieze in Art Nouveau style. But actually shopping is hip here, emphasizes Head of Marketing Nathalie Montaldier: “You are on the fourth floor – all women’s shoes, from sneakers to luxury. The special thing: when you try them on you have a fantastic view of the Gothic cathedral Saint-Germain-L’Auxerrois . A unique experience.” In 1870 Ernest Cognacq founded the Samaritaine. Before that he had sold fabrics on the bridge next door – the famous Pont Neuf -, then rented a corner café and expanded his business little by little. At that time the first Parisian water pump stood on the Pont Neuf, and it was called “la Samaritaine” – the Samaritan woman. The pump gave the store its name. Today, historical commercials flicker there on old TVs:

Monsieur wants something?

Yes, nails.

We dont have.

An alligator clip.

Neither clamp nor crocodile.

Haven’t you read the name of our store?

No.

This is not the Samaritaine.

Ah, I see – you can find everything in the Samaritaine.

In the Parisian luxury department store you will find one thing above all: French “savoir vivre”. Image: Stefanie Markert / ARD-Studio Paris

A hymn to Paris

The house no longer lives up to this claim, says manager Eleonore de Boysson, but: “You can find all of Paris in the Samaritaine. Its brands and artists. It’s like a promenade with surprises. A visit should trigger a new Parisian feeling.” And convey the French way of life. The house bakes its own croissants, personalizes champagne bottles and sells cosmetics from collapsible crates that resemble those of the bouquinists in front of the door. Mosaics are reminiscent of the Parisian passages and yellow lanterns of the street lighting in the past. Parisian flair en passant.

Richest European The luxurious life of Monsieur Arnault

Bernard Arnault has created a luxury empire with LVMH. The French are known as the “wolf in cashmere fur”.

The luxury department store is a hymn to the city. It offers the largest beauty department in the European Union – 600 brands and products from three-euro hand gel to perfume in a giant crystal bottle for 150,000 euros. Up to five million customers are expected each year. Parisians, French and of course tourists. On the lower floor, the head of marketing points to a long rolling carpet like at the airport: “There was direct access from the parking lot to the department store. We have redesigned this tunnel. This is where the bus tourists will arrive.”

The complex includes a luxury hotel with a 1000 square meter suite. Even the smallest room there costs 1500 euros per night. But there is also a day nursery and almost 100 social housing. Samaritaine General Director Jean Jacques Guiony explains: “That is the law. When building, around 25 percent of the area has to be reserved for social housing. We were free to move it inside in the Rue de Rivoli building.” The tenants look out over a green, roofed courtyard with the department store’s wellness oasis. The Samaritaine is open 364 days a year. It is only closed on May 1st

Specifically, in addition to officials, civil servants, public employees, and employees in the agency, all guests coming to contact work are required to install and turn on the application to install the Bluezone proximity detection application before go to work. This rule only excludes those who do not use smartphones. Bluezone application is the most effective tool to trace people suspected of being infected with Covid-19. Photo: Trong Dat At the entrance of offices and units under the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Department of Informatization recommends that you paste a QR Code to install the Bluezone application at a recognizable location to support users. Guests who come to work at agencies and headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications also need to make an electronic medical declaration. The declaration will be made on 1 of 3 applications Bluezone, NCOVI, Vietnam Health Declaration or on website tokhaiyte.vn. The paper medical declaration will only be applied to those who do not have a smartphone. In addition, agencies and units in the Ministry of Information and Communications have also been advised to manage people entering and leaving the office by scanning QR codes. To do this, units need to register for a “quarantine point” and get their QR code at website tokhaiyte.vn. This QR code will be printed and pasted at a recognizable location at the entrance of each agency or unit. Scanning QR codes is a measure to save users’ epidemiological milestones. Guests coming to contact business will be forced to scan a QR code for quarantine using one of the 3 applications Bluezone, NCOVI, Vietnam Health Declaration. In the event that after scanning the quarantine QR code, the application says that the user has not made a medical declaration or the declaration has expired, they will be forced to make a medical declaration and re-scan the code. At the entrance to the offices, the Department of Informatization also recommends arranging a department to check and monitor the scanning of quarantine QR codes of employees and visitors to contact for work. Using the Bluezone tracing app, electronic medical declarations and scanning QR codes for quarantine are just 3 of the 5 anti-epidemic solutions with technology proposed by the Ministry of Information and Communications to localities. Previously, sharing at the current news at 19:00 on May 26 of Vietnam Television, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung said that renewing the approach to technology in Covid-19 prevention and control is a combination balance between “defence” and “attack”. In terms of technology, “attack” is the mandatory use of some key applications to prevent Covid-19, instead of just recommending as before. If before, data was distributed by application, now data must be managed centrally. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung. The Ministry of Information and Communications has proposed mandatory use of Bluezone application. Workers in industrial parks, factories and enterprises are required to make medical declarations. People using smartphones are required to use an application to identify close contact when going to a public place, where there are many people. Public places and offices must control people coming, going, leaving and entering by scanning QR codes. The fourth measure is to use technology to support the monitoring of people in medical isolation. According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung, turning on Bluetooth and using the Bluezone application when going to public places will help users protect themselves, protect the community, assist in zoning out the epidemic, and quickly trace. When that happens, it will also help isolate high-risk people, rather than everyone. For agencies and organizations, effective disease prevention will help agencies, organizations, factories and enterprises maintain normal production and business activities. Trong Dat

Here are 3 things that should not be seen when entering the house lest the whole family have bad luck.

Not only the entrance, the main door is also considered a place to charge air and regulate energy sources, so it is necessary to pay attention first to get the harmony between the 3 elements of aesthetics, function and special. is feng shui. In particular, “Three No Kien” is a term that refers to three things to avoid when entering the house, including: “Opening the door of the apple ant”, “Opening the door to the ant toilet” and “Opening the door to the glass ant”. So what exactly does “apple, toilet, glass” refer to here? We invite you to follow the following explanation of feng shui expert Phung Phuong: Enter the door to meet the kitchen In the book Duong Trach Tam Coc, it is written: “Opening the door to the apple, the money is wasted”. “Apple” here is the kitchen. In feng shui, the owner of the kitchen is about fortune and health. Opening the door and seeing the kitchen right away (ie the main door and the kitchen are in a straight line) is considered a bad way of feng shui, also known as the “revealing apple” error. Such a kitchen will not accumulate gas, affecting the health and fortune of the family. In this case, the kitchen needs to be covered with a bar or wooden wall. Enter the door to meet the toilet immediately “Xi” is the toilet. Open the main door and see the toilet door, the energy from outside, no matter how good, is polluted, creating unclean gas that spreads throughout the indoor atmosphere. This flow of energy is the beginning to lead into the home. Once, the watershed is not good, the end of the source or the middle of the source, especially other spaces, will not be good, leading to bad luck for the homeowner. It is best to make the toilet door sideways to avoid this closeness. Another effective option is to place feng shui items for town. Enter the door and meet the mirror right away “Glass” here refers to a mirror. Using decorative mirrors in the house should be noted not to be located opposite the main door to the house. Feng shui from ancient times to the past has a unified concept – the door is where luck and fortune come in. Meanwhile, the mirror is a place to attract luck (no matter good or bad). Therefore, when the mirror is opposite the door, everything will be sucked back out (of course, the mirror mentioned here is just a mirror, not the spherical and bagua mirrors). Besides, placing a mirror in front of the door will create a door-to-door position (real door and mirror door) This is a very bad position for the feelings of family members. * Information is for reference only.

Unfortunately, building houses of this type did not present her with enough creative challenge, as the work often comes with limited funds and safe designs. So when she started designing and building her own house, she didn’t choose the safe option. Instead, she chose a very distinctive and modern approach to her new home. challenges Claude decided to design a house based on metal containers at sea. With this decision, she didn’t exactly choose the easiest path. In fact, she encountered a lot of obstacles in the process. For example, it is difficult to find an engineer with the resources and ability to cut containers and install doors and windows in them. She was rejected by four engineers before finding one willing to work with her. Luckily, she finally found someone who dared to take on this project. And the results are amazing! Her house turned out to be very beautiful and it is also eco-friendly. It looks very modern and you can hardly see the containers, but there are some special wall pieces that she still wants to keep the same. Living room https://tinhtexaydung.petrotimes.vn/ The living area looks sleek, modern, and if it weren’t for the wall behind the sofa, you’d never think the house was made of containers. https://tinhtexaydung.petrotimes.vn/ Kitchen https://tinhtexaydung.petrotimes.vn/ The look of the kitchen matches the rest of the house: modern, metallic and minimalist.

According to feng shui, just by arranging or arranging the house reasonably can help homeowners ‘welcome’ their fortune, improve their health, and facilitate their career paths.

According to Feng Shui expert Song Ha, the palace is one of the three palaces that plays an important role in determining the wealth, property and prosperity of the owner. Therefore, many people are extremely interested in activating the palace of wealth, especially in this year of the Tan Suu 2021. However, not everyone knows how to catch the destiny of heaven and earth to increase wealth, health, luck and happiness. For more details, please refer to the following information that expert Song Ha shares. Decorative standard feng shui doors Should open doors at least once a day to welcome positive energy Doors are one of the important elements of home feng shui, helping to create a smooth and convenient house. Because this is considered the “welcome point” of rich good aura to the owner. If the door is in the Good direction, you should decorate it in accordance with the Destiny and the energy of Cung Tai Loc such as installing better capacity bulbs, hanging wind chimes, painting the door color, cleaning the house clean. will every day … To invite good gases into the house. Every day you should open the door at least 1 time to “invite” positive energy, circulating the air currents. Air is circulated and circulated regularly, bringing health to family members and activating fortune and luck for each person. Choose the right feng shui color for the living room Living room with bright colors To activate the Tai Loc Palace for your family, you should not ignore the selection of the right color for the living room. The living room is the place where the whole family gathers and welcomes you to the house, so the colors that are too colorful or too colorful will not be suitable for the Tai Loc Palace. You should choose bright and pleasant colors that are suitable for Cung Tai Loc, suitable for Meets with the owner. Limit too much wind drafts into the house to diffuse air The styles of house architecture today often aim to have many windows to help the house ventilate and cool. However, it is necessary to allocate windows appropriately for the house to avoid excessive draft winds, because in feng-shui, strong and direct winds will bring killing intent, not only wasting resources but also affecting energy. healthy homeowner. Always clean the house neatly to invite talent According to old beliefs, a tidy and clean house not only gives family members a sense of relaxation, psychological comfort but also is a factor to preserve the prosperity of positive energy. So from now on, you need to pay attention to neatly arrange unnecessary objects into the closet such as shoes, clothes, children’s toys … so that your house looks decent, ready to welcome your destiny. Good. In particular, the house number plate should be designed to be simple, easy to recognize and should be cleaned carefully. Note that the rule of thumb is that from the inside, in any plan, the house number plate, address or small office sign must be placed on the left-hand side. Plant trees indoors or on the side of the house In feng shui, green trees are items that bring many special benefits. In it, the plants with lots of water are considered a symbol of the Cat Tuong. Trees help increase prosperity, while increasing the longevity of your family members. Some plants have a very high energy index, which helps to filter the air very well, so they should be placed indoors such as: tiger’s tongue tree, Kim Ngan tree, Trau Ba tree, Aloe plant … Some trees can be planted on the side of the house with very strong energy such as: Hoa Lua, Rose, Dinh Lang, Lemongrass, Khue, Chili … Plants that reduce the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays: Plants with spikes should not be placed indoors. Because these plants are easy to generate toxic energy streams, potentially causing risks and unhappiness for homeowners. However, only with Cau Cactus is an exception, these trees are placed near the Attomat, near the television, and the computer screen will help reduce the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays emitted from electronic devices such as TV, phone, computer … They absorb a part of these rays, so they are often placed near electronic devices in the home. * Information is for reference only

The market for people is not good because there are few buyers. At 10 am May 1, customers parked in front of the stalls selling beef of Ms. Dung (small trader at Dai Tu market, Hoang Mai, Hanoi) was surprised that there is still a lot of meat not sold out today, while every day only 8 In the morning, my betrayed meat had nothing to buy. Ms. Dung said that although she actively imported less meat than usual, she did not expect that the market was so empty today, so it was not sold out. “Yesterday, there were many customers, but today is boring, the amount of meat sold today is not equal to weekends, Saturdays and Sundays. Everyone’s home, people come back to the hometown, all have been traveling ”, said Ms. Dung. According to the survey, the prices of goods at the local market are still sold by small traders at the same price as usual, even because of stock prices, many people reduce prices quickly. For example, bacon only costs 150,000-170,000 / kg, depending on type; ribs from 140,000 to 180,000 VND / kg; Beef tenderloin costs 250,000 VND / kg, beef corn 270,000 – 300,000 VND / kg … The lack of customers is not only at popular markets, but also in regular supermarkets that are crowded today. Supermarket with less customers than normal day For example, at the T-Mart Dai Tu supermarket (Hoang Mai), there were staggering customers to buy. According to the salesman, yesterday the supermarket was crowded because they came to buy fruit and food to return home for the holidays. However, from this morning until noon, the supermarket is quite thin, even quieter than usual. At Vinmart Linh Dam supermarket, right at the entrance there is always a sign that requires customers to wear a mask when entering the supermarket to prevent epidemics. If anyone forgets to wear a mask, they will be reminded and asked to buy a mask immediately before they can purchase. Here, the goods are quite plentiful, many discounted fruits such as Australian green grapes and black grapes are priced at just under 100,000 VND / kg; Imported apples are only priced from 49,900 VND to 87,900 VND / kg … However, customers coming to buy goods are also absent, the shelves of vegetables, meat, and fruits … even though it is noon, are still full of goods. Below are some pictures at supermarkets and local markets this morning of May 1 recorded by PV Infonet: Although it was late afternoon, the stalls of beef, pork, and chicken were still full. Small traders in the area selling shrimp and fish at Dai Tu market do not wear a mask when selling. At T-Mart Dai Tu supermarket, customers come to buy goods sparsely. At the entrance to the supermarket Vinmart Linh Dam (Hoang Mai – Hanoi), there is always a sign that requires a mask to be worn in order to enter the supermarket to buy goods to prevent epidemics. All visitors to the supermarket wear masks. Meat stalls at supermarkets are also in the scene “meat waiting for customers to buy”. Until noon, the shelves of vegetables and fruits … are still full even though the supermarket has many discount programs. The cashier is leisurely because few customers pay.
