The countries of the Middle East are considered the “supercar capitals” of the world. In particular, the UAE (United Arab Emirates) is home to the most supercars with two cities, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Due to the high occurrence rate, supercars in this country are no longer so special. They are even forgotten in the garage or thrown on the side of the road after an accident, even if they are a rare supercar. According to Gulf News, every year about 2,000-3,000 cars are abandoned in the UAE for the simple reason that their owners forget their existence. In Dubai, this model is not so special. After colliding with a Porsche Panamera, the blue Arnage was left by its owner on the highway in Dubai. According to local media, the two models were left on the side of the road for a few days before being moved. During the production phase (1981-1983), DMC DeLorean was not given much attention. It was not until it appeared in the movie Back To The Future (1985) that this model became famous. Currently, the number of DeLorean that can operate in the world is not much, but it is abandoned in Dubai. One of them was caught in a public parking lot in Dubai. With a top speed of up to 341 km/h, the XJ220 was once the world’s fastest supercar in the 1992-1993 period. For supercar fans around the world, the Ferrari Enzo is a legend. There were about 400 Enzo units produced between 2002-2004 with an ex-works price of about 650,000 USD (equivalent to 900,000 USD at present). The Ferrari logo is the cheapest at $2.5 million on the used car market. You must be “approved” by the French supercar company before signing a sales contract. The Veyron in the photo is covered in dust but is in fairly new condition. It seems that this supercar has never rolled before being abandoned. Earning a lot of money and not having to pay personal income tax makes entrepreneurs splurge to buy supercars. After the 2008 economic crisis, many businesses went bankrupt and entrepreneurs fled the UAE before going to jail. Therefore, they do not have time to liquidate assets, including supercars. Swissotel Al Murooj Hotel is the place where Vietnamese recruits stay from the evening of May 26 to June 3. The team will stay here for 8 nights before returning to headquarters with the other 4 teams of Group G for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

According to the original plan, the Mövenpick Al Bustan hotel was selected by the logistics team. It is also a 5-star hotel, fully equipped and, importantly, located close to the Dubai airport. The team’s new hotel is located in the busy area of Dubai. Photo: Booking.com The new Swissotel Al Murooj is also a 5-star hotel, located in the expensive Downtown Dubai area. Room price for 2 people excluding breakfast is about 2.4 million VND/night. The two locations are 16 km apart. The accommodation of the Vietnamese team is built in the style of a resort resort, including many entertainment complexes. This place is located next to the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world (828 m). During a short stay at this hotel, the cost will be taken care of by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). This is the preparation phase, so the teams can choose their own places to stay until June 3. After that, the team will move to the 5-star Crowne Plaza Dubai – Festival City hotel. The hotel is located next to the Dubai River, 10 minutes by bus from both arenas. This is where coach Park Hang-seo’s teachers and students used to be stationed before the victory over Jordan in the round of 16 of the Asian Cup 2019. The hotel is fully equipped with training equipment and living space for large groups. On the first day in Dubai, 47 members of the Vietnamese team did not leave the hotel until they received a negative Covid-19 test result from Dubai airport. Vietnamese Ambassador to the UAE wishes Park’s teachers and students a successful competition Sharing with Zing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the UAE Nguyen Manh Tuan sent his best wishes to the Vietnamese team before the final matches of the second qualifying round of the World Cup 2022.
