The hundred-year-old tree called “Pride of Vietnam” was first brought to the exhibition by Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong (living in Buon Ho town, Dak Lak) at the Central Biological Fair – Central Highlands. attracts the attention of the people and the world of bonsai players. The tree has a root circumference of 10 m, height of 3.7 m and length of 6 m. Trees are hundreds of years old, green moss. Mr. Duong said that 10 years ago a friend introduced him to this tree in Ea Sol commune (Ea H’leo district) so he should buy it. After many times of persuasion, the owner of the new born tree gave up. The tree has a wide, beautifully symmetrical canopy. The tree’s roots float to the ground, hugging the rocks tightly. Part of the root of the plant rotted, forming a trench. According to Mr. Duong, the tree of birth starts from the base of the pedestal, where all the limbs are held together, originating from a small germ. Then the tree spent hundreds of years to develop as it is. The tree is carefully cared for by the owner, so the leaves are green, forming many layers. Under the skillful hands of the artist, the giant tree in the wild becomes smooth with a posture of profound meaning. The birth tree is placed on a rectangular pedestal of more than 6 m2 in size. According to Mr. Duong, this is the largest pedestal of bonsai today. The perennial tree should have a beautiful tumor, the branches and canopy are harmonious, balanced and reasonable. When the tree was put on display, many people enjoyed it and took pictures. According to many people this was the first time they had seen such an old tree. With 15 years of experience playing bonsai, Mr. Duong is proud to own this birth root. There were many people asking to buy birth trees, but Mr. Duong refused because he considered the tree as a soul mate. “The tree of birth is not only my friend but my teacher, it transmits the message that the tree has a strong vitality, enduring through the harshness of time and climate.
