Hundreds of thousands of motorbike taxi drivers in Rwanda will be able to change petrol motorbikes into electric cars Bloomberg reported that the Rwandan government has partnered with a local company, Rwandan Electric Mobility, to deploy electric scooters in the country’s capital, Kigali. Rwanda has a population of more than 12.6 million people living in an area of 26,338 square kilometers, and is the most densely populated country in Africa. The motorbike taxi industry, motorbike taxi service, or delivery is a popular method of transportation and delivery in this country, thanks to its affordable prices and access to all corners of the country. Therefore, the initiative to convert gasoline-powered motorbikes that are nearing the end of their service life to electric ones, will help about 100,000 current motorbike owners to have new and zero-emission vehicles. This move not only reduces the overall carbon footprint but also effectively extends the life of these vehicles. It also greatly reduces maintenance costs, car owners don’t need to worry about oil changes and refueling their vehicles. To launch the project, the Rwanda Environmental Management Agency (REMA) signed a contract with Rwandan Electric Mobility, and technical and financial support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) was also secured to promote the project. project progress. The trial phase, which is expected to last for 6 months, will convert about 30,000 motorbike taxis currently using gasoline engines to electric motorbikes.

Some Indonesians believe that the martial art of Yellow Bamboo has ‘magical’ abilities that are not found in any other martial art in the world.
 Weird Wrestling has SUPER POWER?

If to choose one of the weirdest and most humorous martial arts in the world, perhaps Yellow Bamboo (Yellow Bamboo) on the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia. According to the website Skepdic.com, Yellow Bamboo was once considered an art of self-development, health protection and healing. In fact, it is a martial art whose creators have made extravagant claims that Yellow Bamboo can use “universal energy” (in Yellow Bamboo called “Chi”) to scare away and neutralize the attackers. Until now, the question of who founded Yellow Bamboo is still a mystery. But many Indonesians consider Yellow Bamboo to be a martial art or a mystical cult with supernatural powers. They believe that in order to use “the energy of the universe”, the most important thing is to have the power of faith. On the Yellow Bamboo website it is stated that this martial art has more than 30,000 followers worldwide. In addition to curing many diseases, Yellow Bamboo can help the practitioner knock down opponents without having to touch them. Even those who practice Yellow Bamboo also claim that they can… fly into the air like in the martial arts movie. According to the Skepdic.com website, many practitioners of the martial art Yellow Bamboo have been spamming internet forums to attract more new students to join their organizations. Although it completely lacks scientific basis and carries only spiritual meaning, Yellow Bamboo can spread to a very distant country, Australia. Previously, a martial artist named Peter Dellys, who studied the Brazilian martial art Jiu Jitsu, also practiced Yellow Bamboo. The character was controversial after a “mysterious martial arts” performance with Fraser Johnston, another Jiu Jitsu practitioner, on a beach in Perth, Australia. This is the same technique as “electrical martial arts” in China or Japan, Vietnam… that is, knocking down the opponent without physical contact. Of course, many people think that this is a “fake martial artist” and a product of theatrical trick, not completely real. Two masters of the Yellow Bamboo martial art in Bali, Indonesia. Those who practice Yellow Bamboo say that in order to practice this martial art, practitioners will first have to perform an initiation ceremony called “pasupati”. Every time a new level is reached, this ritual is repeated. Every time they practice, the trainees have to…” imagine and practice feeling the power of the light of the universe entering your body “. The followers of Yellow Bamboo also think that the best way is that they should practice on the full moon nights of every month to be able to gather the most energy of the universe! THE FUCKING LUCK CLEARED CREATING SUCCESSFULLY In February 2004, followers of the Yellow Bamboo sect released a press release, claiming that the masters of this martial art can demonstrate the ability to knock opponents down without physical contact and can win the “$1 Million Mystery Challenge” prize (award established by the James Randi Education Foundation in the US). After that, a martial artist who is considered a “master” of Yellow Bamboo performed the challenge under the verification of the organizers, and was assessed through a number of quite modern machines and equipment. However, the “masters” of Yellow Bamboo completely failed and even this challenge turned into a very rare “trick” for the world martial arts village. According to the website Skepdic.com, a martial artist named Serengen performed the challenge. A representative of the James Randi Education Foundation named Joko Tri stood to verify Serengen’s abilities. Some foreigners also practice Yellow Bamboo. However, instead of performing the challenge in good lighting conditions, Serengen chose the time after dark. To perform this challenge, Joko Tri will run threateningly and then Serengen will use “supernatural powers” to defeat Joko Tri from afar. Instead of Joko Tri running alone, 3 or 4 other members of Yellow Bamboo followed. Then, in the dark, when the camera equipment could not shoot clearly, the members of Yellow Bamboo used a… gun to attack, making Joko Tri stunned and fell down. After that, Serengen and the members of Yellow Bamboo confirmed that they had successfully completed the challenge, but later on, this group’s trick was exposed and this became the most tragic “joke” in the village. martial. Contrary to a part of the Indonesian people and a few in the world who still believe in the “super powers” of Yellow Bamboo martial arts, so far, most people think that this is just a “fake martial arts” thing. , completely not real but just taking advantage of the blind faith of the disciples in this martial art.

Imagine a scene on the street where you live if there are no cramped power lines but households are still on.

Wireless electricity does not emit radiation. This picture seems impossible at first glance but is being realized gradually through an idea called “wireless electricity”. From the Tesla coil From 2021, Powerco, New Zealand’s second largest electricity distributor, will work with start-up Emrod to bring wireless electrical technology to life. It all stems from the ambitious dream of the Serbian engineer, Nikola Tesla. Back in 1899, in the city of Colorado Srpings, USA, Nikola Tesla created a 50m high coil with a current of 12 million volts, called the “Tesla coil”. The coil has an activation switch. Just flip the switch, a flash will flash from the coil, carrying wireless current to light up 200 nearby bulbs. During the test, no one was injured. This experiment hypothesizes that the Earth can conduct electricity by itself without the need for a transmission device. And the technology of transmitting electricity in the air can be quite safe for humans or other living things. After that, Nikola Tesla continued to experiment with electromagnetic induction, discovered by scientist Michael Faraday from the 1820s. According to this experiment, around the electromagnet has a changing magnetic field, creating an electric current in a wire is nearby. Electric currents in a wire create electrical energy in the air, which can exist as a magnetic field. From his experiments, he modified and perfected the Tesla coil, the first system to wirelessly transmit electricity. The Tesla coil consists of two parts: a primary coil and a secondary coil. Each coil carries its own capacitor. The two coils and capacitors are connected by an ignition slot and can produce a spark. In general, the Tesla coil is two open circuits connected to an ignition slot. It needs a source of high voltage messages, passed through a transformer to produce thousands of volts. First, the primary coil will be connected to a power source. It will absorb electrical charges like a absorbent sponge. The primary coil is usually made of copper, a material that conducts electricity well, as it must be able to withstand very large charges and many electric waves. When the primary coil’s capacitor has accumulated a lot of charge, it will escape and create a magnetic field. Magnetic energy induces an electric current in the secondary coil. The compressed voltage through the air between the two coils creates a spark in the air. When the charged charge in the capacitor of the secondary coil rises, it will escape in the form of an electric arc. When this happens, an energy is enveloped between the two coils. The high frequency voltage can light fluorescent bulbs a few feet away without the need for a transmitter. Wireless power network infrastructure Inspired by Nikola Tesla’s invention, New Zealand-based Greg Kushnir founded the Emrod Energy Company. The company plans to deploy wireless power infrastructure. To do this, Emrod uses a system consisting of a power source, a special antenna capable of converting radio waves into electricity, called “rectenna,” the base stations. The transmitting antenna converts electricity into microwave particles. In the area using wireless electricity, Emrod installs base stations fitted with square pads. The microwave particles transmitted to the receiver will be gathered into a beam, leading to the rectenna in the area. The rectenna’s job is to convert the microwaves back into electricity. The reason that the receiver is square is because it needs a large surface area, which helps to collect all microwaves passing through. “We have developed a long-range wireless transmission technology,” said Greg Kushimir. The technology itself has been around for a while. Our project is a continuation of Tesla’s achievements ”. However, Kushimir commented that Tesla can generate alternating current from the Tesla coil but he cannot control the electric beam at a long distance. In contrast, Emrod can keep the electric beams tightly connected, stable transmission thanks to two technologies. First, it must be mentioned is the technology related to transmission lines. The microwaves passing through the collimator are converted into a parallel beam of light. Next, Emrod used metamaterials designed in microscopic samples, highly efficient in microwave reception. The Rectenna acts like an invisible cable. Their job is to transmit electricity to the people. By eliminating the traditional wiring, Emrod can bring electricity to areas with difficult terrain, difficult to access because the infrastructure here does not support electricity networks. This technology also has a positive impact on the environment as people do not have to depend on generators that run on gasoline or oil. Power generation stations can also be quickly installed after a natural disaster. Thus, bad weather does not affect the wireless power transmission system. However, Kushimir expressed the challenge now is communication and public orientation. Like the advent of 5G, many people may oppose this idea due to concerns about the negative effects of radiation. But Kushimir asserted, the wave beam transmitted in the new technology does not emit radiation harmful to humans.

Nuoc Dop residential area is located on a hill on the other side of Dakdrinh hydropower reservoir. This is an area not included in the hydropower project, but the people of Nuoc Dop are indirectly affected by this project.

Tired of waiting for the way

We have returned to the Kingdom many times by different routes. For the first time on December 31, 2014, after one day, hydroelectricity was put into operation, to write the article “Dakdrr hydropower accumulation of water: Locking people in high mountains”. At that time, we rented boats, crossed the vast lake bed with more than 11 million cubic meters of water. Both going and going back took nearly 3 hours, with a price of 500 thousand VND.

Immediately after the press was published, the local government held an urgent meeting, immediately mobilizing the youth force of Son Tay district and Son Long commune to open a dirt road to make a passageway for the people of Nuoc Dop to go from the village to the middle communal mind. The road construction project was then urgently implemented, with a total length of 7.8 km, a total cost of more than 17 billion VND from the budget source. However, due to the design and other shortcomings, the project was stopped.

In 2018, the project of making this route restart. The total length is still the same, but the total cost increases to 30 billion VND, from the funding source of Dakdrinh Hydropower investor. Also since here, the Son Tay district government has to constantly go “debt collection” to have money for road construction. However, that road is still unfinished, even in many sections, it is even more difficult to go than the first day I crossed the lake bed, followed the path to return to this upland people.

Recently, we returned to the Kingdom. A 7.8km road can only make about 3.5km of the beginning of the route. The most important stretch of road is longer than 4km at the end of the route, that is, adjacent to residential areas, it is still sprawling with rocks, deep pools and steep slopes. Due to the difficulty of having no way to travel, the people of Nuoc Dop set up a wharf at the junction of the village adjacent to the Dakdrinh hydropower reservoir and named it “Ben Ra Manh”.

We arrived at Ra Manh wharf, Mr. Dinh Van Nghe thought that tourists would go on a trip, so he enthusiastically invited the boat to go to the lake for a walk. Mr. Nghiep said: This boat is the means of transportation of the whole village, carrying acacia, carrying the harvested noodles around the lake bed and on the rising hills between the hydroelectric lake. The investor of hydroelectricity only recovers the land at the foot of the hill, the rest of the people still grow acacia. Have to swim across the lake bed to clear grass, plant trees, then go sawing, taking boats to the shore. The small boat, piled with dozens of acacia trees, rowing all day to come ashore, but there is no other way.

Bringing the story of persistent debt shortage to the leader of Dakdrinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company, Director of Dam Duc Thong Company said: “Hydropower is willing to pay for road construction, but until now, it has only paid about 17 billion, 13 billion more in debt. The reason is that the district has not completed the documents to be able to disburse it “. The file that this director explained is the final settlement of the project, that is, the district must complete, accept, hand over, then transfer the dossier to hydroelectricity for consideration and disbursement. However, on the side of the unit authorized to implement the Nuoc Dop road project, which is the Management Board of Construction Investment and Development of Land Funds in Son Tay District, said that if the capital is not arranged in advance, it will be very difficult for construction. Therefore, we hope that hydroelectricity will consider and make capital investments to make this road more flexible, because the longer it lasts, the more difficult people’s lives.

The electricity was creeping

For many generations, more than 100 people in Nuoc Dop residential area have not had access to the national electricity grid. For many years, Son Tay district has invested money to bring electricity to Nuoc Dop, but for many reasons, the project has not energized yet.

In Nuoc Dop, the medium voltage poles rise high, the wire is ready, but waiting to complete some procedures before it can be energized and supplied to households. Because it is too difficult when the life has no electricity, the people of Nuoc Dop residential area pay their own money to buy wires and pull electricity thanks to acquaintances from other KDC. Long distance, small wires, weak electricity, electric lights creeping not much brighter than kerosene lamps. “I hope to have electricity to light up for my children to study, watch television and listen to the radio to enjoy. Now I use electricity thanks to the time I lose. I don’t have electricity in my village,” said the village elder, Dinh Van Xon.

Because pulling electricity far away, the cost of pulling electricity back to the village is up to 4-5 million VND. Someone has to borrow hot money to get money to pull electricity. The electric lines like forest wires tangled in the pillars are actually dry acacia tops, low and low, with a section just at the knee. “I know that it is not allowed to connect electricity like that, but the family needs electricity very much before having to do so. I only hope that electricity can be brought back to the people on a large pole, a large wire for people to be assured to use. With electricity, a new life will be required. less suffering “, Ms. Dinh Thi Un confided.

It is difficult to pull electricity back to Nuoc Dop residential area because partly there is no road. When implementing road investment here, the district has planned to implement the road in parallel. However, the road project just kept sluggish and electricity so was also slow to follow.

When will the promise come true?

The day we got back to Dop, it was on the day when a truck came to buy noodles for the people. Dozens of households in Dop were very happy. Before Tet, the constant rain and flood, the noodles were left on the field. After Tet, when it was sunny, people harvested, bagged, carried them down the road, sent people to the center of Son Tay district to call people to buy. 3 days new car appointment The whole village rushed to pick it up, put the noodles in the car, laughed loudly. There are many people who divide the money to sell noodles into each item: pay for electricity, buy rice, give their children money to go to the district to go to boarding school, buy acacia seed to grow … All essential expenses of life. “Luckily, we can sell noodles, but if we can’t sell, we go” hot “to take care of our family but know how,” said Dinh Thi Xang.

Also because there is no sugar, the agricultural products in Dop are sold at a much cheaper price than other places. Currently, the purchasing price of Acacia wood here is only about 600-700 thousand VND, which is about 200,000 VND / ton cheaper than the convenient roads. Difficult, low income, but here people do not have side jobs. Chairman of Son Long Commune People’s Committee Do Thanh Qua said: All households in Nuoc Dop are poor. In recent years, life has been more difficult due to the fall in agricultural prices. There are times when there are storms, traffic is divided, agricultural products cannot be sold. The commune hopes that the superiors will quickly build the road and bring electricity back to Nuoc Dop residential area so that the people can improve their living conditions and gradually reduce poverty “.

Now Dop is in a raging season for acacia cultivation. On the green acacia hills, groups of 5-10 people work hard to clean up. In Nuoc Dop, people still keep the same “rhyme” as in the past. Every family has important work, everyone in the village who is free will come to help. They help each other as wholeheartedly as family members. Therefore, despite the difficult life, the roads are back, electricity has not come back forever, but no one left the village to go elsewhere. The special thing is that the village has no evils of gambling, theft … And for many years, they have been united, sharing with all difficulties of the government, the investor of Dakdrinh hydroelectricity and patiently. waiting for a promise …
