As the main tool to prevent respiratory infections, masks have irreplaceable blocking effects on the spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Although the domestic epidemic is basically under control at this moment, only sporadic imported cases have appeared. However, considering that the global pandemic is not over and the potential risks are difficult to eradicate, wearing masks in public places is still a requirement of the epidemic prevention policy for all citizens . Why did Li Chuyuan publicly publish this kind of nonsense that lacks scientific basis in forum activities that the media is present and the industry is paying attention to? In his speech, he freely “posted money” for the company he was in charge of, which was full of the meaning of “advertisement” for his own products through the epidemic.

As the “top leader,” Li Chuyuan’s corporate promotion for himself is understandable. However, his performance of his duties must not override public health and epidemic prevention safety in any case. For the benefit of enterprises, it is obviously extremely undesirable to talk about serious issues such as epidemic prevention and control.

For Li Chuyuan, this incident can be said to be an out-and-out “misfortune comes from the mouth.” In this regard, whether it is a medical practitioner with a similar identity to him, or anyone else who has the opportunity to speak up on epidemic prevention-related issues, they should follow the scientific principles of evidence-based medicine, and have a point of evidence to say something, and must not be chaotic.
