When the first rain of the season pours water into the canals and ditches filled with silt, it is also the time for the dolphins to come. The hooves, bottoms, and shoals placed in the rivers in front of the house are always full of dolphins. That’s why in the early morning, market-goers go to the fish stall to see the sharks lying in the basin jumping and eroding. Knowing that the family likes fish, every time I go to the market, my mother immediately buys this fish. Sometimes cooking sour soup, sometimes deep frying, grinding to make rolls. But above all, braised cod fish is the best, so it is the mother’s priority to process it.

Never knew this fish had such a funny name. No one can explain. But let’s put the name aside for now, the important thing is that the fish makes the family meal more delicious. Like the catfish (same family, but red tail, bigger), the fish has a lot of small bones, but in return, the fish meat is fatty, soft and sweet. Unlike some other freshwater fishes, porpoises (including bream) only remove the intestines, clean the gills, cut off the fins and tail. Very quick. Absolutely do not scrape fish scales, because the fish scales are soft, crunchy, strange to eat. In addition, this fish scale should be accidentally crushed, making the fish meat bitter, so the villagers just let it be. Given the job by my mother, my brother and I quickly prepared some unpleasant fish, carefully placing them in a bamboo basket to drain. Mother gently put the basket of fish into the pot to marinate. As the name of the dish is “potato braised”, so my mother never seasoned it too salty, nor sweet. Depending on the taste of each place, each person has a different way of seasoning. But do not add cooking oil or add fat to create a very greasy taste because the nature of the meat and fish head is already fat. To color the broth, you can use coconut-colored water or molasses sugar. Marinate fish for 30 minutes for firm meat. Then, my mother brought it to the stove to cook. Wood stove has the advantage that in addition to saving money on gas, it also has the advantage that the firewood burns evenly and smoldering, so the fish cooks slowly, without having to watch. When the fish water is boiling, evenly absorbed, add one and a half cups of filtered water and cook until the fish is cooked, then season again and then turn off the stove. Do not overcook the fish, it is no longer crispy, but it is crushed. Add finely chopped scallions (or basil) and pepper to enhance the flavor and keep the stomach warm. Mom gently scooped up the broth and fish on a plate. Cut a piece of fresh lemon, mother squeezed it on the fish plate. The special braised dish there, without the sourness of the lemon is missing an important part. The basket of field vegetables picked by the father behind the dike was also placed on the dining table. The rice tray is simple but cozy. Always, after the word “invite the whole family to eat rice”, I quickly pick up the vegetables with chopsticks because I love raw vegetables. Wow, the vegetables, watercress and water need to be rolled up like a spring roll and then put into the chopsticks to dip the broth in the broth. How did the fat, slightly sour, and sweet leopard taste permeate the raw vegetables? Because this fish has many bones, it must be skillful in how to pick it up and know how to eat it to fully enjoy the delicious taste. Use a spoon or chopsticks to push the fish meat horizontally, the meat will drift along each fiber, leaving the fish skeleton intact. After eating this back side, turn over to the back side. Don’t forget to use the fish head, it’s very crunchy (but remember to leave out the two fisheye balls). Putting a piece of rice in my mouth with cod meat, I felt all sorts of flavors in the tip of my tongue – wanting to eat forever even though my stomach was full. Above all, the most delicious taste is the taste of the countryside, the sacred love of a mother for her family.

In Phan Thiet city, there is a remnant mangrove forest in the heart of the city in particular, and Binh Thuan province in general. This area was originally planned as a park, green tree and sports area, but was later adjusted into a residential area, a commercial service area and a park. If this project is implemented, the rare and unique mangrove forest of Binh Thuan province will disappear.

Remaining mangrove forest of Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province Windproof, anti-erosion Mangrove forest population of Phan Thiet city has an area of more than 32 hectares, distributed on the southern bank of the flood drainage canal, on the boundary between three wards Phu Thuy, Thanh Hai and Phu Hai. Mr. Nguyen Van Thai (living in Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city) said: “In the past, on both sides of Cau Ke river, trees such as fish sauce, cork, mangroves have grown luxuriantly. About 15 years ago, when shrimp farming developed, local people voluntarily dig ponds to raise shrimp. However, later shrimp farming failed, people quit and since then, trees and creatures have grown very strongly, creating a beautiful mangrove forest. According to local people, the above mentioned mangrove forest has recovered and grown very quickly; many trees are 3-4m high, there are trees 5-6m, wide and thick canopy. Currently, many types of birds and storks have come to live, creating a unique space in the heart of the famous tourist city of the country. Mr. Pham Cong Thai (living in Thanh Hai ward) said: “Because there are small creeks, shrimp and fish are abundant, recently, storks have focused on the forest to live and feed. Sometimes they fly back in large numbers, sometimes thousands, creating a peaceful scene.” Not only having a rich ecosystem, the mangrove forest of Phan Thiet city also has important functions such as charging and regulating groundwater, regulating ecology and climate, producing biomass, limiting floods, and preventing floods. This area is also home to dozens of species of shrimp, fish, snails and molluscs. In which, storks, shrimps and green clams are considered the typical species of the forest. It is not necessary to change According to the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet City, this area was originally planned as “Parks, green trees, sports”. However, it was later adjusted into a residential area, a commercial and service area (about 12 hectares) and a park (about 18 hectares). In which, an area of 12 hectares will be auctioned to get money to build the park. Many people were shocked when they heard this news. “If the project is implemented, Phan Thiet city will lose a rare regenerated mangrove forest. This is a big loss that money can’t create in the future, “said Mr. Thai. Recently, during a survey and working trip with the Standing Board of Phan Thiet City Party Committee, Mr. Duong Van An, Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, said that it is necessary to re-study the plan to build a residential area combined with a park in Binh Thuan province. mangrove forest above. Auctioning a part of this land for residential purposes will cause Phan Thiet City to lose a rare, largest remaining regenerating mangrove forest. Retaining and conserving the mangrove forest is to retain a precious, non-renewable natural resource. Later, when conditions permit, embellishment will be carried out, investing in a system of roads around and under the forest canopy, embellishing both sides of the river, creating a beautiful ecological area in the heart of Phan Thiet city, right next to the route. main road to Mui Ne National Tourist Area. Many locals also believe that, if kept, this place promises to be a unique destination of Binh Thuan tourism. At the same time, the locality will have an additional natural park, eco-tourism community; contribute to educating pupils, students and people about the awareness of environmental protection, love of nature… Mangrove forest complex is also a place for research, sightseeing and picnic activities. In some localities, mangroves are preserved, developed, promoted their value, become attractions, tourism, scientific research. “Binh Thuan province still has difficulties and needs resources to develop. Exchange of land for infrastructure is one of the must-dos in the current context. However, there are still other lands to put up for auction, for residential, commercial and service purposes, not necessarily taking this precious mangrove forest,” said Binh Thuan Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An. strong.

A case of skin pigmentation disorder caused by using whitening cream, melasma treatment (photo illustration) Nguyen Thu Trang (37 years old) went to the hospital because all the skin on her cheeks was blackened. She said that when she was young, she also had a few cheeks on her cheeks, but in the last few years, especially since her second child, the freckles on her cheeks have increased. “Some rapid blemishes have spread and tend to become spots. I am very worried, so I use “special treatment” cosmetics that have not improved yet. Many experienced people said that I have a hormonal disorder, leading to melasma, freckles. Someone tells me to take hormonal drugs (birth control pills) that can improve melasma, “said Trang. Obediently, she also bought a daily pack of oral contraceptives to try for a month, but the freckles were still thicker and thicker. Not to mention that taking oral contraceptives also made her periods go wrong. Afraid she would go to the hospital for examination Talk to reporters Infonet, Colonel, BSCK II, major in dermatology Nguyen Xuan Except, said melasma is a benign hyperpigmentation disease with a complex pathogenesis mechanism. One of them is the influence of endocrine factors. However, taking hormonal drugs to treat melasma is not recommended by doctors. “Even in a few cases hormonal drugs (birth control pills, hormone replacement …) are the cause of melasma onset or aggravation”, said doctor Nguyen Xuan Except. More ominously, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien, Director of the National Fertility Center once emphasized that using any hormonal drug into the body, including birth control pills, must screen for all cancers. breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, .. Incorrect use of hormone supplements increases the likelihood of cancer. Therefore, dermatologists recommend that women do not mistakenly think that taking hormones to treat melasma. Because that’s not exactly, it’s not safe. If you want to take medicine to treat melasma, you should take drugs with ingredients such as: vitamin C, Glutathion, vitamin PP, L-cystin, Explaining this, BSCK II Nguyen Xuan Except said, melasma due to many reasons, can be divided into two groups of major causes: endogenous causes and exogenous causes. Endogenous causes include familial, endocrine factors (puberty, pregnancy and lactation, menopause, thyroid disease, uterus – ovary …) or simply aging. skin chemistry over time and a number of other causes. The leading exogenous cause is due to the UV rays present in sunlight, followed by the overuse of cosmetics of unknown origin, peeling creams, whitening creams, and creams containing corticosteroids. In addition, the polluted environment also significantly affects the skin pigmentation. “To treat melasma safely and effectively, it is necessary to have the examination and consultation of a qualified doctor. At the same time, each person must have a basic skin care process: cleansing – moisturizing – sun protection, especially sun protection in order to improve and maintain treatment results “, Dr. Xuan Except emphasized . According to him, the self-treatment of skin pigmentation by taking hormonal drugs or applying alcohol, betel leaves … by word of mouth is not only ineffective but also has very serious consequences. . Accordingly, women may have to face consequences such as endocrine disorders, pigmentation disorders, darkening of the skin, secondary pigmentation, loss of pigmentation, skin abrasion … These are all extremely disease aspects. difficult to treat. “For example, the application / covering of betel leaves is not communicated by many people, even shared on social networks such as facebook, tiktok … because betel leaves do not contain hydroquinone – a compound that has been Scientifically proven to be effective in treating melasma. However, this compound must be formulated and extracted in the form of a safe and effective pharmaceutical or cosmetic product, but cannot be used in “raw” form, leading to darkening of the skin, pigmentation disorder “. Dr. Xuan Except said. The doctor colonel said, he had encountered countless cases of wrong treatment of melasma. These are the cases of using acid, tattooing skin color on the melasma, burning with CO2 laser, applying / applying alcohol, betel leaves, applying bleaching cream, using cosmetics containing oral contrast or sugar. smear … These actions all leave very unfortunate consequences. The remedial treatment takes time, effort and money, and cannot even return the original skin. Notably, during the epidemic season, the examination is limited, so many women look for ways to cure melasma … However, with personal experience, Dr. Xuan Except said that the information reference in journals Prestige, doctors, experts are essential. Women absolutely do not apply any form of treatment on their face without consulting a specialist. When possible, women should go to reputable facilities to be examined by doctors, skin exams and counseling to make the regimen and therapy most suitable for their skin. Along with that, it is recommended to maintain daily skin care routine including cleansing, moisturizing and sunscreen while combining with a healthy lifestyle of eating and exercising, reducing stress and staying up late.

Chewing gum helps you stay awake, studies have proven. Any feeling of fatigue will be alleviated. The effect has been proven by British researchers, chewing gum in exams helps to increase mental concentration, higher scores are achieved. Do not brush your teeth right after eating Do not brush your teeth right after eating because this will cause teeth to wear out, and easily damaged enamel. Because vitamins like vitamin C stick to the tooth wall to increase the impact of tooth erosion. Rest for 30 minutes, then start cleaning your teeth. Should sleep in a room with low temperature You know, sleeping in a room at a low temperature helps you sleep deeper, better. At the same time burn more calories, thereby reducing the risk of diabetes. Moreover, sleeping in a room with a temperature of 16 – 20 degrees C helps you reduce the aging process in the skin. Drink coffee for a good nap A study in Japan showed that people who consumed 200 mg of caffeine (in 1 to 2 cups of coffee) and then went to nap for about 20 minutes, woke up awake and performed tests. on the computer better than those who don’t drink coffee. Why so? Because it takes 20 minutes for the caffeine to take effect, by that time you have just woken up. Caffeine will remove adenosine molecules (a byproduct of the process). Increased adenosine makes the body tired, naps help eliminate adenosine, when combined with caffeine, adenosine is blocked, helping to maximize alertness. Do not brush your teeth after meals Do not brush your teeth immediately after eating and drinking, especially eating acidic foods such as citrus, tomatoes, sports drinks, and soda. Acid softens enamel. Brushing immediately after eating increases the speed of acid influence on tooth enamel and root. It is best to brush your teeth 30 to 60 minutes after eating. Want to wear small size clothes, please do weight training Weight gain here is muscle gain. If two women weigh almost 70kg, a weightlifter will fit smaller clothing sizes than the one who doesn’t. Similarly, a person who is nearly 70kg if he exercises weights will wear clothes that are smaller than the size of 63kg without exercising. The reason fat weight equals muscle weight, but muscles are toned and take up less space.

It is recommended for the authorities and Da Nang City is planning to dredge 200,000 m3 of material in the sea channel of Danang Port.

As Law of Ho Chi Minh City informed, the Vietnam Maritime Administration plans to dredge and sink 200,000m3 of material in the waters of Da Nang, which worries many people.

We have an interview with Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thanh Ca (Senior Lecturer, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment) about this sinking plan.

The plan is not effective

Sir, is the plan to dredge 200,000m3 of material and to sink in waters 4 nautical miles from Tien Sa Port is reasonable and effective?

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Ca: I also do not know where the sinking area is. But with personal experience, I think that this drowning option is reasonable but not effective.

It should be noted that even though we see sand all around, sand is actually becoming an extremely rare resource. Beach sand is always very flexible and has a sand cycle near the coast. In winter, large waves with short cycles bring the sand from the shore outward to form near shore sand bars. In summer, storm waves are small but long cycle transport sand from these sand bars to the shore to reclaim the beach. However, the amount of sand brought into the beach is always smaller than the amount of sand carried out or in other words, a certain amount of sand is lost each year towards areas with great depths. Usually, this loss of sand is offset by sand brought out by rivers.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Ca (Senior Lecturer, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment).

As many hydroelectric and irrigation dams are currently built on the upper reaches of rivers and block most of the sand flowing from the river basin. The amount of sand loaded into the sea by rivers is severely reduced and is no longer enough to compensate for the loss of sand at beaches. As a result, beaches suffer from a lack of sand, thus being transformed from an accretion state to an erosion, loss of beach state. Beach erosion is more serious because some localities have allowed to absorb sand near the shore for sea encroachment, thus causing a shortage of sand.

Sediment in Tien Sa port channel and basin originates from neighboring sandbanks and Han River, and is carried by long waves into the channel and port basin. If this amount of dredged sand is not submerged in locations with great depths but is dumped near the beach next to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street in Danang Bay, the use of sand will be very efficient.

There is no need to pour sand at the beach but rather sand in front of the beach, near where the sand bars are formed in winter. Long waves in summer will transport sand into the sediment to the beach, restore part of the beach that was eroded before.

Only immersed sand is not polluted

The waters surrounding Son Tra Peninsula have 177 species of coral, 130 species of fish living in coral reefs, 3 species of seagrass distributed over a total area of 1 ha and 108 species of seaweed. Warnings experts must be very careful when dumping 4 nautical miles from Tien Sa port. What are your comments on these concerns?

There have been many studies around the world on the environmental impact of dredged mud and sand. The first thing to emphasize is that if the dredged sludge is contaminated, special treatment is required to eliminate the pollution and only the immersion of non-contaminated dredged sludge into the sea is allowed.

The research results in the world show that, if the dredged sand is poured over sensitive ecosystems with high biodiversity such as corals, sea grass, the dredged mud and sand will kill the ecosystems. This state. In addition, if the dredged sediment is dumped near such ecosystems, the dumping of the sediment will change the seabed topography. The sea dynamics processes such as waves and currents will reset a new balance at the seabed by transporting mud and sand to sedimentation in other areas and can fill and cover areas with leveling ecosystems. coral, sea grass. Therefore, to avoid unnecessary damage, the dredged sediment submerged area must be significantly away from areas with high biodiversity sensitive ecosystems.

Da Nang seaport area.

If the dredged sludge is submerged in a rather remote location (for sure, more than 5 km) an area with a sensitive ecosystem with high biodiversity, the problem of turbid water becomes unimportant. . I would like to quote on this issue of the Committee of the OSPAR Convention, which is the Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Nordic Countries and Western European Countries: “Sediments are an essential part, the integrity and dynamics of the system. Ecological. Over 99% of the dredged material that has been submerged into the sea has been generated near the submerged site and is the result of dredging ports and access channels to ensure navigational operations. Most of the dredges were submerged at identified sites. They are also used for beach farming and encroachment ”and“ sediments are part of the marine environment and the movement of non-polluted sediments in the ocean supports natural sediment balancing. also has short-term effects on light-dependent organisms, but this effect is generally considered negligible. ”

It should be noted that the Nordic countries and Western Europe have very high standards of marine protection, and they concluded as such, we do not need to worry about this. Some countries also require dredged mud and sand submerged in the area with the mud and sand circulation system to support the mud and sand circulation, prevent coastal erosion.

Pouring sand to feed the yard, a double job

Do you have any advice for Vietnam Maritime Administration as well as Da Nang in sinking 200,000m3 of material?

I think that the dredger should be used to feed the beach, to compensate for erosion at the beaches of Danang. Over the years, a number of beaches in Da Nang, one of the most important tourism resources, are being eroded due to a shortage of sand. The use of dredged sand to feed the beach by dumping this sand into sandbanks just outside of the eroding beaches, although not fully addressing the problem of beach erosion, can also be mitigated. this problem.

If it is possible to use dredged sand to feed the beach and prevent erosion, the Vietnam Maritime Administration as well as Da Nang have done more than a double job. I want to say “more than a double job” because many places in Vietnam can not raise the beach to prevent erosion because there is no sand to feed the beach.

Associate’s views on material submersion into the sea? In the world, besides submerging material in the sea, is there any other option?

There is almost no other option to handle dredged sludge. Dumping dredged mud on shore is both costly and environmentally dangerous. It is expensive because you will need a large area of land for dredging mud and sand. Dangerous for the environment because salt water from dredged mud and sand will pollute and destroy the ecosystem in a rather large area around the dredged mud and sand dump site.

Furthermore, I would like to emphasize again that the dredged sludge is part of the sea, and if the uncontaminated dredged sludge is submerged in the area within the sand circulation system of an eroding beach then I have helped the beach to protect itself according to the laws of nature.

Thank you Sir!.
