Hindu monks and funeral staff will forever remember the horror as the number of Covid-19 cases increased exponentially. They don’t want to have to go through this situation again.
“Everything is chaotic. Bodies wrapped in white shrouds were brought in mass. The siren of the ambulance sounded from morning to night. The only thing we saw were the burning pyrems,” recalls Hemant Kumar Sharma, a monk at the Seemapuri crematorium.

Dressed in white, Mr. Kumar sat in the courtyard of the crematorium with other monks. Of the 26 pyre, only one is in operation. Another body is on its way there. “It’s comfortable now. Every 3-4 days, a body with Covid-19 will come here. We have time to breathe, eat and sleep,” he said The Hindu . To this day, he still cannot imagine what he had to go through two months ago. Unforgettable days Walking around the crematorium, Mr. Kumar pointed to an empty lot. Here, the staff of the crematorium had to erect 9 more cremation pylons. On another site, 5 pyre were built. Now, this area is just a black coal-stained void, with a few bricks left. Mr. Kumar pointed to the land that used to be the cremation pyre of Covid-19 victims. Photo: The Hindu. Taking a step further, Mr. Kumar pointed to another field. “This used to be a children’s cemetery. However, when the number of deaths peaked, we had to turn this into a crematorium and build 72 more cremation pylons. We even had to break down a wall to move the wood in,” he recalls. For about 10 days in April, more than 20 staff at the crematorium, including monks, sanitation workers and helpers, worked 24 hours a day. They even have to cremate their bodies in the middle of the night, which is against Hindu beliefs. “People leave dead bodies at the door without telling us. In addition, many families asked us to send back the video of the cremation ceremony,” Mr. Kumar recalled. “My mother used to make me go home and sleep for a few hours. I chanted sutras even in my sleep, according to family accounts,” he recalls. “Now I can sleep well.” Mr. Kumar has a 6-month-old baby girl. He did not dare to hold his child for the past month and a half due to fear of contracting Covid-19. At home, he ate and slept in a separate corner, trying to stay away from family members. “We didn’t wear protective gear because it was too hot. Can’t breathe… We just use masks and gloves,” he said. Now, the situation is less tense. When India’s vaccination campaign kicked off, all crematorium staff were vaccinated. This is a priority object due to the need to handle the body of a person who died due to Covid-19. “We once cremated a 6-month-old boy, who died from Covid-19, while the father of the baby wept bitterly. I will never forget this scene,” Mr. Kumar said. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused pain to hundreds of thousands of Indian families. Photo: BBC. Return to normal state At Lok Nayak Hospital, two large tents used to be used as waiting rooms for patients in front of the emergency ward. To date, they have been removed. No more patients on oxygen outside the hospital. There is no longer a long line of ambulances with the sound of the patient’s family crying and begging the hospital to accept it. Mr. Abhay, a community volunteer, reminisces about the shifts at the peak of the epidemic. “I don’t want to remember,” he said. At the Punjabi Bagh crematorium, the trees used to die because new pyrements were erected next to them. Now the green sprout is back. “I got used to this scene from last year, so I wasn’t affected much,” said monk Pankaj Sharma. However, for inexperienced monks and staff, seeing a mass of bodies leaves a psychological impact. “There were days when we didn’t have time to eat,” said Deepanshu, a 23-year-old employee. “A working day starts at 6:30. We help the victim’s family. Many were crying, scared, and didn’t know where to go or what to do. We only get to rest after 9-10pm.” Contrary to Seemapuri crematorium staff, Deepanshu and colleagues have not been vaccinated against Covid-19. “When the vaccination campaign started, government officials called us to get information. They asked us to go to a nearby hospital. However, when they arrived at the hospital, they said we were not on the list,” one staff member told The Hindu. During the peak of the epidemic, Indian crematoriums operated day and night. Photo: Reuters. “We are near the bodies of Covid-19 and many Covid-19 patients. We deserve an injection,” Deepanshu asserted. Currently, only 1-2 bodies infected with Covid-19 are brought to this crematorium every day. Most of the pyre are not working. “The situation here is not as bad as other crematoriums. People still have to wait, but with a much shorter time,” said monk Pankaj Sharma.

Design the main entrance in accordance with feng shui

In feng shui, the main door is very important because it is through the main door that the house absorbs good energy. When a house has good energy circulating everywhere, the people living in the house will live higher happiness. Design the front door in accordance with feng shui The front door or the main door is very important in feng shui. Here’s how to design a standard feng shui front door. Is the bathroom facing the front door suitable for feng shui? Bathrooms facing the main door are considered bad feng shui because cosmic energy, or Chi, enters the house through the front door. If the bathroom faces the front door, most of the good energy will easily escape through the bathroom, there will be little and no good feng shui energy entering the house. Is the front door facing the back door suitable for feng shui? In feng shui, it is a mistake to have the front door facing the back door. The vitality in the house will escape to the outside. Is the staircase opposite the front door suitable for feng shui? When the stairs face the front door, the energy quickly rushes to the higher floor. This causes the main floor to not have good feng shui energy. Is the main entrance mirror facing the front door suitable for feng shui? The mirror facing the main door is one of the two taboos in feng shui. The reason why you should not place a mirror opposite the main door is because the mirror will push all the good feng shui energy into the house. When the house receives energy through, the large mirror will push away all the good energy.

Tourists can see the fortune cat at countless shops in the land of the rising sun next to the cashier desk or in front of the door.

Lucky cat Maneki-neko – fortune cat in Japan. Fortune cats with raised claws, red ears, often hanging coins or gold bars, are believed by many to have the ability to bring luck and prosperity through the centuries. It is also considered as one of the typical cultural products of the land of the rising sun. Here are some interesting facts about this famous statue. The origin is confused Fortune cats are usually white or made of gold, sold in Asian souvenir shops or Chinatowns around the world. This makes many people think that they are of Chinese origin, but in fact they are of Japanese origin. The lucky cat is called Maneki-neko, which in Japanese means “beckoning cat”. Foreign guests may mistakenly think they are saying goodbye. However, in Japan, unlike Western cultures, the way to greet is with the palm facing forward, the finger pointing down, which means that the fortune cat is “calling customers” into the store. The genius cat travels the world It remains unclear how these iconic statues spread beyond the Japanese islands to become famous throughout Asia and the rest of the world. According to a research project led by Bill Maurer, a professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Irvine, the fortune-telling cat statues date back to the Meiji period (1868-1912). In an effort to polish its image with Westerners, the Meiji Government issued the Public Ethics Ordinance in 1872. Accordingly, charms that were not displayed in prostitution, and fortune cats were prohibited. Use as an alternative decoration. From there, they began to be popular in Asian countries and communities. Then, the explosion of Japanese popular culture during the “Cool Japan” era in the 1980s and 1990s, which coincided with the second wave of Chinese immigration to the US, further helped the cat’s popularity. more worldwide. Appears everywhere in Japan In the land of the rising sun, fortune cats are popular and can be found everywhere. The Manekineko Museum of Art in Okayama displays a collection of more than 700 fortune-telling cat statues from across the ages. Cat statues are also honored every year in September when the Manekineko festival is held in many cities across Japan. In Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, there is even a street named Manekineko, where dozens of ceramic cat statues are on display. In Tokyo, you can go to Gotokuji Temple or Imado Shrine. And of course, you can see the genius cat at countless shops, restaurants… in the land of the rising sun. The meaning of the cat statue Over the centuries, the genius cat has had many different versions, serving many human purposes. The statue is blue to pray for peace when participating in traffic. Pink to pray for charm, yellow to pray for fortune and prosperity. Cats wag their right paws to “call” money and luck, but cats wag their left paws to “call” friends and customers. Cat ornaments such as ryo (an oval Japanese coin) represent wealth, and bibs or bells show the Japanese people’s affection and care for cats.

Do you know what are the 7 main feng shui mistakes that many homeowners make?

The main door is a very important item of the house in terms of aesthetics, functionality and feng-shui. Therefore, Feng Shui expert Song Ha noted that homeowners need to always keep the main door clean and well ventilated. 1. Put broom, dust off in front of the door Feng shui points out that the main door of the house is the path for the god of fortune to enter the house. This is the place to help you invite lucky god to visit, make you happy, always happy, abundant money, convenient work. If you put the broom in front of your house, the bacteria in the broom will spread the effects of your health and drive your fortune out of your home. In addition, this also makes your life always in trouble. 2. Leave the shoebox on the left side of the main door In the main door area on the right hand side is the white tiger, the left hand side is the dragon looking from the house. Shoe cabinets are only allowed to leave the white tiger on the right hand side of the main door absolutely not to the left. The dragon fruit side of the main door that leaves the shoe closet will activate the young people, many people deceive the bad guys to prevail. 3. Dirty carpet to main door Many families have a habit of placing carpet at the front door to clean their feet and shoes before entering the house. But you should regularly wash the carpet thoroughly, never let the dirty carpet not wash for a long time. Because the door is the face of the homeowner when you place the dirty carpet in front of the house, it will increase the negative energy that adversely affects the airflow leading into the house. 4. Place the mirror opposite the main door or keep the mirror on the right hand side of the main door Feng shui expert Song Ha. One of the big caveats is to put a mirror straight across the door. Because when you open the door, seeing the reflection at the door will make your spirit feel insecure, panic, affect your sleep, not good for your health. In science, we see that the mirror opposite the door will have a dark, bleak image in the backlit mirror. In addition, according to feng shui, the mirror has strong reflections, opposite the door, will prevent Than Tai and good air flow into the house, fortunately being pushed back out affecting your home’s temperament. On the right hand side of the main door, the side of the white tiger needs to be calm, but hanging the mirror will cause a stir. 5. Big trees are planted opposite the main door of the project When planting large trees in front of your house, the light will be blocked from reaching your home. Preventing the light from entering your home will make it difficult for your fortune to enter your home. In addition, planting large trees in front of the house will make it difficult for positive energy to flow into the house, affecting your family’s health and damaged wealth. 6. The main door opposite the stairs slopes down to the door The stairs also work to circulate air in your home. If the stairs slope down to the main door, it will look like a waterfall of gas rushing to the main door is a symbol of the loss of money. In addition, when the stairs are opposite the main door, private stories of families are also easily leaked 7. The steps to the main door, the floor of the main door are cracked The main door is like a mouth to collect resources, but the main door step, the tiled main door floor is broken or the main door collapses … like a face with an ulcerated mouth, open a frog. .. This adversely affects airflow in the home and causes an economic slowdown and a decrease in household air conditioning.

The elite can no longer afford to buy safety in the midst of a crisis. They also have nowhere to fly to as most countries have limited Indian tourists.
On the morning of April 24, 12 private planes carrying the Indian super-rich landed in Dubai just before the UAE banned flights from the South Asian country, according to Business Insider .

A day earlier, eight similar aircraft departed from New Delhi and landed in London just hours before the UK officially put India on the “red list”. India is facing the second wave of epidemics, such as a “tsunami” with tremendous devastation. In the past 5 consecutive days, the number of new Covid-19 infections is over 300,000 cases / day. India broke down in the midst of the Covid-19 “tsunami”. Photo: QZ. The number of sick and fatalities is so great that hospitals, morgue and cremation grounds are overloaded. Severe medical oxygen scarcity has caused many patients to share a ventilator, some of whom do not survive right in front of the hospital. According to the Fortune India The epidemic has become so serious that the super-rich – those who have never been affected by poverty or natural disasters – are no longer safe. Running abroad on expensive private flights is considered the most likely option. And if they get stuck because flights have been halted and the borders closed, many people have come to realize that in the midst of this dire Covid-19 crisis, money is not going to help them buy the same perks as before. When money can’t buy oxygen Talking about the fleeing of the super-rich in recent days, journalist and historian Hindol Sengupta relates to deeper problems in Indian society: rich and poor disparities and rich people are only worried about it. live by yourself. “The long-standing bad habit in India is just to keep your house clean, you can dump trash right in front of the door. The moment the junk was out there, it was someone else’s problem. Who cares about the poor having to deal with its consequences when the well-off can still hide in their homes? ”Mr. Sengupta said. Over the years, the rich are getting richer, but their social progress and development have declined. Instead of campaigning to improve public services that serve all, the Indian elite and the middle class have found an easier way: spending money to buy private services. The Covid-19 wave left hospitals in India exhausted and depleted of oxygen. Photo: AFP. “Regardless of what happens to the rest of the country, they are comfortable with their own perks.” No matter what a crisis is, electricity, water, roads or air pollution, rich people just need to splash money. If the pollution is severe, they buy air filters at home and in the office. The city is insecure, they can hire a 24/7 private security guard. The health system is poor, they seek private doctors or quickly go abroad for treatment … “The Indian rich do not understand that not privatizing everything, a stable society, which ensures the most basic things such as health and education for everyone, is the foundation for development. sustainable, ”said Mr. Sengupta. Time of salvation The ongoing “Tsunami” of Covid-19 is said to be a landmark. Now, even the most expensive and exclusive hospitals run out of something as basic as oxygen. The elite gradually realized they could no longer spend money to get out of this crisis and had nowhere to fly to because most countries such as Canada, UAE, Thailand, Maldives, UK are in turn. processing tourists from India. The Indian super-rich flee abroad on private planes. Photo: Shutterstock. The scholar Abhinav Prakash argues that this is a time when Indians become more deeply aware of inequality in society and towards specific solutions. “Health insurance cannot help in a health crisis without infrastructure. No matter how expensive your health insurance is, it doesn’t make any sense if the hospital runs out of bed, lacks equipment, runs out of oxygen, “Prakash said. India, and most importantly, a growing rich middle class need to realize that public services are the backbone of a united society. “You can throw trash outside, but the stench of trash still gets into your closed doors and windows. It will make you suffocate. Big change comes from times like now. If the rich and relatively wealthy in India realize that their future is tied to a better public service system, it may be the time to save the country, ”wrote journalist Sengupta.
