When building a house, the issue that every homeowner pays special attention to is the cost. If the budget is tight, how can you still have a decent house?

Architect Vo The Duy (CTA | Creative Architects) will guide you through four effective ways to save money on construction costs. Clearly define the necessary space needs First, the homeowner needs to assess the needs of the space used for clarity. In addition to the sleeping space, the kitchen, living room or separate toilet space for each room can be reduced or eliminated depending on the case. Besides determining the space the family really needs, homeowners should think about grouping common spaces (spaces with similar functions together), such as kitchen – dining, or guest – eating, studying. – common activities… The grouping of spaces is valuable when choosing a covering solution. For open spaces, common living, the covering solution can be eliminated, both saving costs and creating a ventilation environment for this area. The less space, the more economical and quick the construction and maintenance. A model of love housing groups spaces, dividing areas that need to be covered and not covered to limit the wall area. Prioritize main space With a tight budget, you should not spread the investment to every space in the house. For example, most Vietnamese people are interested in the living room, so we can invest money for finishing materials or furniture for chairs, tables, lamps… for this area. The remaining spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms save costs, use sparingly for design. For some individuals who prioritize sleeping space, on the contrary, they will prioritize investment in beds, cabinets, glass doors, lighting… Choose a simple solution, easy construction The simple selection of materials and construction methods will reduce the cost of materials, accompanying construction equipment, quality control, etc. Besides, it also saves construction and travel time. Calculating the optimal use of materials, limiting redundancy is also a way to save construction costs. Wall house (CTA | Creative Architects) uses burnt brick walls – defective products to reuse for facades, reducing costs for materials as well as finishing and maintenance. Take advantage of the available, natural element Using old materials such as bricks, tiles, wood, old doors or using local materials will save money on buying materials and transportation costs. Taking advantage of the surrounding landscape for works with vacant land is also very important. For example, taking advantage of the shade of trees and lakes to get shade and cool the wind.

The house is not only small, but the layout of the stairs and toilet also makes many people ‘sweat’.
With a large land area, the arrangement of interior spaces is not difficult, but with a cramped house, homeowners will have a headache how to have enough rooms and still save space. If this is the case, the homeowners will choose to make full use of the space in the house, avoiding waste.

Recently, a netizen shared a picture of a house with a small area, perhaps less than 2m wide. So the owner had to take advantage of a very small space next to the stairs to make a toilet. When the picture was shared, many people “rolled their eyes” because they couldn’t believe there was such a house. Although the owner tries to take advantage of the area, it seems that there is no entrance to the toilet. In fact, if you look closely, you can see that the owner has cleverly arranged the entrance to be a small board, which can be folded and stored when there is no need to go to the toilet. Most netizens think that this toilet is suitable for those who are adventurous and love to explore. However, the toilet does not have a door, so it is a bit embarrassing to go to the bathroom. “The owner is in the style of an action and adventure movie. If you have a stomachache and have to go to the toilet, this must be very scary.” , one netizen commented. Another said: “If you have to go to this toilet at night, you may fall face down. For those with a history of fear of narrow spaces, they probably won’t dare to go to this toilet again.” However, the narrow toilet is one thing, the detail that makes netizens equally afraid is the stairs. “The stairs are both narrow, steep and without handrails, going up and down this way is scary, even more scary than sitting in the other toilet.” A netizen expressed an opinion. Not long ago, a netizen shared a picture of a rather long house but less than 1m wide, surprising everyone. The sharer asked whether the owner of this house will sleep horizontally or vertically. As observed from the photo taken, the width of the house is not equal to a small table. Even if it’s hard for two people to go in For a person entering and leading a motorbike, it was also difficult to the point of leaning over. This image is real and not a photoshop product. This is the house of a resident in Dong Nai province. In the past, the image of this house has also caused a “network storm”. Inside the house there is a ground floor and a floor, an area of 1.3m x 10m.

Komorebi project is renovated from an old house on a high slope located in the heart of Da Lat city.

Komorebi [木漏れ日] is a Japanese word that means “sunbeams through the leaves”. According to AD9 Architects, the word Komorebi has many special layers of meaning, which are difficult to describe in other languages. . Therefore, the meaning of this word Komorebi we can understand with many other special meanings. The purpose of the project is to create a stopover for tourists here, the rooms are designed with sufficient area, minimalist interior, pure space for accommodation needs. The overall function of the project emphasizes the applicability as well as the living habits for guests to experience. Komorebi project has an area of 150 m² located in the center of Da Lat city. Komorebi stands out in the middle of Da Lat city because the house has white tones throughout with many different shaped windows. When starting the conceptual work for the project, Architects AD9 Architects identified Komorebi as a subject and the surrounding context as the core element. The elements around are linked in the most natural way. Here, the main shapes and colors chosen by the architect are simply self-perceptions derived from the above concept. People and scenes revolve around things become connected and harmonious, ensuring the new existence of the work is balanced and inseparable from the actual context. The building was renovated from an old house on a high slope. True to the meaning of the work, when stepping inside, it is filled with light, like “sunbeams through the leaves”. Architects AD9 Architects use wooden doorways and slats to express the meaning of the building “sunbeams through the leaves”.

The French architectural firm designed the house to resemble a tree and created a ‘result’ that surprised everyone.
To celebrate the architecture of the Boulogne-Billancourt commune (France), the Paris-based architecture firm Jakob + MacFarlane designed La Maison Connectée (The Connected House) – a contemporary house inspired by a tree. Designed with a double facade, this multi-faceted sculptural house is a continuation of the experimental housing in Boulogne-Billancourt. La Maison Connectee is designed to reduce energy use and is equipped with a smart home automation system. The underground water system in the house can provide energy for heating and electricity.

The architects have created a house that combines a biomeasurement system, energy efficiency and modern design. Completed in 2017, this 750 square meter home has 3 floors, a basement and a terrace. The terrace and outdoor balcony are inserted between the two facades. Metal façades provide privacy and shading to all glazed rooms. The architects explained: “The main spaces of the house spread like successive layers of a tree, from the indoor space to the front of the house. The house is designed as a three-dimensional matrix, layer after layer.” To preserve the neighborhood’s history, the architects retained the existing black metal fence and planted shrubs and large trees around the site. This house project has been approved by both the Architect of the French Building and APP – the organization that protects the Parc des Princes district.

Tien’s house was built on old land in Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province. The design team said that the concept of the house was designed and executed in a surprising and emotional way.

Stilt house is a typical type of house in the southwest river region. The old house was formed in 1968, so it has revealed many traces of time. In addition, the flood season in Hong Ngu does not rise to the residential area as before, so the stilt house becomes no longer suitable for the current life rhythm. Tien’s house is located in Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap province, adjacent to a river. Tien’s house has an area of 119 m². The problem posed for the Ha workshop design team is to create a close, open, cozy space.

Skylights play an important role in improving air, especially in tube houses. When designing a skylight, homeowners need to understand the basic principles to bring nature into the home.
The skylight can be understood as the connecting part from the ground floor to the rooftop of the house. In addition to taking light, the skylight also has the function of ventilation and air convection.

With tube houses in urban areas, the interior is often dark, so many homeowners build a skylight well from the ground floor to the terrace, then cover the light with roofing panels. Light will shine through the roofing to brighten the indoor space. Size The size of the skylight depends on the area of the house but should not be less than 1m2. The higher the house, the wider the well. The skylight is composed of 3 parts, including: the foot in contact with the ground, the back and the roof. Sky wells usually account for 10% of the housing construction area. (Illustration) Sky-wells can arrange plants, flowers, rockery in combination with living space or dining room. The back section is the lighting for the upper floors. The roof is for lighting and ventilation. According to construction codes, the area of the skylight usually accounts for 10% of the housing construction area. If the house is more than 100m2 of construction space, the ventilation should be 20%. However, this ratio depends on the shape as well as the height of the house to create a corresponding empty area for air circulation. Material Currently, architects often use glass roof materials or smart plastic roofs with iron frames to protect the skylight. If the house is too narrow, you can use clear glass or plastic to increase the light into the house. Or you can reduce the intensity of the light of the skylight by using color materials for the roof, creating enough brightness while cooling the interior of the house. The current trend is to use glass roof materials or smart plastic roofs with iron frames to protect the skylights. (Illustration) To bring nature into the home, homeowners can use hanging pots or green vines on the wall. Under the floor, mixed with ornamental plants, homeowners can create small lakes, drop fish or flowers to create a balance in terms of feng-shui. If a small skylight space can be graveled, put a few more ceramic pots or decorations, to bring a cool highlight to the house. On the wall of the skylight, homeowners can clad rocks as highlights, decorative patterns vividly for the wall. Location The trend of clearance to get light and wind from the roof is widely used in tubular houses with only one open side. To maximize the effect of the sky well, the homeowner should only place the skylight in the back or middle of the house. The back part of the house is always dark and mysterious, so the “exchange” with the air and light is very necessary. Wind circulation direction has way in and out. It is the vent that creates the suction force to let air go from the front doors into the house or vice versa. Skylights are usually located in the center or back of the house. (Illustration) The most common is the skylight located on the staircase area. This is the most suitable place because the stairs are usually located in the middle of the house and adjacent to the kitchen. If the house is too long, it is necessary to have more holes in the back of the house to circulate the air. Therefore, the number of skylights can be more than 1, depending on the design, it can be 2-3 sky wells. Solution against sun, rain Skylights play an important role in improving air, especially in tube homes. However, if the sky well design is not properly designed, it will become the place to transfer heat into the house when it is hot or the courtyard is the culprit pouring water into the house every time it rains. If improperly designed, the skylight can become a place to transfer heat into the home. (Illustration) To bring into play the effect of preventing heat and avoiding rain in the courtyard, it is necessary to combine the following solutions at the same time: Avoid organizing the corridor inside the house because it will make the spaces more pressing; use open partitions to divide the indoor space; Cover direct sunlight or paint brightly on courtyard walls; planting trees; to limit the use of dark cement and stone bricks; use heat-resistant paint for skylights; using automatic misting system … Safe Skylights are most likely unsafe to use, especially with young children. Therefore, if there are no flowers or safety nets between floors in the sky well, it is necessary to pay attention to the system of adjacent windows and handrails to ensure a safe height. The spokes in the railing should not be too wide to prevent children from passing through. Phuong Anh (synthetic)

When Maria Alison (29, Sunderland) was engaged, her stepfather gave the couple a pink kettle and toaster, according to Metro.

Seeing cute, from there, Alison’s love for the color rose. She constantly purchases personal items, furniture, and home appliances with this color. “At first, Aaron Mordey, my husband, thought my hobby wouldn’t last and even found it funny. But over time, he also enjoyed the things I bought, even buying one by himself. The motorcycle is pink and often invites friends to play to show off about the house, “said Alison. In total, the couple spent about 14,000 USD to “pink” the house. Most of the furniture in Alison’s house is pink. Photo: Maria Alison. “When I first bought the house in 2019, my husband and I mainly decorated it with gray colors, only the few were pink and white. However, since the love for pink has increased, the amount of space in the house with its presence is increasing, “the wife said. The Alison couple both love the color pink. Photo: Maria Alison. To be satisfied, the couple takes care of most of the arrangement and decoration in the house. The private room of two pet dogs named Jeff and Bow is also the main color of bright pink. Known for her passion for pink, Alison is also often given gifts in this color by many friends and relatives. To share her hobbies, Alison also set up an Instagram page to post pictures of every corner of her house. This page currently has more than 4,000 followers and has received many positive comments from followers of the Pink. “I am still not satisfied with the ‘pink’ of the current house. I will try to improve it more and more, so that the house becomes something that shows my unique, hobby,” Alison said.

1 / Please unplug electrical appliances when not in use

Even when you are not using it, appliances in your home are still silently consuming energy. You can save up to 35% on your monthly electricity bill by simply turning off and unplugging unused electrical equipment. 2 / Replace light bulbs with energy-saving ones Energy-saving bulbs, such as compact fluorescent lamps and LEDs, use up to 80% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and last up to 25 times longer. Although fluorescent lighting may not suit everyone’s taste, there are more and more light bulb options on the market, suitable for most indoor spaces. 3 / Selection of energy-saving equipment By choosing electronics – refrigeration appliances with an energy rating of 3.5 stars or higher and a 4-star water-saving rating on washing machines and dishwashers, you can both save money and save money at the same time. environmental protection. Front load washers use about 50% less water and consume only half the energy of top load washers. 4 / Find and immediately seal leaks You should check your plumbing and faucets at least once a year, especially in the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet. A leaky toilet can waste up to 700 liters of water a day and can easily be missed if you don’t systematically check. 5 / Install motion sensor By installing an external motion sensor, you will avoid having to enter the house in the dark when you come home late, but also without having to leave the lights on before the day. The sensor and timer functions mean you’ll never have to remember to turn the lights on or off again. 6 / Change the shower head in the bathroom Replacing a regular showerhead with a water-efficient one can save you up to 20 liters per minute. Contrary to popular belief, low flow doesn’t mean low water pressure; New showerhead models use air to increase water pressure while still allowing you to conserve water and energy. This is a great option for tenants as you can invest in a quality water-saving shower to use during the rental period, then bring it with you when you move to another rental location./ .

As a food reporter, I regularly work and meet my partners in many cafes around Ho Chi Minh City. The four criteria for a destination I choose are good quality, quiet drinks, well-designed space and staff attitude to professional guests. The 5 suggestions below can help you choose a site that’s right for you. These are the places I go to, especially when working alone. Suggested dishes: Bottle milk tea, pea flower latte, coldbrew, spaghetti with minced beef sauce … Beanthere Cafe is nestled in the old apartment building on Dong Khoi street. Since it’s on the top floor and there is no elevator, I have to walk to the shop. In return, I have interesting experiences here. First, Beanthere Cafe has diverse designs for each customer needs. I find indoor space with comfortable wooden furniture to get my job done. Here, there are many positions with glass, creating an open space and flooded with light. The balcony is where you can see the Bach Dang River and the rooftop with Bitexco view. Second, the destination for drinks is not too unique in taste, but quite plentiful. I often choose to enjoy coffee or tea, cakes on light music. Finally, the staff are friendly and attentive, always have cold water ready and chat when guests arrive. Suggested dishes: Strawberry passion fruit tea, red pomegranate tea, dalgona, homemade fruit tea, goji berry tea … When I asked about a suitable quiet space to work, my college friend introduced Gracious Coffee. My first impression is peaceful space. When I arrived, the shop did not have too many customers, most of them sitting alone or gathered in groups. The shop has a minimalist design, details such as clocks, sofas, wooden shelves, door frames … are decorated in harmony with white – brown tones. Despite the common space, the areas are divided according to the needs and the number of guests. In the front there is a fresh garden with many green patches. The menu featured fruit tea and cakes decorated beautifully. The staff at the restaurant are not many, there are only 2 friends who mix and serve, but the water rises quickly, the security man is fast and enthusiastic. If you are coming here for the first time, you should pay attention because the Gracious Coffee does not have a sign. Suggested dishes: Chamomile Tea, Citrus cold brew, chrysanthemum longan tea, sexy reddy … 80’s Coffee, a 24-hour coffee shop, is a frequent destination for many young people when they need to work overnight. The highlight of the restaurant is not only the opening time but also in the semi-classical decoration style with brick walls, wooden tables combined with golden lights, making the space light and relaxed. The menu has a variety of exotic drinks, the price is quite high but the quality is commensurate with. In addition, the shop also serves cakes and savory cakes from VND 35,000. Suggested dishes: Earl gray tea, egg coffee, mixed berries cascara tea, coffee cereal … When it comes to choosing a workplace or meeting with friends, Oromia is my most trusted destination. The shop has many branches, located in District 1 near Bitexco and walking street, so it is convenient to move. There are indoor and outdoor spaces, multiple check-in corners and seasonal décor. The minus point lies in drinks that taste quite normal but at high prices. The salon also needs to overcome the prevention of food smell. Suggested dishes: Lemongrass kumquat tea with chia seeds, Amazing tea, black tea with cream, chocolate ice blended … Amazing Coffee impresses diners thanks to the modern Tay Nguyen architectural style, open space with many trees. The shop has a private area for large groups of people. Places are ideal for those who want to find places to work, talk and date. Located in the heart of District 1, but the price is not high compared to the quality and service that customers receive. Professional staff, gentle talk. Drinks have investment and are geared towards health. DOWNTOWN is a series that recommends places to eat from those who have experienced the service. In each article, we introduce different types of restaurants with typical dishes, suggesting and giving readers more options before going to the restaurant.

We went to 2 people for 900,000 VND including 1 crab, 3 abalone, 3 cheese scallops, 2 slices of grilled tiger shrimp, 1 plate of fried squid, 1 plate of rice. seafood roasting.
Dragonfly Bistro & Skybar

Thanks to its high position, the restaurant is where you can see the entire Duong Dong town and the coast in the distance.
Reviews of customers:

Nakiti Na: “The shop is a bit difficult to find. The view is nice, the view is ideal, the music is good. I call it tropical fruit and red dragon fruit. It’s quite crowded, so it’s noisy.”

Vien Pink: “The space is cool, there are many beautiful corners. The food and drinks of the restaurant are just above average. The cost for 3 of my dishes is 255,000 VND”.

Kunno Jayson: “Drinks are high priced but suitable for such a unique location. Some drinks are sold by the hour. The restaurant is quite crowded so it is difficult to choose nice seats.”

Tree House

Located in Nam Nghi resort, Tree House restaurant has a view at the end of Mong Tay cape. Located under the canopy of ancient trees, the restaurant has 3 sea views to see. Here, you can enjoy fresh seafood caught on the spot.
