The hair-growing doll is considered one of the most famous horror stories in Japan. More specifically, it is a true story and so far, people can visit and see this creepy doll with their own eyes.
In the world, there are countless stories about dolls that make us shudder just hearing them. People often whisper about dolls with strange abilities or know to do things that no scientist can explain.

Among them, it is impossible to ignore Okiku, also known as “Haunted Doll” in Japan. A series of terrifying phenomena with no explanation happened around this doll. Even though the story happened over 100 years ago, people still shudder at the mention of Okiku dolls. In Japan, people still talk about the legend of a doll that grows hair with the soul of a girl – the ghost doll Okiku. Close-up of Okiku doll that can grow hair There have been many legends about Okiku in the past, but the story that people spread widely is that it was bought by 17-year-old boy – Eikichi Suzuki for his sister in 1918. This doll was bought by her. 3 year old baby Kikuko loves it. Every day no matter where he goes, Kikuko takes it with him and even hugs it when he goes to sleep. After an incident of cold and high fever, little Kikuko passed away. From there, things started to get weird. For the past 100 years, Okiku’s hair has continued to grow, despite being trimmed once a year. If before, Okiku’s hair was just chin-length, now it’s knee-length. Although often cut short, but the hair does not stop growing. They think this is a sign that in the doll there is the soul of the little girl Kikuko. Mannenji temple in Hokkaido In 1938, Kikuko’s family decided to move to another place. They think the best way is to send it to Mannenji temple, in the town of Iwamizawa , Hokkaido. Also share its secrets with the monks. Since then, Okiku has remained in the temple. After hearing the legend of this magical doll, many people came here to see it, but they were not allowed to take pictures. The Okiku doll’s brain continues to grow and it could grow longer if the monks don’t trim it regularly. One of the monks at the temple said he started doing so after having a dream that Okiku asked him to cut her hair. So far, no one can explain why the doll’s hair keeps growing so long. Some sources also believe that the doll’s hair has been tested and concluded that it is a child’s hair, although this information has not been confirmed. The story of the Okiku doll has since become the inspiration for traditional Japanese novels, films and plays. Okiku dolls with their hair growing day by day are placed in the Mannenji temple in Hokkaido. Because dolls still exist to this day and the phenomenon of long hair still occurs. So many people have come up with many theories to try to explain from the scientific point of view this legend. The first hypothesis that came up was that some of the cells weren’t completely dead yet. The hair glue has inadvertently become a source of nutrition for these cells to continue to grow. However, this theory has a flaw that cannot explain why hair can grow to shoulder length. In addition, changes in temperature and humidity from the surrounding environment also lead to rapid hair growth. Besides, it is also said that the long hair is actually because the doll is built with long curls but only reveals a short part, the remaining hair is hidden in the doll’s head. However, these explanations are still not fully convincing because the doll’s hair is in fact neatly combed and tied – something that would not be possible if the doll’s head still had long hair. Although science is very advanced, but because of people’s spiritual beliefs, scientific researchers cannot access to carry out the necessary research to definitively explain the mysterious phenomenon. For that reason, up to now, all explanations have only been hypothesized. Okiku doll’s hair continues to grow and it can grow longer if the monks don’t trim it regularly. One of the monks at the temple said he started doing it after having a dream that Okiku asked him to cut her hair. To this day, no one has been able to explain why the doll’s hair keeps growing so long.

Naomi Watanabe is a very popular Japanese actress, partly because of her many talents, partly because of her relaxed, friendly style. With an Instagram account of nearly 10 million followers, Naomi is not afraid to share everyday moments, even making herself ugly rather than painting her life.

Recently, Naomi moved to New York (USA) for work, but Naomi’s latest photos show that she is not only creative, but still working hard to stay connected with her native Japan. Looks like sushi. Photo: Naomi Watanabe, Yuni Yoshida. Naomi recently introduced the Spring Summer collection for her Punyus fashion line, with photos that viewers won’t want to take their eyes off. In those photos, at first, most people thought they were typical Japanese sushi pieces. But looking closely, it turned out to be… Naomi. It’s also not a collage of Naomi’s face on a piece of sushi, but just a way of using light, color, angle …, to make Naomi look like she turned into sushi. Photo: Naomi Watanabe, Yuni Yoshida. In fact, Naomi is wearing a white outfit, sitting in front of a very large white cotton ball, holding many colorful objects to look like sushi.
Sheet South China Morning Post Taiwan announced on April 22 that it would protect its own security, after Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said that Tokyo would not engage in the military if Taiwan was attacked. Ms. Au Giang An (Joanne Ou) – spokesperson for Taiwan External Relations – said on April 22: “Self-protection of security is an unshakeable task for us and Taiwan will take on your own responsibility to protect people’s homes and protect this island ”. Ms. Au Giang An (Joanne Ou) – the spokesperson of the Taiwan External Relations Agency. Photo: TAIWAN NEWS Earlier, speaking at the National Assembly on April 20, Prime Minister Suga emphasized that although the US-Japan Joint Declaration, issued after the summit between Mr. Suga and US President Joe Biden, mentioned the issue. But Japanese forces will not engage in any military situation around the island. In response to a question from an opposition politician in the National Assembly on April 20 about the details of Japan’s commitment to Taiwan, Mr. Suga stated “no military participation is expected”. According to the SCMP Analysts say Japan’s constitution will not allow the military to enter the war in the event that China tries to capture Taiwan by force, but Tokyo can provide the United States with logistical and rear-end support. In the statement, Mr. Biden and Mr. Suga called for “peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait”. This is the first time the US and Japan have mentioned the Taiwan issue in a joint statement in more than 50 years. The two sides also said they would counter China’s “threat” in the Asia-Pacific region. The US-Japan statement has aroused strong protests from China, when it warned that Tokyo and Washington should stay away from “internal affairs” related to Taiwan. Over the weekend, the Chinese military’s Eastern Zone, which oversees the Taiwan Strait, deployed dozens of H-6K strategic bombers to participate in a nine-hour live-fire drill. , according to the China Central Television (CCTV) . Previously, the Taiwan External Relations Agency on April 22 said the US-Japan defense alliance is the foundation of peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. The agency also said the reference in the joint statement reflects the two countries’ strong consensus on security in the Taiwan Strait and Indo-Pacific. “We welcome the international community’s concern about trans-strait peace and stability … and it is our responsibility to protect our security,” the statement said. “Taiwan will continue to liaise and cooperate closely with the US, Japan and other like-minded countries in maintaining stability across the strait as well as maintaining security and prosperity in the Indian Ocean region. – Pacific “- stated clearly. China always considers Taiwan its territory and does not rule out the possibility of using force to unify. The Taiwan-strait relations have been strained since Thai Anh Van, who opposed the “one China” policy, became the island’s leader in 2016.

The florist who insists on relying on craftsmanship

he is the one

Japan’s most handsome floral master

Enomoto Shinya

I am willing to be like all Japanese craftsmen

slowly

Do one thing in a lifetime. ”

—Enomoto Shinya

The concept of craftsmanship of Mr. Shinya Enomoto is consistent with our ancient “frozen three feet, not a day’s cold; for the mountain nine ren, is a day’s work.” This concept coincides with the international brand of jewelry, BEAUFINA’s commitment to the excellent quality of jewelry Perseverance and sympathy.

From the pursuit of art to the exquisite work; from creating extraordinary innovative designs and to “slowly, do one thing in a lifetime”; from smelling the fragrance of flowers and pleasing the eyes and hearts to women expressing their spiritual joy with jewelry, There is an amazing agreement between BEAUFINA’s jewelry concept of “pleasure oneself” and Mr. Shinya Enomoto.

Teacher Enomoto makes good use of flowers and leaf materials of different colors and textures. On the basis of traditional Japanese flower art, he combines European flower art to show a brand-new European-Japanese flower art style.

Recently, the international jewelry brand BEAUFINA has joined hands with Mr. Shinya Enomoto, the most handsome floral master in Japan, drawing inspiration from the profound “artisan spirit” and embarking on a floral experience journey. This is the ultimate collision of dazzling sparkle and concentration, creating a romantic atmosphere for the wearers of BEAUFINA light luxury jewelry.

In recent years, the domestic jewelry industry has ushered in a period of rapid development. But what is hidden is the serious contradiction between the urgent need for transformation and upgrading of the industry and the homogenization of market competition. In this context, how to innovate and attract more consumers’ attention has become an urgent issue for major jewelry brands to solve.

This time, BEAUFINA has joined hands with Japanese florists to integrate the experience of vision, touch and smell, and strive to create a marketing form of innovative experience. It has injected gurgling water into the jewelry industry with serious marketing homogeneity, and brought more high-quality experiences to consumers.

One pursues handed down works in the flower art world, and the other creates a light luxury trend in the jewelry industry. The encounter is accidental and inevitable. The story between us wrote a big “to be continued”, maybe it was just the beginning.

In a cabinet meeting held this morning, the Japanese government officially decided to discharge the Fukushima nuclear waste water into the sea.

The Japanese government believes that after diluting nuclear waste to a concentration below the standard, the method of discharging it into the atmosphere or the sea is more feasible, and requires Tokyo Electric Power Company to make preparations. The dumping operation will start in two years and last for ten years.

The Japanese side claims that the treated nuclear sewage is safe, and the radioactive tritium content is equivalent to one-seventh of the tritium concentration of the World Health Organization’s drinking water standard, and the International Atomic Energy Agency approves the discharge of Japanese sewage into the sea.

Since the 311 earthquake occurred in Japan in 2011, about 1,000 water storage tanks have been stacked near the Fukushima nuclear power plant to preserve the sewage that has contacted the nuclear reactor and the containment of the cooling reactor core. According to Tepco’s data as of March 18, The island’s first nuclear power plant has stored 1,250,844 cubic meters of sewage.

The total amount of sewage stored in the storage tanks built by TEPCO in Fukushima is 1.37 million cubic meters (as of December 11, 2020), and cooling nuclear sewage is continuously generated. If it is not discharged or transferred, the nuclear sewage will be Will face no space to store.

Therefore, for TEPCO, there is not much time left for Japan to hesitate, and the government needs to confirm the discharge to sea water as soon as possible.

Although the Japanese government and TEPCO Chen Japan are already unable to store and treat nuclear sewage, it is necessary to discharge it into the sea, but Japanese non-governmental organizations and many Japanese people strongly oppose it.

Over 320 Japanese people protested in front of the Prime Minister’s residence. TheyHolding up the slogan “Don’t Discharge Nuclear Wastewater”, he asked the government to withdraw the discharge decision.

Asahi Shimbun interview62-year-old protest memberInoue NyohiroMeans:”The country said it had to have a proper explanation, but it did not reach an agreement with the fishermen. The unilateral emission decision process is undemocratic. ”

According to a previous survey by Japan’s Asahi Shimbun, more than 55% of the people opposed the discharge of nuclear sewage.

The president of Japan’s National Fisheries Cooperative Association issued a statement on April 13 saying that he regrets the decision (of the Japanese government) and cannot tolerate it. Believing that this is a behavior that tramples on the feelings of all Japanese fishery practitioners, he said that his attitude against dumping into the sea will not change in the future.

Japan is a close neighbor of our country. Once discharged, our country will inevitably be affected by nuclear sewage.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country said in a statement: “Japan has not exhausted safe disposal methods, regardless of domestic and foreign questions and opposition, and without full consultation with neighboring countries and the international community, unilaterally decided to dispose of nuclear waste water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident by way of drainage. Being responsible will seriously damage international public health and safety and the vital interests of people in neighboring countries.”

The South Korean government also believes that Japan’s decision was made without the consent of neighboring countries. It strongly opposes this and should ensure the openness and transparency of nuclear waste water information.

There are currently 31 South Korean organizations in a joint statement condemning Japan’s nuclear wastewater discharge plan, and that Japan’s move is nuclear terrorism. Some South Korean citizens protested in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul, demanding that Japan withdraw its decision.

311 organizations from 24 countries around the world participated in the plan to oppose the discharge of Japanese nuclear sewage. On the change, 65430 people also signed the plan to oppose the discharge of Japanese nuclear sewage into the sea.

In the midst of a condemnation, the U.S. Department of Foreign Affairs responded by expressing its support for the Japanese government’s decision and believed that the Japanese approach complies with the globally recognized nuclear safety standards.

US Secretary of State Blinken expressed his gratitude to Japan for its efforts to deal with the Fukushima issue on Twitter, and looked forward to the coordination between the Japanese government and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Even after processing,

Is the nuclear sewage from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan really safe?

Japan’s basis is that the treated sewage from nuclear power plants in the world is discharged to the sea. Therefore, Fukushima nuclear sewage is discharged after treatment. Even TEPCO’s materials call this type of nuclear sewage “treated water”.

But is the nuclear sewage from the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan really the same as the sewage from a normally operating nuclear power plant? The processed and compliant data is probably just a side word of Japan.

BeforeThe US “Science” magazine has issued a warning against Japan’s discharge of nuclear sewagebehavior:“Fukushima nuclear sewageExcept tritiumThere are other radioactive isotopes, including carbon 14, cobalt 60, and strontium 90. These isotopes will have a more long-lasting and complex impact on humans. For example, the physiological concentration of carbon 14 in fish may be 50,000 times that of tritium. While cobalt 60 can be enriched in seafloor sediments, its concentration may rise 300,000 times. “

“Science” magazine stated: “The discharge of waste water with these radioisotopes exceeding the standard may pose a threat to marine life, humans who eat these organisms, and the environment itself. Not to mention, we don’t know anything about other radioisotopes except for these elements that have already been published.Discharging without removing all radioactive materials in place may seem too sloppy.”

Nuclear experts from Greenpeace also pointed out thatThe carbon 14 contained in Japan’s nuclear waste water is dangerous for thousands of years and may cause genetic damage.

Ken Buesseler, a marine chemist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in the United States, once said, “Any plan that involves release into the ocean requires an independent team to be responsible for long-term tracking of the ocean, seabed, and marine organisms. Potential pollutants. The health of the ocean and the lives of countless people depend on the proper handling of this matter. “

Liu Xinhua, chief expert of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, stated that “historical nuclear accidents, such as the Chernobyl and Three Mile Island nuclear accidents, were all released from the atmosphere. There has not been a nuclear accident similar to the Fukushima nuclear accident that produced a large amount of waste water. Therefore, there is no precedent for the discharge of waste water to the sea after the nuclear accident treatment. “

BeforeThe German Marine Science Research Institute has pointed out:The coast of Fukushima has the strongest ocean currents in the world. Within 57 days from the date of discharge, radioactive materials will spread to most of the Pacific Ocean, and in 10 years will spread to the global waters!

The earth’s ecology is a complete whole. Once Japan discharges nuclear waste water, people all over the world will be affected.

The decision was made 100 days before the Tokyo Olympics opened and amid growing concerns about the possibility of hosting the event as the number of cases is increasing inside and outside Japan.

Ehime Provincial Governor Tokihiro Nakamura said emergency health services in the region are under great pressure due to a sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. As a result, the authorities will cancel the torch procession in Matsuyama. Instead, they will hold a torch celebration without the participation of the audience, and tokyo Olympic organizers have also approved the decision.

The torch procession departed March 25 from Fukushima Prefecture in northeastern Japan and is scheduled to pass through a total of 47 prefectures before the opening of the Olympics on July 23. As planned, this torch will pass through Matsuyama City on April 21. Earlier, osaka authorities did not hold torchlight processions on the streets. Instead, torch-carrying athletes ran through an empty park due to the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases there.

According to statistics, Japan has recorded a total of more than 513,000 infections and more than 9,500 deaths from COVID-19. Notably, the total number of cases in tokyo is more than 126,000, the highest level in the country. Last week, the Government of Japan decided to allow the governments of Tokyo, Kyoto Prefecture and Okinawa Prefecture to adopt key epidemic prevention measures amid signs of a strong OUTBREAK of COVID-19. The measures are expected to be lifted in Kyoto and Okinawa prefectures on May 5, and in tokyo on May 11.

In the context of the complicated situation, on the same day, Tokyo Mayor Yuriko Koike pledged to effectively control the COVID-19 epidemic in the capital to ensure the upcoming Olympics take place safely. She stressed that between now and May 11, it will be an important period to win the fight against COVID-19 before the Olympics take place.

Meanwhile, John Coates – chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the body responsible for overseeing the preparations – expressed confidence that the Tokyo Olympics will undoubtedly take place this summer. According to him, the current anti-epidemic measures will help ensure the safety of people, athletes and other participants.

In order to minimize the risk of spread, last month, the Government of Japan officially decided not to allow foreign audiences to enter the country to watch events at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. Foreign professional athletes and coaches will be quarantined immediately after arriving in Japan. Testing for these subjects will be conducted every 3-4 days, and individuals who test negative for 14 days of quarantine can participate in training and competition with teammates.

Tokyo Olympic organizers are entering the final stages of preparation. Five agencies in charge of organizing, including the IOC and the Tokyo city government, are planning to convene a meeting before the end of April to decide how many people will be allowed into the competition area.
