Onion peel, garlic peel

Many people have the habit of peeling off the skin of onions and garlic before processing without even knowing that it is a mistake. Many people have the habit of peeling off the skin of onions and garlic before processing without even knowing that it is a mistake. They are rich in an antioxidant, called quercetin. This substance helps reduce muscle inflammation and fight allergies. You can add the peel while cooking and remove it when eating or after it’s cooked. This antioxidant seeps into the food and makes it healthier. This is one of those super good pieces of food that shouldn’t be thrown away. Peels of citrus fruits The peels of citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, grapefruits, and tangerines often contain a lot of nutrients. The skins of these fruits have 5 times more vitamin C than the intestines, and the peels also contain a lot of fiber, vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to health. In Oriental medicine, the peel of these dried fruits is called bare skin, which has a very good cough and cold relief effect. Therefore, you should take advantage of the skins of these fruits to make tea, salad or dry to use gradually to promote health. Watermelon rind The white rind of watermelon contains the amino acid citrulline. Most of us eat melons with the skin on. But from now on, keep the peel when eating watermelon because this part contains a lot of nutrients that are beneficial to health. The white rind of watermelon contains the amino acid citrulline. When entering the body, this substance will be converted into arginine, which improves circulatory function and increases blood flow, improves heart health, and helps reduce muscle fatigue effectively. Some suggestions for you to process watermelon rind are to mix salads, make mannequins or blend them with smoothie ingredients. Potato peel Did you know that potato skins have more benefits than potatoes. Potato skins contain about half as much fiber as a single potato. Throwing it away means you are throwing away calcium, vitamin B, vitamin C, iron, etc. So, when cooking potatoes, cook them with the skins on, but carefully wash them and soak them in warm water. You can take the peeled potatoes and puree them for cooking to help lower blood pressure.

South Africa throws away 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine due to contamination incident. Photo: Reuters According to RT (Russia) news agency (Russia), the South African Health Products Administration (SAHPRA) has decided not to deploy vaccination for 2 million doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine being stored at a facility in the city of Gqeberha. , as the raw materials for their production were affected by a contamination incident at the factory in Baltimore (USA). The decision comes after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that millions of doses of vaccine produced at Johnson & Johnson’s Emergent BioSolutions facility in the US city of Baltimore were not suitable for use in the United States. use. “Based on what has been announced by the FDA, batches of vaccines being stored in our Gqeberha have been affected. The batches of these vaccines correspond to about 2 million doses,” South Africa’s Acting Health Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane said on June 13. These doses of the vaccine have not and will not be used to immunize South Africans, she added. SAHPRA chief executive, Dr Boitumelo Semete, also confirmed the batch of vaccines “cannot be widely distributed.” Meanwhile, South Africa’s health watchdog said in a statement that a new batch of about 300,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine has been approved by the FDA and will be shipped to South Africa at a later date. some point. The agency did not disclose the exact date the shipments arrived. However, Mr. Semete acknowledged that the problem with Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine had a significant negative impact on South Africa’s vaccine deployment strategy. As of June 13, South Africa, the country hardest hit by the COVID-19 epidemic in Africa, has recorded about 1.7 million cases of COVID-19 and over 57,000 deaths. However, the country with a population of about 58.5 million people has only injected 183,000 doses of the vaccine to its people, as of June 9, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). South Africa is also one of the countries that is campaigning to give up patents for a COVID-19 vaccine to allow all countries to produce generic versions at low cost. “If we want to save lives and end the pandemic, we need to expand and diversify our production, put medical products into treatment, and fight and stop the pandemic for as many people as possible,” the president said. South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa speaks at a meeting with G7 countries in the UK on June 13.

While in Vietnam banana leaves are sold at a relatively cheap price, even being thrown away, in Korea a set of 9 trays of banana leaves costs up to more than 500,000 VND.
Green lifestyle is becoming the trend of the times, widely accepted by the community, so products made from natural materials are also strongly welcomed by many markets. Not only are these products friendly to the environment, these products also help add value to materials that are considered waste such as bagasse, water hyacinth, straw or banana leaves.

Recently, the image of a rather expensive product line made from banana leaves produced by Appree (Korea) company continues to surprise Vietnamese netizens. This product is called “banana leaf tray” (roughly translated: Banana leaf tray), the price ranges from 3.15 USD to 4.95 USD. Specifically, the product line has 3 sizes depending on usage needs: Small round tray with retail price from 3.15 USD (72,000 VND)/piece, large round tray from 4.95 USD (113,000 VND)/piece, Long trays cost from 4.55 USD (104,000 VND)/piece. Alternatively, you can buy as a set. Set of 3 long banana leaf trays costs $9, a set of three large round trays costs $10, a set of three small round trays costs $5 and a set of nine assorted trays costs $25, equivalent to more than VND570,000. These trays can be used to store food, cosmetics, accessories, and stationery. The manufacturer wants users to be closer to nature through easily accessible items in daily life. Instead of using plastic or stainless steel boxes, we can completely use banana leaves to create very pretty decorative trays. Moreover, banana leaves are organic waste that is easy to decompose, so it does not affect the environment like when using plastic. However, some people wonder how these banana leaf trays can be preserved? Is it easy to tear, mold, and wilt like normal banana leaves? Minh Hoa (th)

In a chaotic world where hundreds of millions of people are begging for a vaccine, our country is throwing away thousands of doses a day because Americans refuse to get vaccinated.

I felt like I was fatherless because of what we call American exceptionalism. He is still alive, I must make it clear. But our relationship is really over. In this divided country, our situation is not uncommon. Anger over the election results last November seems to have cooled down, and homes and streets have begun to quieten again. However, the instability that former President Donald Trump sparked continues, as Americans choose sides in the longer war: “Who on Earth matters?”. Opposition between the two factions One faction thinks it is right to worry about others, who are different from them, and for those they need to protect. The other side also claims to be right in worrying about themselves, their like-minded people, and even those they see as needing protection. Exceptionalism is a deeply rooted belief in America. We Americans have always believed that we are better than others. God, the universe, the gods – all supernatural powers that bless humanity – have given Americans a special freedom. Even now, in the middle of summer 2021, we can decide whether we want to believe in the existence of a global pandemic, and if we want to participate in controlling the spread of the coronavirus. While many Americans have to endure starvation, poverty or experience fear and loss because of the Covid-19 pandemic; On the contrary, millions of other Americans still believe that tragedy will never come. Those experiencing the pain of Covid-19, or those who have witnessed others go hungry or lose friends and family forever, believe that we are all in a very difficult situation. We’re just fine until everyone else is safe. Often, the only difference between these groups of people is the news channel they watch, and how that channel covers science or conspiracy theories. In a chaotic world where hundreds of millions of people are begging for a vaccine, this country is throwing away thousands of doses a day because Americans – in so many places – refuse to get vaccinated before the vaccine expires. My father is one of them. Influence from news sources During the pandemic, while we were following the government’s lockdown and social distancing requirements, I didn’t get a chance to visit him. But now, I don’t know when I’ll be able to see you again. I, you and everyone around will not be safe if you do not get vaccinated. I myself do not know how long he will hold out to witness this situation. My dad and I both spent a lot of time reading news during the pandemic, from different sources, of course. To be honest, I am proud to have opened up and changed my mind about SARS-CoV-2 and the threat to humanity since it was discovered. Every day, I try to stay up to date with the latest epidemiological information and public health recommendations. I’m the type of American who believes my sources are trustworthy. As a nurse, I believe I am knowledgeable enough to read published medical studies and draw my own conclusions. I’m on the side of science. On the contrary, my father is also very proud because he follows the news every night, reads and shares articles he finds online, and is careful with the advice he receives. He is the type of American who believes that Fox News is the only news channel that tells the truth, even if they are influenced by other news sources, by big corporations and the “bad guys” of the Democratic Party in power. in Washington, DC He was the kind of American who taught himself enough to understand what was going on in the world, to know who to believe. But he chose to believe the seemingly secret information his friends shared on Facebook about the conspiracy of scientists and the government. He read an article saying that hundreds of people died from vaccination, so now he claims to never vaccinate. Not one of his acquaintances has died from Covid-19. As a white middle-class man with a military pension and lifelong medical care for veterans, he never had to fear poverty, disease, loss, or disease. To him, the threat posed by the coronavirus is nothing more than the exaggeration of the press and propaganda apparatus. In a country house with a beautiful lawn and large backyard, is it wrong for you to hold fast to American exceptionalism, even if it causes your relationship with your son to fall apart? The son you believe he is the victim of corona virus conspiracies? Lots of other people don’t have the privilege of choosing like my dad. Millions of Americans are grieving the loss of someone they love, a job, and what we once called “normal”. They are fighting every day for their lives, while those around them angrily protest against the restrictions, even if it is to protect public health. Each person chooses to listen to a separate news channel, so the way they suffer is also very different. The influence of paranoid conspiracy theories My best friend, a wonderful couple, belongs to a group of Americans convinced that free public education is a tool of government propaganda and oppression. So they let the kids learn at home. When some people start to believe in paranoid conspiracy theories and let it affect children, it’s hard to tell them to give up their beliefs. There is a very small gap between homeschooling and believing in untested medical methods. It’s like believing in the magical qualities of crystals or some type of oil with herbal extracts that can heal diseases. And so, the road from believing in an untested cure to becoming an anti-vaccine is also very short. I wonder when those kind people are trapped in the trap of unscientific information and far from reality, do they ever question whether the news they receive every day can be trusted or not? Such is the situation of my friends. They are neither white nor financially stable, their jobs are difficult during the pandemic, and they know people who have lost loved ones to Covid-19. They do not have the privilege of sitting on the lawn mower in their front yard while waiting for the inconvenience of the blockade to end. They are forced to look for other sources of information and monitor the spread of the virus and listen to warnings about the disease. They surreptitiously and shamefully vaccinate themselves and their children. A discreet wife told me this secret. She also talks about how dozens of parents share supporting information and materials in homeschooling advocacy groups. They talk non-stop about the threat vaccines pose to children, echoing conspiracy theories about the dangers of masks and social distancing. She confided in me about the feeling of letting people down when she got vaccinated. American exceptionalism gives people the belief that they can avoid the difficulties others face. White and affluent parents believe they can “escape” the infection, but not everyone can. Definitely not my friends. When comparing two streams of information, what will they believe? Only fools believe in science without proof, and with the expectation that truth cannot be false. Science changes when new research is published. News channels are gaining a reputation for distinguishing between bad science and good science, and then they deliver news to readers who are increasingly confused about what is good and bad. Freedom goes too? “Why?” – some people may ask – “Can I believe what I hear, only to hear something completely different after a few months? Should I believe something dangerous is happening when no one I know is suffering?” It was my father, who read the news about the racist cases he had never heard of, and then deduced that the broadcaster would be full of lies to advance his own policy purposes. It was my friends who heard the online community say the truth was nothing compared to what their families went through. American pride is shaken when many cannot distinguish between science and conspiracy theory. And they are afraid. So I lost my dad to American exceptionalism. During the pandemic, I couldn’t see him. With an underlying medical condition, I am at high risk of death if I contract Covid-19. I could not speak to him without often ending in a heated argument. “Why doesn’t the other person come to his senses when he falls into conspiracies?” – Each of us asked ourselves the same. Why do some people believe that they are special, blessed by God, the universe, the gods? Just because something bad hasn’t happened, doesn’t mean it never will. We Americans are free to decide whether or not to believe in the existence of a global pandemic; as well as believing it affects all of us; Or do we participate in preventing deaths by simply getting two shots and wearing masks in public? We are free to decide who on Earth matters while expired, unopened vaccines are rejected across the country. I often wonder, do we have too much freedom?

Check out what you should throw away today so it doesn’t affect the health of you and your family.

That’s why Bright Side created this list for you to check and throw away the unnecessary, to bring real safety to your home. 1. Lamp with cold light A study published in the American Journal of Public Health concluded that using fluorescent light bulbs causes vision problems because of UV radiation. This leads to eye diseases, such as cataracts, nightmares, and others. To avoid this, you can choose bulbs with warmer light or full spectrum light, which mimics natural sunlight. 2. Lens Case Using a dirty contact lens holder is one of the leading risk factors for eye infections. Therefore, experts recommend replacing your contact lens holder at least every 3 months. Also, experts recommend rinsing it off after each use and letting it dry naturally. 3. Antibacterial soap According to the US Food and Drug Administration, antibacterial soap seems to help kill bacteria, however, it can also be hazardous to health. You should choose ordinary soap to keep your skin and body healthy. Antibacterial soaps often contain triclosan, an ingredient that is thought to change the way hormones work. In addition, it may contribute to increased resistance of bacteria to antibiotics. Regular soap also fights bacteria well, so you should opt for regular soap to keep your skin and body healthy. 4. Lip gloss Although this type of product is not as favorable for bacteria to grow as mascara or liquid foundation, it is still best not to use lip products for longer than 6-12 months. Anything used around the lips can quickly harbor bacteria, and the longer the bacteria stay in a wet tube, the more they multiply. This will increase your chances of getting an infection if there are tears or cracks in your delicate lips. 5. Plastic cutting board Plastic cutting boards are easier to clean than wooden ones, which is why they are considered safer. However, harmful bacteria tend to hide in the grooves of plastic cutting boards. So, to avoid food poisoning, it’s better to replace cutting boards that have cracks, cuts, or stains that are hard to clean. 6. Harmful air fresheners Many air fresheners contain high levels of phthalates, dangerous chemicals that can lead to birth defects, hormonal abnormalities, as well as reproductive problems. According to one study, these chemicals found in some products are actually marketed as “all-natural”. 7. Water filter in your fridge If you do not change the filter in the refrigerator on time, the taste of the water may get worse, the refrigerator may break down faster. Filter life depends on many factors, so you should look up the instructions for your refrigerator. 8. Vacuum filter Vacuum cleaners can greatly improve the air quality in your home, as they not only catch dust, but also pick up pollen, mold, and some other particles. However, in order for your vacuum to function properly, you should change the filter regularly. The frequency depends on the type of vacuum cleaner you have and how often you use it, but in general, it should be done every 3-6 months. 9. Hair Comb According to experts, it is best to change your hairbrush after about 6 months use. If you do it less often, the hairs can break or curl, which is why they can damage your hair. It’s important to remember that you should clean them regularly – every 2-3 weeks or even more often if you use a lot of hair products. Otherwise, buildup from hair products, dust, and other particles can transfer to the hair and scalp. 10. Plastic box There are many people in the world who are choosing to live “no plastic” and it is a much healthier life than those who use plastic containers regularly. Plastic containers are sometimes made with dangerous chemicals that can get into your food, especially if you put the box in the microwave. Avoid using plastic containers marked ‘3’, ‘PVC’, ‘7’ and ‘PC’ as they contain many compounds that can leach into food. So maybe it’s time to get rid of the plastic box and opt for the glass one. 11. Shower filter Shower head filters are great for reducing the amount of heavy metals, chlorine and sediment in the water you use, which is especially important for people with sensitive skin. But for the shower filter to work properly, we must change it regularly. The frequency depends on the amount of water you use; Normally, this should be done every 6 months. 12. Cushion The quality of the mattress affects your sleep. But the mattress is a place where dust and allergens accumulate, leading to dangerous symptoms for people with asthma, allergies, etc. The life of a mattress mainly depends on its material; For example, an innerspring mattress can last up to 10 years, and a memory foam mattress, 10 to 15 years.

  1. The phenomenon of separation: Dermatologist Tsippora Shainhouse in Beverly Hills (USA) said when the cream appears as a white lump surrounded by water and oil, shake quickly and try again. If this still doesn’t change, it’s time to throw them away. Image: allure. 2. Clumping or a runny is a sign that you need to remove the sunscreen. Dr. Shainhouse said: “The product will no longer be effective if the above conditions appear”. Image: report. 3. Smell: If you open the product and smell a strange odor, throw it out. Dr. Shainhouse revealed bacteria grow inside or due to the breakdown of chemicals that cause products to smell bad. This can cause allergies, breakouts or no longer effective sun protection. Image: NBC news. 4. The bottle shows signs of cracking: Dr. Shainhouse shared with Real Simple : “Any damage to the bottle can affect the quality of the inside. Therefore, you should replace the product to ensure skin safety”. Image: SCMP. 5. Open the bottle cap overnight: According to Dr. Nussbaum – a dermatologist in New York City (USA), if you forget to close the sunscreen caps, you will have to use up the products the next day or throw them away. An exposed sunscreen can allow bacteria to build up. This causes the ingredients to be damaged and thus unable to provide skin protection. Image: luckypolls. 6. Other colors available: Dermatologist Dennis Gross working at The Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton (USA) shares: “Sunscreen is mainly white or opaque”. When you see yellow or off-white shades, it could be a sign that the product has faded. “If you continue to use them, it will damage your skin and increase your risk of skin cancer,” added Dr. Image: faceforwardmedical. 7. Keep the sunscreen in a humid place: When not using sunscreen, you should store them in a cool, dry place. The shelf life of most products is 1-2 years from opening and in ideal conditions. However, the product will no longer work when you always place the product in direct sunlight or moisture. Image: irkfashion. 9 easy to forget positions when applying sunscreen Some small areas of skin such as the ears, between the fingers … are often not paid attention by people when applying sunscreen.

A new fashion trend known as ‘Visible mending’ encourages us not to throw away old items immediately but recycle and repair them.
A new fashion trend known as “Visible mending” encourages us not to throw away old items immediately but recycle and repair them. The recycling of old materials creates a mix of colors and fabrics. You look at what’s available and get creative with it. The result is a high-quality DIY item.

Anyone who can sew can participate in it. This technique is similar to the Japanese Kintsugi technique in which broken crockery is repaired with yellow glue so that cracks remain visible. From Instagram to the couture runway, sustainable fashion recycling and development is hotter than ever. Some fashion brands have been tinkering and researching with fabrics. For example, Loewe introduced Jonathan Anderson’s multi-material coats and skirts, while Hermès introduced the patchwork-style bomber jacket. To do it yourself, simply fix a hole in the garment with a patch and add colorful strands if desired. You can also knit in the damage, sew a nice patch over it, or emphasize the gaps by creating a colorful border around it. Elsewhere, you can disguise the stain with a hook or patch on it or with a colorful thread around it. Wear areas are reinforced with prominent stitches. “Invisible mending” and “Visible mending” The patchwork is often not visible because we often try to hide the stitches into the fabric as best we can. Usually it’s a patch from the back and it’s tucked away. With “Visible mending”, you are highlighting the cuts and damage in the garment, adding decorative details and artistic stitching to create an even nicer spot where the tear is. “Visible mending” is most commonly practiced on woven, structured fabrics such as cotton or denim, although decorating using yarn on knitted fabrics is also becoming a popular DIY trend. It is also possible to fix on stretch denim, but may result in some creases at the edges. The stitching style and materials used can be inspired by Japanese techniques such as sashiko and boro, although it may not adhere to traditional principles strictly. Sashiko embroidery originated many centuries ago in Japan as a “custom of the people”. Usually, it is done during the colder months by women who repair and sew clothes for their families. Traditionally, its run stitching will be done on indigo dyed fabric with white thread, and patterns can range from simple mesh lines to complex geometrical patterns. Especially with the sashiko, the stitches are about six inches long, and to give it that simplicity and beauty, the gaps between the gaps are slightly smaller. The art here is to make it completely uniform, so that all the gaps between them are equal. There is an order and a sequence of how you are stitching and certain rules must be followed, such as when two lines intersect. Boro is an increasingly popular embroidery technique that uses a running stitch to connect the fabric patches, creating a patchwork-like effect.

In the summer of 2020, Raul Toscano’s team was called to a luxury apartment inside a high-rise apartment building on Park Avenue.

It’s filled with old furniture – about 10,000 books, 300 framed photos, some old computers and a filing cabinet. The space was so messy that the owner of the apartment stumbled across a mess and died amidst the garbage. Specialist team cleaning up for expensive New York apartments. Photo: Stefano Giovannini. The task for Toscano (45 years old) and colleagues is to clean this expensive apartment quietly to save face for the deceased owner. Share with New York Post “That man may have a reputation so they don’t want to make a fuss of death,” said the “special” cleaning staff in high-end buildings around the city. “What’s more, often the apartment management doesn’t want residents to panic when they see what’s inside the neighbors’ homes. Too bad you pay tons of money for a nice apartment and smell strange things from the next door, ”he added. 18 tons of household waste Recently, Toscano was hired to help a 90-year-old man handle the pile of books, papers, boxes, clothes and jewelry piled up inside the luxurious 3-bedroom apartment in the residential West Central Park. “Every corner is a mess. It takes 18 tons of trash in this expensive apartment, ”he recalls. The apartment was once filled with rubbish, pizza boxes and drug equipment before Toscano’s team arrived to move it for four days. Toscano says his company, which is a Queens-county branch of the Clutter Free Junk Removal Service and Cleanup Pros, handles such cases “once a week, sometimes two”. The most difficult part for this “special” cleaning team is that the building managers often ask them to “work discreetly” to avoid panicking the neighbors. That is equivalent to hiding the logo on the uniform, as well as keeping the information they throw away. “We have our own trash so people can’t see what’s being thrown away. We just need to try to speed up the schedule and get the trash out of the apartment quickly, ”Toscano said. However, that is almost impossible to do, as was the case 1.5 years ago in a South Central Park residential apartment building. That day, Toscano’s group had to demolish the floor of an apartment left behind by the mess of tenants – including countless stacks of papers several meters high and piles of bugs and bed bugs. They also saw a woman who left her husky dog dead in a cage for eight months, or a man who liked to go to the bathroom in the bath. These people are all residents of the luxury building in the heart of New York. “We have seen everything,” Toscano said. An apartment in Manhattan before and after “passing hands” Toscano and colleagues. During a cleanup in the expensive neighborhood of the Upper West Side, the team was paid $ 18,000 to throw away bottles of urine and loads of sex toys. However, that is not the highest price. Toscano said the most expensive deal he has ever been in charge of is about $ 40,000 for a home in the state of New Jersey. Here, his team had to remove 16 tons of trash and repaint the entire house. More than work For Toscano, the interesting thing about this job is that he gets to “see the beauty of a luxury apartment” once he has dealt with the huge mess. His company also regularly receives calls from relatives to search for belongings. Therefore, in addition to discarding the furniture, they also carefully classify and store some of the belongings obtained from the apartment, in case someone wants to get it back. A New York resident who used to use the Toscano service said: “They are very focused on their work. The group of 6 of them entered the house, divided in charge of each room and cleaned according to the pre-assigned schedule ”. Toscano is often excited to see the beauty of an expensive apartment after the cleaning. Toscano said this job is more than cleaning because he himself likes to help people. In addition, he also often tells the landlord to leave during group work. “When they get back, they’re going to go crazy like ‘Wow, I can’t believe this place is home,'” he said. The hoarding disorder, which affects 2-6% of the American adult population, has no financial limits, according to the report New York Post. “Normally, when storing luxury goods, like buying 500 Prada handbags, people ‘convince themselves’ that it’s not hoarding but collecting,” said Dr. Dena Rabinowitz, director of the Institute of the Mind. Cognitive Behavioral Physics in New York, said.

We often throw away the shells after cooking, but few people know that eggshell has so many miraculous effects, especially the following uses.
Soothe insect stings

Always have a jar of apple cider vinegar soaked in the refrigerator in the summer, when insects are raging and can sting you at any time. This is particularly effective because when soaked in apple cider vinegar, the eggshell begins to decompose, allowing the calcium carbonates in them to react with the vinegar to form calcium acetate. An astringent, like zinc oxide and iron oxide lotions, can help soothe, harden, and protect delicate skin.

However, this mixture only has a shelf life of 1 month.

Nursing seedlings

Containers for eggs after use, do not throw them away, but use to incubate seedlings. This is the perfect place to protect plants from animals and weeds.

Egg box used to store handmade things

Keep small buttons, nuts and scrap paper to place in the boxes of the egg box, so it is very convenient to make your handmade things beside you.

Gardening

Crush the eggshell and mix it into the soil for the plant or flower. The eggshell contains calcium, a mineral that is essential for plant growth.

Hair treatment

Illustration.

Make your hair soft and shiny by using a mixture of eggs and olive oil to condition your hair.

Egg shells help sweeten coffee

Using eggshell in coffee sounds strange, but actually this is a pretty good way to sweeten coffee. The alkaline calcium carbonate content in the eggshell can reduce the acidity of the coffee, thus making the coffee less bitter. Furthermore, reducing the acidity in coffee also makes this drink healthier.

You just need to add 5g of crushed or pureed eggshell to the coffee powder you use often and make the coffee as usual.

Clean cooking oil after frying

The cooking oil after frying the food will turn black. You can use a piece of eggshell placed in an oil pan. The eggshell will absorb the carbon particles, making the oil cleaner.

Hair dye

Surely you never expected this special use of onion skin, right? Onion peel contains color molecules, giving you a natural, safe, and non-damaging hair color.

You only need to boil a small handful of onions in the water for about 5 minutes. Cover the pot and wait for the water to cool. Strain and take out the water to wash your hair. Leave for a few minutes and then rinse with clean water. For a good effect, you can do this one more time.

Kill fungi and insects for plants

The scent of the onion peel makes the insects run away. You can use the bark to treat fungus and kill insects in your home garden by mixing 100g of onion skin with 500ml of water in a sealed jar. Leave the jar in a cool place for 7 days and then use.

When using, dilute the onion skin juice with clean water at a ratio of 1:10. Spray the solution evenly over the entire plant to kill fungi and insects.

Onion peels have many unexpected uses that housewives do not know.

Make compost

Like other fruit and vegetable peels, onion skin can also be used as an organic fertilizer for plants. The simplest way to do this is to bury the scallions in the ground so that they decompose naturally.

Used to bake bread

The onion skin functions as a dye. When making bread, you can add a little onion crust. The breads will have a more attractive and glossy yellow color.

Add flavor to soups

For a long time, when you cook soup, you still only use the onion to cook the soup without the peel. It is a waste. The rind, after being washed and added to the soup, can make the dish more delicious and taste sweeter than usual.
