The clan system in Huizhou is complete, and almost every village will have an ancestral hall. The Yu’s Ancestral Hall in Xichong Village is also called Dunluntang. It was built in 19th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty. It took 14 years to complete in 7 years of Daoguang. It covers an area of ​​more than 2,000 square meters, which shows the grandeur of this ancestral hall. Today it is also a national key cultural relic under protection.

When visiting the Yu’s Ancestral Hall, we also learned about the history of this ancient village. The history of Xichong Village can be traced back to the fifth year of Jingding in the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1264).
