When I revisited this site again, many years ago before it was used as a “son et lumiere” show (show of light and music), I noticed that the costumes had to be strong, white and black. “, added Chanel creative director. Designer Virginie Viard weaves both Mod and Punk inspiration into this Cruise 2022 collection to highlight suit designs, white and black mini skirts, or square knit dresses, dotted with mesh socks. bold mod personality. Accessory designs are extremely rich such as leather hoster belts worn on the hips or thighs, chain pants straps, necklaces, thorny lip piercings of the Punk style. Meanwhile, graphic print suits with new designs, featuring blouse bodices and tight peplum skirts, or pigeon motifs drawn from artist’s pencil and brush drawings Cocteau is also vividly reproduced on cardigans and sweatshirts.

With two contrasting black and white main colors, Chanel’s Cruise 2022 collection connects the designs of the 60s with the punk-rock style of the 90s and 2000s.
On May 5, French fashion brand Chanel held a show of the Cruise 2022 collection at the famous Carrières de Lumières cave in the village of Les Baux-de-Provence, France.

Les Baux-de-Provence, a picturesque hilltop village in the south of France, is known for its winding streets, picturesque setting with the famous Carrières de Lumières cave. The limestone quarries are a major tourist attraction, hosting regular light and sound shows dedicated to artists such as Van Gogh and Cézanne. For Chanel, this cave has special meaning because this place was once a favorite place of the great French writer Jean Cocteau (1889 – 1963), also the place where he set the scene for a beautiful haunting movie. “Le Treat d’Orpheé” (The Will of Orpheus) 1959. Jean Cocteau and Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Jean Cocteau is a close friend of founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Cocteau considered Coco Chanel “the greatest tailor” of her time. The two spent a lot of time creating and sharing their passions in art at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris. Although they cannot meet often, the two keep in touch through handwritten letters. Chanel’s creative director, Virginie Viard shared: “During life, Coco Chanel was close to Jean Cocteau and I also loved Jean’s movie “The Will of Orpheus”. Especially the image of the man and the horse. Black went down to the Carrieres de Lumières cave, his silhouette striking against the white limestone walls. Inspired by letters exchanged between French poet Jean Cocteau and fashion house Coco Chanel during their close years, the collection connects ’60s design with the decade’s punk-rock style. 90, 2000. The show begins in Chanel’s Paris apartment, where models become moving portraits. The opulence and lavishness of the Parisian apartment, with its architectural and decorative details, is a stark contrast to the vast cavernous spaces of the Carrières de Lumières in Provence. The Cruise 2022 collection blends distinctive designs from different decades. Still designs tweed fabric, shoes, vest with white, black, and pink colors typical of the French fashion house. However, Virginie Viard has emphasized a bit more punk elements of the 60s-70s through the designs of mesh skirts, fringed leather skirts evoking wild features, combining the nobility of pearls and splendor of sequins. Models stand out with jet-black smoky eye makeup with messy hair and a series of lip piercings and mesh stockings. Supermodels strutted on the catwalk in the Cruise 2022 show. This is perhaps Viard’s most liberal collection since taking the helm of the French brand. The designer said she wanted to do something “quite rock”, reminiscent of the 60’s modernity in classic Chanel designs. Jean’s influence is also reflected through a series of animal motifs such as lions, pigeons, elephants, sphinxes, etc., hand-embroidered on the designs in this collection. These are the animals that have appeared in familiar items at Coco Chanel’s house at 31 Rue Cambon Street. Designs with dominant black – white tones stand out in the large space of the Carrieres de Lumières cave. Although Viard has been with the home for more than three decades, it’s been since taking over from the late artistic director Karl Lagerfeld in 2019 that Virginie Viard has truly admired them. “With Karl, I focused more on listening to him. Now, it feels like I’m exploring other sides of Chanel. When I read the letters that Cocteau wrote to Coco – I may have known about them before, but I only skimmed them. While now, those letters have touched my heart,” Viard shared. Viard sought inspiration for the outfits from the passion Chanel and Jean shared with each other during their lives. Chanel Cruise 2022 not only combines punk rock in a classic design but also shows the spirit of travel in the tourist fashion season. Loose caftan tops, easy-to-match two-piece dresses, and robes over bathing suits, appeared constantly on the catwalk. The collection is dotted with dresses made from woven chiffon strips with delicate watercolors. In addition, the company also promotes sustainable fashion trends when using 4 environmentally friendly tweed fabrics. These fabrics are made by Lesage, the renowned Italian yarn manufacturer that Chanel acquired last year, 28 of the 78 models in the collection contain more than 70% sustainable fibres. The show ended with beautiful images when the models together released white doves into the sky to the music and the voices of Sébastian Tellier, Paradis, Angèle, etc. under the sunset light, symbolizing information The message of peace and hope that Viard and Chanel convey in the Cruise 2022 collection. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the fashion industry has fallen into crisis, must gradually make efforts to recover and promote the race on digital platforms. The catwalks, online fashion campaigns, at-home photography, … impress the fashion world. Like other high-fashion brands, Chanel has been steadily developing digital products that help viewers and customers have the most authentic experiences – and it has made no secret of its intention to film. re-format directly as soon as possible, as soon as the epidemic is brought under global control.

Nguom Ngao Cave is one of the priceless gifts that nature bestows on Cao Bang.
Referring to Cao Bang, many people will immediately think of the extremely famous landscape – Ban Gioc waterfall. However, do not be so immersed in the poetic scenery of the green waterfall in the mountains and forests that you forget that Cao Bang still has an equally beautiful place – Nguom Ngao cave.

(Photo: Internet) Nestled in the majestic mountain at Gun village, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Nguom Ngao cave was discovered in 1921, put into tourist operation in 1996 and recognized as a national scenic spot in 1998. Although still quite young compared to many caves in Vietnam such as Phong Nha cave (250 million years old), Trang An cave cluster (250 million years old),… but Nguom Ngao still has an equally magnificent beauty. the “elders” mentioned above. In particular, the splendid scenery inside the cave also reminds many people of Thien Duong cave – another masterpiece that nature has bestowed on Vietnam. (Photo: Internet) From Cao Bang town, follow the road more than 60 km long, pass Ma Phuc pass and Khau Lieu pass to reach Trung Khanh town, go another 29 km to reach the cave. Nguom Ngao Cave is about 2,144 m long but has only been exploited for nearly 980 m, the inside of the cave is almost pristine with hundreds of unique and attractive shapes. Over time, stalactites and stalagmites have created vivid and interesting scenes that make people admire and be amazed. (Photo: Internet) Stepping into the cave, visitors will be overwhelmed by the amazing beauty created by layers of golden stalactites. Countless stalactites grow from the bottom up, from the high rock arches hanging down with many shapes, reflecting shimmering and fanciful light. All are created by the Creator, bringing a unique and wonderful landscape. Stalactites in the cave have a different color from other local caves because of the amount of calcium mixed with many impurities. (Photo: Internet) Nguom Ngao Cave is divided into many areas, such as the “four pillars of heaven” with stone pillars that look like pillars against the sky, the central area with a large space, the treasure area with golden and silver stalactites… Sometimes, we come across small streams in the cave and the sound of murmuring water is very pleasing to the ears. The unique feature that makes the “name” of Nguom Ngao scenic spot is the terraced fields formed by the limestone floor that has been eroded and weathered for many millions of years. The most special is the upside-down “Golden Lotus” limestone block, which is really a masterpiece of nature.
Inside the tunnel under the house of Gary and Beth Machens Couple Gary and Beth Machens living in Alton, Illinois moved to a new home in December 2020. But until recently, during repairs they suddenly discovered a tunnel from the 19th century just below their house. Gary Machens said he had to remove part of the stone wall on the sidewalk for repairs and then he discovered the entrance to a tunnel. Beth Machens said: “He called me at work and told me I quickly arranged to go home right away because he just found something I would never have imagined.” The tunnel is about 2.7 meters high and at least 18 meters deep. The landlord contacted the local authorities. Historians in the area estimate that the tunnel was built in 1840, about 50 years before the house was built, but they have not determined the original purpose of this underground structure. The archway of the tunnel was built of limestone, while the walls were made of bricks, the floors were mostly earth and stone with many pieces of wood scattered throughout the passage. According to the Landmark Historical Association, the tunnel is a unique and impressive work. There are already a few tunnels around the Alton area. “Maybe the old days used the tunnel as a bank or underground railway. There is no concrete evidence of these but there is a ferry in the Alton area to the Missouri side,” said Gary Machens. According to Gary Machens, the house was originally designed by architect Lucas Pfeiffenberger, the 25th mayor of Alton. He built the house for Captain Henry Brueggeman, who would later become the 27th mayor of Alton. In the 1920s, the house was owned by William H. Neerman, a carpet dealer in Alton. Paul Lenz, another Alton mayor, lived in the house many years later. Machens said: “The three former mayors of Alton used to live in this house many years ago. I don’t know if any of them know this. The house was built in 1890, the tunnel could be made from. year 1840. No one knows what the tunnel was for, but it certainly took a lot of hours of labor and the effort of a lot of people. We have a map of the area in 1863 but this house was not there at the time. There are also no other houses on the property. ” A lover of history, Machens said he wants to keep the mysteries of the past and present. The Machens hope to preserve the tunnel, and if the city or someone else helps with logistics and costs, the couple will open tours for visitors.

To cool the Earth, from now until 2050, humanity needs to filter 10 billion tons of CO2 out of the air on average each year.

Factory DAC. After 2050, we still have to double our efficiency. Currently, the fastest and most powerful solution is CO2 extraction by DAC method. For one thing, it takes 30,000 large-capacity DAC (Direct Air Capture) plants, estimated to cost $ 15,000 billion. Direct CO2 filter Since the Paris Agreement was signed in 2015, the world has made many efforts to reduce CO2. The most popular solution is afforestation, but this way of “green” still has many potential risks. First, afforestation takes space and time. It requires a large investment, likely to push food prices five times higher. Second, even when the Earth is completely green, forests will only absorb 30% of the annual emissions that need to be treated. Third, the plant itself is the “receptor for CO2”. If not handled properly upon death, they will turn out to be harmful to humans. “Humanity needs a faster, more drastic solution”, Steve Oldham (USA) affirmed. He introduced the initiative of Carbon Engineering Company: DAC Factory, removed CO2 by the method of direct air capture (DAC). The DAC method was invented in 1999. It operates on the principle of absorbing air, leading to an alkaline environment, isolating and compressing to preserve CO2. The experimental DAC plant was built in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. It is installed with a series of giant fan tubes on the roof, sucking in ambient air. Currently, CO2 makes up about 0.04% of the air. Carbon Engineering fan duct connected to a filtration system consists of 3 chambers. The first chamber contains alkali potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution. When the air passes through, the KOH reacts with CO2, forming potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3). The KHCO3 formed is led to a second chamber containing calcium hydroxide (Ca (OH) ₂). It reacts, forming limestone and being expelled into the third chamber. In the third chamber, the heated limestone decomposes, creating pure CO2. The DAC recycles the catalyst residue, forming a closed and repeating loop. It captures CO2 without releasing waste. “We are miserable with climate change and the cause of it is excess CO2” – Oldham said – “But with the DAC plant, you can purify this emissions anywhere and anywhere. when”. Cost “huge” CO2 can be commercialized by selling it to agriculture. The world is emitting about 36 billion tons of CO2 / year. “To avoid the risk of global warming, we need to successfully remove 10 billion tons of CO2 / year”, ecologist Jane Zelikova (Ukraine) said. To remove 10 billion tons of CO2 / year, a widespread DAC system is needed, with a total of 30,000 factories. Each year, these three thousand plants require 4 million tons of KOH. They also need a huge amount of energy to operate, estimated to account for up to one-sixth of total global energy. The cost of building a DAC factory is 500 million USD. With 30,000 factories, mankind has to spend 15,000 billion USD. “We need to filter 800 billion tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere,” Oldham said. Recently, many philanthropists and large corporations have expressed their support for DAC. Billionaire and philanthropist Elon Musk (South African American) pledges $ 100 million to develop CO2 capture technology by this method. Microsoft, United Airlines, ExxonMobil … also enthusiastically invested billions of dollars. Until now, estimates of the cost of capturing CO2 in the air have been very expensive. It ranges from 100 to 1,000 USD / ton. Oldham believes that the DAC industry will help lower it to only 94 USD / ton. Big bet Mankind sees CO2 as an enemy, wanting to be wiped out from the atmosphere. Did you know that in the business sector, compressed CO2 is still a valuable commodity? In Switzerland, Climeworks (a CO2 capture center) is compressing CO2 with an efficiency of 900 tons / year. They sell it to greenhouses that increase crop yields. Unfortunately, the most potential customer of compressed CO2 is the fossil fuel industry – the most terrible CO2 emission sector. Petroleum is a finite source of energy, but can be renewable by adding CO2. Occidental Petroleum Company in Texas signed a contract with Carbon Engineering to build a large-scale DAC plant. They aim to filter and utilize 50 million tons of CO2 / year, used for the purpose of increasing oil regeneration. Naturally, this amount of CO2 will be re-emitted in the new oil. It makes efforts to remove CO2 “evenly”. “We must admit, DAC is an expensive solution”, businessman and writer Chris Goodall (UK) said. The problem is that humanity urgently needs to deal with its excess CO2. If we are late, we could pay a heavy price. Losses caused by natural disasters from climate change are extremely severe. It is even able to exceed the amount of money spent operating DACs by many times. The more you hesitate and delay, the more CO2 increase cannot be controlled. The role of DAC is to control emissions. For tomorrow, mankind may have to accept today’s costly. In the event of failure to do business, Iceland proposes mineralization. They succeeded by mixing CO2 into water, pumping down basalt layers in the ground 500 – 600m deep. After about 2 years, CO2 self-changes into calcite (limestone). Waiting time for mineralization, CO2 mixed in water. CO2 containing water is heavier than normal, sinks deeply, so it does not affect the quality of floating water. In other words, the mineralization of CO2 ensures ecological safety.

Inside Krizna jama, a place for tourists traveling by boat. Photo: National Geographic Where the rivers mysteriously disappeared With 20,271 square kilometers and 2 million inhabitants, Slovenia provides the world to more than 20 famous caves out of more than 8,000 karstic formations called jamas. Here, it is easy to see with the naked eye the majestic rivers suddenly mysteriously disappearing into the ground, then forming the system of underground paths through the limestone mountains forming caves. There are also traces of cave dwellers of nearly 5,000 years ago, autographs of an expedition in 1557 left on the cliffs of Krizna cave, and since then cave tourism in Slovenia has flourished. from the seventeenth century. Krizna jama, birthplace of cave exploration. Exploration of karstic limestone caves is very dangerous, even with taking pictures in a world completely different from space under the sun. Robbie Shone, British photographer and cave researcher, spent 10 years taking pictures of Kacna caves. The window entry was 250 feet (250 feet) higher than the ceiling, and an additional 250 feet was added to the underground river, the common pillar with up to 500 free-fall, up and down thanks to ropes and lifters. The key to the Slovenian cave system lies in the rivers, when hidden when present, the most famous of which are the rivers Reka, Rak, and Pivka. River caves are not uncommon, however, there are only some karst landscapes where river caves reach as vast as in Slovenia. The karst plateau forms a special geographical area here, it extends from the Adriatic coast in the south to the Vipava Valley, forming a corridor connecting the limestone regions of northeast Italy. Beneath the village of Škocjan are caves of the same name, a UNESCO heritage site, in which an entire river – the river Reka – seems to be swallowed up by the earth. From the ground, the river suddenly plunged into a straw (siphon) in the rock, continuing to winding along underground currents, then emerged 24 miles away near Italy’s Monfalcone before joining the Timavo River into the sea. Adriatic. Where people live with caves More than anywhere, Slovenia is not only the birthplace of the cave tourism industry, but also a place of symbiosis between people and a special geological structure. The Italians and Slovenes living along the limestone corridors have created a unique Teran grape for the famous iron-rich red wine. Caves have played many roles throughout history. They used them as a source of water, a refrigerator, and even an ammunition storage room during the war. During the Ice Age, Krizna jama was an important bear sanctuary – some 2,000 bear skeletons remain. Today, river caves are important habitats for many species of animals, some of which are endangered. Postojna jama is Slovenia’s largest and most touristy cave, complete with trains that take you through tunnels and fossil-filled labyrinth halls and pristine caves. pretty. Nearby Postojna and Planinska jama are home to the proteus anguinus, an endangered species of underwater cave salamander affectionately known as the “human fish”. During Christmas, a scene of the Child God was erected in Postojna and more than 500 people gathered in a stone hermitage to witness a festival performance staged between stalactites and stalagmites. Postojna jama is completely designed with trains taking tourists through the tunnels … Photo: postojnska-jama.eu Here you can choose the right level of cave travel for you. The Postojna Cave is considered the largest jade, where the cave train will take visitors to magnificent sculptures, stalactites, stalagmites and halls. The beautiful Škocjan Cave is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here you can see the deepest and largest underground gorges in the world. And more than that, behind the cave doors is a place for travelers who have a lot of courage to explore. Krizna Cave impresses with a series of emerald green underground lakes, on which visitors can sail to magnificent limestone halls under the safety guidance of experienced explorers. The birthplace of cave exploration The history of cave exploration is associated with Krizna jama located in the Cerknica Polje limestone belt near the Loz settlement. The length of the cave is up to 8,273m, of which about 600m is arranged for regular tours of tourists, the rest is for explorers. In fact, Krizna is considered one of the most attractive tourist caves in Slovenia, due to the large underground lakes with clear water formed after dams of quartz stone and decorated in various styles. way by rolling rocks. One of the tourist attractions is the bear cave. Currently, Krizna jama is under the management of the Krizna Cave Caving Society, and is here by guided boat travel. The first inscription of the Krizna expedition engraved on a cliff, in 1557. Krizna’s original name was Loz Cold Cave (Mrzla jama pri Lozu), changed to Cold Cave under Mount Krizna (Mrzla jama pod Krizno goro), and now takes the name of the Cross Church located on the hill given to the cave system. , called Cerkev Svetega kriza. The first inhabitants of Krizna cave were in the metallic era with many relics including pottery, but their ancestors lived in caves belonging to the Paleolithic period, around 2,800 BC. Perhaps this was the reason why the Krizna expeditions were so intriguing, and the expedition’s first autograph inscribed on the cliff 1557. The expeditions continued through the centuries as a kind of discovery tourism. , but it was not until 1832 that an official report was produced by JJ Tobin, and in 1838 J. Explorers from Slovenian and foreign clubs spent decades, from 1970 to 1990 searching, discovering new cave passages and halls, and especially diving to survey pipes. suction of the Kittlow well. Measurements, surveys and expeditions were promoted between the 1990s and 2003 through the Speleological society of Karlovec and the Assotiation of Krizna cave lovers. They began cleaning the caves, photographing it, and discovering new tunnels with deep diving, searching for new straws. On Easter last weekend, British people flocked to scenic spots on the south coast to take advantage of the atmosphere because travel restrictions were loosened.

This has led to the situation that some tourists ignore the warnings, approaching dangerous areas, especially cliffs, according to the report. News.com.au. Present at Birling Gap near Eastbourne, east Sussex, many tourists were heartbroken when they saw two girls jumping up high, raising their hands to pose for a photo. The place where two girls check-in is just steps away from the edge of a limestone cliff. This area is warned to be “unstable”, very dangerous and is also advised by the National Trust (an organization that protects historic and scenic places in the UK). Two female adventure tourists check-in on the cliff. Only in 2020, about 50 cliffs on the east coast of Sussex will collapse. Visitors walking at the beach are often advised to keep their head above their head, away from the cliffs in case of falling rocks. The East Sussex Council has also issued warnings after noting a significant cliff drop at Birling Gap and a potentially slumping cliff at Seaford Head. In October 2020, Orlando Serrano-Arzola (25 years old) went to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Arizona (USA) to visit. When climbing to the top of the cliff overlooking the Colorado River, near Canyon Dam Overlook for a photo shoot, Orlando fell from a height of about 30 meters, then slid for more than 46 meters. After the fall, the 25-year-old man did not survive. In the process of bringing Orlando’s body from the foot of the canyon, the authorities also discovered the remains of another victim.
