The library has a capacity of 10,000 books as well as a multifunctional audio-visual area. A library of integrated entertainment facilities is open to the public free of charge. Meanwhile, the northern area of ​​the building has a coffee shop, public toilets, unobstructed toilets, showers, children’s reading room, public rest area and roof garden … The open architecture allows people to freely explore and have a feeling of being in nature. The design of the cave shape with each layer is not easy to open, giving the reader comfort and stimulating the imagination. The building is located adjacent to the sea, highly artistic. The building’s circular openings capture natural light and blur the boundaries between architecture and nature. In addition, the circular plots create a natural ventilation effect to cool the building in Haikou’s warm year-round climate. The reading area facing the sea facing the sea between the first floor and the second floor is not only for reading but also a place to organize cultural exchange activities. Children’s reading area is isolated from the main reading space, where there are skylights, vents, niches that stimulate children’s desire to explore. The structural form creates some semi-outdoor spaces, this is also a great space for people to read and overlook the sea.
