On the afternoon of June 15, Tran Van Hai, Director of the Center for Disease Control of Dong Thap province, said that the test results of a suspected case of Covid-19 at Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital were negative for SARS-CoV-2. .
Before that, NTHT was born in 1999, lived in Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province to take care of patients at Phuong Chau Sa Dec International Hospital. Through the medical declaration information, the medical staff discovered that this person was related to epidemiological factors and had symptoms of Covid-19 infection, so a quick test was performed and the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2. .

Immediately after, the Center for Disease Control of Dong Thap province conducted a confirmation PCR test sample for this case and the result was negative for SARS-CoV-2. Dong Thap province has two confirmed PCR testing facilities. Explaining this result, the Dong Thap health sector said that usually, rapid tests have high sensitivity to easily screen all suspected cases so as not to miss subjects when investigating and tracing. But with the rapid test, it is not possible to confirm that the subject has Covid-19 but after performing the rapid test, a PCR test must be performed to confirm the screened result. New PCR test confirms whether the subject has Covid-19 or not. Related to the above case, today, there has been a lot of information on social networks that reflects incorrectly, causing confusion and insecurity in public opinion. Phuong Chau Sa Dec International Hospital is operating normally, well streamlining all stages, well implementing regulations on epidemic prevention and control for medical examination and inpatient departments. Dong Thap province’s functional sector recommends that people should select official information from competent professional agencies to speak, avoid spreading and sharing false information that causes confusion among the public.

This robot named Vibot weighs 60 kg, moves at 30 m/min, works for 12 hours continuously, after the battery runs out, it automatically searches for the charging station. Monitoring and control range 150 m (wireless) and expandable up to 500 m. Vibot can replace 3-5 medical staff (working inside – direct contact with patients) operating according to pre-loaded programs or direct instructions of users. Robot named Vibot was put into use on June 3. Photo: CTV Vibot can also build a path by itself according to the preloaded work area map or self-build, safely move in and out of the designated area to perform the task without any outside assistance. . Simultaneously detects and stops, bypasses fixed and movable obstacles to reach predefined locations. Currently, Captain, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Quan and Major and Master Hoang Van Tien are transferring technology to doctors and nurses at the treatment area for Covid-19 patients at Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital. It is known that in addition to reducing the risk of infection, the robot also creates conditions for medical staff to better focus their time and effort on serving, caring for and treating seriously ill patients. Snow Mai

People wait for their turn to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in Beijing. Photo: AP According to CNBC, within just 5 days of May, China injected 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to its people. Health officials hope to be able to vaccinate 80% of its 1.4 billion population by the end of 2021. As of June 2, China has injected a total of over 704 million doses of vaccine, of which half were administered in May. The total number of doses of COVID-19 vaccine that China has given to the population accounts for about one-third in one. ,9 billion doses of vaccine are distributed globally. The call to vaccinate is from all walks of life. Companies inject workers, schools urge students and teachers to immunize, local authorities urge people to vaccinate. According to Our World in Data, in 7 days, China is injecting an average of 19 million doses per day. With a population a quarter of China’s, the US only injected 3.4 million doses / day in April – when the vaccination campaign was operating at full speed. A medical worker administers a COVID-19 vaccine at a vaccination site in Shanghai, China. Photo: THX/VNA On May 30, Zhong Nanshan, the head of an expert group of the National Health Commission of China, said that 40% of the Chinese population has been vaccinated with at least one dose, and the government’s goal is to fully immunize all patients. this number at the end of June. In the capital Beijing, 87% of people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination in Beijing is easy because there are hundreds of vaccination service points throughout the city. Vaccination buses are parked right in crowded areas such as city centers and commercial centers. However, vaccination in other areas is not as easy as in the capital. Ms. Zhou Hongxia, a resident of Lanzhou, Gansu province, said: “I started waiting in line for the injection at 9am and didn’t get the injection until 6pm. It’s tiring. When I returned, there were still people waiting.” Ms. Zhou’s husband couldn’t even schedule a vaccination. On May 31, government officials said they were working to ensure the supply of COVID-19 vaccine is distributed more evenly. Not only focusing on inoculating people in the country, China also injects its citizens abroad when donating vaccines to Thailand, part of which is used to vaccinate the Chinese before giving them to Thai people. Globally, China has injected more than 500,000 citizens abroad. Before the domestic vaccination campaign accelerated in recent weeks, many Chinese people were in no hurry to get vaccinated because China had almost no cases in the community thanks to tight border controls and mandatory isolation. Recently, China has appeared many small clusters of infection and is suppressing the cluster in Guangzhou. According to analysts, despite the uneven distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, Chinese manufacturers have hardly had problems with the scale of production. Both companies that produce most of the COVID-19 vaccines being used in China, Sinovac and Sinopharm, have drastically increased production, built new factories and converted existing factories to produce COVID-19 vaccines. . Vaccines of Sinovac Biotech (China) at a vaccination center in Bangkok, Thailand on May 12, 2021. Photo: THX/VNA Vaccines from Sinovac and one from Sinopharm have been approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization. “Where in the world can match China in terms of construction speed? How long does it take China to build field hospitals? Just a few days.” Sinovac said it has doubled production capacity to 2 billion doses/year, while Sinopharm said it can produce 3 billion doses/year. From the beginning of the year to the end of May, Sinovac produced 540 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Government support is crucial for vaccine manufacturers at every stage. Sinopharm said that right from the start of the vaccine research, it had borrowed a laboratory at a government research center. Chinese vaccine companies largely do not depend on imported products in the production process, so the scenario of shortage of raw materials and ingredients like the Serum Institute in India should be avoided. As of June 4, China had 91,194 cases of COVID-19, of which 4,636 died.

A healthcare worker is vaccinated against COVID-19 at a hospital in Kolkata, India. Photo: AP In India, the number of infections on May 30 was 165,553 cases, the lowest level in the past 6 weeks. The number of deaths also tended to decrease, to 3,460 cases and the third day in a row below 4,000 cases.

The vaccination campaign is being accelerated by India, although vaccine supply remains a big challenge. As of May 30, India has injected more than 212 million doses of the vaccine, ranking third in the world after China and the US. About 12% of the population was vaccinated with at least one dose, of which 3.1% were fully vaccinated. Prime Minister Narenda Modi’s government said on May 30 that about 120 million doses of the vaccine will be included in the vaccination program in June, a significant increase from 79.8 million doses in May. , government advisers also said that India could reach a supply of 2 billion doses of vaccine between August and December this year, mainly from two domestic manufacturers, the Serum Institute of India (Serum Institute of India). SII) – responsible for producing vaccine samples of AstraZeneca and Bharat Biotech Company, the focal point of domestic production of Covaxin vaccine. In June, the government will provide 60.9 million doses of vaccine to the states to vaccinate health workers along with some other forces on the frontline against the epidemic, people over 45 years old. About 58.6 million doses will be ordered and distributed by state governments and private hospitals. Malaysia on May 30 recorded 6,999 new cases of COVID-19 and was the 5th consecutive day of outbreaks of infection. The government of this country plans to set up more large-scale vaccination centers, mobilize private medical staff to participate in vaccination campaigns in the context of Malaysia preparing to implement a nationwide shutdown. for a period of two weeks, from June 1-14. Medical staff take samples for COVID-19 testing for people in Selangor, Malaysia on May 23, 2021. Photo: THX/VNA Speaking at an online press conference on May 30, Malaysian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Khairy Jamaluddin said the government will establish five new large-scale vaccination centers in Kuala Lumpur and have Two more similar centers could be established in the northern state of Penang and the southern state of Johor. Each of such centers has the capacity to administer 40,000 doses of vaccination per day. The Government will also conduct training and training for doctors and nurses to perform vaccinations, stemming from the fact that some vaccines need different handling and storage methods and are different from conventional vaccines. Mr. Jamaluddin also said that the supply of vaccines will increase in the near future, so the government will mobilize manpower from hospitals and private medical centers to voluntarily participate in the vaccination campaign. According to Jamaluddin, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s government is also expected to set up mobile vaccination centers at roads to vaccinate people. Currently, about 6% of Malaysia’s 32 million people have received at least one vaccination. In the Philippines, the head of the Philippine Government’s COVID-19 Task Force, Mr. Czar Carlito Galvez Jr, said on May 30 that more than 5 million doses of the vaccine have been administered to people, after nearly 3 months of implementation. vaccination campaign. People wear masks to prevent COVID-19 infection in Manila, Philippines. Photo: THX/VNA Most of these were administered to priority groups, including 1.4 million doses for healthcare workers, 1.368 million doses for the elderly and 1,150 million doses for people with underlying medical conditions. Vaccines introduced in the Philippines include Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Pfizer. Galvez also said that in June, the Philippines is expected to receive an additional 10 million doses of vaccine, including the amount of vaccine through the Covax Initiative program, 2.3 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, 2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 1 million doses of vaccine. Sinovac vaccine. The first batch of 250,000 doses of Moderna is also expected to arrive on June 21. The administration of President Rodrigo Duterte has set a target of vaccinating about 70 million people or more than 50% of the population this year. However, this plan is facing major challenges. In addition to the limited supply of vaccines, the lack of confidence in Chinese vaccines is also a big barrier. It was Mr. Duterte who recently had to speak to reassure, urging people to avoid the mentality of choosing a vaccine, but to see that having a vaccine to inject is already a good thing.

The Covid-19 epidemic has only broken out for a few days, but there have been a series of fake news released related to the stopping of technology vehicles, the curfew, the blockade…
Technology car company Grab 2 today has to face fake news about stopping passenger transportation, delivery, and food services in Ho Chi Minh City from May 21 to fight the Covid-19 epidemic. With the speed of spreading quickly on social networks, this news made many customers and technology drivers operating in the area bewildered.

The Grab side then denied the information, and sent an official notice to the driver partner about the normal deployment of services in areas permitted by local authorities. A fake news by the Vietnam Fake News Processing Center “whistle” The complicated development of the disease also makes a lot of information related to social isolation, blockade … have the opportunity to explode like mushrooms after rain. Recently, at 7:30 p.m. on May 4, a Facebook account named “Hanoi Pho” posted information: “Hanoi is open on the first day of the blockade” with an illustrative video. Through verification, the Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi confirmed that the content of the information posted above is untrue, violating the provisions of Article 5 of Decree No. 72/2013/ND-CP on management, provision and use of internet services and information on the network. This information has caused anxiety and insecurity for people, causing many people to prepare plans to hoard food, potentially causing market instability. Similarly, right after Ho Chi Minh City appeared more cases of Covid-19, on the evening of May 18, social networks also spread fake information about the “curfew” of the whole city from 10 pm. The Vietnam Center for Handling Fake News under the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information – Ministry of Information and Communications, was just launched earlier this year but has continuously published fake information on the official website – tingia.gov.vn. Among them, the amount of fake news about the epidemic and fake accounts accounts for the most. This center asks people not to share fake information about the Covid-19 epidemic. At the same time, warning acts of fabricating or spreading information known to be false can be punished by imprisonment from 3 months to 1 year. The Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) on the afternoon of May 21 also issued a warning to the community to raise their vigilance against cases of fake medical staff scams for bad purposes, avoiding the occurrence of serious health problems. unfortunate case of people and property. The incident stemmed from people’s complaints to HCDC about a strange message calling for concentrated isolation with the content: “You are currently on the list of people to be isolated, the isolation code is: xxxx, please contact the phone number xxx…”. Many websites and Fanpages fake businesses to cheat Vietnam Fake News Processing Center 2 days ago also issued a warning about a fake website of the Vietnam Export-Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank). Accordingly, this fake website uses the name, image, logo design, color … of Eximbank with the domain name eximbank.xyz to confuse users. Currently, Eximbank has an official website under the domain name https://www.eximbank.com.vn . Not long ago, a website with the domain name www.vietnamairslines.com was also set up with the purpose of pretending to be the official website of Vietnam Airlines as vietnamairlines.com to scam. user.

The participating units, doctors and nurses responded to the program. To ensure the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic nationwide and create conditions for the program to easily reach a large number of people, the launching ceremony was conducted in an online form on the Vietnam Health Facebook page – Ministry of Health. The 5th of May every year is designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as World Hand Hygiene Day to raise awareness among healthcare workers about the importance of hand hygiene. for public health in general and to support infection prevention at hospitals in particular. In the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, promoting propaganda and raising awareness of keeping hands clean is not only confined to medical staff but also needs to be extended to the community. If health workers wash their hands to protect the health of the people they care for, people also need to be aware of hand washing to contribute to protecting the health of themselves and the community. This is the meaning that the program wants to send to everyone through the message: “We washed our hands for you, wash your hands for the community” to contribute to the implementation of the “5K” request of the Ministry of Health. . At the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen sent a message to the medical staff: “On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Health, we call on colleagues from all over the country, the “angels” white shirt” is working day and night for public health, those on the front lines of epidemic prevention and control, having a short break between work hours will share beautiful images recommending the community to regularly wash their hands and strictly follow the 5K message”. During the Action Month to respond to World Hand Hygiene Day, the Ministry of Health launched an online contest on social networking applications for collectives and individuals across the country, participating in the call to spread the beautiful image of the health sector about the action of washing hands to clean bacteria “We washed our hands for you, you should wash your hands for the community”, from May 5 to the end of May 30, 2021, with a total prize value is 80 million. In the collective form, each participating hospital and unit takes a group photo of creative hand movements. The photo must show the slogan “We washed our hands for you, wash your hands for the community” (write on the board, on paper… creative freedom). The unit posts photos on its Facebook page to make it public with the message #AikenVietnam #Chuyengiakhangkhuan #Sachkhuantudoitay, calling for interaction (likes, shares, comments). After that, the unit commented on the contest entry right under the article announcing the rules on the Aiken Vietnam Facebook page. In personal form, individuals change their avatar or post a picture with the frame of the program, on the content of the avatar must show the slogan “We washed our hands for you, you should wash your hands for the community”. “. The individual posted on his Facebook page to make it public with the message #AikenVietnam #Chuyengiakhangkhuan #Sachkhuantudoitay, calling for interaction (like, share, comment). Then, personally comment on the contest entry right under the article announcing the rules on the Aiken Vietnam Facebook page. Immediately after the launch, despite being busy fighting the epidemic, many units, doctors and nurses across the country enthusiastically sent positive images to the program to spread meaningful messages to the community. Step 1: Visit https://www.bluezone.gov.vn or download directly at App Store or CH Play. Step 2: Once downloaded, the application will ask for permission to use Bluetooth to record contact with other Bluezone installed users.
Users only take 10 seconds to breathe into the machine and less than 2 minutes later have COVID-19 results. Photo: Straits Times According to the Singapore Straits Times, the device will ensure the safety of movement and inspection at large-scale events. Previously, local health technology company Silver Factory worked with the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID), Changi Airport and security company Certis to develop the device. Silver Factory’s ventilator, called TracieX, is proven to give results nearly as accurate as a PCR test, which takes only about 2 minutes. Compared with PCR test, the sensitivity rate of TracieX ventilator is above 95% and its specificity is above 99%. Device sensitivity is the ability to confirm which test samples are positive, while specificity is used to confirm a negative. The price for a test with this device is only 20 USD (about 460,000 VND). The device has been tested at NCID, Changi and Certis airport terminals with over 400 participants. In Vietnam, ensuring safety of COVID-19 vaccination is always on top priority; strictly comply with each step, step by step at all immunization facilities. The COVID-19 vaccination establishment must have facilities and equipment (with sufficient means to prevent shock), and have a team that is well trained for safe vaccination. These facilities themselves are also regularly supervised, as well as vaccination operators are regularly trained to update new vaccines and safe injection procedures. In an online meeting with colleagues in Germany, Panama and Haiti, Schreiber discussed his “headache” for the day: The situation is stagnant in two countries. Countries that buy the most Covid-19 vaccine. Photo: Duke Global Health Innovation Center Referring to a country where outsiders are difficult to reach, Schreiber said: “It is not clear how things are going”. In the remaining country – Haiti, the first potential vaccine shipment has been delayed. The vaccination team appears to be ready, but political and social issues are hindering shipping. Fuel in Haiti is expensive, roads are poor, budgets are miscalculated. Many people do not believe in Western aid, others do not understand Covid-19. There are discussions like this every day Schreiber. On a small scale, it often involves questions about the proper way to cool vaccines, about ingenuity in dealing with governments. However, at the core of the matter has always been global justice. The new strain corona virus has spread to every continent and infected at least 128 million people. It has ruined economies and destroyed families. Up to now, a global medical emergency has been in effect for more than a year. Citizens in some developed countries have been protected from the corona virus and many others in Africa, Asia and Latin America are still waiting to be vaccinated. Carrying vaccines to remote areas in Nepal. Photo: SPIEGEL To date, nearly 600 million doses of the vaccine have been used around the world. However, nearly two-thirds of them are used in six countries. About 60% of Israelis, less than half of Britons and one-tenth of Germans have been vaccinated at least once. In Namibia, where a population of more than 2 million people, less than 1,500 people have been vaccinated. In some other countries, no one has been vaccinated yet. Earlier this year, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned of a “moral disaster”. An effort has been made to prevent that disaster. A global mechanism, called COVAX, was born to support the equitable distribution of Covid-19 vaccines to countries. WHO launched the initiative a year ago and a vaccine consortium called GAVI and the Alliance for Pandemic Readiness Innovation (CEPI) also joined. Almost every country in the world participates in COVAX. Many countries and regions have attempted to smooth the infection curve of Covid-19. Photo: John Hopkins University COVAX’s goal is that 92 of the poorest member countries get vaccines as fast as 98 rich countries. The rich countries pay more for the initiative and the poorest countries get discounts or free vaccinations, with each country vaccinating a fifth of its population by the end of the year. It is UNICEF’s responsibility to ensure that vaccines reach their destination. The new strain corona virus is constantly changing. Most changes do not affect the degree of danger posed by the virus, but some mutations, like the strains that occurred in Brazil and the US, do. And the more the number of countries experiencing uncontrolled outbreaks, the more likely the world will have to deal with the next mutation. So how do you vaccinate those most threatened, such as the elderly, the sick, and health care workers around the world? How can COVAX achieve its ambitious goals? Graph of increasing Covid-19 cases among countries. Photo: Bloomberg A group of German magazine Der Spiegel reporters have followed the vaccine around the world. They went to vaccine factories in India, to warehouses in Copenhagen, Denmark. It all goes to the end: The vaccine is delivered to health workers in Malawi, who received their first shot in March. The reporters also witnessed a German at a kindergarten. in the US to plan vaccine distribution. Schreiber has been with UNICEF for 8 years. His biggest challenge last year, he said, was preparing nations for a short period of time. COVAX’s goal is to ship about 2 billion doses of vaccine by the end of this year, corresponding to about 850 tons of vaccine per month and 1 billion syringes. Thousands of cooling boxes have to be transported to the most remote corners of the world by jeeps, boats, drones and even donkeys. Even in normal years, UNICEF vaccinates nearly every child around the world. However, UNICEF has never faced a global pandemic. The Republic of Seychelles is currently leading the world because there are enough vaccines for 63.1% of the population. Photo: Bloomberg. Immunization campaigns are usually planned many years in advance, but this time only a few months. Vaccine recipients are diverse, some have been successful, some have failed, some have only a few hundred thousand people, some have more than a billion. Countries were asked by UNICEF to explain in writing how they intend to manage the logistics of vaccinations. Schreiber read over 100 of these lengthy plans, mostly twice. He corrects and makes suggestions for improvements. Most of the time, things go well, but sometimes it doesn’t. The governments of Tanzania, Eritrea and Madagascar are still debating that Covid-19 is a dangerous disease. However, the effort paid off. On February 24, the first shipment of COVAX landed in Ghana. The first shipment to Haiti is also planned. By the end of March, UNICEF had distributed 20 million doses of the vaccine to 47 countries.

Conducting Covid-19 vaccination for people 2 months earlier than other localities, Phuket Island (Thailand) hopes to soon bring the tourism industry back to normal.
Phuket Island aims to give Covid-19 vaccine to at least 460,000 local residents by July 1 – the time when foreign tourists who have been vaccinated are no longer in quarantine upon arrival.

The most famous resort island in the Golden Temple has its own international airport. So tourists can freely roam the island without risking spreading the virus to other parts of Thailand, according to Reuters . “If we can build immunity to 70-80% of the island’s population, we can accept vaccinated foreign tourists without quarantine,” said Piyapong Choowong, deputy governor. Phuket, says. In addition to health workers, government cabinet members and the elderly, Thailand also prioritizes Phuket’s people to get vaccinated over other localities, emphasizing the central role tourism plays in the country’s economy. Phuket aims to complete the Covid-19 vaccination for the majority of its population by July 1. Before the pandemic, foreign visitors contributed 11-12% of Thailand’s GDP. However, the country’s tourism industry has lost 1.45 million jobs since the outbreak. In 2020, only 6.7 million foreign tourists come to Thailand, spending about 11 billion USD, down from 40 million visitors and 61 billion USD in 2019. In the third quarter of this year, the government of the Golden Temple expects at least 100,000 tourists to return to Phuket. As the global vaccination program progresses, the number is expected to be 6.5 million visitors in the fourth quarter and spend $ 11 billion. “It is a challenge but if it succeeds, it will contribute to the country’s GDP to some extent. We do not expect visitors to come massively like a dam break but hope there will be many generous visitors,” said Yuthasak Supasorn , Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said. He said tourists from Europe, the United Arab Emirates and the US will return to Thailand first. Thailand’s most famous resort island hopes to soon return the tourism industry to normal thanks to the early vaccination program. During the outbreak, strict 14-day quarantine requirements for foreign tourists helped Thailand limit the number of SARS-CoV-2 infections to about 29,100 cases and 95 deaths. However, it is this plan that also makes many tourists afraid to come here to travel. Long-term tourist attraction programs that test negative for SARS-CoV-2 have largely failed, even with innovative measures such as “golf isolation”. Songklod Wongchai, an analyst at Finansia Syrus, believes Thailand can quickly revive its tourism industry. This expert gave an example of the Maldives, the island nation whose hotel booking rate rebounded to 70-80% despite cases of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection. “Increased demand could come back faster than expected. I think the ‘land of smiles’ will soon start to smile again, ”Wongchai said.

Even the most remote regions are not forgotten

Lunana is a remote and isolated land in Bhutan. This place is twice the size of New York City, including glaciers, some of the highest peaks in the world and not reachable by car. Even so, almost everyone living here has been vaccinated against Covid-19. A monk is vaccinated at a school in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, on the first day of the vaccination campaign. Photo: AFP The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine batch arrived last month by helicopter and was given injections by medical staff across the ice and snow to each village. “I was given the first shot to prove to others in the village that the vaccine was not fatal and safe. Then everyone got it,” said Pema, the village chief in Lunana. The Lunana campaign is part of a silent vaccination story in one of Asia’s poorest countries. On April 17, Bhutan, a kingdom that cares more about the happiness of its people than the nation’s prosperity, injected the first vaccine to more than 478,000 people, accounting for about 60% of the population. The Health Department said this month that more than 93% of eligible adults received the first shot. Helicopters deliver the vaccine to the remote mountains of Bhutan. Photo: Ministry of Health of Bhutan Most of Bhutan’s first Covid-19 vaccinations were vaccinated to people during the last week of March and the first weeks of April. On April 17, the country’s vaccination rate was 63 shots per 100 people. , ranked 6th in the world in immunization rates. Immunization rates in Bhutan are even ahead of the UK and US, seven times higher than neighboring India and nearly six times higher than global vaccination rates. Bhutan is also ahead of other geographically isolated countries with small populations, such as Iceland and the Maldives. Dasho Dechen Wangmo, Bhutan’s Health Minister, has contributed to this success by effectively implementing “leadership and direction” from the king, erasing people’s hesitations to vaccinate and promoting a The health care system “enables people in the most remote parts of the country to also receive needed services”. “As a country with a population of just over 750,000, a two-week campaign to vaccinate its citizens is possible. Despite some minor logistical problems we were able to deal with. “, Mr. Dechen Wangmo said. Peace Guardians All of these vaccines have so far been funded by the Indian government, produced at the Indian Serum Institute – the world’s largest vaccine production center. The government of Bhutan plans to give the population a second dose of vaccine 8 to 12 weeks after the first vaccination, according to the instructions for the AstraZeneca vaccine. Will Parks, Bhutan’s representative at UNICEF, said the first vaccination series was “a success” with participation from “top authorities to the local community”. The campaign was successful in part based on a team of volunteers, also known as the Peace Guardians, who worked under the direct direction of King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. In Lunana, eight volunteers set up field tents and helped transport oxygen cylinders from village to village, said Karma Tashi, a member of the government’s four-man vaccination team there. These oxygen cylinders are prepared to prevent the vaccinated person from having a disturbing reaction after the vaccination. To save time, Tashi said, the team had vaccinated during the day and walked at night, usually working 10-14 hours a day. According to Mr. Tashi, some people do not want to get vaccinated because they are busy with the crop or are concerned about a response after the vaccination, but after being convinced by the volunteers about the benefits of vaccination, everyone agrees Italy. On April 12, 464 out of 800 people in Lunana received the first shot of the vaccine. The population here includes a small number that do not qualify for the vaccine. No exception Medical care in Bhutan, an isolated country slightly larger than the US state of Maryland and bordering Tibet, is completely free. From 1960 to 2014, the average life expectancy of Bhutanese people doubled to 69.5 years old. The immune rate in recent years in this country is above 95%. People in Thimphu wear masks when going out on the street. The Bhutan Government Committee will meet once a week to decide which patients need to be sent abroad for treatment. “I don’t think they can cope with the increase in the number of severe Covid-19 cases if that happens. So prioritizing vaccination is important,” the expert said. Bhutan currently records less than 1,000 Covid-19 cases and only 1 death. The country’s borders, which have been tightened by global standards even before the pandemic, have been closed for a year with almost no exception, with anyone coming on quarantine for 21 days. Even the country’s Prime Minister Lotay Tshering, who received his first shot last month, was quarantined after returning from a visit to Bangladesh./.
