On their way to Mount Britsen in Switzerland, Cyril and Erik Rohrer came across a stray kitten. This cat accompanied them to the top of a mountain 3,073m above sea level.
Mount Bristen is one of the longest ski tours in the region and Cyril and Erik Rohrer (Sachseln City, Switzerland) went skiing in mid-April 2021.

At 4:30 in the morning, at an altitude of 1200m, they were very scared and confused when they heard a cat meowing in the dark forest. The cat on the cold snowy mountain. After observing, they saw a small cat on the side of a mountain. This cat has wandered in the footsteps of hikers to the top of the mountain. “The cat followed us all the time, even when we were walking uphill. We also couldn’t leave it alone, so it went with us to continue the journey up to an altitude of more than 3000m,” said Cyril. Fortunately, he was caught by the couple Cyril, Erik Rohrer. At one point, the cat shivered from the cold, and its paws began to bleed from the snow. Hikers knew he was too tired to continue walking, and carried him with him when he was exhausted. “At that time, I was really confused and felt sorry for the little cat if I left him. It was exhausted on the side of the mountain, just below the top of the mountain,” Cyril recounted. Fortunately, another group of hikers reached the top of the mountain before Cyril and Erik Rohrer, when they returned to meet the couple and the cat. They managed to bring the cat back to the valley and reunite it with its owner. The couple and other hikers brought the cat back to its owner. It was later discovered that the cat had been missing for four days, two days before it went with Cyril and Erik to the top of the mountain, it had also followed other groups. Cyril said: “So the little cat has been to the top of the mountain 3 times! Animals can do strange things and they are tougher than humans. They will never give up, even though they are badly injured themselves. “. His metal ( according to Epoch Times)

For Joshi, the time when he contracted Covid-19 and coped with the super typhoon at the foot of Mount Everest was more difficult than the journey to reach the ‘roof of the world’.
On May 8, Harshvardhan Joshi (26 years old, India) was busy at the campsite at the foot of Everest to prepare for the journey to conquer the highest mountain in the world. VICE .

For almost a month, he had been waiting there while a group of Sherpa guides scouted the route and fixed the climbing rope from the assembly point to the summit. This year’s climbing season has about 1,500 people joining the support staff. Along with more than 400 other people present at the foot of Mount Everest, the young man hopes to make his lifelong dream come true. At that time, a climbing friend carefully brought some rapid test kits for SARS-CoV-2 virus antigen due to the pandemic raging in Nepal and India. Joshi also participated in the testing. However, a bad news interrupted Joshi’s excitement: he tested positive for Covid-19. Not believing his ears, the guy tested himself again but it still showed the same results. “The scene was actually quite noisy. The team still had to continue the journey without me no matter how much the trip meant to me,” he said. Covid-19 climbing season This year’s climbing season took place under the most extraordinary circumstances. Despite concerns about a second wave of the epidemic, Nepal decided to reopen Mount Everest and other mountains after a year of closure. At the end of March 2021, Joshi arrived in Kathmandu (Nepal) and set out to the meeting point at the foot of the mountain. Around mid-April, the first whispers of Covid-19 in the campground began to appear. Meanwhile, Nepalese officials continue to deny that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was present at the highest mountain in the world. Harshvardhan Joshi started his passion for climbing 10 years ago. “Isolation rules are in place but no one is monitoring. Some people flew to the assembly point after only a few days of isolation,” Joshi said. Due to the lack of testing facilities, no one can tell the difference between Covid-19 disease and the persistent “khumbu dry cough” – a symptom most climbers experience at this altitude. . Only major climbs are equipped with doctors and testing equipment. “We also only got tested after a teammate asked his wife to bring a rapid test kit from India.” In the village of Dibuche near the campsite, one of Joshi’s teammates tested positive for Covid-19 and decided to fly home. Not long after, 5 other people also contracted the virus and Joshi was the 6th. Joshi’s priority is to isolate himself in a tent alone for 10 days. Due to his lack of symptoms, he decided to stay instead of evacuating by helicopter with the other patients. The young man still hopes that he can continue his journey after the isolation period ends. “I consulted the doctors in my hometown. They sent me the treatment plan. Then I asked the person who organized this trip in Kathmandu to buy and send the medicine by helicopter.” During the quarantine, Joshi spent many hours practicing breathing and chanting. “I spend most of my time in the tent. Meals will be delivered from the kitchen to my tent. It was really lonely having to dine alone in the cold weather,” he recalls. Joshi’s medication was delivered from the capital of Nepal via helicopter. In mid-May, Joshi’s dream was further threatened by Cyclone Tauktae, which killed more than 100 Indians and blew away at least 30 tents at the campsite. Faced with this situation, Nepalese authorities have extended the time so that tourists can wait for better weather, conquering the “roof of the world” again, although the climbing season usually ends in May. ‘Steering’ of the unexpected trip By dinner on May 19, things finally got better for Joshi. The weather forecast in the coming days will be better and his latest test came back negative. Joshi’s original plan was to climb Everest first and then to Lhotse, Everest’s “neighbor” and the fourth highest mountain in the world. Anup Rai (left) and Furte Sherpa accompany Joshi to climb Everest. However, he decided to try Lhotse first because it would be deserted in the coming clear days. Moreover, he was also worried about his lung condition after the illness. At midnight, Joshi set out with two climbing guides, Furte Sherpa and Anup Rai – who he assessed as “inexperienced but healthy”. Other more experienced guides have left the mountain because of Covid-19. “Therefore, I asked two people to go with me to maximize safety, in case something happened,” he said. Mount Everest and Lhotse share a major climb. Thus, on the way, Joshi’s group met an Everest climbing team. With the weather forecast to get worse due to the effects of another storm, Joshi realized the short time ahead was the best opportunity to visit Everest once. So he changed his mind again and went back to the original plan. “Winds will get stronger and the chances of climbing in good weather will become increasingly limited. However, I still decided to go,” he said. After 2 days, despite all the harsh weather conditions, Joshi reached the summit of Everest. Joshi doesn’t feel too excited about climbing the “roof of the world”. Standing from the “roof of the world”, he can see the glacier in northern Tibet glowing in the morning sun, Mount Lhotse and the majestic Himalayas. “There were at least 20 people on the top of the mountain before our group. I just sat there and basked in the beautiful surroundings. After that, I bowed my head to thank my two guides – who brought me up here safely. On the other hand, Joshi wasn’t as excited as he had thought. With the next storm coming, he didn’t have much time to linger on Mount Everest. “It feels like the problems I faced before reaching Everest were much more difficult than climbing to the top,” he said.

Hon Son Island, also known as Lai Son, also known as Hon Son Rai, is located in Nam Du archipelago, Kien Giang province. Coming here, visitors can both experience climbing and scuba diving in a typical green space of coconut.
The island is located on the road from Rach Gia to Nam Du. To get to Hon Son, the nearest way is to go from Rach Gia port, with the means of speedboat. The first impression is that the island is very clean, there is a place to treat garbage, not throw it directly into the sea like in Nam Du island. Moreover, on the green island, you can see coconut everywhere.

Going to the island, the first impression is that the island is very clean and planted with many coconuts Conquering Ma Thien Lanh peak On Hon Son island, there are 7 peaks, of which Ma Thien Lanh is the most famous for its mysterious stories. With an altitude of 450m above sea level, this is the highest mountain in Hon Son island, so it attracts many tourists to visit and conquer. To climb the mountain without losing strength, the first night we booked a room at Lamien Lodge. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, on the way to the top of Ma Thien Lanh. The room is located entirely in the forest and has a view of the entire Hon Son sea from above. Here, you can be completely immersed in nature, use the direct spring water of Ma Thien Lanh peak and say no to air conditioning, hot and cold water. Note, when you choose to stay on the mountain, remember to only bring a backpack, not a suitcase, you will not be able to carry or pull it up because the road is quite difficult. However, if you bring a suitcase, there will be a pick up service for you, each up / down is 150,000 VND. In particular, the phone signal here is very poor, only occasionally available, only for direct calls, but cannot access the Internet, very suitable for those who need complete rest. A few notes when climbing – It is recommended to wear and bring clothes made of cool, sweat-absorbing fabrics to move freely.- Women who wear short clothes should use mosquito repellent, because forest mosquitoes are many and bite very painful.- Climbing shoes must be light, hug your feet to avoid foot pain.- Items to bring such as flashlights, knives, drinking water (1.5 liters/person) and light food.- Remember to preserve the landscape forests, limit littering. After checking in, you can order a lunch of steamed garlic chicken, or salted steamed chicken, made by the people you meet along the way when you check in. After eating and resting, around 1:30 pm you start to conquer the remaining road of Ma Thien Lanh peak. From here, the road will be more difficult to go. On the way up the mountain, you will be told by the guide fascinating stories, handed down from ancient times, about Pho Tinh Pagoda, Lo Thien Pagoda, Monk Uncle Uncle, mountain ascetics and Even the fairies descended,… Just climbed to the top of the mountain while listening to stories, the way was also closer. Conquering Ma Thien Lanh peak is an unforgettable experience for visitors when coming to Hon Son In order to facilitate farming, travel and live here, people make stairs convenient for going up the mountain. The scenery on both sides of the road is very poetic and wild, the atmosphere is clear and cool. A few notes when traveling independently is that if you get lost, follow the water line. This is a small trick, passed down by the people who often go to the mountain. Stop at Lo Thien Phat Pagoda, you have gone 1/3 of the way to the top of Ma Thien Lanh. The road from there to the top of the mountain is becoming more and more difficult and challenging when it is no longer a cement road, three steps, instead a small path. Not only that, on the way there are luxuriant trees, the sound of birds and gibbons howling, making your trip more mysterious, thrilling and interesting. The reward is often worth it when climbing to the top of the mountain Setting foot on the top of the mountain, your efforts are also rewarded, all fatigue, body aches seem to disappear. Take a deep breath and feel the wonderful atmosphere here. In front of you is the majestic natural scenery of mountains, immense sea and sky. Feel free to talk to the people living here. They are very sincere and open. Snorkeling to see corals, catching sea urchins Early the next day, have breakfast and sip coffee, receive a helmet and rented motorbike when going to the island, priced at 120,000 VND/day, you start to explore the route around the island. Coconuts are characteristic of this island. Here, coconuts grow from the beach up halfway up the hill. Every tree is so tall with very unique and strange poses. So for tourists, Hon Son is also known by another familiar name, “Coconut Island”. The road around the island For that reason, some local names of beaches are called other names such as leaning coconut trees, lying coconut trees or coconut rows, etc. To protect coconuts, people nail along the tree trunks so that tourists don’t sit up, avoid the tree uprooted and make a safe exit to serve guests taking pictures. There are also beautiful natural rock beaches around the island. Maybe because of many rocks, the island is called Hon Son. Hon Son Rai – the name may also come from the shape of this rock After visiting the island, you can rent a small boat to the sea, priced at 120,000 VND/person. You will be diving to see corals and fish. The beach here is full of urchins. After an hour of swimming and scuba diving, you can enjoy a lunch full of fresh seafood right on the fish raft, such as swimming crabs for only 400,000 VND/kg, special squid porridge with the sweetness of squid and the warmth of ginger. A very cute little shop selling snacks on the island The leaning coconut tree is nailed so that visitors do not sit, climb, or break the tree Visitors are extremely excited to see the sea and eat seafood in Hon Son A point you should not miss when coming to Hon Son is the rocky beach and the beach with the most beautiful beach on the island. The rock area has a very large rock, shaped like a snake. People here call it the snake head rock, but when you check-in online, it will appear “Hon Son Rai”. This rock is very big and quite flat, so in the afternoon, lying on it, watching the sunset, is very cool. In the evening, order a hot pot to eat right at the beach and then climb up to “Hon Son Rai” to lie down and enjoy the cool wind and cool breeze without disturbing mosquitoes, making you just want to sleep here until morning to conveniently watch the sunrise. How to go to Hon Son Currently, there are two trains every day to Hon Son island. You should call to book tickets before going to the port, to avoid the situation of running out of tickets. Train tickets can be booked online and paid by bank transfer, very convenient. Ticket price is 280,000 VND/round trip. Visitors should book a trip at 7:30 am and go to the pier early, about 1 hour before breakfast, then visit the toad market located across the street opposite the port to buy some fruit to bring, because there is almost no sale on the island. The fruits here are delicious and cheap. At 7:30, the ship left the pier. After about 15 minutes, the driver will open the door for guests to get on the deck to open up. Up here, you are free to take pictures of the ship turning waves to the sea. The scenery is very beautiful and windy, so it is very suitable for you who have motion sickness. There are two seasons here, the rainy season and the dry season. The best time to go is from November to March, at this time it does not rain and the sea is calm, convenient for climbing and scuba diving. The people here are very friendly and likable. You book any motel or hotel with a caller ready to pick you up at the port. On the island, there are many accommodation services for you to choose from, from homestays to affordable guesthouses, the average cost is from 170,000 to 800,000 VND/room.

Waterfall Bay. https://dulich.petrotimes.vn/ The Sang mountain area is adjacent to the prehistoric archaeological site with the autumn-winter battle at Khoang Bo rapids. Bright Mountain is also hidden in the deep green and serenity of a magnificent and very spectacular landscape. In the mountain, there are primeval forests, many kinds of precious trees, strange flowers and plants. On Sang Mountain, there is a beautiful scene that is both majestic and spectacular, which is Bay waterfall. This is a waterfall created by a stream flowing down from the top of Sang Mountain. The long-term flow from the endless mountain land has created many rapids. Until now, people in the area have not yet determined how many waterfalls there are in the Bay waterfall system. Sometimes it is four, sometimes five or seven peaks, and then some indigenous people claim to have all nine waterfalls. The waterfalls are connected in a row, the higher you go, the higher the waterfall steps, creating a spectacular scene. Bay Waterfall is the name of the highest waterfall and is considered the common name of the whole waterfall system. The wild beauty of Sang Mountain. https://dulich.petrotimes.vn/ To be able to reach Bay waterfall, you have to go to the shore of Bo Lac Lake – a reservoir built by local people with wisdom, labor and determination higher than the mountain since the 80s of the century. before. From here, to admire all the fanciful beauty of all the peaks in the Bay waterfall system, visitors should not go on the mountain trail but wade upstream along the stream. In this way, although it will be much more adventurous and difficult, but in return, you can admire the beauty of the mountains and the waterfall from a different angle, wild and extremely charming. Here, the water and the air “separate” each person in their own way: the water flows down the stream and the air rolls backwards, forming a gust of wind that blows all around, like a hurricane accompanied by rain. Visitors coming here inevitably get wet, but even though their clothes are wet, they still fly, their hair also flutters and everything flies… Maybe that’s why people call it Bay waterfall. The old people in the region recounted: “Bay Waterfall is the new name given, formerly known as Drum Waterfall to fight the army because it is said that Mr. From there, you will go up to Bach Bung, De Tham cave”. Hai Luu Stork Garden. https://dulich.petrotimes.vn/ Passing through the Bay waterfall, from there up high, we will come to Bach Bung beach, where De Thuan in the past planted rice. On Sang Mountain, there was once a mountain called Bach Bung. The Van Dai Book of Languages says: “Nu Sang is the highest peak in the Lich mountain range. The top of the mountain has several flat places like a palace, with the temple of De Thuan”. Sang Mountain has an abundant water source flowing all year round creating many rapids, beautiful lakes and providing irrigation and fishery resources. The large streams are the habitat of many aquatic species (goby, catfish, perch, trach locust, shrimp, shrimp, crab…). Those who go to the mountains often fish grilled on the spot. A fire stove, a wine pot, a few fish skewers make a party for tourists who love the natural life. Currently, local authorities have built large streams to create dams to hold water for agricultural production, aquaculture and eco-tourism. That is Bo Lac lake in the south, Suoi Sai lake in the north of Sang mountain. In addition, there is also a picnic ecological area (Hai Luu stork garden), historical and cultural relic area (Binh Son tower), historical site ( Khoan Bo rapids) and Hai Luu stone crafting village. https://dulich.petrotimes.vn/

A person with COVID-19 has appeared on the top of the world’s 7th highest mountain Dhaulagiri. Photo: Nepal Travel Guide According to Sputnik, in the past two days alone, at least 19 people have been evacuated from the main stop on the top of Dhaulagiri after some showed signs of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. After testing, 7 of the evacuated climbers tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Mr. Mingma Sherpa – Chairman of Dhaulagri Seven Summits travel agency confirmed the latest developments. Located in western Nepal, Dhaulagiri is the 7th highest mountain in the world. The second wave of COVID-19 is causing extremely heavy damage to India and neighboring South Asian countries. Nepal – a country with a population of 30 million people similar to the Indian capital New Delhi – has begun to record more than 2,000 new infections a day. In April, a Norwegian climber was the first to test positive for COVID-19 after being taken from the Everest base station to a hospital in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, for testing. The climber said he had symptoms similar to high-altitude pulmonary edema, which is common among people 2,500 meters above sea level. To date, Mount Everest has seen at least 30 climbers infected with COVID-19. Despite consistently recording COVID-19 cases on top of the world’s highest mountain, Nepal remains open to expeditions to balance its economy hit by the pandemic. The Ministry of Tourism of Nepal has issued permits for 377 climbers to climb Mount Everest. After detecting positive cases of COVID-19 at the Everest and Dhaulagiri rest stops, the Nepalese military began to conduct tests on the remaining climbers. Meanwhile, on the other side of the mountain range, China suspended tours to explore Everest before the pandemic.

Mount Everest. Photo: Reuters Camping sites on the slopes of Mount Everest on the Nepal side have been affected by a series of COVID-19 cases since late April. The Nepal government, not wanting to cut off revenue from tourism, has yet to cancel the spring climbing season, which usually runs from April to early June, before the rainy season. According to the Xinhua News Agency , a group of Tibetan climbing guides will climb Everest and set up a “boundary” to prevent any contact between climbers from both sides. It is not clear how the divider will be set up on Mount Everest – which is only the size of a dining table, and has an extremely harsh climate. And it’s not clear whether the Tibetan guides will just put up a fence, or have to stay in the area of Mount Everest to keep the divider. This is known as the “death zone”, where many people died due to lack of oxygen. According to the Reuters , the 8,848m high peak is just a small snow mound, with just enough space for about 5-6 climbers and guides. China has not allowed any foreign climbers to climb Everest from the Tibetan side since the COVID-19 outbreak last year. China on Sunday recorded 12 new COVID-19 cases, all imported cases. Meanwhile, Nepal reported 9,023 new cases on Friday – a record increase in the country.

Although I have traveled to many places and conquered many mountain peaks with beautiful landscapes in the world, the journey to Nhiu Co San, Lung Cung and Lao Than is a trip that really leaves many memories with difficult impressions. forget. The trip is like reading a special book that each person usually only reads once. Photographer Hung Lekima and his friends have just had a trip to conquer the unique peaks in Lao Cai, where few people know about. He shares this journey with travel followers of Zing . Photographer Viet Hung Lekima atop Nhiu Co San. Cloud hunting season is usually from about October this year to April next year. We have three journeys to three different peaks in Lao Cai and Yen Bai from September to November 2020. Each time our group has from 15 to 20 members. The most memorable memory is the trip under the rain and mud, it took 8 hours to get to the shack at an altitude of 2,100 m, the rain showed no sign of stopping. The next day, we had to wait, watch, really wanted everyone to have more time to rest, so we started later than expected. When I finished climbing to the top, back to the shack, many of my companions left early, but there were also people who returned when it was already dark. Walking in the dark forest, slippery roads, raining… a heart-pounding experience… Lao Than – roof of Y Ty’s house It is said that it takes two stones to make fire, and it takes teamwork and cooperation to achieve great things. In times of fatigue when conquering the mountain peaks, I still see people around me sharing each other’s cakes, bottles of water, medicine and other drugs. Even unfortunately, someone got injured, walked slowly, someone stayed with the porter to help them… There was no shortage of words of encouragement to overcome difficulties together, especially when our group traveled a lot when it was raining, cold and muddy. When you face many difficulties while climbing, it is also a fertile ground to show the other world inside you, the world of compassion, helping people around, which are priceless things. Located at an altitude of 2,860 m, Lao Than peak is considered as the roof of Y Ty, in the territory of Phin Ho village, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province. This mountain is one of the unspoiled places with primeval forests and rich vegetation offering a variety of landscapes. When you return, put yourself in the heart of nature, whether unconsciously or not you feel so small and feel equal to all living things. It helps you to see things become lighter, regain inner optimism and bring fresh vitality after each trip. Located at an altitude of 2,913 m, Lung Cung peak is named after a village located deep in the rugged and beautiful mountains in Nam Co commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai. To conquer this mountain, we had to sit behind a motorbike 15 km on a slippery road, our hearts wanted to jump out of our chests. Many sections can not sit in the car but have to walk in drizzly and blind weather. But after strenuously climbing to an altitude of more than 2,300 meters, a miracle happened. We were surprised: “This is the paradise of the heavens”. The sun is warm and welcoming. A whole river of white clouds played at my feet, like I didn’t know and thought a bit about how cold and wet the ground was… My heart seemed to burst. Remember the feeling of helplessness when your legs hurt too much, your back is tired but you still don’t know when you can get down the mountain. Remember the hikes in the pouring rain, cold, slippery roads and muddy feet. Remember the temporary lunches on the road that could not be lit because the wind was too strong. Remember how many times you were about to give up, or the most difficult and tiring times on the mountain, thinking that you would not climb any more mountains… Having appeared for a long time in the world, the sport of mountain climbing seems to be still quite new in Vietnam. Even many people think that it is simply another name for “phèo”. In fact, climbing is a form of adventure tourism, an outdoor sport where participants do not have any means of transportation other than their own feet. You climb mountains not so the world can see you, but so you can see the magical world of yourself. When we crossed the hills, mountains, plateaus and strange countryside by ourselves, we had to accept much more difficulties and hardships. And surely there will be no shortage of times when bored and tired, it seems that you can give up. But the feeling of approaching the magical world inside you, touching the very beautiful, wild and pure pieces of the forest and nature is truly worth a thousand times the hardship that we have experienced. by.

This beautiful blue-colored lake, located between the peaks of the Karakoram Mountains in northern Pakistan, but little is known has proven its terrifying origins.
In January 2010, an earthquake in the area caused a landslide that crashed down the mountain and buried the village of Attabad, in the Hunza Valley, in the Gilgit Baltistan region, about 760 kilometers from Islamabad.

Rock and soil also flow into the drainage area of the Hunza River and quickly fill the area, creating a new lake. The landslide, which displaced about 6,000 people and damaged, flooded more than 20 kilometers of the important Karakoram highway, was the only connection to the outback at the time. Karakoram Expressway started construction in 1959 by China and Pakistan together and completed 20 years later, in 1979. About five months after the disaster, Lake Attabad expanded to 21 kilometers long and more than 100 meters deep. The lake runs along the valley, narrow like a large, blue serpent, adding to the breathtaking beauty of the Gilgit and Hunza valleys. The truth behind a picturesque blue lake in Pakistan The beautiful blue color of the lake is like blending with the sky, creating a beautiful natural painting. Nestled among the majestic Karakoram mountains in northern Pakistan, Lake Attabad is currently the largest lake in this Gilgit-Baltistan region. The lake becomes a major tourist attraction. Hotels and guesthouses spring up around the lake, along with a variety of recreational activities such as boating, water motorbikes and fishing. But for those affected by the landslide, the lake, the scenery is not quite as picturesque. The Attabad disaster completely engulfed four villages including Ainabad, Shishkat, Gulmit and Gulkin. Apple Tree Garden with many hundreds of years old trees, historic sites, temples are submerged in the lake. At that time, the army evacuated the local people and temporarily took them to another valley. Highway is flooded, vehicles, passengers and goods must travel by wooden boat. Five years later, the Karakoram Expressway changed course along the shores of the lake and people’s lives returned to normal. Today, Lake Attabad attracts tourists from all over the world, freely admiring the special wonder created by nature. Pakistan has many beautiful lakes such as Lake Borith located at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level, or Passu glacier lake in the middle of mountains … but few lakes have both natural beauty and disintegration like Lake Attabad. .

Photo: CNN The salt mountains in Port Fouad are now becoming a tourist attraction because of the amplified images that make viewers feel that you are having an extremely enjoyable experience with white snow. Egyptian photographer Mohamed Wardany told CNN that visitors can take a ferry across the Suez Canal to experience the salt city. Many tourists gather at the foot of the salt mountain. The tourism industry of this country hopes that this idea will help visitors see a new image of Egyptian tourism instead of just thinking about the mysterious Pyramids every time they come to this country. Salt mountain destination in Egypt is becoming more popular than ever.
