When talking with the owner, the designer understands that the owner is someone interested in cooking and eating. How to have many shelves, make the most of the space without making the space heavy. To solve this, with the kitchen cabinet system, the designer has combined the storage cabinet into a unified block, and processed the curves of the cabinet wings to create a softer feel.

Instead of arranging the kitchen at the end of the house as usual, the designer did the opposite, bringing the kitchen to the front, the dining table to the back of the house, organized a large kitchen island in the center to exploit the darkness. multi-function of this area.

Thanks to that, on the holidays, when crowded guests and relatives gather, the kitchen island becomes the center of all activities, everyone can cook and talk together.

The designer added: “Because the family also has two small children, I want to create a youthful, gentle atmosphere through the use of bright color materials, the treatment of curved arches and ceilings. curved.

The kitchen island is also created with a soft, alternative shape to remove the straight and square lines that are often seen in street houses. Besides, in order to avoid the feeling that the shelves are a rigid and heavy block, I used green marble shelves to create a feeling of freshness, contrasting with the paint effect of the kitchen island and that created a highlight for the overall layout of the project ”.

Another interesting thing about this townhouse is the living space and study corner on the second floor. From the bedroom, the designer introduced indirect light into the child’s study area through the sliding glass wall. This solution also makes it feel like the bedroom is visually enlarged.
