The Fantasy of Artificial Intelligence by Gary Smith shows an age of perfect memories and superhuman computer abilities. However, with it are fantasies and fears for the future of humanity.
Fantasy of artificial intelligence divided into 12 chapters, including many real-life examples from history, such as the 2008 US presidential election, IBM’s AI Watson and many other famous artificial intelligence projects with the aim of clarifying how intelligence artificial information processing.

Fantasy of artificial intelligence has just been released in Vietnam. (Source: Nha Nam) The book also gives the final result and points out the difference between AI (Artificial Intelligence) and the human brain, thereby showing readers the risks of over-reliance on machine results. count. In the first four chapters, the author has used a lot of real-life examples to explain in an easy way how artificial intelligence works and how they produce the end result. The author claims that robots have surpassed humans in repetitive monotonous tasks, they have better memory, perform more accurate calculations and are tireless. But artificial intelligence is not programmed to simulate the human brain, and artificial intelligence cannot think, reason, and reason. Since then, the author asserts, until now, computers with comprehensive intelligence enough to compete with humans have not yet existed. In the next two chapters, by referring to “Data Mining”, it is proven fact that data mining even though sometimes there will be a real knowledge discovery. The larger the number of explanatory variables considered, the more likely it is that a relationship discovered is just a coincidence, of temporary nature. In the remaining chapters of the book, the author has given many computational models in many fields such as finance, politics, economics… to prove that statistical evidence is not enough to distinguish between knowledge real and false consciousness. The computer cannot accurately judge whether the correlation is random or truly significant. That work is only for the human mind. Computers smarter than humans? It can be said that artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most interested keywords. Now, thanks to AI, we can do things that were never possible before and never thought we could do. However, with AI’s undisputed capabilities are fantasies and fears for the future of humanity. The real danger is not that the computer is smarter than us, but that we think the computer is smarter than us and therefore trust the computer to make important decisions for us. Meanwhile, computers can completely make serious mistakes, when the way they process data is not the same as the way humans think. In conclusion, human intelligence works differently from artificial intelligence, so it cannot be said that artificial intelligence is intelligent. Robots excel in memory, accuracy, and endurance, but they still have many shortcomings: they can’t think, can’t make analogies, and can’t distinguish between good-bad, meaningless-meaningful data. Humans need computers to process large amounts of information, but also need human intelligence to make final judgments about the results returned by computers. Gary Smith is a Professor at Pomona College, USA. He is involved in numerous research projects that highlight the questionable use of data in statistical analysis. He is the author of 8 textbooks, 7 business books, nearly 100 academic articles, and 7 software programs in economics, finance, and statistics. In addition to teaching at Pomona College, he is also an economic analyst and consultant. His other famous books such as Standard Deviation: Flawed Assumptions and Tortured Data also warn about the dangers of confusing correlation and causation in statistical analysis.

Audiobooks (audiobooks) have been developed in Vietnam for many years, mostly non-copyrighted content shared on app stores or social networks.

However, since the beginning of 2020, the Vietnamese audiobook market has witnessed the participation of young, but ambitious companies who want to develop a copyrighted Vietnamese audiobook platform. Audiobooks on Voiz FM are all copyrighted content. Photo: FB Voiz FM. In early 2020, the Voiz FM platform was born. Built by technology joint stock company WeWe, Voiz FM targets the $2 billion market in Southeast Asia. Voiz FM receives investment from 500 Startup Vietnam fund, and has copyright cooperation from book companies such as First News – Tri Viet, Bach Viet, SaigonBooks… Up to now, Voiz FM has nearly 180 thousand subscribers, an impressive growth compared to the number of 100,000 users announced at the end of 2020. The total number of titles on this system includes about 230 books. structure, approximately 600 non-fiction books, and a variety of podcast content. Besides Voiz FM, around April 2020, another audiobook application entered the market. The application name is Fonos, invested by Hustle Fund, with the companion of Shark Thai Van Linh. Not less than Voiz FM, Fonos quickly signed exclusive rights with a series of big book companies such as Nha Nam, Alphabooks, Thai Ha… to adapt their content to the platform. Image promoting the audiobook Finding Yourself in the Post-Childhood World. Photo: FB Fonts. Up to now, Fonos has about 100,000 users, along with a content database of more than 150 titles from major domestic book companies. Books on Fonos are all read by reputable and experienced voice-talents. It is not difficult to see that the content on Fonos and Voiz FM is exclusive, without interference. If you are an audiobook lover in Vietnam, you will need to register for an account on both platforms to fully enjoy these contents. Developing copyrighted digital content is the future of the publishing industry in the world, and Vietnam will certainly have to follow this path. In Vietnam, it is still very difficult to convince readers to spend money on audiobook content in particular, and digital content in general, because it is too easy to access pirated content sources. Hopefully in the future, there will be more support from management agencies to promote young units, such as Fonos, Voiz FM, to be confident in their activities.

In order to meet the needs of people to learn and read books, in recent years, Hanoi has formed quite interesting book streets, creating an attraction for readers. This is not only a fun and healthy playground but also a cultural space to improve the reading culture of the people of the capital.

In Hoan Kiem district, there is a book street that attracts a large number of people, which is the book street 19-12. This street was formerly known as Am Phu market (market 19-12). At one point, this was also a car park for offices and offices. About 200m long, 19-12 book street has one end connecting Hai Ba Trung street, the other end connecting to Ly Thuong Kiet street and next to the City People’s Court. Hanoi. Officially opened from May 2017, the 19-12 book street is not only a place to sell books but also a cultural space, where events such as introducing new works, meeting and talking with authors. Book street symbols 19-12 at two ends of the street. 19-12 book street is designed quite nicely to create an extremely spacious and airy space. This small street is also the home of 16 famous bookstores such as Kim Dong, Dinh Ty, Nha Nam, Thai Ha Books, Phuong Nam … This is also the convergence of many good books and books. of famous domestic and international publishers. The first sign for us to recognize the book street space is the presence of two book street symbols at the ends of two streets. Walking on the clean gray stone paved road, readers can admire the neatly arranged books on wooden shelves. The convergence place of many famous publishers. According to Ms. Nguyen Hong Van (in Hai Ba Trung district), the books here are divided into many categories such as children’s story books, foreign language books, foreign novels, Vietnamese literature … so readers will not have to. it takes time to search: “My daughter and I have to go 3-4 times a week because the house is close by. I love reading and also want to inspire my daughter ”. Many new books are interested by readers. In the middle of the street is a small square. This is the place that often organizes exchange activities, seminars and introduction of books of domestic and foreign authors. For the convenience of sightseeing, the book street has equipped 2 public electronic information search stations and e-books to help readers and visitors learn thoroughly about the history, culture and tourism of Hanoi. “I find the reading space here is very relaxed, civilized and modern. In addition to reading books, I also have fun and drink coffee with my friends ”- Ms. Nguyen Linh, from Cau Giay district shared. Many young people come here to buy books. To avoid the inconveniences of the narrow space inside the booths, each publisher arranged small chairs for readers to read and also to visitors to sit and rest. Therefore, here will not have to compete, crowded seats to rest or fear anyone complaining about sitting for long because it is completely free. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, the first impression that anyone can easily see is the uniqueness of the decoration of the bookstores, the wooden chairs dotted with the green color of the trees. brilliant flowers. On the weekends, many readers have come to the book street. When we come to the book street, we will enjoy a quiet space and immerse ourselves in the world of good books, famous, is the specialty that makes this unique street. Not only a destination for genuine “bookworm” people, Book Street 19-12 is also a famous tourist destination that many tourists visit from all over the world.
