Komorebi [木漏れ日] is a Japanese word that means “sunbeams through the leaves”. According to AD9 Architects, the word Komorebi has many special layers of meaning, which are difficult to describe in other languages. . Therefore, the meaning of this word Komorebi we can understand with many other special meanings. The purpose of the project is to create a stopover for tourists here, the rooms are designed with sufficient area, minimalist interior, pure space for accommodation needs. The overall function of the project emphasizes the applicability as well as the living habits for guests to experience. Komorebi project has an area of ​​150 m² located in the center of Da Lat city. Komorebi stands out in the middle of Da Lat city because the house has white tones throughout with many different shaped windows. When starting the conceptual work for the project, Architects AD9 Architects identified Komorebi as a subject and the surrounding context as the core element. The elements around are linked in the most natural way. Here, the main shapes and colors chosen by the architect are simply self-perceptions derived from the above concept. People and scenes revolve around things become connected and harmonious, ensuring the new existence of the work is balanced and inseparable from the actual context. The building was renovated from an old house on a high slope. True to the meaning of the work, when stepping inside, it is filled with light, like “sunbeams through the leaves”. Architects AD9 Architects use wooden doorways and slats to express the meaning of the building “sunbeams through the leaves”. The change in light effects, shadows cast through each time of the day are different expressions of vision and emotions for the experience that each individual is different, but the interesting thing is that. It is a system of windows and wooden slats that create conditions for sunlight to enter. White horizontal blinds make the house more airy, but still ensure privacy when needed. The wooden beams and doorways also create a shadow effect on the walls of the house, and at the same time create an interesting feeling for the footsteps when going upstairs. The transparent glass roof helps natural light spread throughout the indoor space. The rooms are designed with sufficient area, minimalist interior, pure space for accommodation needs. Many trees, colorful flowers create accents in the front of the building. The toilet has a simple design, with blue tiles creating a cool and pleasant feeling.
