As soon as the attack was discovered, appropriate controls were put in place to lock down the accounts of MPs and staff working in Parliament to ensure that information was not compromised. These measures prevented malicious actors, but left MPs and staff working for the Australian Parliament unable to access their accounts on the Parliament computer network for about a week. On the same day, March 27, the computer network of one of Australia’s largest media companies, Nine Entertainment, was also attacked by hackers, affecting the broadcast of many television programs. Nine Entertainment was forced to change broadcast locations and rebroadcast some old shows to overcome the impact of this attack. According to information from Australian authorities, in recent years, public agencies and businesses of this country have become the target of many cyber attacks. Typically, the National Assembly computer network attack before the country held the National Assembly elections in 2019. MP Andrew Hastie, Australia’s assistant defense minister, said: “Cyber attacks are low-cost and difficult to detect. At the same time, these attacks can be carried out at any time and from any location”, so it’s time to think about “cyberspace as a battlefield”.

Sen. Andrew Brenner of Ohio State (bottom right) was exposed while driving while a Zoom meeting to discuss the ban on distracted driving US media reported that on May 7, Ohio Senator Andrew Brenner was exposed to an unfavorable situation, he was driving and discussing the bill prohibiting distraction while driving the state. The senator used fake backgrounds (indoor furniture) for online Zoom meetings with other congressmen, discussing passing a new bill banning distracting driving, such as watching videos or texting. Video calling. At the beginning of the meeting, the car was parked, but the senator turned on the backdrop pretending to be at home, then fastened his seat belt and drove away somewhere. The funny thing is Senator Brenner thinks his fake backdrop covers all meeting attendees. Explaining to the press, he still insists that making a video call is no different than making a phone call. “During video calls, I don’t pay attention to video. It felt like a regular phone call to me, ”he told NBC media. In the very short video below, you can see him looking at the screen many times, like you look at your phone while texting. This is considered distracting driving everywhere else, not just Ohio. Research has shown that checking a phone while driving causes distraction in 4.6 seconds. Things can go bad in such a short time frame.

Most likely Ms. Annalena Baerbock will be the next Prime Minister of Germany. Photo: Reuters Earlier on April 19, the Green Party announced party leader Annalena Baerbock, 40, as the official candidate to run for the federal prime minister position in the election campaign in September. Baerbock is also the first woman of the Green Party to run for Germany’s prime minister and may also be the only female character in the German leadership race this year. Ms. Annalena Baerbock was born on December 15, 1980 in Hannover, has been a member of the German Federal Parliament since 2013 and has been co-chair of the Green Party since January 2018. In her first speech as a candidate for the Green party, Ms. Baerbock declared, her party is entering a new phase and “if we do well, it will be for the country.” Previous polls showed that the Green Party is still ranked second after the current conservative Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU / CSU coalition, with a rating of about 22%, but higher than the rate Social Democrats (SPD). In German history from 1949 up to now, Baerbock is the second woman after the current Chancellor Angela Merkel to run for the position of Prime Minister of Germany. In addition, Ms. Baerbock is also the youngest candidate to run for this position.

On April 16, the presidential palace of Korea said that Mr. Kim Boo-kyum, a former four-term MP and also a former Interior Minister, was nominated as the new Prime Minister of Korea.

Mr. Kim Boo-kyum (left), a former four-term congressman and former Interior Minister, was nominated as the new Prime Minister of Korea. (Source: Yonhap)

President Moon Jae-in’s selection of this figure in a reform of his cabinet seems to be aimed at giving new momentum to his leadership, which has been affected by the ruling Democrats’ defeat in the Mayor election Seoul and Busan on April 7.

If approved by the Korean National Assembly, Mr. Kim Boo-kyum will replace Mr. Chung Sye-kyun, who has resigned after 15 months in this position. Chung is expected to participate in the presidential election of South Korea next year.

Mr. Kim held the position of Interior Minister from 2017-2019 and ran for MP in Daegu city, 302 km southeast of Seoul, as a candidate for the ruling party.

Mr. Kim was born in 1958 in Sangju town, North Gyeongsang province, the stronghold of the main opposition People’s Power Party (PPP).

Political observers see President Moon’s choice of Mr. Kim as a political message towards national unity.

Both Mr. Chung and Mr. Lee Nak-yon, the first Prime Minister in the Moon administration, are from Jeolla Province, the southwestern province, the longstanding power base of the Democratic Party.

(According to Yonhap)
