Both the Coupe and Cabriolet variants get a new 3.8-liter boxer engine with two VTG turbochargers, producing 478 kW (650 PS), a 51 kW (70 PS) increase over its predecessor. Maximum torque is now 800 Nm (50 Nm increase). The exclusive Porsche 8-speed dual-clutch (PDK) automatic transmission for the Turbo version shortens the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h to 2.7 seconds (0.2 seconds faster), in when the constant top speed reaches 330 km / h.
