The ancient amulet has just been presented to the Israel Antiquities Authority. A bronze amulet engraved with God’s name and magical symbols for protection from evil spirits and the “evil eye” curse has been turned over to authorities after being unearthed in northern Israel 40 years ago. before. According to the IAA , the amulet once worn on a necklace is believed to date to about 1,500 years ago during the Byzantine period . At that time, the region was ruled by the Eastern Roman Empire, also known as the Byzantine Empire after Byzantium, the old name of the city in which it was based (later Byzantium was renamed Constantinople and now It’s Istanbul now.) Although the amulet is engraved with Greek letters, they spell the Jewish name IAW, a form of the name “Yahweh” in the English alphabet. This bronze amulet, about eight centimeters long and four centimeters wide, was found near the site of an ancient synagogue at Arbel, just west of the Sea of Galilee. Eitan Klein, an archaeologist with the IAA, said the location and inscriptions suggest that the amulet may have been worn by a Jewish, not necessarily Christian, regardless of its origin. its religion, “Although scholars often identify wearers of such amulets as Christians, the fact that the amulet was found in a Jewish settlement that had a synagogue in the fifth and sixth centuries A.D. might indicate that even the Jews of that period wore amulets of this kind to protect against the evil eye and the devil,” says Klein. Devil’s Eye This type of charm was relatively common at that time in Galilee and what is now Lebanon; They are sometimes known as a form of the “Seal of Solomon”, named after the legendary king of Israel. One side of this amulet features a galloping horseman with a halo on his head, thrusting a spear into a woman lying on her back. A Greek inscription carved above the rider’s head reads “The Only God Who Conquers Evil” and God’s name in Greek letters – IAW – is engraved underneath the horse’s feet. The other side depicts an eye pierced by an arrow and an object split in half. The eye appears to be threatened by two lions, a snake, a scorpion, and a bird below it, and a Greek letter abbreviation meaning “One Lord” engraved above it. above it. The amulet was probably made to protect people against evil spirits and a magical curse known as the evil eye, a long-held belief throughout the ancient world at least as far back as the sixth century. B.C. According to this belief, some magicians are said to be able to lift the curse with a malicious look, while those who receive it will be injured or have misfortune. “The equestrian is depicted conquering evil spirits, in this case a woman identified with the Greek mythological figure of Gello or Gyllou, who threatens women and children,” Klein said. and is related to the evil eye,” Klein said. “The eye on the back is identifiable as a demon eye that is attacked and destroyed in various ways. Therefore, the amulet was probably used to protect women and children.” A family member of the finder, now deceased, recently turned over the amulet to the Israel Antiquities Authority, and Klein encourages those with similar treasures to do the same. The amulet is believed to date back to the late Talmudic period in Jewish history, when traditional Jewish theology and law were formalized in a collection of written works known as the Talmud. The synagogue in Arbel is often mentioned in historical sources from Talmudic times, Klein said; where there was a linen manufacturing industry, and many Jewish sages visited or taught there.

According to Feng Shui, placing the following 7 items in the bedroom will create a bad influence on the luck of the room, causing you to have problems with health, fame, fortune… Mirror Mirror is a necessary application for many people. However, improperly placing the mirror will create bad luck in feng shui. Improperly placing the mirror in the bedroom will make the husband and wife relationship progress badly, prone to conflicts, turbulence… If you want to place a mirror in the bedroom, you need to choose the appropriate position. Absolutely do not place the mirror opposite the bed, window and door, otherwise you will have many nightmares, unable to sleep well. Buddha Placing Buddha and God statues in the room is a great taboo in feng shui. Placing Buddha and God statues will adversely affect your mood and sleep. In particular, from a religious perspective, statues of Buddhas and Gods need to be placed in dignified and solemn positions. The bedroom is our personal living space, placing Buddha and God statues in the bedroom is disrespectful to them. Electrical Appliances You should not put too many electrical appliances in the bedroom. Even small electrical appliances such as chargers, insecticidal lamps, etc. also carry electromagnetic radiation. Leaving electrical appliances in the bedroom for a long time will adversely affect health. In addition, the electrical appliances have a large Fire character. Leaving too many electrical appliances in the house will adversely affect your mood and health. Eliminating unnecessary electrical appliances and charging phones at least 2m away from the bed will help you sleep better and have better health. Relics, antiquities Many people have a habit of collecting relics and antiquities and prefer to keep them in quiet places like bedrooms. But this habit according to feng shui is what makes homeowners often have poor sleep. The relics and antiquities carry a large amount of yin, which will create a bad influence on the yang of people. Because of this, placing these items in the bedroom will make you more likely to encounter strange dreams, restless mind. Weapons vũ According to the concept of feng shui, weapons such as swords, bows and arrows are great things in the bedroom. These are sharp objects with high killing intent, when placed in the bedroom will create bad pressure on us. Staying in a bedroom with weapons or sharp objects will cause you headaches, insecurity, stress, even work and life are not favorable. In addition, leaving these items in the bedroom is also easy to injure you and others Aquarium The aquarium is a highly dynamic object, representing the element of Water. Meanwhile, the bedroom needs a quiet, harmonious space. If the aquarium is not properly placed in the bedroom, it will make the homeowner prone to conflicts and discord with those around them. In addition, it also makes it difficult for you to sleep, not sleeping deeply. If your family does not have much space but wants to choose the location of the aquarium that is suitable for feng shui and attracts fortune, you need to consult a feng shui expert to set the right location and the best direction. Placing too many metal items Metal objects are highly cold. When placed in the bedroom, it will not create a feeling of warmth and comfort and may cause you to experience feelings, stress and insecurity. Limiting the placement of metal items in the bedroom and replacing it with other materials will help you feel more relaxed. * Information for reference and contemplation.

Archaeologists examine the mummy. Everyone thinks this is an “unprecedented” archaeological find, but the truth is just a sophisticated scam. Shocking discovery In October 2000, police in Karachi, Pakistan received a tip that a man named Ali Akbar was selling a mummy for 600 million rupees, or about $11 million. According to the source, it was not an ordinary mummy, but “Princess of Persia”. Immediately, the police raided Akbar’s house, searched and questioned the suspect. Akbar then took the police to the home of his accomplice, Wali Mohammad Reeki, in the desert region of Baluchistan province. Here, the mummy in question along with the coffin was found. Reeki admitted to buying the artifact from a man named Sharif Shah Bakhi. This person told him that the body was discovered after an earthquake near Quetta, on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. Two men are arrested for smuggling antiquities, but the mystery of the mummy has only just begun. If it is true “Princess of Persia”, this will be a very important discovery, because no mummies of the Persians (present-day Iran) have been found. The mummy was brought to the National Museum in Karachi for experts to analyze and many mysteries surrounding this ancient man were revealed. The body was mummified in the Egyptian style, with a mask and a golden crown, placed on a reed mat. But the most interesting find was a breastplate covering the mummy’s chest, on which the ancient Persian inscription, “I am the daughter of the great king Xerxes. Mazereka protects me. I am Rhodugune.” In addition, the gilded wooden coffin is also decorated with carved lines also in ancient Persian letters. It all seems to show that this is indeed the Princess of Persia. Pakistani archaeologist, Ahmad Hasan Dani, of Islamabad’s Quaid-e-Azam University, excitedly announced in a press conference that, from what was recorded, the mummy was indeed a Ba princess. Tu, lived around 600 BC. This event sparked a dispute between Iran and Pakistan over the ownership of this unprecedented archaeological find. The Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization declared the “princess” to be a member of the royal family of Persia and demanded that Pakistan return the mummy, and even the Taliban movement in Afghanistan claimed it was their own artifact. Unexpected truth Mummy “Princess of Persia” in coffin. The fierce arguments between the parties have become a political problem, easily leading to conflicts. Meanwhile, some other archaeologists have raised doubts that this is the “Princess of Persia”, even a mummy. An independent examination was conducted and the archaeologists went from surprise to surprise. First of all, ancient linguists found that the writing on the mummy’s breast shield and the coffin was written by someone who was not fluent in the ancient Persian language, rife with grammatical errors, and even traces of pencil marks for inscriptions, which pencils were only invented in the 16th century. In addition, a piece of coffin was examined, it was only about 250 years old, and the carpet underneath the body was discovered to be only… 5 years old. Unusual signs were also found in the body of the “princess”, such as the delicate tendons and ligaments of the middle ear that were still intact, despite thousands of years and the mummification process. did not follow the strict methods of Egypt. For example, the heart was removed, which the Egyptians never did, as it was considered important to regenerate a person’s body when they went to the next world. Multiple CAT scans (computerized axial tomography), accelerated mass spectrometry dating, radiocarbon testing, and X-ray scans all proved this to be a hoax. delicate. In the end, scientists determined, there is no “Princess of Persia”, but this is the body of a 16-year-old girl, who may have died in 1996, not 600 BC. Not only that, there is evidence that the girl was murdered for this fraudulent purpose. Experts also discovered that the “mummy” had died from trauma caused by the force of the impact, which broke her cervical and back vertebrae. Her organs were removed, her body cavity filled with table salt and baking soda, a fake embalming process. All of this was likely done within 24 hours of her death. From an antiquities smuggling case to a murder case. It is said that a group of fake antiquities traders brutally killed this poor girl, or at least stole her body shortly after her death, to be processed into a donkey mummy. sell for money. However, although the police questioned everyone involved in the sale of the mummy, as well as several other suspects, it led to nothing. In the end, not only was no one arrested in connection with this young woman’s death, but the victim was also not identified. She languished in museums for a while, before being buried in 2008 by the Pakistan-based charity Edhi Foundation. Although she was finally laid to rest, she remained anonymous, unclaimed, and the cause of death was not clear, forever referred to simply as “Princess of Persia”.

https://dulich.petrotimes.vn/ That precious antique vase was originally for sale at a charity shop in Hertfordshire (England), before being bought by an unnamed man for only 1 pound (about 32,000 VND). After being repeatedly asked to buy by collectors. Realizing that this ceramic vase was very valuable, he decided to bring the vase to see experts for a valuation. He brought it to the Sworders fine art auction center in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, where it is said that the vase was made during the Qianlong Emperor (reigned from 1735 to 1796). Since ancient times, when scientific and technological conditions were weak, people have invented many unique inventions that make scientists today also admire.

Li Bai (701-762) was one of the most famous poets of the Tang Dynasty in China. He is not only known as a great poet, he is also known as “Zu Trung Tien” because of his rare wine-loving style. In particular, in his poems, there was once a cup of wine that could not be exhausted no matter how he drank it: “The ladle of the falcon, the cup of the parrot, one hundred five thirty-six thousand days, one day should be inclined three hundred cups.” (Tuong Duong ca). The cup of wine “drinking forever” really exists in history. Photo: Sina Archaeologists have always been very interested in the “parrot cup” or “parrot cup” that Li Bai refers to, but such artifacts have never been excavated. It was not until the discovery of an ancient Jin Dynasty (317 – 420) tomb in 1965 that archaeologists found the strange wine glass described in these poems. Invention ahead of its time In 1965, archaeologists discovered a family tomb in Xiangshan, Nanjing. Based on the stele unearthed, the archaeological team judged that the owner of the tomb belonged to the Vuong family, one of the four largest clans of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Here, in addition to finding a large number of burial items, which are of great value to the study of family culture and funeral customs of the Wei and Jin dynasties, scientists were also very surprised. when unearthed a large snail shell in the grave . The cup was unearthed. Photo: Sina The appearance of the Anh Vu snail caused a lot of controversy in the professional world, because this was the first time they unearthed a strange artifact. Through research, the experts eventually discovered: It turns out that this is the famous “parrot cup” in history, this cup is originally made from Anh Vu snail shell. Perhaps, the owner of the tomb is also a person with a passion for wine like poet Ly Bach, so he decided to bring this cup to his final resting place. This is the first time people have unearthed a parrot cup, so experts are very interested and want to study why the parrot cup can contain such a large amount of alcohol, because from the outside, this is really a normal Anh Vu snail shell, nothing special. The secret inside To find out the answer to this problem, experts decided to take an X-ray of the cup, it turned out that the image of “300 cup tilting day” in Li Bai’s poetry was not a product of pompous tricks, it’s true. Inside the parrot cup there are lots of naturally created nets that occupy the dense interior of the prison and, all hidden nets are connected by small holes. When the ancients poured wine into the parrot cup, the wine would gradually seep into the net through small holes. In this way, when the ancients poured wine from a parrot cup, the wine inside would not be poured out all at once, but flowed out little by little under the influence of air pressure. In this way, it gives the illusion that the alcohol in it never runs out. Recreate the image inside the parrot cup. Photo: Sina After the experts learned this secret, they felt great admiration for the wisdom of the ancients. The working principle of the parrot cup is very similar to today’s activated carbon, it uses the spatial structure inside the object to achieve the purpose of slowing down the flow. Drinking with a small glass of wine with such a long pouring power is very elegant and rich in emotion, so the parrot cup is always sought after by antique wine lovers. The parrot cup is so popular, but why has it disappeared from history? Experts believe that the cause is due to the main material of the cup – the Anh Vu snail, which has a very small number. This animal lives on the seabed several hundred meters deep in the tropics and subtropics, so it is not easy to find.

Ocean antiquities are considered as hard-to-find treasures like ‘searching for a needle in the seabed, like picking stars in the sky’. The world of antiquities always contains in itself countless mysteries. Negotiations for business deals with ‘huge’ money are also very magical…
Ancient coins of King Gia Long

Le Van Em (45 years old, living in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City) is an antique dealer with a large number of antiques. I came from the business of washing bottles, then switched to selling sidewalk watches. Life moves forward, Em is predestined with marine antiquities, mainly ancient coins. In 2010, I was given some old coins from the time of King Gia Long by my uncle who went to the sea. At that time, I thought this was just for pocket fun. Unexpectedly, in my spare time on the sidewalk, I brought a coin out to polish it and thought of designing a clock face from ancient coins. Being skillful with her hands and having a job, in only 3 days, I was able to “produce” a sidewalk clock with a unique and rare antique facade that is hard to find. Customers who have money, like to play unique goods, pay very high prices. I sold the antique watch for 30 million dong. From 5 ancient coins, Em earned a good amount of money, changed her life, people began to mention the nickname Em “ancient money”. Standing in front of the Tien cave, Mr. Tu said that the ancient coins believed to belong to King Gia Long are very rare and are no longer wandering among the people. Feeling delicious, I made a trip to the places where ancient money was kept, intending to collect a bunch of goods or at least buy them from people around the area. No one knows if Em’s actual trip to search for antiquities will be successful or not, but, returning, Em has continuously produced glittering and sparkling Gia Long watches that are offered for sale at sky-high prices. stop. Not only selling antique watches, Em also sells raw coins to make necklaces or to make rings and bracelets. I no longer sit on the sidewalk but bring an antique shop to my house in Cu Chi. Antiques are not for the crowd. For those who don’t like it, it’s just trash or an ordinary decoration. However, this is the immense love of antique “sheep”. They are willing to spend a lot of money to get their favorite item. Therefore, my customers are not many but quality. Every month I sell a watch and earn tens of millions of dong, while the original price is only equal to a bunch of fish and vegetables, sometimes given away for free. Marine antiquities, including ancient coins on shipwrecks, have been found a lot in the waters of Vietnam and around the world. Ancient coin players believe that ancient coins are always a tool used a lot in feng shui. The coins are a symbol of wealth and wealth. Its sand not only increases fortune, but you bring a lot of luck in terms of fame, career and disaster relief, small people… Ancient money taken from the bottom of the ocean also carries spiritual miracles. deluding. In it, there is a protective deity. In that sense, even selling “exorbitantly” no one complains. If they’re unlucky and buy a fake, they won’t have the strength to fight with guys like Em. It is not acceptable to be confused between real antiques and fake money to profit on the beliefs of others. Real coin players do not accept such deceitful wholesale. And antiquities enthusiasts find themselves traumatized by being deceived. Ancient coins in the reign of King Gia Long became a bustling commodity in the world of antiques. My ancient Gia Long King coins are advertised “sometimes” in a cave in the middle of the sea in Kien Giang. It is a rocky mountain, inside there is a very large cave, the locals call it Tien cave. Here, hundreds of years ago, people in the area picked up a lot of coins, which are said to be left by King Gia Long – Nguyen Anh while he fled to the South. Mr. Tu, a longtime resident who is knowledgeable about this vestige, said: “Many old people in the area have found ancient coins in the cave. Copper coins, due to being soaked in salty sea water, were rusted, chipped, and rotted, so they were no longer wandering among the people. Now it’s hard to earn even a penny, where can you get a lot to trade?” Mr. Tu led us to Tien cave to see the market. Through the seasons of high tide, the stone slabs have been smoothed away, revealing many traces of history. In the cave, there are still a few digging tracks left by people hunting for artifacts. It is not known when the hunters came here to excavate and no one knows what they found in those holes. But, Mr. Tu asserted, for more than 20 years he had lived in this area, he had no longer seen Gia Long ancient coins. Gia Long ancient coins are sold by traders at the price of… kings. On a famous e-commerce site, many ancient Vietnamese coins are for sale, including coins from the Nguyen dynasty for a few tens of millions to several hundred million dong. An ancient coin from the reign of King Minh Mang (1791-1841) is for sale for $2,550. A gold coin from the Thieu Tri Dynasty (1807-1847) cost $2,050. Gold coin from the reign of King Tu Duc is priced at more than 8,700 USD… “Magic” the artifact Antiquities of the ocean, always considered a treasure that is hard to find. Negotiations for antique deals took place with “huge” money. Mr. Mai Trong T. (living in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City) 20 years ago was an antique dealer with a hierarchy in the world. Mr. T. was originally a wood merchant. The trips and extensive relationships gave Mr. T. a lot of knowledge about antiques. Once going to Con Dao (Ba Ria – Vung Tau), Mr. T. bought an ancient sword with the body of the sword engraved with the words “Thuan Thien”, which translates as “according to the will of heaven or acting on behalf of heaven”. The origin of the sword is still obscure, but its fame has spread throughout the South. People play antiques in Ben Tre, Can Tho, Tien Giang, City. Ho Chi Minh sought Mr. T. to admire the king’s treasure. Negotiations, bargaining late at night, morning and evening took place in Mr. T.’s old house in Cu Chi. Mr. T himself is also fond of antiques, being the things of kings is nothing more precious. The Thai An Sword of King Gia Long is currently on display in a museum in France. According to the spiritual concept of the antique world, the sword symbolizes the strength and authority of a man. There are more golden words engraved on the back of the sword, proving that its owner in the future will be a king with his head on the sky and his feet on the ground. While comparing and calculating, there was a giant in Ho Chi Minh City. When Ho Chi Minh entered the house, he stamped his feet and shouted 5 billion VND. At the time nearly 20 years ago, that was a huge number, able to buy a few houses on the street. Mr. T. sold immediately. Since then, Mr. T. has completely abandoned the timber trade and switched to hunting antiques from the sea. He said that antiques lying under the sea are treasures of the ocean containing countless mysteries. Each item is a part of the soul of the sea, because of some fate that rises to the surface. Mr. T. affirmed: “Every antique of the sea is an epiphany”. Trading in marine antiquities gave Mr. T. a lot of money. At one time, his house contained tens of kilograms of gold and sacks of money. He was engrossed in hunting trips to reserve and wait for his time. With a lot of money, he invested in antiques. Whenever anyone has something, he buys it, he collects it all. In 2013, Mr. T. heard that fishermen excavated and recovered a shipwreck in the waters off Con Dao district. The collection includes 300 antiques with categories: bowls, vases, jars, cups, weights, illuminators, mirrors, decorative stones… made of ceramic, porcelain and metal materials. Especially discovered a number of Chinese coins minted in 1017-1021… Determined, this ship was wrecked around the end of the 14th century… However, Mr. T. was unable to access these artifacts because they were brought to the museum for display. He was led to a fishing village by an antique “stork”, to an old ship containing a bunch of fake “antiquities” that were “clothed” like the real thing. Mr. T. was immersed in it, was charmed by the lure, and then went down to collect the whole “scrap” ship home. He divided the categories, and then began to sell. Some people in the world came to see, there were people who were new to the profession but believed in the level of playing sea antiquities of Mr. T. should rush to buy. Some people, just looking at it, know it’s fake, they told Mr. T. they were scolded by him for a match and chased away. Sculptures on seashells, fossils of hundreds of years under the ocean were purchased by the owner for an “undisclosed” price. Although he firmly defended his antiquities policy, many brothers in the profession recommended him, so Mr. T. quietly hired an appraisal company. The result is fakes, imitations, antique coins, swords and swords that are mediocre things that have been coated with paint and a little chemical preservative. Because he regretted the large amount of money spent, Mr. T. turned himself into a professional liar. He used his reputation and fame to play marine antiquities for many years to start a witch trade. Not only did he cheat in the country, but he also deceived the foreign players. Typically, the sale of antique wine jars, woven by Mr. T. through the story of a Greek ship carrying about 3,000 to 4,000 double-handled ceramic vases, is considered an ancient storage object used to transport wine. sunk around the 5th century BC. Mr. T. told the customer, he had been to Greece to hunt and buy this thing. In fact, he has never stepped foot out of Vietnam in his entire life. The guest widened his eyes in surprise, but he was very careful to bring along a student working in architecture, with a little knowledge of antiquities. Having just finished viewing Mr. T’s marine treasures, the student shook his head and turned to whisper in the teacher’s ear. The Western guest’s face turned from red to pale, then he showed an angry expression. From a master of antiques, briefly “on the elephant”, now Mr. T. has become an ugly, two-faced man, losing all credibility. The guests who had mistakenly bought his unique and strange goods, had to be silent, then cut off the intimacy. For nearly a year now, Mr. T. has not been able to sell any goods, even if they are real. “Antiques carry the soul and contain many mysteries, it can make people have everything, but it will also lose their status if they are forever ecstatic with the fame and profits from it”, Asian record holder, collector Dinh Cong Tuong’s antique collection has drawn the truth after nearly half a century of studying ancient culture.

According to the excavation of the Archaeological Institute in collaboration with Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center – Hanoi, in the main area of Kinh Thien Palace, the excavation in early 2021 discovered a ‘strange’ architectural vestige. circle in Tran dynasty. The new discovery created a hope to speed up the restoration of Kinh Thien Palace – which is considered the “soul” of Hoang Thanh Thang Long.
 “Strange” circular architecture

According to the excavation team of the Archeology Institute, this architectural vestige is completely located in the cultural class of Tran dynasty, below the culture class of the Le so, Le Trung Hung and Nguyen dynasties at a depth of 1.95m, from the ground ground. current area. This cultural layer is dense with Tran tiles, including red cover tiles, lotus-nosed tiles, and pointed tiles. Round architectural traces Architectural vestiges of the Tran dynasty are circular in shape under the Tran dynasty clay and brick layers, about 0.4m – 0.6m thick and built entirely of cover bricks. Round architectural brick cover bricks are all rectangular, bright red bricks arranged in two staggered rows and only one layer, the outer row is lower than the inner row. Outside the circle in the East – West – South directions are a number of pebbles with many different sizes arranged relatively flat but not in a certain shape. Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Hanoi People’s Committee at Notice No. 152-TB / TU dated March 6, 2021 at the meeting with the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center – Hanoi; Decision No. 3624 / QD-BVHTTDL dated December 4, 2020 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on archaeological excavations at Thang Long Citadel Center – Hanoi, Heritage Conservation Center Thang Long – Hanoi has coordinated with the Archeology Institute to conduct excavation and exploration in the East – North area of Kinh Thien electrical base relic with a total area of nearly 1,000m2. The exploration excavation in 2021 is considered to have the largest scale in more than 10 years, the Archeology Institute conducted the excavation at Thang Long Citadel – Hanoi. Exploring the circular architecture found that the clay foundation mixed with the Tran debris was compacted firmly. There are a few bricks on the face that are arranged in an East-West direction, but they are no longer neat. In this group of bricks, the first brick from the West, at the edge has two Chinese characters “Thuong Tan Quoc”. In the past, I met at 18 Hoang Dieu a brick in the Tran dynasty with the word “Thuong Tan Quoc”. At the same time, there was another brick with the word “Thuong Tan Vien”. At a depth of 0.7m compared to the circular architecture, there is a small rock base in the Tran dynasty that no longer has its original position. Outside, to the south, 78cm from the circular architecture, there is a large terracotta pot (mouth diameter 1.2m, depth 55cm) bright red, good materials, the outer rim of the mouth is decorated with lotus flowers, apricot flowers and “Lien Chau” is characteristic of the Tran dynasty. The pot has a drainage hole set on one side of the perineum. This is probably the largest terracotta pot ever in the Tran dynasty. Outside the round vestige to the East there are traces of two underground sewers in the Tran dynasty: one was built of brick cover, the other was built by specialized circular water pipes. The brick sewer is 3.64m far from the circular architectural vestige to the East and 0.35m lower, and 4.64m long running in the North – South direction. The sewer section in the North was cut by architectural foundations of the Nguyen Dynasty. The culvert consists of three parts of the cap, wall and bottom. The manhole cover and bottom are placed horizontally, the sides of the manhole are placed vertically on the two edges of the bottom and the manhole cover forms the sewer with a cross-section of nearly square as the space for drainage. The type of brick used to build the culvert is a rectangular red cover brick with a cut surface of the brick (characteristic of architectural materials of the fourteenth century). Currently the sewer has been destroyed, so the actual length in the past has not been determined. The manhole cover is covered with a single row of remaining 6 bricks, the North is left with 5 bricks, the first 2.28m long, bolted by broken rectangular bricks (21cm wide, 6cm thick) printed with Han characters, Vinh Ninh Truong. The male is left with one 40cm long pill. The round water sewer is 3.5m from the brick sewer to the East. The two ends of the sewer that were cut by the late architecture remain only a section of 2.97m in length, running in the East-West direction. There are still 8 round terracotta water pipes, the head is wider than the tail, the end of the tube has a ledge to assemble so that it fits from the end of one tube to the other. Terracotta sewer pipes are 37-39cm long, 13-15cm in diameter. This sewer appears in the same strata as the brick sewer and is 0.35m lower than the circular architecture. Chronology and values According to the results of stratification of Thang Long culture, the relic has a circular structure in the Tran cultural class. Two large underground culverts and terracotta pots distributed around circular architecture all date to the Tran dynasty. Relevant relics in the area revealed such as bricks, tiles, and chinaware all dating back to the Tran dynasty. Therefore, it is possible to initially identify vestiges of circular architecture dating back to the Tran dynasty in the XIII-XIV century. For those who directly excavated, the round structure of Tran dynasty that appeared this year in the Northeast of Kinh Thien Palace could be classified into a type of “strange” architecture. The status quo, this circle is intact, the structure is quite simple. Other traces appeared around such as large terracotta pots, brick sewers, circular underground sewers with the same age, but it is not possible to confirm whether they are related to each other or not. The current state of the monument has not seen any signs that can remind the excavators of the architecture’s function. The area is under further excavation Some people suggest that this could be a small flower garden scene in the Tran Palace. Is there also the thought of a structure related to some kind of spiritual ritual? However, all that are just initial speculations without any evidence to explain. Previously, the round architecture of Tran dynasty was met by archaeologists in a few places. In 1998, excavation in the North of Doan Monmon discovered a circle of late Tran dynasty cut into the vestiges of the wall / or the road with frill lines “lemon flowers” dating back to the earlier Tran dynasty in the southwest position. This circle is noteworthy because there are vertical bricks inside in the style of “diagonal triangles” filling the round architectural surface. At Bao An pagoda (Gia Lam), archaeologists also encountered a type of circle with the form close to the circle in Doan Mon. Thus, at least in archeology, at present, there have been 3 circular structures in Tran dynasty in three different places, in which the structure in Doan Mon is somewhat closer than the round structure in Bao An pagoda. The circular structure in the Northeast of Kinh Thien is not clear whether it is the same as the two above structures because the surface layer has been destroyed, only the circle is dashed. However, they have the same circle and have two nearly the same vertical brick lines, so it can be deduced that they have nearly the same structure. But all three of these architectural vestiges are functionally unknown. The three circular structures in 3 different places also show that there seems to be a style of building brick circles in the architecture in the Tran dynasty, as well as in the Le Lieu period. . “What is that structure to do and what it reflects in Tran architecture in Thang Long or in a temple (Bao An pagoda) is still a mystery that needs to be studied for a long time. Therefore, archaeologists temporarily consider traces of circular architecture in the Northeast of Kinh Thien Palace in 2021 as a remarkable “strange” architecture type of Tran Dynasty in Thang Long Palace area. It also shows that Thang Long Palace still has many unexpected undiscovered values under the ground of a World Heritage, ”said the excavation team of the Archaeological Institute. Hope to soon restore Kinh Thien Palace If in 2019, with an excavated area of 900 square meters, the Vietnam Archeology Institute discovered many traces of gardens, lakes, and artifacts with architecture of the Le primitive and Le Trung Hung dynasties, making the hypothesis of Thuong ien garden, Can Chanh power was first discovered at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long – Hanoi, in 2021, the results of exploration and excavation revealed more unique evidences, artifacts and relics. With the narrowed position of archaeological results in 2021 is considered to have touched the space of Can Chanh Palace, an overall part of the overall space of the Kinh Thien Palace in the Le early period. Previously, Hanoi also made specific moves with the project of restoring Kinh Thien power, which is the introduction of a roadmap: Phase 1 (2020 – 2025) completing pre-feasibility study report, reporting feasibility study report and basic design; Phase 2 (2025 – 2030) to implement the project of restoring Kinh Thien power. According to scientists, experts, architectural traces and relic systems discovered in the excavation in 2021 continue to reflect the complex evolution of historical and cultural relics Thang Long – Hanoi. underground. Thereby, it has contributed more documents to clarify the great, rich and diversified values with three globally outstanding criteria of the World Heritage Site Center of Thang Long Citadel. At the same time, contribute some valuable materials to serve the research on recovering the space of Kinh Thien main hall. The new discoveries create favorable conditions for scientists, speed up the recovery process, and satisfy the aspirations of the masses of people and researchers. Posts and photos: Bao Thoa

Killing cats in ancient Egypt would result in death penalty! The status of cats in ancient Egypt was unusually high and this surprised many people.
The ancient Egyptians were known to like cats. In the era when pharaohs ruled the Nile, this ancient civilization has no shortage of cat-inspired handicrafts. From larger-than-life statues to intricate jewels, these vivid works of art have been preserved for thousands of years and they still retain great quality to this day.

The ancient Egyptians turned countless cats into mummies, and even built the world’s first “pet cemetery”. These cemeteries have a history of nearly 2000 years, with most of the cats buried there wearing iron and bead necklaces. So why did cats have such a high status in ancient Egypt? The ancient Greek historian Herodotus has even recorded that the ancient Egyptians shaved their eyebrows to show respect when their cats died. In 2018, the Smithsonian Asian Art Museum in Washington, DC, USA hosted an exhibition on the importance of cats in ancient Egypt. Many exhibitions have revealed to everyone the origin of this veneration – ancient Egyptians believed that gods and rulers should have cat-like qualities. Specifically, the ancient Egyptians believed that cats had some ideal personalities: on the one hand, they would love, nurture their children and be very loyal; on the other hand, they can also be very aggressive, independent, and assertive. To the ancient Egyptians, these traits made cats seem like a special animal and deserved attention, which may explain why they built so many statues involving cats. Sphinx (sphinx) is a statue next to Kafra Pyramid, 73 meters long and looks like the head of a man and the body of a lion. This is possibly the most famous statue in ancient Egypt, although historians do not know why the ancient Egyptians made this giant statue. Similarly, Sakhmet, the goddess of war and powerful medicine in Egyptian mythology, is also depicted as a female lion or a lion-headed girl in a blood-red dress. She is also considered a protector, especially at dawn and dusk. Another goddess, Bastet, is often depicted as a lion or a cat. The ancient Egyptians believed that the cat was their divine relic. She used to be the goddess of war in Lower Egypt, due to her resemblance to the lion goddess Sekhmet in Upper Egypt, she gradually changed from the god of war to the guardian of the family, symbolizing warmth and family fun. The ancient Egyptians were particularly fond of cats, possibly because they were extremely capable of hunting, especially rats and snakes. Researchers at University College London say that ancient Egyptians even named their children after cats or gave them names meaning cats – for example naming girls “Mitt. “(means cat). It is not clear when cats began to be domesticated in Egypt, but archaeologists have uncovered some ancient graves of cats and kittens dating back to 3800 BC. However, many studies have shown that this obsession is not limited to love. There is archaeological evidence that the ancient Egyptians’ passion for cats had a more cruel side. Between 700 BC and 300 AD, ancient Egypt probably formed a cat industry, first breeding large numbers of kittens, then killing them and making mummies for burial. with human mummies. In a study published in Scientific Reports in 2020, scientists performed micro-CT x-rays of animal mummies in ancient Egypt, including cat mummies. Through the scan, the researchers were able to understand the cat’s bone structure in detail and the materials used in its mummification process. When the researchers received the scans, the cat used for the mummification was in much smaller condition than expected. “It was a very young cat, but we didn’t realize that prior to scanning because most of the mummies (about 50%) were made of cloth,” study author at Swansea University, Wang UK, said Professor Richard Johnston. “When we saw it on the screen, we realized it was still very small when it died” – at less than 5 months old, the cat’s neck It was artificially broken. Mary-Ann Pools Wegner, associate professor of Egyptian archeology at the University of Toronto in Canada, said that many animal mummies were actually used as sacrifices to ancient Egyptian gods. This is a way to quench your anger or ask the gods for help in addition to a verbal prayer. But until now, we still don’t know why the ancient Egyptians wanted to buy cats for mummies during funerals.

The porcelain bowl purchased from a second hand market is identified as an antique produced in the Ming Dynasty and can help its owner make more than 14,000 times more profit.
Porcelain bowls were bought by the owner from a second hand market in New Haven, Connecticut in the US in 2020 for only 35 USD, CNN February 25 quoted auction organization Sotheby’s as saying.

Right after buying the bowl from the market, the owner took pictures and sent it to experts for appraisal. The bowl was later identified by the Ming dynasty produced during the reign of King Minh Thanh To (1403-1424). The bowl is white with delicate motifs of lotus flowers, peony flowers, chrysanthemums and pomegranates. The diameter of the bowl is about 15 cm. The lotus bowl originated from the reign of King Minh Thanh To. Photo: Sotheby’s. The ancient bowl is named “lotus bowl” based on the lotus pattern on the outer body. The bowl is priced at 300,000-500,000 USD, 14,300 times more than the original purchase price by the owner. Auction organization Sotheby’s does not disclose the identity of the owner who bought the bowl from the second hand market. “The bowl has an extremely smooth porcelain body and a smooth enamel finish that doesn’t wear,” said Angela McAteer, head of Sotheby’s China Antiques division. The technology for making this bowl is not replicated in the later Ming dynasties, nor in successive dynasties, Ms. McAteer said. According to representatives of Sotheby’s, there are only 6 bowls in the world similar to antiques found in Connecticut, including those on display at the National Palace Museum in Taipei, the British Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Antiques are scheduled to be auctioned on March 17 during Sotheby’s “Asian Week” event. In addition to the “lotus bowl”, other Chinese antiques at auction include a fine Tang Dynasty silver bowl and an 18th century jade vase. These two items are priced at 1, 5 million USD.

It was only late March that the Lao wind blew. I just went against those hot winds to go to the house of Ho Thoong, son of the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces (SPV), captain of the armed police of Ho Phom in Ha Vi village, Dan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district. , Quang Binh.
In the middle of the morning, he fell into a drunken stupor, squatting with his silver head on the threshold. The eyes were fluttering wildly. Seemingly familiar with uninvited guests who came to see us, he waved his hand and said, “Come on!” seems very contemptuous. I told him I wanted to find an ancient book. Just listening, Ho Thoong jumped up like a compressed spring, gave an honest smile.

I laugh, looking back at my sweating, red-dusted body. Perhaps Ho Thoong is right. Not because of money, there is no excuse for groping to this place in the midst of a hot and windy day. Instead of a greeting, he handed me a sarcastic cup of wine, perhaps poured from last night, then quietly turned to the corner of the house, his head so low that his white hair fell down on the wooden floor, his hands respectfully. clasped his chest and began to murmur in vows … Occasionally, Ho Thoong let out a very long voice through his teeth … Not sure what Ho Thoong was praying for, but he dragged us into the sacred space isolated in the house on stilts by the mountainside. Suddenly, a cold wind blew into the small door frame. Ho Thoong shivered. We all shivered. Apparently, Ho Thoong’s ritual to ask the gods to open treasures was fulfilled. Respectfully he took down a glossy brown bamboo tube from the roof, lifted it above his head, and said loudly: Mr. Ho Thoong and leaf book. – Excessive energy! Book of leaves! The book, which each page is a long leaf, was linked together by punching two round holes at the ends and threaded together with small, durable wood ropes. On each page of the book are strange, zigzag words. Due to a very long time ago, the leaf color is yellowish but absolutely no signs of termite, rot. The inscriptions on it are still in color and sharp. Those are the unique antiques I’m looking for. * Khua is a ethnic group belonging to the Bru Van Kieu group. In Quang Binh, Khua people are concentrated mainly in the highland communes Trong Hoa, Dan Hoa, Minh Hoa district. Indeed, at the top of the mountain touching clouds, the Khua people ‘s lifestyle and lifestyle have been defined by default. It is a mysterious life that is free, wild but delicately faithful. The Turtle relied on the power of the mountains to survive. Incidentally, their homes never went beyond the shade of the mountain. Like never, the Khua people have never made a living beyond the mountain. The mountains give them their soul, take care of them the house rules, take care of them the source of life. The leaf book of the Khua people is a delicate combination of Heaven and Earth. The leaves are above the forest. The squid is obtained from the bile of the fish in the stream. And the wisdom of the Khua people. All blended together to form a tangible cultural product – intangible for centuries. Leaves are intact, soft and smooth. The ink is still fresh in color, black and sharp. Here all concepts of “modern” and “industry”, “space” and “time” are subdued. The source of books gives me doubts, what leaves can turn into pages ?! What fish can secrete bitter honey to make text color ?! What kind of durable forest rope is used to connect the small leaves ?! Who has the great brain that invented this totally organic book ?! Folklore researcher Dinh Thanh Du told me: The leaf book was born more than 200 years ago, written in ancient Lao by the Khua people originally from Laos. After settling in Vietnam for a while, the Khua used to use Vietnamese and gradually forgot the Lao language. The number of people who can read ancient Lao is less and less. The leaf book becomes unknown. However, with the traditional method of oral tradition, the legends recorded in the Book of Leaves are still preserved in the Khua Minh Hoa community. Mainly concentrating on three main groups of topics, including: Books and poems with stories of love between couples, love of life; genealogy book copy history, customs and practices and commandments of filial piety – ceremony – meaning …; Martial arts books copy the skills of training and protecting health from nature, how to deal with wild animals … Book of leaves of Khua people. The birthplace and the interesting stories of “High Performance” fascinated me. Overcoming the initial shyness, I squat down to sit by Ho Thoong so I can see more clearly the antiques. Border guard Truong Vy Le gently held me back with a very small reminder, “Can’t I sit there?”. Ho Thoong nodded unanimously. It turned out that I forgot my female identity. In the Khua house, women are not allowed to hang around in the main hall. Because that is where the spirit dwells. Ho Thoong still sits cross-legged on an old and dirty mat. His dry fingers stroked very gently over the zigzag lines that curled across the long, narrow blade. It is said that once upon a time, Lao monks came to build a temple to open a monkhood in Minh Hoa with these special books. I suddenly caught a glimpse of the curving words, elongated fingers, slender bare calves, arched waistlines, curled buttocks, full breasts of young Lao girls, then fell in love with the Lama dance. Vong. Ho Thoong’s face, Ho Thoong’s eyes shone ghostly and he said like entering the book. Specific but full of education. Simple and unconditional. The Khua people are proud to have “Super high performance”. Hundreds of years or even longer, whether read or not, the oral stories from “High performance” has become the light that illuminates every bare footstep groping on each mountain of a person. Enchantment. The children of Ho Thoong family have just been exposed to sunlight from the stream. All naked and glossy black. Seeing that there were strangers at home, they all closed the door, shady discussing what was going on in Bru language. After a while, there is silence. Perhaps they were drawn to Ho Thoong’s story. Curled eyelashes, dark, round eyebrows widened. Small mouths opened up despite the drooling. Green nose brushed horizontally, brushed vertically. But it does not matter because they are growing up in the shadow of the mountain, like the Khua people hiding in the armpit of the mountain for a long time to survive. Ho Thoong’s story is not beginning, not ending. There is a story in the “Pho Ngu Pho”. And there are stories outside folklore. From the legendary god Ku Loong walking the clouds about the wind, the sky, kicking the ground to protect the Khua people’s lives to the story of his father, Hero of the People’s Army of Vietnam Ho Phom – a brave spy on two roofs of Truong Son and Khua participated. fight the enemy to save the country during the anti-American era. Ho Thoong said that this special book belongs to his grandfather, he will give it to his father, and he will give it to his son tomorrow. It all seemed like one word: “Try to keep it. That is the spiritual treasure of the Khua people ”. “Brutalized!”. In the world of the Khua people is a sacred treasure. Therefore, even though it is over the age of a hundred years, “Pho Phoc skillful” still does not have old moss. “Pho strong and talented” still lives shimmering in the minds of Khua people, purifying the Khua people’s way with an invisible but powerful culture, divine culture. Suddenly, “Pho Nguoi is very talented” expresses the cultural identity of Khua, the philosophy of Khua’s human life. Ho Thoong is still handing the pages of the book, staring far to the top of the mountain … Perhaps that is when Ho Thoong added the spirit of Khua from the word “Phoc skillful”. The book is slender and pure like body, like the soul of a new maiden Khua in the morning.

A porcelain bowl bought from a second hand market for $ 35 is identified as a precious antiquity and priced at $ 500,000. However, the actual selling price is even more startling, up to more than 700,000 USD.
The porcelain bowl was bought by the owner from a second hand market in New Haven, Connecticut in the US in 2020 for only 35 USD, has just been sold for 721,800 USD at the auction house Sotheby’s. CNN reported on March 18.

The bowl, identified as a rare Ming-era antiquity, even achieved a much higher selling price than Sotheby’s initial valuation of $ 300,000-500,000. It sold for $ 721,800, nearly 29,000 times the original purchase price from the second hand market. The lotus bowl originating from the reign of Emperor Minh Thanh To has just been sold for $ 721,800. Photo: Sotheby’s. The bowl is white with delicate motifs of lotus flowers, peony flowers, chrysanthemums and pomegranates. The diameter of the bowl is about 15 cm. While auction organizer Sotheby’s did not disclose the identity of the owner who bought the precious bowl, Sotheby’s head of the Chinese arts department, Angela McAteer, told CNN By phone prior to the March 17 auction, the person who found the bowl at a second hand market did not haggle when buying it for an asking price of 35 USD. Immediately after buying, he sent a photo of the bowl to auction specialists, and it was immediately identified as an object of historical significance. “Instinctively we have a very, very good feeling about the bowl,” said Ms. McAteer. After more thorough examination, experts identified this antiquity – also known as the “lotus bowl” – produced by the Ming court during the reign of Emperor Minh Thanh To (1403-1424) – during period is famous for its special sophisticated porcelain technique. “The bowl has an extremely smooth porcelain body and the glossy enamel is not abrasive,” Ms. McAteer said. The industry of making this bowl is no longer found in later dynasties.

The bedroom is not just a space for our rest and relaxation after a hard day. The bedroom also helps us regain energy and ensure our own health.

Some people only go to the bedroom when it’s time to rest, but many people do most of the activities in this room every day, such as eating, entertainment or exercising. Because of that, they also tend to store many objects in the bedroom. However, there are certain items that you should limit to decorating or placing in this room because of the unexpected harms.

A feng-shui bedroom interior layout will help homeowners feel comfortable and relax after a stressful working day. Besides, it also helps you to work more effectively and have a lot of luck in your life and career.

Here are the items you should avoid to ensure sleep for your family.

Electrical appliances

Electrical appliances are one of the things you should not put in your bedroom. Any electrical appliances, no matter how small, such as chargers, insecticides, … They also have great heat radiation, which has long-term effects on health.

If absolutely not necessary, it is best to keep electrical appliances on the wall away from the bed. The power outlet must be at least 2 meters away from the headboard. Otherwise, when the electric current is flowing, the emitted radiation will be very large, causing bad effects on health.

Do not leave knives and swords in the bedroom

Knives and swords are absolute items that you should not put in the bedroom. Because according to the concept of feng shui, sword knives. And sharp objects are the big cavalries in the bedroom because their killing intent is very heavy. Easy to create work pressure, headache, insecurity, even injury … because of accidental touch.

Do not leave a photo of a deceased person

Remove a picture of a person who is absolutely dead, and you must not take it to a bedroom. Because it is easy to cause daydreaming, drowsiness, sleep paralysis, poor sleep and health problems. It is best to leave it in the living room area, altar or quiet place and worship, worship.

Do not leave objects such as mirrors in the bedroom

Often with women, looking at the makeup mirror in the bedroom is always a favorite thing for women. But in terms of feng shui, if you do not know how to arrange and arrange the mirrors properly, it is not really good. Setting a mirror in the bedroom also easily affects the feelings and psychology of the couple, creating opportunities for the third person …

Especially, if you leave a mirror in the bedroom, you should avoid facing the bed. This is a common mistake and most families do not notice. But it is this setting that makes you not sleep well, easily fall into a state of lethargy, flutter.

Do not leave a statue of a Buddha, a god

Judging from the perspective of belief and respect for the cult, placing Buddha and god statues in the bedroom is a great deal. As for the concept of feng shui, to let the Buddha image mean you are hiding your wealth, making your career undeveloped.

Do not leave relics and antiques

Many people have the habit of collecting relics and antiques and prefer to store them in quiet places like bedrooms. But this habit according to feng shui is what makes homeowners often have no deep sleep. Or daydreaming with bizarre dreams because antiques and relics often come from ancient times and have many secrets.
