Deutsche Bahn reactivates 20 disused routes and expands again into the area. The goal: Local transport should also become more attractive for people in rural areas.

Of Ulrich Crüwell, rbb

Despite all – partly justified – criticism of Deutsche Bahn AG: No other means of transport is under the same economic pressure as rail transport. “The rail is the only transport infrastructure that is shrinking. It is the only transport infrastructure that has to pay off. If we apply these standards to motorways, some roads in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania would have to be demolished immediately,” says Dirk Flege, the managing director of Allianz per rail.

According to a study by climate researchers, there will be more heavy rain and hot days in Germany.

The rail network is growing for the first time in ninety years

But the shrinking of the rail network has finally come to an end, says Flege and speaks of a turning point. The railway is no longer dismantling, but the network is growing – as the federal government has longed for.

In their coalition agreement, the Union and the SPD agreed to double the number of passengers by 2030. But despite political will, the rail network became smaller and smaller and the road network increasingly dense by 2020. Many smaller cities lost their rail connections. But now Deutsche Bahn is putting 20 disused routes with a total length of 245 kilometers back into operation. “This is clearly just the beginning,” announced Jens Bergmann, head of planning at the DB Netz division. For people who live in the countryside, this could be good news.

Historical undesirable developments

For Martin Henke from the Association of German Transport Companies, it is even a historic one, because it ends an undesirable development that began ninety years ago with the construction of the first motorway. In the fifties and seventies there were real shutdown programs for railway lines, according to Henke. The Germans clearly preferred the car and built one of the densest motorway networks in the world.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was a matter of optimizing, and politicians wanted the railway to be privatized as a stock exchange company. Rural local transport turned into a losing business. Deutsche Bahn speaks of a downward spiral: “If demand fell, little was done to make the route more attractive for passengers or freight traffic again.” According to Allianz pro Schiene, more than 15 percent of the rails were decoupled between 1990 and 2020 alone. But the mood in the country seems to have changed. The rail is experiencing broad political and social support, says association representative Henke. And this mood could also change the group.

  FAQ 08/23/2018

Deutsche Bahn Can the cycle timetable solve the problems?

Deutsche Bahn is to become more punctual by introducing a regular timetable.

“Every kilometer of track is active climate protection”

Among other things, the railway is putting closed connections in sparsely populated regions in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein back into operation. Whether big money can be made with it seems at least questionable. But apparently that is no longer that important – what counts is political and social will.

Bergmann, board member of Deutsche Bahn, formulates the corporate objective as follows: “We want to attract more people to the railways, get more goods on the rails. Every kilometer of track is active climate protection.”

Most people only know that Jingdezhen is the hometown of Chinese porcelain, but they don’t know that Jingdezhen has the reputation of “the source of porcelain, the land of tea, and the sea of forest”. The poet Chen Zhisui’s poem “Jingdezhen” vividly portrays the history of ceramic art in Jingdezhen: “Mo Xiao digs mountains with thick hands, crafted earthenware to move the capital. People have visited overseas, and the rugged mountains are a smooth journey.” The term “earthware” in the poems is the foundation of Jingdezhen’s prosperous porcelain, and the “king capital” established Jingdezhen’s status as imperial porcelain. “Kaolin” is the “kaolin” rich in Jingdezhen. Kaolin, which has good plasticity and fire resistance, is the most important raw material for the ancient Jingdezhen porcelain industry. Therefore, kaolin is also the key word for Jingdezhen porcelain to be famous overseas. Gaoling Scenic Area is located 40 kilometers northeast of Jingdezhen, in Ehu Town, Fuliang County, at the junction of Jiangxi and Anhui provinces in the northeast of Jiangxi Province. Jingdezhen has been famous for “one porcelain and two teas” since ancient times. The tea produced in Fuliang County was famous in the Tang Dynasty, and the culture of Fuliang tea has continued to this day. Gaoling China Village covers an area of 26 square kilometers, and the total investment is estimated to be 5 billion yuan. Committed to the positioning of “the best in Jiangxi, first-class in China, and world-renowned”, Jingdezhen will make every effort to build a demonstration area for rural revitalization out of the world. The current Gaoling China Village has been successfully established as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. Gaoling China Village is divided into six themed gardens: Fuliang Tea Sea, Gaoling Flower Sea, Camphor Forest Sea, Village Chief College, Wisdom Farm, and Jietian Village. In the park, a 13.6 km long tourist road is the key construction in the park, which runs through the entire scenic spot along the mountain. The two east-west waterfront scenery belts with functions of flood control, irrigation and sightseeing, plus a comprehensive tourist service area constitute the spatial layout of “one ring, two belts, six parks and one area”. As one of the “six gardens”, the Fuliang Tea Sea, thousands of acres of tea fields follow the mountain and extend to the distance in a stepped manner. The history of tea production in Fuliang can be traced back to the Han Dynasty, and the Kung Fu tea produced by the “Tianxiang Tea” in Fuliang County has also won the gold medal of the “Panama World Expo” and has been included in the world’s three high-flavor teas. Fuliang Tea Sea not only has a large area of pleasant and fragrant tea sea plantations, but also Datang Tea Market, Tang Tea Workshop, Tea Yin Xianju Ancient Buildings, Tea Yin Xianju B&B Cluster, and Lingshang One Observation Deck, etc. The layout of the scenic spots, with the tea culture as the core, not only allows you to watch, but you can also experience and participate in the history of Fuliang tea culture. The ingenious porcelain tea exhibition area also fully displays Jingdezhen porcelain in Fuliang Haocha. If you like porcelain or tasting tea, you can also buy favorites. Fuliang Tea Sea is the core scenic spot of Gaoling China Village, but under the coastal scenery, the “Kaolin Flower Sea” rural ecological sightseeing area has made Gaoling China Village an Internet celebrity scenic spot. The colorful sea of flowers surrounded by mountains has also become a major feature of Jingdezhen’s natural beauty. The purple verbena is romantic and dreamy under the blue sky, and it is an excellent place for photography. At present, dozens of types of flowers and fruits have been planted here, such as lilies, cosmos, lavender, sunflowers, camellia, etc., to ensure “grass in spring, flowers in summer, fruits in autumn, and green in winter”. The Langshan viewing platform to be completed in the “Kaolin Flower Sea” is the commanding height of Gaoling China Village. The undulating flower sea, the tens of thousands of acres of flowers dotted the mountains, the small bridges and the flowing water, the ancient trees, and the green bricks. The tile is hidden in the sea of tea and flowers, giving a glimpse of all the sights. This dying village in the past is now a unique idyllic village. Porcelain is the original fruit of Jingdezhen, and Jingdezhen’s ceramics and Fuliang tea combine the indissoluble bond of “good porcelain tea”. The porcelain culture that has been in development for thousands of years and Fuliang tea complement each other and gradually become Jingdezhen in the new world.

Relying on red resources, Shanwei City in Guangdong Province has built 10 demonstration belts for rural revitalization through the development of red cultural tourism and promotion of characteristic industries, so as to continuously improve the sense of gain and happiness of the people in the old districts.

There are many red revolutionary sites in Xiapu Village, Jinxiang Town, Lufeng, Shanwei. Under the leadership of the working team in the village, it has been built into a red tourism village integrating revolutionary history education, sightseeing, tourism and leisure, and the life of the villagers has become more and more prosperous. Villager Zheng Zaiyang had always been working outside, but as the number of tourists in the village increased, he also returned to his hometown to set up a farmhouse.

Zheng Zaiyang, a villager in Xiapu Village, Jinxiang Town, Lufeng, Shanwei, Guangdong: The monthly turnover is five to six hundred thousand. The audience was full, and even the parking spaces sometimes had no place to park. During the “May 1st” holiday, there are more than 200 sets a day, and the chef is not able to cook well.

Since the beginning of this year, Xiapu Village has received 150,000 tourists from all over the world.

In accordance with the principles of “One Belt, One Theme” and “One Village, One Characteristic”, Shanwei City has planned 10 demonstration belts for rural revitalization with different themes such as “red cultural experience” and “eco-agricultural tourism”, giving full play to the advantages of red culture and characteristic industries to promote rural development. Revitalize.

Chenzhou Village is well-known for producing oysters. However, in the past, most of the oysters raised by the villagers “relied on the sea for food”. Irregular changes in typhoons and tides often reduced the production of oysters.

In recent years, the party organization of Chenzhou Village has taken the lead, inviting agricultural experts and third-party professional companies to give scientific guidance to oyster farmers, and established a joint-stock company to create technology research and development, high-end breeding, The whole industry chain integrating scientific seedling breeding, green breeding, intensive processing, product sales and brand promotion, realizes the integrated operation of production, supply and marketing of oysters.

Huang Xinjie, Deputy Director of the Village Committee of Chenzhou Village, Shanwei, Guangdong: We have built the 1200 acres of original fish, shrimp, and crab farms into a large Chenzhou oyster farming base, and integrated the 12 oyster product processing plants that are relatively large in the village. The total output value of the oyster industry reached 460 million last year.

As of the end of 2020, 137 provincial-designated poor villages in Shanwei City have completed the creation of new rural demonstration villages, driving poverty-stricken households to participate in equity participation and entrepreneurship and employment of more than 8,000 households, with an average annual income increase of more than 4,000 yuan per household, greatly improving the sense of gain and happiness of the people in the old area sense.

Scarcity also in the countryside Sought-after building land

Status: 10.06.2021 10:24 a.m.

For a long time, rural regions were considered the ideal place to realize the dream of an affordable home. In the meantime, not only have the construction costs increased. Finding a plot of land is often difficult. From Iris Völlnagel, SWR Sometimes Dirk Gaul-Roßkopf would like to be able to do magic. The mayor of Planig in Rhineland-Palatinate receives at least three inquiries per week, mainly from young families. You are looking for an apartment or a building plot. Many of them come from or live nearby. There are now around 100 inquiries piling up on the mayor’s desk. He would like to offer the families a home in the district of Bad Kreuznach, which has almost 3,000 inhabitants. From his point of view, the place has a lot to offer: many associations, two daycare centers, one elementary school. A train stop is to come in 2027 and the cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden can be reached in less than 40 minutes via the motorway. “That is why it is very important that the young people can stay here and that others settle down.”

Lack of living space – a nationwide problem

Only what to do when there is neither affordable housing nor building space? A problem that now exists all over Germany, especially in the larger cities and metropolitan areas. Many apartments in Germany are considered overcrowded. This means that an apartment has too few rooms in relation to the number of people. According to a survey by the Federal Statistical Office, this applied to 6.4 million people in 2019.

Every week the mayor Gaul-Roßkopf receives several inquiries from interested parties for building plots. That would have been around 375,000 per year. According to the latest figures from the Federal Statistical Office, a good 306,000 apartments were completed in 2020, around 293,000 in 2019 and around 287,000 in 2018.

But it’s not just about apartments, but also about the space to build. In the center of Planig there are ten building plots that would be ideal as building sites. “Ideal building plots, that would give at least three to four homes,” says Gaul-Roßkopf as he walks through the town. He has spoken to the owners several times, but they neither want to sell nor build on it. This is also a problem in many cities. The federal government tried to counter this with the building land modernization law. It is intended to strengthen the municipalities’ right of first refusal. For example, the law stipulated that in areas with tense housing markets, municipalities would be given more time and opportunities to purchase land or buildings for sale themselves in order to then build new apartments. Sounds good, but is of no use in practice, says Gaul-Roßkopf. “Where should a municipality like us, which is struggling with a budget freeze, still spend money on building land?”

Mayor Gaul-Roßkopf has high hopes for an ongoing construction project in Planig. Image: Iris Völlnagel

Future in plan

The mayor Gaul-Roßkopf is therefore placing a lot of hope in a new construction project. At the entrance to the community, several blocks with two-story single-family houses are being built on 4800 square meters. Most of the objects have already been sold, costs: from 300,000 euros. In addition, the community on the outskirts is in the process of developing a new development area. “The further we go outside, the more expensive it gets. Because wherever roads and everything have to be made, the price of land will also go up,” said the mayor. Compared to some big cities, the prices in Planig may still be cheap. But the dream of a cheap country apartment is quickly over.

Bad cell phone reception Lost in the dead zone

As of: June 8th, 2021 3:59 p.m.

Cell phone reception is still patchy in many rural areas. According to the network agency, more than ten percent of the country’s area is affected. Expansion is often delayed – companies could now face sanctions. The deeper you go into Germany’s rural regions, the worse the cell phone reception. This is the result of a current report by the Federal Network Agency. This is by no means a rare phenomenon. As the report shows, the supply is poor or non-existent on eleven percent of the country’s area. However, complete dead zones are really rare: Cell phone users, regardless of the provider, have no reception at all on just 0.3 percent of the area in Germany – they are “areas that are not provided with any technology”. This proportion is highest in Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate with 0.8 percent. In eight of the 16 federal states it is zero.

Annoying “gray spots”

However, 3.8 percent of the country’s area is referred to as so-called “white spots” in the report. In these areas, reception is only possible in the age-old 2G cellular standard. This standard is too slow for modern, complex mobile radio applications such as videos. 7.2 percent of the area are considered “gray spots”. Only one of the three German cellular networks, Telekom, Vodafone or Telefónica Deutschland, can be received there in the 4G standard. Anyone who is a customer of another network is left behind. Gray spots are astonishingly widespread: In Baden-Württemberg the proportion is ten percent, in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate it is 9.9 percent. Bavaria is fourth from bottom with 9.2 percent.

Industry points to high costs

In the Internet age, stable cell phone reception across the board is considered crucial for the development of rural areas. The flow of data is also becoming increasingly important for farmers in the fields, forest workers and hikers. The data from the Federal Network Agency show how great the need for expansion is. The telecommunications industry points to the high costs incurred in rural expansion. The network operators are now cooperating with each other to fill the gaps. In addition, there is a new state “mobile radio infrastructure company” that wants to use funding to enable radio locations where economic operation is not worthwhile. In the future, it is also planned to map 5G coverage and the main points of disconnections in voice telephony in a suitable form.

Main traffic routes not fully supplied

The report by the Federal Network Agency also deals with the issue of network supply along the main transport routes. Since the beginning of 2020, there should be 4G reception everywhere on motorways and ICE routes. However, 100 percent coverage has not yet been achieved. In the case of the motorways, the degree of coverage is between 95.4 and 99 percent, depending on the company, and between 94.4 and 98.2 percent for the railways, writes the Federal Network Agency. After all, the supply along the main traffic routes has been improved.

Fines not excluded

The authority refers to a total of around 550 locations where the companies were unable to ensure the required network supply in good time. “The examination has shown that there are cases of actual and / or legal impossibility at around 20 planned locations. The majority of the cases are temporary delays,” it says. The Federal Network Agency is currently examining possible sanctions against the mobile network operators. It is crucial here whether the delays were caused by the mobile network operator – for example due to late planning of the location – or by third parties, for example due to long building permit procedures or late cancellations by landlords. If the network operator is responsible for the delay, there is a risk of fines.

Facebook sees great potential in rural Vietnam (Photo: Nikkei) Facebook is looking for a new growth approach in rural Vietnam as its advertising business gets tougher than before. According to Facebook’s assessment, rural areas in Vietnam are rapidly adapting to smartphones, especially features such as chat and video calling. Responding to the Nikkei newspaper, the social network said that Vietnam and Thailand lead the world in using chat in online sales, in terms of the volume of messages exchanged between businesses and customers. Mr. Khoi Le, in charge of Facebook business in Vietnam, revealed that many of his colleagues in the US have been “opened eyes” to this trend. Currently, Vietnam is an extremely important market for Facebook. According to Nikkei, in its financial report filed in January this year, Facebook listed Vietnam as the largest revenue engine in Southeast Asia. Globally, nearly all of the company’s revenue comes from advertising. Mr. Le said rural markets are part of Facebook’s next phase. Of the 98 million Vietnamese, 62 million live in rural areas. Even so, their spending is expected to grow faster than those of urban dwellers. Facebook forecasts that rural spending on FMCG will grow 7% annually from 2020 to 2025, compared with 2% in cities. A survey by GroupM company on 4,500 Vietnamese people living in rural areas, Facebook pointed out that if in 2018, television is still their main traditional means, by 2020, the rate of watching TV will be only 86% and remaining Internet usage rate will reach 91%. Mr. Le shared: “I used to think that rural people are not really proficient in using the Internet.” However, a Facebook survey found that 92% of rural households own a smartphone, using it to play games, shop and watch television. “They used every tool at hand extremely proficiently,” Mr. Le said. Given the growing video-watching habits of Vietnamese users, Facebook has identified several areas of focus, including live streaming, TV shows on Facebook Watch, video clips in the news feed, reposts. from Facebook-owned Instagram. For e-commerce, Le said these options will complement Facebook’s chat feature, from chatbots to allowing sellers to answer questions directly via livestream. The company hopes it will help retailers stay connected with customers, especially after Apple’s policy took effect in April, requiring iPhone owners to allow apps to track them. The change in Apple’s policy means that companies buying ads from Google or Facebook will send targeted ads to the right audience. On Monday, Apple unveiled more security features for its latest operating systems, a move expected to further disrupt online advertising. According to Phuc Ngo, Director of Strategic Planning at marketing agency Vero, advertisers are still figuring out how to adapt to Apple’s strict tracking policy. Custom ads are currently the most effective, while “community commerce” like Facebook is touting plays a small role in the translations he manages. Mr. Ngo said: “Before the policy change, you can completely depend on Facebook’s artificial intelligence because it is very smart.” While the Vietnamese countryside is getting richer, it still lags behind the cities. The minimum monthly wage in Hanoi is 4.4 million VND, compared to 3 million VND in poor provinces. Focusing on video will bring Facebook closer to competitors like YouTube, TikTok. In contrast, TikTok is also wary of Facebook and YouTube. A survey of research firms Decision Lab said Facebook is the top choice of Vietnamese users when it comes to watching short videos, but it lost 3% in the first quarter from a year ago, while TikTok doubled its market share. Although Mr. Le emphasized the role of e-commerce in helping businesses connect with rural customers, cost is still a major obstacle. With little infrastructure outside of cities, overall logistics costs equate to 16.8% of gross domestic product, higher than the Asian average, according to the Ministry of Commerce’s 2020 Vietnam Logistics Report. . Companies can advertise their products to Vietnamese farmers. But shipping those products after a successful promotion is another matter.

Bungalow-style house with an area of 35m2, finishing cost about 300 million VND was designed by architect Tran Huy himself, as a place for himself and his family.
On a large plot of land in the East hamlet (Tay Giang, Tien Hai, Thai Binh), architect Tran Duc Huy built a bungalow-style house for his family.

Bungalow is a type of one-story house with a wide porch and is often found in resorts, high-class resorts or homestays. Bungalow is 35m2 wide, where 4 members live, including parents and 2 children. Anh Huy shared, Bungalows are often designed to be separate, small in area and have a fairly simple structure. Bungalow has an area from 15m2 to 150m2 depending on the number of people staying. A house like this brings closeness, rusticity, a little taste of the old country. The main materials for the Bungalows are quite diverse: Bamboo, cork, wood … used for the body, the pillars. Roof tiles, leaves… used for roofing. The use of natural materials helps the house to be airy, creating a feeling of being environmentally friendly. A sample Bungalow at the resort. Because it was built for a long-term stay, Huy changed the body of the house with bricks and concrete, then covered with wood. Thus, the house ensures solidity and sustainability. The outer wall is used with imitation wood tiles, creating a closeness to the village. Inside, there is enough room for 4 people to sleep, and there are 2 bathrooms. “The Bungalow house in the summer is very cool and airy,” Huy informed. Finishing costs range from 150 to 300 million VND, depending on the needs and requirements of the owner. With his family’s apartment, Huy costs about 300 million VND. “My parents have a land of 1000m2. My brothers and sisters built a house each on this land. I choose Bungalow because the demand is not much. Normally I live in Hanoi, only come back at weekends but but I don’t have much to use. Since the epidemic, my wife and I are almost here,” Huy said. This bungalow has an area of 35 m2 with 1 bedroom and 1 loft. The foundation is made of concrete, surrounded by stone. The interior space is minimalist, mainly serving sleep, rest and no kitchen.
Mr. Vien Long Binh, aged 91, is considered the father of hybrid rice. Photo: CCTV. “We recognize and highly appreciate the contributions of Professor and Academician Vien Long Binh to the world agricultural science in general and China in particular, especially appreciate the results of hybridization to create The world’s first hybrid rice was developed in 1973. With this success, he has helped nearly 20% of the world’s population escape hunger and contributed to making China one of the world’s leading rice producers,” said Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan. First letter of condolence, sent on May 23, 2021, to the family of the late Professor, Academician Yuan Longping and the Chinese agricultural industry. Mr. Yuan Longping was born in 1930, is China’s leading agricultural scientist on hybrid rice. He and his colleagues have contributed to bringing rice yield from 4.5 tons/ha to 15 tons/ha. This is considered the key to helping China solve the food security problem for more than a billion people in this country. Thanks to the late Professor Vien Long Binh, hybrid rice has been replicated throughout Africa, America and Asia. In Vietnam, the first generation of hybrid rice that was put into wide production was the variety Bac Uu 64 (also known as Tap Giao 4 – TG4), starting in the early 1990s. Thanks to this variety, along with the following varieties. such as San uu 63 (called Tap Giao 1), San uu Que 99 (Tap Giao 5), Vietnam has stabilized domestic food. After nearly ten years of access, our country has self-produced high-quality hybrid rice varieties such as HYT100, HYT 57, LC2, LC3, especially VL20 and TH3-3. However, the pioneer in the development of hybrid rice still belongs to the late Professor Vien Long Binh. Minister Le Minh Hoan continued: “In his working life, Professor, Academician Vien Long Binh has visited, worked, and supported projects/programs on hybrid rice many times, and trained staff. Research and technology transfer for Vietnam’s agricultural industry These are solid agricultural scientific foundations, gradually contributing to poverty reduction, ensuring food security and creating an export miracle. rice export of Vietnam”. At the end of the letter, Minister Hoan expressed his gratitude to the man who is considered the father of hybrid rice: “In the face of infinite grief, on behalf of Vietnam’s agricultural industry and in my personal name, I would like to send to the whole family of Mr. and the Chinese agriculture industry deeply condolences for this great loss and grief.”

The epidemic tends to decrease gradually in large urban areas but is spreading rapidly to poor rural states that are very weak in health infrastructure.
The COVID-19 epidemic in India is still very dangerous when the country continues to record up to 348,000 infections and lose up to 4,205 lives on May 11, the highest death rate in a day because of the epidemic in the country, according to a report. Times of India . As of May 12, India has recorded more than 23.3 million people infected, of which more than 254,000 have died. Science magazine The Lancet warned that India could lose up to a million people to COVID-19 by August 1.

The banks of the Ganges River in the city of Garhmukteshwar, Uttar Pradesh state (India’s most populous state) became a place to cremate the bodies of people who died of COVID-19. Photo: AFP/GETTY IMAGES The epidemic is spreading rapidly to the countryside After four consecutive days of recording the number of infections above 400,000 / day, the last two days the number of daily infections in India has fallen below this level. Many government health officials and experts predict this second wave of epidemics in India will peak around the end of this week. However, it seems that the epidemic crisis in India is moving to a more dangerous new phase. The danger is that the virus is now spreading rapidly to rural areas, according to the CIDRAP Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. In the article in the newspaper New York Times Journalist Jeffrey Gettleman, head of this newspaper’s office in the capital New Delhi, also said that the infection and death from COVID-19 that broke out in big cities a few weeks ago is now spreading very quickly to rural areas. village. New Delhi recorded nearly 12,500 infections on May 11, less than half of the number recorded on April 30. Hospitals in New Delhi are now accepting patients again, after having to stop accepting them because of overcrowding last month, leaving infected people to die on the streets. Mumbai also recorded the same. The danger is that the number of infections in New Delhi and Mumbai will probably stop increasing and decrease gradually, but in many other places will increase. In other words, the situation of New Delhi a few weeks ago now extends to almost the entire country. Some of the worst-affected states are in the south, especially Karnataka. I cannot imagine what would happen in rural India. Expert RIJO M. JOHN worried about the prospect of the COVID-19 epidemic overflowing into the countryside How will it be? This fact raises a terrifying question: If New Delhi, a rich metropolis with dozens of hospitals, is unable to handle the current wave of high cases, what will happen once this wave spreads to the country? poor rural areas? The answer seems to be gradually becoming clear. On the evening of May 10, a leading hospital in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh ran out of medical oxygen. More than 60 critically ill patients wear breathing tubes but no oxygen. The doctors worked frantically, but 11 patients did not survive that night. In a distraught over the loss of a loved one, family members stormed into the hospital and smashed it. Doctors and nurses had to flee until the police arrived. It can be clearly seen that the hospital overload, lack of oxygen, medicine … very serious even in large urban areas will be more alarming in rural states, according to the radio. CNN . Chogath farming village in the western state of Gujarat has a population of 7,400, but there are 500-600 infections, the number of people who have not survived is very high because the whole village does not have a doctor. Nearby towns have several medical centers, but these small facilities have run out of beds and medical facilities. Dinesh Makwana drove his father, who was severely infected with COVID-19, through four medical centers in neighboring towns, but had to return home, because these centers had run out of beds. Usually about 30 people die in this village every year, but in the past month alone, villagers have had to cremate 90 bodies, according to Mr. Girjashankar. Many families have lost a lot of loved ones to COVID-19. Girjashankar, 70, still volunteered to go up the hill to cut firewood to help cremate the dead. Many southern states such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu have made it clear that they will not share the medical oxygen they have with each other, having to keep it to serve hospitals that are overloaded because the number of patients is growing too fast in their states. Medical aid goods from other countries have started pouring into India since the end of April, but it is still not enough compared to the reality of the shortage in this country. Currently, in addition to urban areas suffering from severe epidemics, Prime Minister Narenda Modi’s government also spends some oxygen and medicine to urgently distribute to the states. However, with this little common ground, remote and isolated localities such as Chogath village (Gujarat state) still have to rely on their own strength.• Drop the body Ganges River because there is no money for cremation Newspaper Indian Express On May 10, Indians discovered more than 40 bodies washed up on the banks of the Ganges River near Bihar and Uttar Pradesh states in the north. Some news channels say that the number of bodies floating in the Ganges must be in the hundreds. In India, there is a custom that when a family member dies, the relatives will tie a stone to the body and drop it into the Ganges River – a sacred river for Hindus. However, many officials and locals believe that these bodies are those who died from COVID-19. Many bodies were partially burned and locals explained that the bodies were not cremated or cremated incompletely due to a severe shortage of firewood. Another reason families choose to drop their loved ones’ bodies in the river is because they can’t stand the cost of cremation, many health workers told the newspaper. New York Times . Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are two of India’s poorest states and are home to about 370 million people. Doctors warn people not to use cow dung on their bodies in the belief that it will help their immune systems deal with the virus or help them recover faster if they get sick. Hindus believe cows are a symbol of life and cow dung or cow urine is therapeutic. However, according to doctors, not only is there no scientific evidence that this can defeat COVID-19 but can also bring many other disease risks.

What happened in major cities in India a few weeks ago is repeated in rural areas, causing panic in areas lacking medical infrastructure.
More than 100 corpses of suspected COVID-19 patients have been found washed ashore on the banks of the Ganges River that flows through the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar.

Many states in southern India are warning to stop sharing medical oxygen with each other, protecting all that is available as their hospitals increasingly “swell” because of the increased number of COVID-19 cases. leap. At an Andhra Pradesh hospital, the family of COVID-19 patients went into a rage when the hospital treating their loved ones suddenly had their oxygen supply interrupted. These are the best evidences of the recurring tragedy in India itself. Despair that enveloped New Delhi – the capital of India, over the past few weeks has now spread across the country. Rural areas with poor health infrastructure are slowly feeling the devastation caused by the COVID-19 tsunami. According to the New York Times , it seems that the COVID-19 crisis in India is entering a new phase. Workers deliver oxygen tanks to a hospital in the states of Jammu and Kashmir. (Photo: AP) The number of COVID-19 cases in New Delhi and Mumbai is slowing down. But elsewhere are now really taking the COVID-19 blow. People questioned New Delhi, home to many of India’s top hospitals and packed with the country’s elite that can’t even handle the massive surge in cases, what will happen in the regions. poor countryside. On the night of May 10, a government hospital in Andhra Pradesh fell into a state of oxygen depletion. Doctors frantically call the providers to ask for help. But when the source could not be found, 11 patients died. The families of the patients, after learning of the news, entered the intensive care unit, screaming and smashing the equipment. TV images show the women holding their heads in despair. Doctors and nurses had to flee and wait for the police to arrive. Despite the aid of other countries, India still has a serious shortage of medical oxygen. More than 20 hospitals were depleted of oxygen, nearly 200 patients died from lack of oxygen. Vaccine campaign is being accelerated, but supply is not enough demand. Many vaccination sites in the states have run out of vaccines and people are still unable to schedule vaccinations. When the COVID-19 tsunami shows no signs of cooling down, the wave of criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi has intensified. Many people thought that he declared the victory of the epidemic too soon, causing the country to fall off guard. Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remains India’s most powerful political organization by far. But the solid wall the party has maintained over the years is showing some cracks. When the second wave of COVID-19s began to strike India, the country almost split into two extremes. New Delhi, Mumbai – the two largest cities in India warned that the number of new infections increased continuously with the infection rate up to 36%. In rural areas, the epidemic has also spread but has not yet strongly exploded, leaving many people leisurely. Currently, the situation in New Delhi and Mumbai is improving. On May 11, New Delhi reported 12,481 new infections, half the number of cases recorded on April 30. The positive rate for COVID-19 decreased to 19%. A mass cremation site on the banks of the Ganges River in Allahabad city, Uttar Pradesh. (Image: Getty Images) In Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, the incidence of infection decreased from 25% to 7%. People began to believe that the epidemic was about to end – something they didn’t dare to think about a few weeks ago. Last month, many hospitals in New Delhi were closed due to lack of oxygen. People are not allowed to be hospitalized to die right in front of the emergency room, in front of the hospital gate, or even on the street. When the situation was less stressful, these hospitals accepted the patients again. At the beginning of April, the infection rate in many rural India was only one digit. But now, this number is skyrocketing. “It’s hard to imagine what’s going on in the rural areas, where infection rates rose from 8% in early April to almost 27% on May 11. “, Professor Rijo M John went to the Indian Institute of Management in Kerala state. According to Mr. John, rural India does not carry out testing much and many patients may be dying because they do not receive treatment. On May 11, Modi’s government dispatched an “oxygen express train” to bring liquid oxygen to COVID-19 hotspots in the southern region. But states need more than that. A few weeks ago, several southern Indian states agreed to share oxygen supplies with each other. This week, some started mentioning ceasing to cooperate. The state government of Kerala says it cannot supply oxygen to neighboring states as it needs to retain the entire supply for the state’s growing demand. Tamil Nadu also made a similar statement, claiming he could not be shared with his poorer neighbor, Andhra Pradesh. Earlier this week in the village of Chausa, Bihar state, people panicked when they found dozens of bodies floating mysteriously on the banks of the Ganges River. No one knows who these people are or how their bodies got there. Even on the evening of May 10, images of decomposing bodies in colorful, bulging and floating bodies floating on the river shook the Indian media. Suspected bodies of COVID-19 have been washed ashore in the Ganges river in the past few days. (Photo: PTI) About 30 bodies have been found, most likely, of patients with COVID-19, officials say. Meanwhile local people said they saw about 100 bodies. “I’ve never seen so many bodies,” Arun Kumar Srivastava, a doctor in Chausa said. When the uneasiness of the villagers of Chausa had not passed, their neighbor witnessed the same scene. Villagers in Gahmar village, Uttar Pradesh state found more than 50 bodies of patients with COVID-19 washed up on the banks of the Ganges River as they passed their villages. Krishna Dutt Mishra, an ambulance driver in Chausa, said many poor people were throwing their loved ones into the river when the cremation price increased from $ 27 (more than 600,000 dong) to 200 dollars (more than 4.6 million dong). At many cremation sites, staff in some places charge five or even 10 times more than the usual price. For many families, this is too much for them.

Flying Elephant News (Yi Huan) “In the Blueberry and Blackberry Industry Demonstration Park in Caojiaqiao Community, Mazhen, we saw 5G drones and unmanned tank vehicles being sprayed with pesticides, and unmanned equipment can set routes to improve spraying efficiency.” Now, with the help of With technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and 5G, the Baima Town government has gradually realized automatic collection and analysis of the planting process, and realized the digital transformation and upgrade of the local cash crop industry.

This is a microcosm of digital village construction in Lishui District, Nanjing. In November 2019, with the approval of the State Council, the Nanjing Baima National Agricultural Science and Technology Park covering the entire Baima Town was upgraded to the Jiangsu Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone (referred to as “Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone”). So far, digital technology has been in the entire village. Become a frequent visitor during construction. In the entire process of Baima Town’s digital construction, China Mobile has played an indispensable role. It is reported that in April 2020, Nanjing Mobile and Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 5G + green and smart agriculture. According to the content of the agreement, Nanjing Nonggao District was listed as China Mobile’s joint innovation base, and actively promoted and displayed China Mobile’s 5G+ agriculture, 5G+ manufacturing, 5G+ tourism and other related information services, and jointly promoted the results of cooperation between the two parties. In September 2020, Nanjing Mobile and the Baima Town Government jointly launched the “Digital Village Project in Baima Town, Lishui District”. The introduction is becoming a new driving force to activate rural revitalization. Digital technology enables smarter agricultural construction As the saying goes: “Food is the heaven for the people.” Food comes from agriculture and is the basis for humans and other living things to survive. In today’s rapidly changing society with more and more abundant material conditions, agriculture is still one of the productive forces that we cannot ignore. Relying on science and technology to realize the modernization and intelligence of agriculture, that is, the realization of smart agriculture has also become an inevitable part. For the Baima Town government, information technology now opens up new ideas for its agricultural development and makes it smarter. In the command center, we see the intelligent management of agriculture based on the digital agriculture cloud platform. It is reported that the digital agriculture cloud platform includes GIS digital farm application system, information management application system, Internet of Things application system, production management application system, and full-chain traceability application system, which can effectively realize the digital transformation and upgrade of the local cash crop industry. Among them, the GIS digital farm application system is composed of two subsystem modules: GIS digital farm and GIS resource planning. According to the staff, “Based on the spatial geographic information system, it gathers various data on farm production and operation, environmental monitoring, and agricultural operations, and displays the current farm production and operation conditions in a panoramic and full process, the dynamic changes of the farmland greenhouse environment, the growth of crops, the occurrence of diseases and insect pests, etc. Situation. Realize real-time control and supervision of agricultural production conditions, real-time dispatch and management of farm personnel, and improve technical services and management efficiency.” The information management application system is composed of six subsystem modules: enterprise management, farm management, plot management, facility management, personnel management, and variety management. It realizes the standardization, scientification and modernization of farm management and improves the overall management efficiency of the farm. The Internet of Things application system consists of 7 subsystem modules: environmental monitoring, pest monitoring, video monitoring, stem monitoring, smart greenhouse, water and fertilizer integration, and equipment management. Farm managers can understand the farm crop growth environment and early warning information in real time through the system. , At the same time, intelligently analyze the collected data, link greenhouse equipment, water and fertilizer equipment to realize intelligent and automatic control, and improve the overall production efficiency of the farm. The production management application system includes six subsystem modules: production plan management, agricultural management, agricultural material management, harvest management, processing management, and inspection management. It helps the farm realize the standardized production operation management of crop planting, and the farm management personnel formulate the production plan through the system/ Agricultural operations are issued to the operators of the farm divisions in the form of tasks. The operators receive the tasks through the mobile terminal, execute the tasks according to the plan requirements, and submit the operation records. Work records will be displayed directly on the platform and compared with the plan. The full-chain traceability application system includes two subsystem modules: agricultural product traceability management and trace source code management. The system collects the full-link data from production to sales, and displays the node data of the production process to end consumers. The platform ensures the accuracy and non-modification of data through technical means, and enhances the credibility of the platform. Through the monitoring and analysis of big data, a good closed-loop data cycle can be formed. In addition to providing consumers with agricultural product safety information, it can also open up communication channels between enterprises and consumers, and consumers’ voices can be fed back to enterprises. , Companies can better provide consumers with quality services. Facilitate government supervision and consumer inquiries to trace back the planting production process, and further enhance the government’s supervision of the entire ecological chain of agricultural products and the building of agricultural products brand. In terms of outdoor facilities, the camera-type insect light can use remote photography to realize real-time pest monitoring, and combine plant protection experts and artificial intelligence analysis of pests to achieve green prevention and control of crop pests; spore traps provide for predicting and preventing disease epidemics and infections Reliable data, plant protection experts and artificial intelligence analyze the damage of disease spores, scientifically guide the development of crop disease prevention and control; 5G UAV plant protection improves spraying efficiency, etc. These advanced equipment can effectively guarantee the yield and quality of crops. Not only that, it is conducive to 5G+VR technology to set up remote teaching classrooms in the Zhongzhi Institute, combined with the resources of agricultural experts and professors of scientific research units, while teaching agricultural knowledge in the classrooms, farmers in remote villages can watch the lessons in the classroom in real time through VR glasses . Digital technology helps rural governance to be smarter “Digital Village” landed in Lixiang Village, Shitouzhai Community, Baima Town, Lishui District, Nanjing City. As a pilot of rural digital governance in Lishui District, because of its unique and profound red culture, it has attracted a large number of tourists to visit and learn. Relying on technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and 5G, Jiangsu Mobile has launched a 5G Internet of Things platform and a two-way traceability system for agricultural products to assist in the construction of a map of village affairs, a map of Lixiang resources, and a red Lixiang A picture to create a comprehensive information display platform to supervise and display the operation of the rural digital governance platform. At the same time, it is equipped with VR live broadcast and guide, Vlog internet celebrity clocking machine, smart dock, smart manhole cover, smart zebra crossing, water quality monitoring, meteorology Basic intelligent facilities such as stations. Taking the smart tourism system in the digital village platform as an example, we can strengthen the construction of 5G networks, 5G+AR tour guides, Internet celebrity check-ins, smart sensors and other information infrastructure service facilities for the hot spots of Red Li Lane, and build in business collaboration and data sharing In terms of achieving “transparent” smart scenic spots and smart tourism, it provides services such as real-time heat, source of passenger flow, passenger flow trend, and emergency warning. In Red Li Lane, the reporter also experienced it in real time. We have seen that in the whole process, through face recognition, trajectory tracking and other algorithms, the reporter is always the focus of follow-up, and blurs other characters in the whole picture, connects scenic spots with moving lines, and generates star-like follow-up VLog. , Very nice. Provide excellent autonomous driving test services Within the industrial new city of Lishui Economic Development Zone, Nanjing, Jiangsu Mobile deployed a vehicle-road collaboration network and autonomous driving test infrastructure to build a semi-closed controlled test road for autonomous driving technology and advanced driver assistance function testing. Increase the complexity of the traffic environment on public test roads, improve the test level for intelligent networked vehicles, and provide a wealth of vehicle-road collaboration and autonomous driving test services for Lishui and new energy vehicle companies across the country. A total of 5 kilometers of intelligent networked vehicle test roads, covering 5G communication network, Beidou differential positioning, C-V2X vehicle-road coordination, micro-environmental weather, semi-closed test environment and other infrastructure facilities, introduce professional teams to establish operating companies and establish intelligent networks Lian Automotive’s comprehensive testing and evaluation system continues to provide test subjects with rich and diversified application scenarios testing and R&D testing services such as operational safety, C-V2X, industry applications, and special traffic environments. We see that with the support of information technology such as 5G and Internet of Things, the beautiful blueprint for the planning of Baima Town in Lishui District is accelerating to become a reality, and Baima Town will also usher in leapfrog development. In this process, China Mobile will fully implement the requirements of the Baima Town development strategy, give full play to the active role of state-owned enterprises in technological innovation, accelerate breakthroughs in new generation information technology innovations such as 5G, and inject new momentum into the coordinated economic development of Baima Town in Lishui District .

Although there have been many times the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has sent an ‘urgent’ dispatch to the Management Board of the fishing port of BRVT province, asking for the complete treatment of construction works that are not in compliance with the planning in the area. Ben Loi – Binh Chau, but up to now, the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board is still ‘as calm as a jar’ before mistakes.
On January 21, 2021, the People’s Committee of Xuyen Moc district organized a mission to inspect the construction of a number of work items in the storm shelter area at Ben Loi – Binh Chau Gate. Through inspection, at present, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Fishing Port Management Board arbitrarily allows people to invest in construction on the land of Ben Loi – Binh Chau Fishing Port with 13 work items, total area. construction is 1,950m2, in which there are 3 items of sea encroachment (including 02 wharves and 01 project expected to be a coffee shop with an area of 127m2), 07 work items used for coffee business purposes, -a, soft drinks …

Through the inspection and review of legal documents, approved project design documents and current construction status, the construction of the above works arises by the Ba Ria Fishing Port Management Board – Vung Tau is not in accordance with the guidelines allowed by the Provincial People’s Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, not in accordance with the approved planning and design. Construction works on sea encroachment in contravention of approved planning at Ben Loi – Binh Chau estuary storm shelter area of Xuyen Moc district. Ba Ria – Vung Tau fishing port management board allows people to arbitrarily build sea encroachment works, pour pillars on the embankment to protect the border to build, seriously affect the safety of the protective talus, possibly potential landslides, later subsidence, danger to ships, loss of aesthetics and affect the overall site of the project, causing frustration in public opinion. The management board of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province’s fishing port does not comply with the regulations on the commencement of the work to the local authority. At the meeting with the inspection team, at the time of signing the minutes, Mr. Ngo Thanh Liem, Director was absent. Mr. Le Hong Liem, Deputy Director was present and presented opinions to the delegation to write in the minutes but did not agree to sign the minutes, indicating the non-cooperation of leaders of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Fishing Port Management Board. with local authorities. Immediately after the report of the People’s Committee of Xuyen Moc district, on February 1, 2021, Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province issued the document of express speed No. 1022 / UBND-VP on the inspection inspecting construction works in the storm shelter anchorage for fishing ships of Ben Loi – Binh Chau. Accordingly, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction and the People’s Committee of Xuyen Moc district to inspect and handle. One of the wrongly planned constructions at Ben Loi – Binh Chau estuary, used for business purposes, was requested to be dismantled. On January 25, 2021, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development presided over and coordinated with the People’s Committee of Xuyen Moc district and relevant branches to organize the inspection. Thereby, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has concluded that the construction of works in the storm shelter anchorage for Ben Loi – Binh Chau fishing boat is not consistent with the master plan. The Provincial People’s Committee approves and requests the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board to stop construction and dismantle all construction items that are not in accordance with the planning, and return to the original state before February 28, 2021. . Through the inspection and supervision at the locality, the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board has stopped the construction of work items. However, up to now, the Fishing Port Management Board only dismantled 01 item of sea encroachment, built on the guard’s slope (area 8.2m x 15.5m = 80.6m2). The remaining construction items that are not in accordance with the remaining planning remain unchanged and have not been dismantled (the un-dismantled works include 12 items, an area of about 1,869 square meters). The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province has 3 times issued a document to the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board to urgently dismantle completely and return the original state of construction works. in accordance with the master plan of the site approved by the Provincial People’s Committee on the adjustment of the investment project to build storm shelter anchorage for fishing ships of Ben Loi – Binh Chau. For unknown reasons, until now, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Fishing Port Management Board still “defies” the instruction documents from the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, has not carried out the dismantlement of the wrong builder here? Legal forums will continue to update developments regarding this incident.

Speaking of Thailand, what do you think of? Sun, beach, or Bangkok’s dazzling array of snacks?

In recent years, more and more tourists have set their sights on small villages. These villages all have famous names-Paper Umbrella Village, Wood Carving Village, Pottery Village, etc. Without exception, they all have a unique skill that attracts tourists.

This is exactly the result of Thailand’s “One Village, One Product” (OTOP) plan. Since its implementation in 2001, this plan has brought huge changes to the Thai villages, not only improving the living standards of the villagers, but also boosting their confidence.

Mr. Nong Ginseng concluded that Thailand’s OTOP plan has achieved remarkable results mainly due to the following three supports.

Government one-stop service

financial support

From the very beginning of the “One Village, One Product” plan, the support of the Thai government has always played a key role. Both the central and local governments of Thailand have set up the “One Village, One Product” committee, and require each province (equivalent to a Chinese province) to have its own “competitive products.” In 2001, the Thai government allocated 1 million baht per village to 45,000 natural villages across the country as start-up funds, and each village independently chose to lead product development.

Star certification

In recent years, the Thai government has established a quality improvement system with the “star certification system” as the core, and set up a special committee to carry out the selection of “one village, one product” demonstration villages, and selected nearly 500 best products. Officially registered as “OTOP (one village, one product)” product. If you look closely at the logo of the “One Village, One Product” product, people will find that different products have different star ratings. The five-star recognition means that the product is of excellent quality, meets the high standards set by the National One Village One Product Activity Committee of Thailand, and has good export potential. If you get a three-star or four-star product, there is still room for improvement, and you can sprint to a five-star product.

Planning guidance

These characteristic products can enjoy the support of various government departments in business consulting, packaging design, market channels, technical services, etc. For example, the Thai Ministry of Industry helps to plan product development, technical training and quality control; the Thai Ministry of Internal Affairs cooperates with each village and town to help fine-tune products for the market; the Thai Ministry of Commerce provides in addition to product design, packaging and quality control. In addition to guidance, it also explores potential markets for products, establishes intellectual property rights to protect the wisdom of local people, and facilitates the establishment of connections between domestic and foreign markets; Thailand’s Export Promotion Agency is responsible for selecting products to participate in trade shows and providing export assistance.

Open market

At the same time, Thailand has set up “One Village, One Product” product exhibition centers in almost all tourist attractions and airports, and opened an e-commerce website to provide online ordering services, allowing Thai handicrafts to move from the countryside to the world. It can be said that the combination of tourism and the promotion of the handicraft industry is one of the measures that “one village, one product” can quickly enter the consumer market.

The company established in Thailand to promote tourism and tourism is responsible for leading tourists from home and abroad to the villages of handicraft producers. Through the visit and experience, the working environment, handicrafts, local customs and culture of the producers can be better understood by the outside world. This move has not only realized the connection of production and sales, but also the handicraft culture of the village itself has become a part of tourism, and the value of handicraft products has been spread and promoted.

Through the “One Village, One Product”, the Thai people have learned about many cultural customs that were not familiar to them before. Urban residents have actively participated in the “One Village, One Product” activity. For example, the “One Village One Product Snack Expo” held in Bangkok every year is very popular.

Regarding the role of the government in the One Village One Product Project, Ms. Tie Ding, director of the Agricultural Research Center of Yuanyi Think Tank, believes that the government must not only provide support through various policies, but also grasp the degree of participation, not excessively interfere, and fully mobilize the construction. The initiative of the subject. For village-level participants, understanding the policy will help the smooth development of one village, one product. Take my country’s “One Village, One Product” demonstration village and town declaration as an example. Each application has a quota of 150,000 yuan, but there are two main ways of subsidies. One is direct subsidy to the two village committees, which are distributed and used by the village collective, and the other is subsidy to cooperatives. , Enterprises, family farms and other new agricultural business entities, subsidies to ordinary farmers are relatively small.

Talent participation

College Students

In order to make up for the shortage of rural human resources, the Thai government encourages fresh graduates to participate in the implementation of the “One Village, One Product” project. Every year, nearly 10,000 Thai college graduates are allowed to participate in the “One Village, One Product” program to receive 10-month part-time and part-time training in rural areas, and they can also receive monthly state subsidies. The relevant scientific research institutions of the Thai state have also undertaken the task of guiding farmers in the region to promote the “One Village One Product” project.

Farmer

In addition, many regions in Thailand hold handicraft training courses from time to time every year. Local farmers between the ages of 16 and 50 can sign up for the training. This kind of training does not require education level, priority is given to disabled persons, and special care is given to families with financial difficulties. After the training, the trainees return home and can engage in cottage industry production on their own. If you can’t find a sales market, you can also contact the person in charge of training and store the product in the store of the training center for sale.

volunteer

Some public welfare organizations or social volunteers will also join the project to conduct in-depth research on the handicraft industry and explore the cultural connotation of the product. The combination of local craftsmen and artists and designers has allowed local products to grow vigorously. Many products are created by villagers and artists together. It is the consensus of artists and villagers to make high-quality and innovative products.

With the efforts of the Thai government and enterprises, some rural handicrafts have also been displayed in the bustling shopping malls in downtown Bangkok. With a prominent position, sales have naturally risen, and villagers’ income has also increased. According to media reports, in Nongbu Village, Shanpao Township, Udon Thani, Udon Thani Province, northeastern Thailand, members of the “Udon Thani Province Disabled Persons with One Heart Mutual Aid Association” succeeded in putting handicrafts together with the help of the “One Village, One Product” project. The woven plastic tote bag was sent to the “Good Goods” specialty store in Bangkok’s Central World Shopping Center. The villagers said that the handbags woven in the village were sent to Bangkok’s big shopping mall, and the money sold was enough for two children to go to school.

Rural revitalization, industrial prosperity is the focus, and talent is the key. Teacher Tie Ding, director of the Yuanyi Agricultural Research Center, believes that under the brand strategy of strengthening agriculture, whether it is the construction of regional brands, corporate brands, product brands, or rural brands, it is necessary to strengthen the sense of participation of the main body of brand building. There are brands. This includes not only the main body of direct construction of the docking product, but also the talents who need to collaborate in the process of brand extension. Like Thailand’s one village, one product, it has fully mobilized all resources in the society, which can lay a solid foundation for brand building and accumulate enough publicity points for brand promotion.

Different regions for development

In advancing the One Village One Product plan, localities adapt measures to local conditions, and products in different regions have their own merits.

Northern ThailandIt is a rainforest covered mountainous area, where many beautiful and colorful rural tribes live. The tribe has its own customs and crafts, especially good at embroidery, weaving cotton fabrics, and making silverware and jewelry. The fertile valley has a long historical tradition that has nurtured superb craftsmanship. The outstanding craftsmanship of the locals also includes carving woodwork and weaving paper products and bamboo products using local materials.

Northeast ThailandThe plateau area is vast but relatively poor. Agriculture is the mainstay of local people’s lives. There is a tradition of hand-knitting, which is used for daily necessities. Silk and cotton fabrics are abundant in the area. The most popular is the Mami style design fabric, which is the design of dyeing the fabric into colored lines. In addition, there are silk products made of natural color. The styles and colors of this kind of products vary with the place of origin. Other popular handicrafts include reed mats and unique triangular pillows.

From a geographical perspective,Central RegionIt is the heart of Thailand. The central plain surrounded by the Chao Phraya River is a large rice planting area. The soil is fertile and suitable for cultivation. It is a home for orchards, rice fields and forests. The Mon and Khmer tribes lived in the early central area, and they left relics in the development history of this area. In modern times, the development of the central region was influenced by Ayutthaya and Bangkok. Today, it has developed into the modern center of Thailand, but it still produces traditional bamboo handicrafts, clay pots and other clay products.

Eastern ThailandThe area is a narrow coastal zone from Bangkok to the Thai-Cambodian border. It is also a fertile agricultural area and is famous for producing a variety of high-quality fruits. The processed fruit foods there are very popular. In addition to relying on tourist resorts such as Pattaya, Rayong and Trat to generate income, the people of the eastern region are also famous throughout the country for producing a variety of bamboo, rattan baskets, reed mats and fabrics.

Southern ThailandThe area is a peninsula that extends to Malaysia. Along the way, there is a long coastline with beautiful harbors and tropical islands, and there are endless rolling mountains. In addition to fishing income from the sea, people in the southern region also rely on income from the production of rubber and tin products, and the sale of coconuts, pineapples and other fruits to make a living. Lipao fabrics, reed fabrics, pannan Pandanus fabrics and wood carving handicrafts are also very popular in this area.

It is pointed out in the application materials of the Yipin Yipin Demonstration Town that it is necessary to make full use of the local superior resources, through the implementation of regionalization, specialization, industrialization, standardization, specialization, and branding, so that a village (county, township) has one or more A leading product and characteristic brand with a high level of development and obvious characteristics. Teacher Tie Ding, director of the Agricultural Research Center of Yuanyi Think Tank, said that judging from the current construction situation, it is not uncommon to see the phenomenon of one product in one thousand villages and one side in one thousand villages. Without characteristics, it lacks the spiritual support of the brand, and thus cannot obtain greater sustainable economic, social and ecological benefits.

The construction of one village, one product emphasizes the prominent leading industries, and the professional villages and towns that have obtained the registration and protection of agricultural geographical indications, Chinese geographical indication certification trademarks or national geographical indication protection product certification are given priority. It can be seen from this that to build a distinctive brand, it is necessary to tap and amplify the advantages of landmark products, and build the brand around its three worlds, namely, the world of quality and deliciousness, the world of history and culture, and the world of green ecology.
