Here is Lake Clark which is the oldest and largest in the Chigmit Mountains area. Lake Clark is the most important breeding ground for North American salmon. Lake Clark Park is also known for its diverse geology including jagged peaks, granite peaks, dozens of glaciers, and hundreds of waterfalls. Because of the abundance of salmon, Lake Clark is a favorite destination for grizzly bears.
