Mark Anderson said that “software is eating the world.” This is not alarmist. After entering the cloud era, everything seems to be happening. The original virtualization technology realized the abstraction of hardware details, making the infrastructure a single entity managed by software. The emergence of cloud computing has further turned hardware into an abstract resource, and cloud applications have turned hardware operation and maintenance into a service. The presence of hardware seems to be gradually declining in the cloud era. But in fact, with the development of cloud computing, a large number of opportunities for hardware innovation are also being created. For example, the emergence of software definitions has actually released more value and possibilities of hardware. Take software-defined storage as an example. Driven by many factors, it is also facing the status quo of being invincible. From the past 1.0 era to the new 2.0 era, speeding up has become the general trend. 1 Revisiting software definition Because of Tesla’s halo effect, “software definition”, a key word full of industry attributes, has entered the public’s field of vision. Tesla used a set of software-defined logic to change the competitive landscape in the automotive industry over the past century, and thereby promote software-defined cars, software-defined values, and even software-defined worlds. Back to the data center field, software definition originated from SDN (Software Defined Networking), and its concept originated in the Clean Slate research project of Stanford University in 2006. The software-defined data center was proposed by VMware in August 2012, and as a result, two new fields of software-defined storage (SDS, Software Defined Storage) and software-defined computing (SDC, Software Defined Compute) were created. In 2013, Gartner released the “software defines everything” among the top ten strategic technologies of 2014. Gartner believes that software defines everything including the growing market momentum under the improvement of infrastructure programmability standards, data center interoperability driven by the inherent automation of cloud computing, DevOps, and rapid infrastructure provision. ExponTech (Huarui Index Cloud Technology) CTO Cao Yuzhong said, “The three branches of software-defined computing, network, and storage have been recognized by the market in the past ten years. The essential development logic is that more and more capabilities are in software. The difference in hardware is shielded by software capabilities. For example, the emergence of the trend of cloud computing is the greatest achievement of software definition.” ExponTech CTO Cao Yuzhong Indeed, cloud computing uses a large-scale distributed software architecture to define the cloud infrastructure, and the underlying hardware is becoming more and more standardized. Taking the public cloud as an example, it emphasizes both the standardization of hardware and the abundance of upper-layer capabilities. The key lies in the software-defined layer. Therefore, the software definition itself can be seen as the cloud technology architecture model and the trend of technology development. Of course, Cao Yuzhong also pointed out, “In the process of software definition, software definition does not determine everything. We are also seeing new trends. For example, when business scenarios and performance have higher requirements, some new hardware will also appear. The form requires the cooperation of software and hardware. For example, in AI scenarios, software definition is required to adapt to new hardware.” From the perspective of software-defined storage, in fact, the relationship between software and hardware needs to be re-examined. From the customer’s point of view, software and hardware must be decoupled and should not be bound to specific hardware. In terms of product form, it may be a combination of software and hardware, or it may be pure software. Therefore, we see that the delivery model of software-defined storage includes both pure software and an integrated delivery form of software and hardware. There is no absolute boundary between them and ultimately depends on the actual service needs of customers. 2 Software-defined storage space and layout From the perspective of the software-defined data center, the development of software-defined storage is gaining momentum. Data show that the overall software-defined storage market will exceed 10 billion yuan in 2020, accounting for nearly 30% of the enterprise-level storage market. Globally, some analysts predict that data shows that by 2023, the global SDS market will exceed 80 billion US dollars. With such a huge development space for software-defined storage, Cao Yuzhong analyzed the key points from both macro and micro dimensions. #01 From a macro perspective First of all, the development of the software-defined storage market and the cloud computing market are complementary. Based on software definition, to build a storage resource pool, which is consistent with the concept of cloud computing, software definition and cloud are a perfect match. Therefore, the bottom layer of cloud computing tends to be distributed storage technology. As all industries are moving towards cloudification, software-defined storage will be more developed, and its development trend will be synchronized with the development of cloud computing. Secondly, it is social demand. Human society is entering the digital society at a fast pace, and technologies driven by digital technologies such as the Internet of Things and AI are constantly erupting. These technologies are based on massive data operations, and propose flexibility and scalability for data storage and processing. higher requirement. Compared with traditional storage, software-defined storage ensures that under the premise of a user-controllable TCO (total cost of ownership), it also has the characteristics of agility and efficiency, on-demand deployment, stability and reliability, and is especially suitable for dealing with the challenge of massive data. #02 From a micro perspective First of all, the digital transformation of all industries in the future, and industries where enterprise IT cloud transformation is prosperous, will usually choose software-defined storage technology. Because they need to meet the requirements of business innovation through rapid cloud transformation. Fast-transforming industries such as new consumption and the Internet are the markets with the most intensive demand for software-defined storage applications. Secondly, among the traditional industries where digital transformation is relatively fast, especially industries that need to process massive amounts of data, such as autonomous driving in the automotive industry, according to Intel’s survey data, each driverless vehicle will generate about 4TB of data per day… They are also one of the main driving forces for the software-defined storage market to accelerate. 3 Out of open source technology, architectural innovation From 0 to 1 of any technology is the most difficult process, and the application of open source technology has contributed to the development of software-defined storage. The most typical one is Ceph. Ceph’s unified and distributed design concept realizes a set of storage that provides multiple storage services for objects, blocks, and files at the same time. It not only meets the needs of different applications, it greatly simplifies storage deployment and operation and maintenance, but also allows the scalability and scale of the storage system. It is no longer restricted, thus promoting the development of software-defined storage. But open source does not mean everything. It is more like a double-edged sword. It is necessary to objectively look at the value of open source technology to the future of software-defined storage. On the one hand, open source technology has important value in rapidly popularizing technology and expanding the ecosystem. For example, Ceph has played an important role in the field of software definition, cultivating talents, lowering technical thresholds, and promoting the widespread use of technology. On the other hand, open source technology also has its disadvantages. Many open source projects focus on new features and technical highlights, and it takes less time to polish the product, resulting in overall deliverability, operation and maintenance. The ease of use and other non-functional features are weak or even missing, and it is difficult for ordinary small and medium-sized teams to have the energy and sufficient technical capabilities to complete the commercialization of open source technologies. Cao Yuzhong also reminded, “To make good use of open source, a strong team is needed, which means high costs for enterprises.” This is also the reality of many software-defined storage projects. Some open source projects have focused on small improvements in the past ten years, lacking fundamental changes. If no changes are made at the architectural level, software-defined storage will face more thorny challenges in the next few years. The 2.0 era of software-defined storage came out at the historic moment. 4 Software-defined storage Era change from 1.0 to 2.0 We know that in any era, there must be important driving factors. Software-defined storage 1.0 has gone through more than ten years, and now it is about to enter the 2.0 era, what are its driving factors? First, look at the industry perspective. The digital transformation of the industry has given birth to a large number of popular emerging technologies. Faced with the demand for massive data processing, data storage is required to be able to support the development of emerging technologies. The architecture of software-defined storage 1.0 was born before 2010, and it is difficult to foresee today’s technology and market demand. Second, look at the hardware development perspective. Ten years ago, the mainstream hardware was mechanical hard drives with low-speed networks of around 1G. Today, SSD solid-state hard drives are gradually replacing mechanical hard drives, and the network has also been upgraded from 100M and Gigabit to 100G or even 400G. This also requires a new software-defined storage architecture to meet the needs of hardware iteration. Third, look at the perspective of cloud computing architecture. Software-defined storage 1.0 is mainly to build a virtualized environment in the customer’s data center. Nowadays, the development trend of distributed cloud has made the storage architecture in public clouds, even multiple public clouds, as well as core data centers and edge data centers, and the cloud computing environment has become complicated. This also requires software-defined storage architecture upgrades to adapt to the new The change. Fourth, look at the data perspective. The software-defined storage 1.0 architecture was born out of storage thinking, based on the dimension that data is a derivative and accessory of an application. But now data is the driving force of the application, and the application is to play the value of the data. Software-defined storage architecture needs to be upgraded to a new data-centric perspective. It is precisely because of these key factors that ExponTech (Huarui Index Cloud Technology) put forward the concept of software-defined storage 2.0. We can indeed see the new value of software-defined storage 2.0 from the overall product logic. #01 Support end-to-end composable architecture From the perspective of data perception and IO perception, it combines and integrates storage resources in distributed cloud environments (private clouds, multiple public clouds, edge), providing different IO models, different performance and reliability requirements, and many types of protocol interfaces (iSCSI, S3) , POSIX, NFS, CIFS, CSI, HDFS, etc.) can be freely combined and deployed flexibly. Scale-up and Scale-out can be expanded arbitrarily. One data platform and one data support diversified business loads; #02 Architecture adapts to distributed cloud environment A set of software stack covers multiple scenarios of public cloud/private cloud/edge cloud, which can span data centers, multiple public clouds and edges, to achieve full transparent management and scheduling of data, business perception and data flow from a business perspective. The storage location tends to be transparent, and any location business can access any location data; #03 Architecture and cloud native environment adaptation Full-containerized deployment and micro-service management to achieve minimal deployment across hybrid multi-clouds and edges. Data storage/services can be orchestrated and agilely distributed anywhere in the cloud and edge, and data flow can be self-adapted and strategically scheduled to improve Adapt and support cloud native applications; #04 A new generation of distributed storage engine Realize complete support for new storage media and emerging technologies, including adapting new media or new technologies such as SSD, SCM, NVMe-oF, RoCE, etc., and give full play to the capabilities of these new technologies to adapt to massive data storage and analysis and production core Business requirements; #05 Have a more comprehensive data perspective Rather than just a storage perspective, the overall consideration of southbound data storage and northbound data services can seamlessly evolve to a data lake, a lake warehouse integrated platform, and a hybrid multi-cloud data platform by means of combined and superimposed service components. It is not difficult to find that the software-defined storage 2.0 defined by ExponTech is not completely supported by ideas, but also has support for solutions that can be implemented and a sufficient set of capabilities. 5 postscript Cao Yuzhong said, “We hope to surpass the limitations of SDS only focusing on the storage layer, and use a new generation of distributed architecture technology to help enterprises build a data-centric architecture, better adapt to the trend of distributed cloud, and realize a data platform. , To store and manage all the data in the enterprise.” It is based on this vision that ExponTech has planned a clear product goal and development path. Based on a combined architecture, a unified storage engine, a unified metadata service engine, etc., different service components are introduced rhythmically, including various storage coordination interfaces and various data-related services. Regarding the connection of the past software-defined storage 1.0, Cao Yuzhong said frankly that ExpoTech will also give priority to compatibility with the original open source ecosystem, and seamlessly connect the original Ceph-based customers. At the same time, it will aggregate industry partners to build SDS2.0. The new ecosystem of the times. All great companies are derived from a clear vision. ExponTech, which defines the era of software-defined storage 2.0, is striding forward on this road

Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Zhao Shu commented on Zhao Chi) Physical supermarkets are getting closer and closer to Internet giants. On June 15, a reporter from Beijing Commercial Daily noticed that the major shareholder of Beijing Huaguan Commercial Technology Development Co., Ltd. had been changed to Jiangsu Zhuoyu Information Technology Co., Ltd. on March 31 this year, which was 100% Suqian Jingdong Jiapin Trading Co., Ltd. Holding, and Suqian Jingdong Jiapin is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jingdong Group. The original shareholders Beijing Huaguan Trading Co., Ltd. and Beijing Lihuan Consulting Management Partnership (Limited Partnership) withdrew. At the same time, Feng Yi, vice president of JD.com and president of JD.com retail group’s omni-channel business group, was newly appointed as chairman of Beijing Huaguan Commercial Technology Development Co., Ltd.

According to the Tianyancha APP, Beijing Huaguan Commercial Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a commercial enterprise with chain shopping malls and supermarket chains as its main business. Its main body is Beijing Huaguan Commercial. Beijing Huaguan Commercial Technology has invested in Zhuozhou City. 6 companies including Huaguan Supermarket Co., Ltd. and Beijing Yanxin Huaguan Trading Co., Ltd.

The entry of JD.com also means that the digitization process of Huaguan will be accelerated in an all-round way. It is worth noting that at the 2021 China International Retail Innovation Conference on May 24 this year, Feng Yi also stated that JD.com will in-depth cooperation with Arima to build an omni-channel retail benchmark, and launch digital synergy in the supply chain, omni-channel business upgrades, In-depth cooperation in member digital management has jointly promoted the omni-channel retail reform of Arima.

In fact, Huaguan and JD.com had cooperated a few years ago. As early as 2014, Beijing Huaguan Commercial and JD.com signed an O2O strategic cooperation agreement. In the future, they will be stationed on JD.com’s platform to sell products and be responsible for distribution. Although the cooperation between the two parties did not create much spark, Huaguan has never given up the idea of building an omni-channel. It is understood that in 2017, Huaguan Supermarket and WeChat Pay launched a self-service payment applet, and replaced waiting in line with one-click payment on mobile phones, realizing an automated supermarket shopping experience.

On January 24 this year, Zhang Bing, a representative of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress and chairman of Beijing Huaguan Commercial Technology Development Co., Ltd., revealed in an interview with a reporter from Beijing Commercial Daily at the Fangshan District Group Meeting of the Fourth Meeting of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress that Huaguan Supermarket in 2021 It is expected that 10 new stores will be opened in Beijing. At the same time, Huaguan Supermarket will continue its digital transformation.

Zhang Bing told a reporter from Beijing Business Daily that some roads were closed due to the fluctuation of the epidemic, which affected the stability of the supply of goods. This requires companies to be fully prepared in peacetime to deal with emergencies. This poses a challenge to the responsiveness of the company’s supply chain, which means that we need to be predictive, and the basis of the pre-judgment is the digital operation of the production area, inventory, scheduling, and sales. Supermarket retail must change from extensive to refined Transformation of operations.

It can be seen that the supermarket retail industry and the Internet have moved from antagonism to integration, the former has gone from lively to deserted, the latter has gone from small to unshakable, and now the combination of the two, the supermarket market has also entered a new Internet era and new Retail stage. As Ali started to take a stake in RT-Mart in 2017, Ali’s digital transformation is also getting better. This has also allowed more and more companies to follow suit. Especially during the epidemic, supermarket online orders surged, and online platforms became the second growth curve driving traditional supermarket sales. This also allows physical supermarket companies to see the prospect of digitalization and accelerate the pace of digital transformation.

Wen Zhihong, partner of Hejun Consulting and head of chain management, said in an interview with a reporter from Beijing Business Daily that the current digital wave in the supermarket industry has arrived, and the business model of the supermarket industry in the future will no longer just stay in the original offline. Physical stores are moving towards omni-channelization.

“Comprehensive integration actually means the reconstruction of the traditional retail industry, including commodity management, customer service, store management, and store planning. Great changes have taken place. It will be very difficult to develop on your own capabilities alone. . The development of an enterprise will have different leading forces at different stages.” Wen Zhihong analyzed.

A healthcare worker is vaccinated against COVID-19 at a hospital in Kolkata, India. Photo: AP In India, the number of infections on May 30 was 165,553 cases, the lowest level in the past 6 weeks. The number of deaths also tended to decrease, to 3,460 cases and the third day in a row below 4,000 cases.

The vaccination campaign is being accelerated by India, although vaccine supply remains a big challenge. As of May 30, India has injected more than 212 million doses of the vaccine, ranking third in the world after China and the US. About 12% of the population was vaccinated with at least one dose, of which 3.1% were fully vaccinated. Prime Minister Narenda Modi’s government said on May 30 that about 120 million doses of the vaccine will be included in the vaccination program in June, a significant increase from 79.8 million doses in May. , government advisers also said that India could reach a supply of 2 billion doses of vaccine between August and December this year, mainly from two domestic manufacturers, the Serum Institute of India (Serum Institute of India). SII) – responsible for producing vaccine samples of AstraZeneca and Bharat Biotech Company, the focal point of domestic production of Covaxin vaccine. In June, the government will provide 60.9 million doses of vaccine to the states to vaccinate health workers along with some other forces on the frontline against the epidemic, people over 45 years old. About 58.6 million doses will be ordered and distributed by state governments and private hospitals. Malaysia on May 30 recorded 6,999 new cases of COVID-19 and was the 5th consecutive day of outbreaks of infection. The government of this country plans to set up more large-scale vaccination centers, mobilize private medical staff to participate in vaccination campaigns in the context of Malaysia preparing to implement a nationwide shutdown. for a period of two weeks, from June 1-14. Medical staff take samples for COVID-19 testing for people in Selangor, Malaysia on May 23, 2021. Photo: THX/VNA Speaking at an online press conference on May 30, Malaysian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Khairy Jamaluddin said the government will establish five new large-scale vaccination centers in Kuala Lumpur and have Two more similar centers could be established in the northern state of Penang and the southern state of Johor. Each of such centers has the capacity to administer 40,000 doses of vaccination per day. The Government will also conduct training and training for doctors and nurses to perform vaccinations, stemming from the fact that some vaccines need different handling and storage methods and are different from conventional vaccines. Mr. Jamaluddin also said that the supply of vaccines will increase in the near future, so the government will mobilize manpower from hospitals and private medical centers to voluntarily participate in the vaccination campaign. According to Jamaluddin, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s government is also expected to set up mobile vaccination centers at roads to vaccinate people. Currently, about 6% of Malaysia’s 32 million people have received at least one vaccination. In the Philippines, the head of the Philippine Government’s COVID-19 Task Force, Mr. Czar Carlito Galvez Jr, said on May 30 that more than 5 million doses of the vaccine have been administered to people, after nearly 3 months of implementation. vaccination campaign. People wear masks to prevent COVID-19 infection in Manila, Philippines. Photo: THX/VNA Most of these were administered to priority groups, including 1.4 million doses for healthcare workers, 1.368 million doses for the elderly and 1,150 million doses for people with underlying medical conditions. Vaccines introduced in the Philippines include Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Pfizer. Galvez also said that in June, the Philippines is expected to receive an additional 10 million doses of vaccine, including the amount of vaccine through the Covax Initiative program, 2.3 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, 2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 1 million doses of vaccine. Sinovac vaccine. The first batch of 250,000 doses of Moderna is also expected to arrive on June 21. The administration of President Rodrigo Duterte has set a target of vaccinating about 70 million people or more than 50% of the population this year. However, this plan is facing major challenges. In addition to the limited supply of vaccines, the lack of confidence in Chinese vaccines is also a big barrier. It was Mr. Duterte who recently had to speak to reassure, urging people to avoid the mentality of choosing a vaccine, but to see that having a vaccine to inject is already a good thing.

WhatsApp is working to provide three levels of audio playback speed for voice messages at 1x, 1.5x and 2x, which will be released in the near future.
Some WhatsApp users have gotten the ability to listen back to voice messages at different rates. This feature has been activated on the beta for Android Beta 2.21.9.4.

WhatsApp is testing a Beta feature to speed up the playback of voice messages After a short activation, WhatsApp released a new version of Android beta 2.21.9.5 to disable this feature. This is arguably another surprise, because WhatsApp typically tests features for a few months before rolling out to public beta testers. This could be a buggy update from WhatsApp and has been quickly fixed. The interface for this version of WhatsApp has also been changed to better accommodate the new features. An icon appears right next to the voice message to perform accelerated operations that the user wants to hear again. In addition to playback acceleration, another feature also tested by WhatsApp is the ability to delete or make changes to a chat on just one active device without affecting any linked devices other. That is, changes or deletion of any chats through one handset will not be deleted from other linked devices. This is quite confusing because often performing a delete or change operation means that the content the user will not want to save on any device. If this feature is kept by WhatsApp, users will have to delete the chats multiple times on multiple devices. This feature is in line with what WhatsApp introduced previously, which is that each account can be importing up to 4 devices at the same time. However, the log out of all these devices is said to be in development, users still have to go to each device to remove the WhatsApp account. The new features that WhatsApp has introduced well for users to try out may see that it may be coming to many people soon.

With the rate of tropical deforestation on Earth accelerating despite slowing global economic growth, a study released on March 30 shows that the area of primary forest is burned or cleared in 2020. area of the Netherlands.

The Amazon forest was cut down in Brazil. Documentary photo: AFP / VNA According to a report based on satellite data by the Global Forest Monitoring Organization, Brazil was the most severely damaged, the area of destroyed forest in the country was 3 times higher than that of the second ranked country, the DRC. . In 2020, up to 4.2 million hectares of primary forest in the tropics will be destroyed, 12% higher than the previous year. Altogether in 2020, the tropical regions will lose 12.2 million hectares of greenery, including forests and tree plantations, mainly due to agricultural activities. Researchers also pointed out that extreme heat and drought have also caused wildfires, burning vast forests in Australia, Siberia and deep in the Amazon region. The author of the report, Ms. Frances Seymour of the World Resources Institute said that these losses reflect a state of emergency in climate. This is not only an ecosystem crisis, but also a humanitarian disaster, loss of economic potential. The study has provided some evidence that the restrictions imposed by countries to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic are also impacting this trend worldwide, as it increases the rate of illegal exploitation due to the forests are no longer protected, or more people have returned to the countryside. The researchers warn that the worst consequences will happen if countries stop protecting forests for economic purposes. However, according to Ms Seymour, the “worst sign” of last year was that forests became victims of climate change, according to which wetlands are still burning. According to research, trees and soils absorb up to 30% more carbon produced by human pollution each year, so the rapid disappearance of tropical forests will result. Uncompensable damage to the Earth’s ecosystem. The researchers emphasize that destroying tropical primeval forests in 2020 will emit 2.64 tons of CO2, the equivalent of India’s annual emissions, or 570 million cars, or twice as much. the emissions of all vehicles circulating in the US. Ms. Seymour warned that the more the world is delaying preventing deforestation, or slowly pushing towards the goal of neutralizing emissions, the more likely it is that natural forests that absorb CO2 on Earth will disappear completely. In Brazil, the government has cut budgets for environmental programs, leaving many Amazon lands to be exploited for resources and agribusiness, resulting in 1.7 million hectares of primary forest being destroyed in 2020. , up 25% from 2019. Meanwhile, the Pantanal tropical wetlands, the paradise of ecosystems stretching from Brazil to Bolivia, also suffered many fires. Bolivia is the country with the third highest deforestation rate in the world in 2020. Indonesia is a bright spot when reducing deforestation rate by 17% compared to 2019 and for the first time in 20 years, it escapes the group of three countries with the highest deforestation rate in the world. Deforestation rate in Indonesia has decreased for 4 consecutive years. Last year wet weather, combined with government policies, had had a long-term positive impact on the destruction of primary forests, researchers say. Forests cover more than 30% of the Earth’s area, while tropical forests are home to 50-90% of all terrestrial creatures. Earlier this week, research published in the journal Nature Ecology & Evolution estimated that growing commodity demand in rich countries is accelerating deforestation in tropical regions. Recent studies have warned that to a certain point, deforestation in the Amazon threatens to change the climate of the entire region, turning tropical forests into savannas.

You can see many programs that start with Windows 10, but they are not necessary. The instructions below will help remove some unnecessary programs, making your computer boot faster.

Task Manager interface.

Turn off booting of some unnecessary programs

All you need is a built-in utility – Task Manager. This app isn’t just the place to stop nasty bots from refusing to shut down. The task manager can also help with boot time management. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc. Alternatively, press the Windows key, type “Task Manager” and select Task Manager from the search results that appear.

If Task Manager is in minimal view, click More details in the lower left of the window to see the full program.

In Expanded view, select the Startup tab. This section lists all the different third-party programs that are trying to launch at boot time. Virtually all of them can be turned off, but there are some possibilities you’ll want to leave them alone.

To figure out what to turn off and what to retain, see the Startup impact column. Any program classified as “High” or “Medium” must be a “candidate” for disabling. Some programs like sound card, password manager or something related to graphics card … must be kept. On the other hand, items like web browser helper or virtual private network (VPN) can wait to launch until you really need them.

To disable a program, select it, then at the bottom right of the window click the Disable button. Under the Status column you will now see that the program has moved from Enabled to Disabled. Continue as needed through the list of third-party programs.

Turn on Fast Startup

Windows 10 also has an option to start your computer faster, which is Fast Startup. When you turn on Fast Startup, Windows 10 automatically creates a Hibernate file for faster startup. How to enable “Fast Startup” as follows:

Step 1: Open “Control Panel”, then select “View by: Large icons”.

Step 2: Select the “Power Options” feature.

Step 3: Click “Choose what the power buttons do” in the left pane of the window.

Step 4: At the top, please click on the green text “Change settings that are currently unavailable”.

Step 5: Under “Shutdown settings”, check the box “Fast Startup”. Click “Save Changes” to save the settings on your machine.

Run Disk Cleanup and upgrade the drive

Alternatively, to add a bit more speed during boot time, you can also run Disk Cleanup. This will remove any junk files and make your SSD or hard drive work more efficiently.

If your computer is still using a mechanical drive, upgrade to an SSD card for faster boot. Installing an SSD is one of the simplest hardware upgrades you can make, and the difference it makes in terms of overall performance is impressive.

With these tips, you should see a significant improvement in your computer’s boot time, and the best part is that it doesn’t require any special third-party software downloads.

Specifically, the height of Vietnamese youth in the 18-year-old male group by 2020 will reach 168.1 cm (an increase of 3.7 cm compared to 2010). This figure for women is 156.2 cm (an increase of 2.4 cm compared to 2010).

In addition, this result also shows that the average energy level in the Vietnamese diet is 2,023 calories / person / day, a slight increase compared to 1,925 calories in 2010.

According to the survey results, the amount of vegetables and fruits in Vietnam has increased, but only reached 66.4 – 77.4% of the recommended demand from the nutrition pyramid. Meanwhile, Vietnamese people are consuming more meat with 136.4 g / person / day (compared with 84 g in 2010).

Notably, at schools in the city, the consumption of soft drinks and fast food tends to increase. Parallel is the rate of overweight and obesity among school-age children (5-19 years old), increasing from 8.5% in 2010 to 19% in 2020.

In contrast, the rate of stunting in children under 5 years old nationwide is 19.6%. This rate is ranked as average by the World Health Organization (WHO). Vietnam still has regional disparities in stunting rates.

Meanwhile, the proportion of Vietnamese people with preclinical vitamin A deficiency and anemia was mild. However, the number of people with zinc deficiency is quite large, especially for high-risk groups such as children, mothers …

At the Conference announcing the results of the National Nutrition Census 2019-2020, Ms. Rana Flowers, UNICEF Representative in Vietnam, said that the triple burden of nutrition, including stunting and overweight fertility and micronutrient deficiency, Vietnam needs urgent interventions, reviewing and improving its approach.

Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said: “This Census of Nutrition is the largest scale ever. The survey was conducted on a national scale with 22,400 households in 25 provinces and cities. representing 6 ecological regions; simultaneously collecting indicators on anthropology, micronutrients, individual diets as well as information on food security and food safety and hygiene “.

Meanwhile, Professor, Dr. Le Danh Tuyen, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, said that this National Nutrition Census has important implications in evaluating the goals of the National Strategy on Nutrition. period 2011-2020 and provide scientific evidence to serve the drafting of the strategy for the next phase.

According to a report by the National Institute of Nutrition, the Ministry of Health, the rate of overweight and obesity will increase from 8.5% in 2010 to 19% in 2020 (more than 2 times higher), of which in urban areas it is 26. 8% (more than 3 times), 18.3% in rural areas and 6.9% in mountainous areas.
Eat too much meat, less vegetables

According to the results of the National Nutrition Census 2019 – 2020, the diet of people in 2020 has increased on average, but only about 66.4% – 77.4%. compared with the recommended adult nutritional pyramid needs.

Meat consumption increased rapidly, more than 1.5 times, from 84g / person / day (2010) to 136.4g / person / day (by 2020); consumption in city areas is higher. Meanwhile, rice consumption tends to decrease. There is a trend in city schools to increase the consumption of soft drinks and fast foods.

Consumption of meat and ready-to-eat foods is the cause of obesity and overweight.

The rate of stunting in school age children (5-19 years old) is 14.8% (in 2010 this rate was 23.4%). It is very noteworthy that the rate of overweight and obesity will increase from 8.5% in 2010 to 19% in 2020 (more than 2 times), of which it is 26.8% in urban areas (more than 3 times higher). 18.3% in rural areas and 6.9% in mountainous areas.

Exercise will help children avoid obesity.

Proper nutrition and increased exercise to prevent obesity

According to Assoc. Dr. Le Bach Mai – Former Deputy Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, if the child has mild physical activity, sleep less than 8 hours / day, the risk of being overweight and obese is almost 3 times higher than that of physically active children. heavy power, enough sleep, little computer sitting Therefore, elementary school students need 1-2 hours / day of physical exercise and sports. On the other hand, feed your baby regularly on a fixed day of the month before eating. If your child gains weight in excess of the standard for 3 to 5 months in a row, parents need immediate treatment to avoid obesity. When the baby has shaped the eating habits and overweight is too much, it is difficult for parents to lose weight.

Experts also recommend that the best method is proper nutrition, increase physical activity, and reduce sedentary time. Children under 2 years old should not watch TV, older children should only watch TV for less than 2 hours / day or less than 14 hours / week. In addition, the sleep time, for children 0-5 years old is 11 hours / day; 5-10 years old is 10 hours / day; over 10 years old is 9 hours / day.

Also according to experts, the prevention of overweight and obesity is not only the responsibility of the health sector but needs the coordination of many other disciplines, including the Education sector. The school needs to balance school meals, create a playground for children to exercise and play sports. On the other hand, children need to be educated to realize the harmful effects of obesity and how to prevent them. Besides, parents need to set an example for their children about healthy and balanced exercise and eating habits; encourage and encourage your child to play sports or participate in active games instead of playing games, “surfing” Facebook …

The requirements for energy and protein at specific ages are as follows:
+ From 6 years old: Energy 1600; 36g protein
+ From 7-9 years old: Energy 1800; Protein 40g
+ From 10-12 years old: Energy 2100– 2200; Protein 50g

Attention: If it is not possible to process many kinds of dishes in a day, the child’s protein can be calculated as follows: For every 100g of lean meat is equivalent to 150g of fish or shrimp, 200g of tofu, 2 duck eggs or 3 eggs . If you eat all kinds of vermicelli, vermicelli, pho, potato, maize, and cassava, you must reduce the amount of rice.

After 10 years, Vietnam has achieved many achievements in nutrition. However, we still face some challenges such as overweight, obesity in children or increasing meat consumption …

The National Nutrition Survey is conducted every 10 years, implemented by the National Institute of Nutrition in cooperation with the General Statistics Office, and is supported by many international organizations.

According to Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen, this Census (2019 – 2020) has the largest scale ever in the country, with the participation of 22,400 households in 25 provinces, represents 6 ecological regions.

The research team has simultaneously collected indicators on anthropology, micronutrients, individual diets, as well as information on food security and food safety and hygiene.

Information at the Conference to announce the results of the National Nutrition Census held on the morning of April 15, Prof. Dr. Le Danh Tuyen, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition said, the census results showed that after 10 years Vietnam has achieved many achievements in nutrition such as growth in height, reduction of the rate of stunting and malnutrition …

However, we still face many challenges such as increasing the rate of overweight, obesity in children or rapid increase in meat consumption …

Prof. Le Danh Tuyen, Director of National Institute of Nutrition presented the results of the National Nutrition Survey 2019-2020 – Photo: Nguyen Lien

Seven main results are announced after the National Nutrition Census:

Meat consumption increased rapidly, the amount of vegetables and fruits consumed was small

According to survey results, the average energy in Vietnamese diets is 2,023 kcal / person / day, a slight increase compared to 1,925 kcal / person / day in 2010. Structure of energy generation from protein, lipids and glucide (2020) is: 15.8% – 20.2% – 64% (compared with total energy intake). This structure is considered balanced as recommended for the Vietnamese people.

The average level of consumption of vegetables and fruits per capita increased from 190.4g vegetables / person / day; 60.9g of ripe fruit / person / day (2010) to 231.0g of vegetables / person / day; 140.7g ripe fruit / person / day (2020). However, this consumption is only about 66.4 – 77.4% compared with the recommended requirement of the Nutrition Tower for adults.

Meanwhile, meat consumption increased rapidly: from 84g / person / day (average meat consumption nationwide in 2010) to 136.4g / person / day (by 2020); consumption in urban areas is higher, at 155.3g / person / day (2020).

Rice consumption tends to decrease. There is a growing trend in city schools to increase the consumption of soft drinks and fast foods.

The rate of stunting in children under 5 years old has reached average level

From the survey results, the rate of stunting (height / age) among children under 5 years old nationwide is 19.6%, which is ranked at the average level according to World Health Organization classification ( level below 20%).

Thus, up to now, Vietnam is on track to achieve the Global Nutrition Target (reducing 40% of child stunting malnutrition by 2025). However, there are still disparities between regions in terms of stunting rates of undernutrition. In rural and mountainous areas, this rate is still high.

Achieved height of Vietnamese youth

According to the research team, the height of Vietnamese people has significantly changed in the group of 18-year-old male youth (reaching 168.1cm in 2020, an increase of 3.7cm compared to 2010: 164.4cm), and young female (reaching 156 2cm in 2020, an increase of 1.4cm compared to 2010: 154.8cm).

The rate of overweight and obese children increases rapidly

The rate of overweight and obesity among school-age children (5-19 years old) increases from 8.5% in 2010 to 19% by 2020. In which, the rate of overweight and obesity in urban areas is 26, 8%, 18.3% in rural areas and 6.9% in mountainous areas.

The rate of stunting in school age is 14.8% (in 2010, this rate was 23.4%).

Deficiency of micronutrients

The results of the Census show that the lack of micronutrients of the Vietnamese people has improved significantly. The prevalence of preclinical vitamin A deficiency and anemia was mild in the public health significance (only for pregnant women, the rate of anemia was moderate). The incidence of preclinical vitamin A deficiency in children 6-59 months decreased. However, zinc deficiency remains high, especially in high-risk subjects such as children and mothers.

About zinc deficiency:Nationally, the rate of zinc deficiency in children aged 6-59 months decreased to 58%, in pregnant women decreased to 63.5%, but remained at a significant level of public health significance according to WHO assessment.

This rate is still very high for children aged 6-59 months in the Northern Uplands (67.7%) and Central Highlands (66.6%) and even higher for pregnant women in the mountainous areas. the North (81.9%) and the Central Highlands (63.9%).

Especially in the metropolitan area for the past 5 years (2015-2020), the rate of zinc deficiency in children 6-59 months old has a high level of public health significance (49.6%) and almost no improvement.

About Vitamin A deficiency: The prevalence of preclinical vitamin A deficiency in children aged 6-59 months across the country decreased at the mild community significance level (9.5%). This proportion is still highest in the Northern Uplands (13.8%) and the Central Highlands (11.0%).

The prevalence of preclinical vitamin A deficiency in children aged 5-9 years is 4.9%, at a mild level of public health significance as assessed by WHO.

Intervention of high dose vitamin A capsules has been implemented for many decades, but the incidence of preclinical vitamin A deficiency in children 6-59 months of age has remained mild and has decreased slowly in recent years.

About anemia: The rate of anemia among children aged 6-59 months nationwide decreased at the community significance level of 19.6%. This proportion is still highest in the Northern Uplands (23.4%) and the Central Highlands (26.3%).

Rate of anemia in children 5-9 years old (9.2%); in children 10-14 years old (8.4%), are at the level of mild public health significance according to WHO assessment.

Rate of exclusive breastfeeding in the first 6 months

According to the collected data, the proportion of infants exclusively breastfed in the first 6 months improved significantly, increasing from 19.6% (2010) to 45.4% (2020). In which, in urban areas, this rate is 55.7%, rural areas 40.3% and mountainous rural areas 42.7%.

Knowledge and practice of food safety

The proportion of people with correct food safety knowledge and practices improved significantly: 35.8% of the respondents had good knowledge; 55.6% had average knowledge and only 8.6% had poor knowledge.

Regarding food poisoning treatment: 78% of respondents choose to send patients to medical facilities for treatment compared with 44.9% in 2010; The proportion of people having access to official food safety information has also doubled compared with the 2010 survey.

Assessing the results of the implementation of the National Strategy on Nutrition for the period 2011-2020, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said that Vietnam has basically achieved the goal of reducing the malnutrition of young mothers. children.

However, we have not yet met the indicators related to improving micronutrient deficiency, overweight and obesity control in adults and some indicators related to improving capacity to implement the Strategy. .

Mr. Tuyen emphasized that, with the results of the General Nutrition Survey announced this time, we will have orientations to develop the Strategy for the new phase, specifically:

– Increasing investment in essential nutritional interventions during the 1,000 golden days, including nutrition before / during pregnancy, nutrition for breastfeeding mothers, breastfeeding and complementary food. Integrate nutritional interventions in ensuring universal health coverage.

Efforts are being made to address the rapidly growing overweight and obesity among children, adolescents and adults. An approach to the entire food system is needed in response to urbanization and the challenges of the food system, helping people access a healthy and healthy diet. There is a need to improve legislation governing food and diet systems, in conjunction with targeted poverty reduction measures and changing eating behavior among specific population groups.

– Strategic investment and system restructuring are needed to achieve greater equity among ethnic minorities and mountainous areas. At the same time, there should be specific nutritional improvement targets for ethnic minorities and disadvantaged areas.

– It is necessary to shift nutrition from being seen as a medical issue to multidisciplinary engagement and participation. Integrating nutritional strategy into the mandate of other key industries can only change with institutional reform, allowing high-level convening, engagement, and coordination across sectors to address underlying causes. of different forms of malnutrition.
