Samsung Electronics Co., the world’s largest smartphone supplier, is expected to launch new foldable smartphone models in August as it hopes to expand its leadership position in the market. global mobile.

Some foreign technology experts predict the event will take place on August 3, but it is likely that the event will take place later than expected. Some sources from Samsung said that the Korean technology giant is expected to hold an online event called “Galaxy Unpacked” right in August to introduce two Galaxy Z Fold3 smartphone models. and Galaxy Z Flip3 before officially launching these products at the end of the month. At the event, it is likely that Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Watch 4 smart watch and Galaxy Buds 2 wireless headset. Galaxy S21 FE smartphone alone will not be introduced at this event but may be. to be marketed next September or October. There is currently no confirmed information about Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone, but technology experts predict that the Galaxy Z Fold3 will have a camera hidden under the folding screen and support for the S-Pen stylus. . Particularly, the Galaxy Z Flip3 phone is expected to have a larger rear screen, sharing a protective glass layer with a pair of 3 main cameras including 2 wide-angle lenses and 1 super-wide tube on the outside, especially with a camera on the front. in front of the phone hidden under the screen. Both these foldable smartphone products are expected to be lighter in weight and cheaper in price than their predecessors. The Galaxy Watch4 smartwatch is said to use Google’s Wear OS. Samsung has also previously announced that it will develop a smartwatch platform that merges with Google. The latest report from Digitimes says that Apple’s next generation of iPhones can bring “Apple defect” back to the leading position in smartphone cameras.

According to DigiTimes, Apple has been increasing the pressure on suppliers for camera lens components. This causes orders to be expected to outpace the entire Android market. (Photo: DrTech / YouTube) Apple is said to have informed the companies responsible for the production of voice coil motors (VCMs – Voice Coil Motor) to increase their capacity. According to the report, Apple has asked related component suppliers to increase capacity by 30-40% to meet their demand. (Photo: EverythingApplePro) Sources have told DigiTimes that there will be significant upgrades in the iPhone 13’s photography technology, including Face ID’s 3D sensor and camera modules. At the same time, demand from Android manufacturers is said to have decreased, especially as US sanctions are still being applied to Huawei devices, also helping the new generation of iPhones benefit in terms of power. supply VCM components. (Photo: Apple Tomorrow / Twitter) For those who don’t know, VCM is an important component used in sensor focus setup. It is expected that shipments for iPhone will surpass in the second half of the year, as all new iPhones will be equipped with sensor anti-shake technology – which was only available on the iPhone 12 Pro Max version released last year. (Photo: AppleTrack) Recently, a report from Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives also suggested that all iPhone 13 models will have LiDAR sensors on the back, including standard non-Pro versions like the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 series.

Welcome to our Global Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Transparency Center Grand Opening. And thank you for joining us today. This is the seventh Transparency Center that we have built and we are delighted to have this opportunity to share with you what we have been working on.

Global Privacy and Transparency Center in Dongguan – China Challenge While we are increasing digitalization around the world, cybersecurity is becoming more important than ever. From the news, we’ve seen an increasing number of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, such as energy, healthcare, and transportation. These attacks have affected the lives of millions of people around the world. According to Cybersecurity Ventures, in 2021, losses from cybercrime could reach $6 trillion. This is more than the third largest economy in the world. Meanwhile, as a result of the pandemic, people are spending more time online than ever before. And I’m sure many of us will continue to work remotely, even after the pandemic. This is the new normal. And it’s more important than ever to ensure a safe and secure cyberspace. Global progress: An opportunity for improvement On a global scale, with cyber attacks on the rise, all industries are taking cybersecurity more seriously. In the public sector, new laws, regulations and standards are being applied regularly. In the past two years alone, more than 180 cybersecurity laws have been passed in 151 countries. This is amazing progress. In the telecommunications sector, industry organizations such as GSMA and 3GPP have been working closely with industry stakeholders to promote the NESAS Security Specifications and independent certifications. Mr. Ken-Hu rotating chairman of Huawei These frameworks are already widely accepted in the industry and we are confident that they will play an important role in the development and verification of secure networks. However, we still have a lot of work to do. Cybersecurity is a complex, increasingly challenging challenge that requires close cooperation and information sharing. We still lack a coordinated, standards-based approach across the industry, especially when it comes to governance, technical capabilities, certification, and collaboration. Unfortunately, in some places there is still a misconception that the country of origin of the product affects the security of equipment and network technology. This view is simply wrong. That perspective does not address the real challenges and prevents us from forming a unified approach. Our Cybersecurity Experience At Huawei, cybersecurity is our top priority. We share this responsibility with our customers to ensure that the equipment they are using is safe and secure. We are proud of what we have achieved. Over the past 30 years, we have served more than three billion people around the world. We support the stable operation of more than 1,500 service provider networks in more than 170 countries. And we’ve maintained a solid track record in cybersecurity over the years. This is the result of continued investment in cybersecurity management experience. We currently have more than 3,000 cybersecurity R&D employees, with 5% of our R&D spending focused on the security of our products. Generic Methods and Trust Building Of course, our cybersecurity systems were not developed in a vacuum. They are also the result of regular engagement, joint research and joint innovation with our customers, partners, regulators and standards organizations around the world. That’s what this Cybersecurity Transparency Center is all about. Two years ago we opened a similar Center in Brussels. At the time, I said about our ABC principle for security at Huawei: “Trust no one. Trust no one. Check everything.” My point is that trust and distrust should both be based on facts, not feelings, not speculation and not baseless rumors. We believe that data should be verifiable and that verification should be based on standards. Because this is our guiding principle, we have established 6 Cybersecurity and Transparency Centers over the past 10 years in Europe, the Middle East and North America. This center in Dongguan will serve three main functions: To exhibit solutions and share experiences. To facilitate communication and joint innovation. Provides a platform for security testing and verification. This hub is designed to support stakeholders from around the world. The Center has the best tools, testing environments and experts available to our partners, customers and industry colleagues. Here you can understand and test our products. And together, we can work more closely on security, verification and innovation standards. 3 points of view to conclude Before concluding my speech, I would like to take this opportunity to share my three quick views. The first thing is that we need to build capacity together. Cybersecurity threats are complex, diverse, and evolving. No organization can handle it all. From governance, standards and technology, to verification, we need to work together, combine strengths and build our collective capabilities. We also need to share knowledge, like the Security Fundamentals we’re releasing today and the 5G Network Security Knowledge Base deployed by the GSMA. The more knowledge and best practices we share, the more we can effectively enhance cybersecurity as a community. And finally, we need to form stronger alliances. That means governments, standards bodies and technology vendors need to work more closely together to develop a unified understanding of cybersecurity challenges. This must be an international effort. We need to set common goals, align responsibilities, and work together to build a trusted digital environment that meets the challenges of today and tomorrow. Once again, thank you for joining us today and thank you all for joining us online.

Illustration. Source: Internet. Under the impact of the pandemic, Vietnam’s e-commerce market has grown rapidly with a growth rate of 18%, reaching US$11.8 billion. Among them, e-commerce and digital payments are booming with an increasing number of users. However, there has not been much breakthrough in the value of digital payments due to consumer confidence and spending considerations amid the crisis. It is estimated that with the expected recovery of the economy after the pandemic, the value of digital payments will increase by 30% to reach $15 billion this year. According to Appota, in 2020, 121 startups have been providing fintech services. The number of digital payment startups accounted for 31%, more than twice that of peer-to-peer lending companies (16%). As of September 2020, Momo reached 20 million users, becoming the most used payment platform in Vietnam. Meanwhile, intermediary payment service provider VNPay has become the second unicorn startup and one of 12 companies in Southeast Asia valued at $1 billion. Obviously, the digital payments market is very potential but also highly competitive. Due to the implementation of social distancing measures, more and more people are staying at home and using mobile apps online. Short-form video application TikTok has reached 16 million downloads in Vietnam, becoming the latest entertainment trend of users. The market segment is expected to be more active in 2021 with the expansion of Instagram and Youtube. Meanwhile, the online games segment also recorded dizzying growth with 40% growth in revenue, new game downloads and releases reaching $205 million in 2021.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone model. Photo: GSMArena.com South Korean electronics company Samsung Electronics Co. is quietly considering launching new smartphone models in August in an attempt to expand its leadership in the mobile market, industry sources reported May 9. Samsung, the world’s largest smartphone supplier, is in talks with local mobile service providers to launch new smartphone models including the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip2 in late August. If approved, these new smartphone models will be launched earlier than usual. Industry experts say the early launch of these new smartphone models aims to fill the void of the Galaxy Note phablet line that is launched every August. Samsung hasn’t confirmed any information regarding the upcoming smartphone models, but tech experts predict that the Galaxy Z Fold3 lineup is the first smartphone that can fold the screen with under-screen camera and S-Pen stylus support. Samsung was the world’s top smartphone vendor in the first quarter of 2021 after shipping 77 million smartphones, accounting for 23% of the market share, according to market research firm Strategy Analytics.

Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC) factory in Wuhan, China. (Source: Nikkei Asian) Rise of the chip manufacturing business Once a month, senior executives from Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC) fly to Beijing for a series of meetings with China’s top economic regulators. They focused on the company’s efforts in developing some of the world’s most advanced computer memory chips. Headquartered in downtown Wuhan, YMTC is considered a pioneer in efforts to create the domestic semiconductor industry. YMTC has mass-produced state-of-the-art 64-layer and 128-layer NAND flash memory chips, which are used in almost every electronic device from smartphones to servers to cars. These things help YMTC compete with big players in the industry such as Micron Technology of the US or Samsung Electronics of Korea. Equipment used to make high-end computer chips is mostly imported in the US. Some chip design and manufacturing processes such as etching, ion implantation, electrochemical deposition, design software… are all in the hands of American companies. To manufacture without using American technology is a big challenge for a new company that has been operating since 2016 like YMTC and also represents China’s great ambition in the field of semiconductor industry development. especially after the economic sanctions that the US imposed on China. However, the dizzying rise of YMTC has shown China’s strength in the chip industry. The business started in 2016 and within four years has mass-produced some of the most advanced 3D NAND flash memory chips in the world. The Beijing government also recognizes the importance of developing the semiconductor industry and makes efforts to support these companies. “Competition for chips is increasing as all major economies, not just China, have realized the importance of chips,” said Roger Sheng, a chip analyst at consulting firm Gartner. Semiconductors”. Currently, YMTC, is still in the “target” of the US government. But under the guidance of the Beijing government, they have conducted a review of the supply chain, looking for local component suppliers, or non-US suppliers, to gradually eliminate the country’s dependence on technology. Based in the city of Wuhan, YMTC’s efforts did not stop even when the SARS-CoV-2 virus causing the Covid-19 pandemic wreaked havoc last spring. According to sources familiar with the matter, after Wuhan reopened in April 2021, YMTC mobilized hundreds of engineers stationed inside the production campus, working three shifts a day with the aim of overhauling all production processes and replace as many foreign imported components as possible. Efforts to localize production The effort to localize chip production is an opportunity for a new generation of Chinese chipmakers like YMTC. Chinese President Xi Jinping said in remarks published in January 2021: “We must strengthen self-innovation and make breakthroughs in some core technologies as soon as possible.” According to the Nikkei Asian , plans to end dependence on the US have long been carried out by China and massively invested by the state, but progress is still very slow. For example, the plan to self-produce semiconductors has a target of 70% by 2025. But of the total revenue in 2020, China’s semiconductor manufacturing enterprises account for only 5.9% of sales. domestic products, while foreign companies with headquarters in China account for the rest of sales in the country. According to the Magazine China Stocks , while the threat of sanctions from the US has always lingered, the source of state aid, with subsidies and investments from local governments and the private sector has amounted to at least 170 billion USD since Since 2014 has helped chip manufacturing enterprises to localize production efforts. In addition, orders from domestic technology giants such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Lenovo are also the reason their production is guaranteed. The US sanctions are a wake-up call for China’s semiconductor industry. (Source: Nikkei Asian) In fact, the trade war with the US and its sanctions against technology giant Huawei have given the Chinese government an opportunity to decouple from the world’s largest economy. – something they’ve always wanted. The US sanctions seem to have removed the main obstacle for domestic consumers, who always prefer to use chips from foreign suppliers. The manager of a chip maker in China told the site Nikkei Asian : “In the past, domestic chipmakers used only the manufacturing equipment that all the world’s leading chipmakers such as Samsung and Intel use in their production lines. Who wants to use and try new products without being sure of the quality of the production?” However, when sanctions from the US appeared, Chinese manufacturers considered alternatives, and domestically produced chip products were a reasonable choice. The manager emphasized: “It also means that domestic enterprises have really had the opportunity to test and upgrade their products – the goal that the whole country is aiming for.” Roger Sheng, a semiconductor analyst at Research Gartner, found that the US-China tensions confirmed the view that it was necessary to localize production. Now, the whole country agrees that building a semiconductor industry is possible and increasing self-reliance is a top priority. Unbreakable bond? Despite China’s considerable efforts, not many experts believe that the country’s chip sector will be completely separate from the US. The world’s two largest economies are still linked, dependent on each other and also two large semiconductor markets. According to a January report by the Brookings Institution, Chinese businesses account for at least 25% of the sales of most US chip businesses, and not everyone wants to break out of the market altogether. Chad Bown, an expert at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, said the US President Joe Biden’s approach to China was still unclear. On the one hand, the US expects China to buy more chips as promised in recent trade talks but also continues to restrict China’s use of US technologies. Since 2018 to date, a total of 162 Chinese entities have been sanctioned by the Trump Administration. In April 2021, the US Department of Commerce also added seven Chinese “supercomputer” entities to the economic blacklist, to restrict these businesses from using US technology. In reality, it is still difficult to completely decouple the supply of semiconductors, which involve thousands of suppliers from around the world and have been closely intertwined for decades. China may try to reduce its dependence on the United States, but without American sources of technology, it is unlikely to accelerate its technological progress. But Miin Wu, founder and president of Macronix International, a leading memory chip maker in Taiwan (China) that serves Apple, Sony and Nintendo, stressed: “In the short term, due to geopolitical uncertainties China’s technological development may be slowed down. However, in the long run, China will certainly hope to build a competitive semiconductor industry.” (according to Nikkei Asia)

Google has partnered with Western Union and Wise to enable this feature. According to Josh Woodward, Director of Product Management at Google, the company is starting to launch cross-border payments with Singapore and India, with the goal of expanding globally by the end of the year. “As we’ve done with some Google products, we’ll test, learn, iterate, and scale,” he said. Under the agreement, Western Union handles cross-border payments on Google in more than 200 countries, while Wise supports more than 80 countries. When Google Pay users in the US want to send money to someone in India and Singapore, they’ll be notified of the exact amount the recipient received. Inside the app, users can choose a provider – Wise or Western Union – and the time it takes for the money to reach the recipient. Currently, the Google Pay money transfer feature only allows US users to send money to users in India and Singapore, but not vice versa. In addition, the feature is also new to individual money transfers. Mr. Woodward shared that they chose India and Singapore first because of their importance in the remittance market. According to the World Bank, India was the largest recipient of money in the world in 2019 with more than 80 billion USD. Meanwhile, the US is the largest depositor. Du Lam (According to TechCrunch)

Illustration. Source: Internet According to the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), e-commerce has been bringing many opportunities for SMEs to boost sales and save overall transaction costs. Many violations During more than 10 years of establishment and development, the e-commerce industry has recorded rapid and continuous growth. Data from Center for Information Technology and Digital Technology, Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, in the past 5 years, the number of businesses and individuals selling goods in the e-commerce market has been increasing. The representative of the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also said that the strong growth of e-commerce is giving rise to many new problems, including transparency, customer rights assurance, e-commerce management. on social networks or cross-border e-commerce. Many organizations and individuals take advantage of e-commerce activities to trade prohibited goods and services, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, infringing intellectual property rights, poor quality goods, and limited goods. business restrictions, goods trading with conditions, expired goods, goods of unknown origin, providing false information to deceive consumers … In the long term, e-commerce activities should not be managed in the “fragmented” style, adjusted for each individual platform. Because, the more we try to control specifically each type of platform, the more small and medium technology enterprises will find it difficult to enter the market. According to the Steering Committee of 389 countries, with the explosive development of e-commerce, commercial fraud activities on e-commerce floors have also increased rapidly in both size and number of cases. In recent times, many social networks and e-commerce applications are being exploited by the objects in loopholes in legal regulations and the management of the authorities to smuggle, trade fraud and trade. sales of counterfeit goods. Analyzing more closely, Mr. Phan Trong Dat – Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) added, e-commerce trading floors often encounter risks when checking, monitoring and comparing information from suppliers. issuing and controlling the quality of goods (fake goods, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods) Supplier problems arise when the quantity and quality of goods cannot be controlled when it reaches consumers, claims about payment, advertising, and promotion. Consumers may face the risk of fraud, receiving poor quality goods, lack or lack of accurate information about the supplier, risks in payment, delivery … It is necessary to legislate current legal frameworks E-commerce is an inevitable trend today. However, the legal frameworks for e-commerce activities and social networking activities have been built mainly since 2013. But these regulations have not kept up with the trend of development, so far it is only a principle. are causing many difficulties in the application process. E-commerce activities in Vietnam are currently developing very quickly and it is difficult to distinguish e-commerce activities on e-commerce trading floors, e-commerce websites and on social networks because these platforms always have the improvement and addition of functions. function is similar. A research report by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) shows that the trend of using social networks as a marketing and distribution channel has been on the rise in recent years. Social networking platforms such as Facebook, tiktok, and Instagram are now all becoming e-commerce platforms, in addition, there is also a livestream mode to introduce goods directly to consumers. Using these platforms for sales, it is extremely difficult to control the quality of goods. A series of infringement detection cases, arrests of pirated goods, nearly full counterfeit goods were continuously discovered, such as a household warehouse in Ninh Binh with an average of 1,000 orders / day, or a warehouse of cosmetics and clothing in Ba Vi with an average of over 3,000 applications / day … According to the representative of the Market Control Department, the biggest difficulty in detecting and handling cases in the e-commerce environment is to have clear facts, must have buyers and have specific goods. While online transactions and payments are virtual, there are no business locations, making the information management force unable to check immediately. Not to mention, most of the transactions in this form do not have invoices and documents, so the detection and handling work is even more difficult. Therefore, in order to effectively control goods and transactions on e-commerce transactions, according to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan – Deputy General Director of VCCorp, 5 issues need to be clarified. First, posted goods must be managed to ensure intellectual property rights. Monday, management is entitled to impersonation. Tuesday , because if not managed, the problem of price competition will arise. Wednesday was, how to handle and remove bad news, even when needed, it is possible to extract “profiles” of sellers as well as buyers – data management. Thursday, manage tax obligations for service providers on social networks. In the long term, according to Mr. Tran Dang Quang – Institute for Policy Research and Communication Development (IPS), it is not advisable to manage e-commerce activities in the “fragmented” style, adjusted for each individual platform. Because, the more we try to control specifically each type of platform, the small and medium technology businesses and startups will face a lot of difficulties if they want to enter the market. Meanwhile, large businesses with potential and experience may have many ways to respond to the stringent conditions required by law.

A report by consulting firm Capgemini claimed that Huawei may have eavesdropped on about 6.5 million users of the KPN telecom network without their knowledge.
According to the report, Huawei employees in the Netherlands and China may have overheard calls from former Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and many opposing officials about China.

The above report was made by Capgemini for KPN, one of the largest telecommunications networks in the Netherlands, in 2010. This report was later published by De Volkskrant . Although KPN acknowledged the existence of the report, the company stated on April 19 that it “had never seen Huawei steal customer information”. This telecommunication network also affirmed that none of their partners “have the ability to access illegally or have unlimited control over the system of KPN”. Huawei also denied that: “We have never been accused of illegal acts by the government”. Huawei is one of the telecommunications equipment suppliers that have suffered the most information theft charges in Europe. Photo: Shutterstock. KPN started using Huawei’s technology in 2009. After AIVD, the Dutch domestic intelligence agency, warned of the possibility of being eavesdropped, the KPN commissioned the report. The report concludes that users of KPN “can lose confidence” in this telecommunications network “if they know that the Chinese government can monitor calls of KPN mobile numbers”. Even after receiving reports from Capgemini, KPN continued to buy technical equipment to establish Huawei’s 3G and 4G networks, according to Guardian . However, by 2020, KPN becomes one of the first telecommunications companies in Europe to exclude Huawei from its 5G network development program. Instead, KPN chose Ericsson from Sweden to coordinate the construction of its 5G network. Meanwhile, the Dutch government is also tightening regulations on telecommunications equipment suppliers, including background checks on employees with access to the network.

However, to be one of the first users, users have to pay a fee of 99 USD (about 2.3 million VND) to “book”. Payment will be made via international cards such as VISA, Master Card. The kit offered will include a Starlink satellite pan, WiFi router, power supply, cable, and rack. In case of change of mind, Starlink will refund the deposit to the user. Assoc.Prof.Dr Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Vietnam Space Center, said that Starlink is a satellite constellation project, in which thousands of small satellites are launched into low Earth orbit (abbreviated as LEO – Low Earth Orbit), located 550km from the ground. Internet signals will be shot from satellites straight down to receivers on the ground, then these devices will broadcast the signal through the local system or directly via wires connected to the customer’s Starlink router. The strength of satellite Internet is breaking down distance limits. Hilly areas, islands, complicated difficult terrain … still have simple internet access Satellite Internet works similarly to cable Internet, except that the system has more moving elements. When the customer accesses, the data request will be transferred from the computer to a satellite internet pan. This pan will broadcast a data request to a satellite orbiting the Earth. At this point, the satellite will send the received request to the ISP. The data is transmitted from the carrier to the satellite, then from the satellite to the satellite Internet pan, down to your router and into the computer. The more satellites, the more stable the signal. These satellites act like base stations, except that they are not obstructed by topographic space. Competition between suppliers According to Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, the appearance of the SpaceX provider will create fierce competition from today’s telecom businesses. However, the bigger problem is that we do not have legal bases to manage cybersecurity for foreign suppliers. Therefore, in the coming time, there will be a need to consider legal frameworks to manage network information security, avoid bad and negative information, affecting socio-economic security. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Director of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications, Hanoi University of Technology, this technology will create a big competition with network operators. Currently, Vietnam’s Internet is also relatively good, has coverage in remote areas, islands, but not as flexible as satellite Internet. Starlink is faster than optical fiber depending on the provider, but it is known that the bandwidth of the satellite Internet is very large, so it will compete greatly with current providers. The important point to compete here is the fee charged by the satellite internet provider, if it is too high, it will also be difficult to attract users. According to Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, when the entire Starlink satellite system is put into orbit, this service will provide almost global coverage to populated areas. Users using the service only need to buy a pan to catch the waves, like a pan to watch TV. As for cybersecurity, if we talk about hacker intrusions and users, each person must be equipped with tools to protect themselves. Therefore, this problem is the same as with Vietnamese carriers only. The most important thing is to have fair competition policies, otherwise this market will be lost to foreign hands According to experts, Starlink can have coverage to the country or not depending on the country’s regulations. Currently, many countries have allowed Starlink to operate, but China and Russia will require the service to comply with special rules if they allow Starlink to broadcast on their own frequencies. Some countries prohibit the purchase, sale and use of ground-mounted Starlink receivers. In Vietnam, to manage satellite Internet, it is necessary to soon have appropriate regulations. In terms of feasibility, the cost of Internet services from the orbital satellite cluster is as low as that of Starlink is still 7-8 times higher than the price of fixed broadband Internet service in Vietnam. In the case of being deployed in Vietnam, satellite Internet service will be the solution to the problem of Internet coverage in areas with divided terrain such as hills, islands … In addition, the provision of satellite Internet services using low-orbit satellite beam technology promotes the development of the maritime and aviation industries.

Domestic solutions and suppliers have advantages close to the market and have many features, fast deployment time, reasonable prices and good support services.
This is a recommendation shared by Mr. Nguyen Viet Long, Deputy General Director of Ernst & Young Vietnam at the Basic Course on Digital Transformation held on April 15 morning at the National Center for Innovation (D25 Ton That Thuyet ), organized by the Enterprise Development Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment).

Talking with enterprises participating in the course, Mr. Nguyen Viet Long said that digital transformation in enterprises is the integration and application of digital technology to improve business efficiency, management efficiency of enterprises and create new values. Digital transformation activities can range from digitizing business management data, applying digital technology to automating, optimizing business processes, management processes, and manufacturing. business, reporting processes, coordinating work within the business to transforming the entire business model, creating new value for the business.

According to Mr. Long, the breakthrough development in digital technology has allowed to provide a variety of solutions for businesses in digital transformation. As an evidence, Mr. Long said, an artificial intelligence-based chatbot in e-commerce can serve 3.5 million people / day, replacing the unmanned device that can collect and analyze resolution images. prize for oil and gas exploration in just 5 days, while before it took 8 weeks in the traditional way …

The fundamental course in digital transformation has attracted the attention of many businesses

It is forecast that about 800 million jobs will be lost due to automation by 2030, but only about 10,000 employees worldwide have enough skills for research in artificial intelligence. According to analysis from the BBC, 35% of jobs will face the risk of being replaced by robots in the next 20 years.

Therefore, Mr. Long said that digital transformation should be considered as the top priority of businesses. Enterprises also need to build a digital transformation strategy associated with the business strategy, ensuring it is consistent with the actual situation and the transformation capacity of the business.

Suggesting about building a digital transformation roadmap for businesses, Mr. Long said that, in the preparation phase, it is necessary to define strategic goals and digital transformation visions, develop a digital transformation strategy integrated into the strategy. An overview of the business is based on an assessment of the enterprise’s readiness and goals, and at the same time defining the overall architecture of the business.

Phase 1 is transforming the number of business models, in which the focus is on the application of digital technology to expand the distribution, marketing, sales channel system and improve the efficiency of customer care. In addition, it is also necessary to step by step deploy digital technology for the supply chain, apply digital technology to accounting, finance …, develop security policies.

Phase 2 is to complete and transform the number of management models, focusing on optimizing and improving management capacity, focusing on ERP, HRM systems, planning systems, job management, report…

Stage 3 is to connect business and administration, innovate and create new products and services.

Evaluating solutions, technology solution providers that help businesses transform digitally, Deputy General Director Ernst & Young Vietnam said that enterprises can prioritize to learn and use first domestic solutions, Especially, the auxiliary solutions, small and medium, solutions with the management regulations of the state.

Meanwhile, with solutions from foreign suppliers, Mr. Long said that these solutions have optimal design, good performance, scalability, but sometimes the features are not close to the market. , high costs associated with support services will be slower than domestic solutions.

Therefore, it is advisable to choose solutions that have been deployed by partners in Vietnam for better support, and at the same time take advantage of open source solutions to reduce costs.

Digital Transformation Fundamentals is an activity in the Digital Transformation Business Program for the period 2021-2025 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in cooperation with development partners, to help businesses apply the public digital technology to improve the efficiency of production and business activities, enhance capacities and competitive advantages, and create new values for businesses. The program aims that 100% of businesses will have access to information, 100,000 businesses will receive support from the Program …
