From time to time, I come across a strange feeling about Saigon, which is only possible when we are lost in a foreign land. This time when I went to a friend’s newly bought cafe in Gia Dinh park. This is the place where I used to be in the 90s, but now there is almost no familiarity. It was completely strange, so strange that it took me by surprise and immediately reminded me of the feeling I had twenty years ago…

This is the emotion that was engraved in my memory the first time I set foot at Mien Dong bus station. Lost and insecure, precarious as if walking on a bumpy slope. But the emotion in the early 90s of the last century was something full and hot, and this time it was a bit more profound. The only thing that has not changed and has become familiar is the coffee atmosphere that we can easily feel in any coffee shop in Saigon. Although I have settled in Saigon for more than twenty years, half the time in my homeland, there is no Landmark in Saigon that makes me remember much. The things imprinted in my brain are just nameless little things. For example, the General’s shrine is in a certain alley near Saigon station that I can no longer locate. The temple is just an altar in the style of Mr. Dia, located in the most spacious part of the alley. The shrine is modest, but the smoke of incense sticks out all day. Nearby is a toad cafe owned by an alley gang boss. Somehow, I got used to this “brutal” guy. Perhaps the naivety of a teenager from distant Quang Nam touched his heart? No, the reason is from the shrine. He told me that the General was “outside” everywhere. A few years ago, his junior brought back an old bag. It claimed “stealing” from an old man outside the station. Inside were only a few old clothes, a tin box containing a strange black powder. When he was depressed, another kid running from the station said that the old man was rolling around crying near death on the platform, his head was covered with blood. In the end, the senior had to go to the place to witness the incident and understand everything. That tin box contained something very sacred: remains. That old man was a son from Quang Nam who went to collect his father’s bones to bring back to his hometown and then it happened as we know it. The brothers and sisters forced the junior to return the bag and especially the tin box to the old man, but he claimed that it had already been spilled. The little black powder in the tin box was thrown down the alley, right where the General’s shrine is now. The junior thought for a while and then jumped out near the canal. After a while it brought back a pile of black soil… When the old man received his bag back, and especially when he saw that the tin box was still intact, he was as happy as if he had caught gold. As for the brothers and sisters, they found the altar and placed it right where the junior had dropped the bones. Since then, the temple has been taken care of by the whole gang, and smoked fruit incense all day. The General was also tolerant when he didn’t blame the people who pulled vertically, but also occasionally hit a few numbers. And he became famous from there. I once dared to ask “your hand” why did you call the General? “Hands and sisters” explained that to win such a lottery, it must be done by the General. The General’s Shrine and your coffee shop toads are what make me picture Saigon most vividly, in a way that nothing in this land can replace. Then there are so many places I have been, the roads I have walked, until now, I can no longer imagine. But the feeling they give me is still intact. A coffee shop toad disappeared somewhere under the floor of a building. An attractive road leading to Long An in the past, has now been replaced by a luxurious and busy urban area. Then Binh Dong wharf, which contains the development history of this land, now who has the strength to recall? But one thing that never dies is the emotion they sow in our brains. Saigon will forever be there no matter how many conspiracies across this land. For one thing, those who come first or come late, come in a friendly attitude or steal, will sooner or later be tamed by this land. As well as the very familiar coffee atmosphere that I encountered even in a strange place. We will remember the roads we have walked, and we will also remember the roads we have never walked. The emotion that Saigon sows in the souls of predestined people is immortal.

Organize Storage is always the biggest headache in the house. Neatness is not enough, how to make the house look airy, storage items must be beautiful, delicate …
 1. Sort

It is extremely important to arrange items by classification, color, and size so that they are neat. They help you never have to rummage through just to find one thing and always easily see what you’re looking for. Use clear cardboard or plastic boxes to prevent items from getting mixed up. Sort items by classification, color, size. 2. Big and small space division Instead of spreading items evenly throughout the house, divide the space big and small. The main space of the house should reduce furniture, making the space larger. Meanwhile, the storage items should be concentrated in one place, easy to find when needed, and save space. Storage items should be concentrated in one place. 3. Hide the clutter When the storage items are gathered in one place, of course this area will become very cramped and messy. Use curtains to hide the clutter and make the space feel more open. Use curtains to hide the clutter. 4. Wrapping paper for storage objects If reusing storage items such as suitcases, wooden crates, tin cans… they don’t always look good. Take the trouble to buy wrapping paper and wrap those things outside. Depending on the color of the wrapping paper you can turn them into a beautiful accent in the room. Use paper to wrap cans, wooden crates, tin boxes for reuse. 5. Take advantage of standing space What has no place to store on the ground, hang it up, from small objects like a key or as big as a bicycle, there is always a solution for you. If you know how to make use of vertical space, your house will save considerable space. And here are some suggestions for using vertical space: Behind the door: For many people, the door only works to ensure privacy, so the space behind the door is often neglected and wasted. You can fully utilize the back as an efficient storage space. Take advantage of the back of the door for efficient storage. Horizontal bars: Used to hang shoes, clothes or bags. Do not underestimate these horizontal bars, they are extremely useful. Pegboard : Perforated panels are the ultimate solution for heavy hanging objects. Not to mention, its advantage is that you can decorate and arrange the position according to your liking. If you know how to sort, pegboard Can completely become a “work of art” in the house! Note, depending on the capacity of the hanging object that drills a large or small hole, the heavier the object, the larger the hole for the hanger must be. If you know how to sort, pegboard Can completely become a “work of art” in the house! Tube length: The long tube, after being glued to the wall, can be used to store light objects such as stationery, needles…. The beautifully wrapped long tubes both help to store your belongings and beautify your home. Wall mount: Used to store clear plastic jars that you can hold 1001 things in. The wall mount is both space-saving and holds many things. Paper towel holder: Reusable tissue holder to store keys or ribbons. Smart reuse will bring convenience to your life. “Sewing” the bag for the wall Empty walls are a great storage space if you know how to use them. 6. Label the boxes Store unused or rarely used items in boxes, wicker bins or simply cardboard or plastic bins. Notes and labels for each type of box/box. Even when stacking boxes of all kinds on top of cabinets or in storage, you won’t have to worry about messing up your search if you label and label them carefully from the beginning. 7. Use trays with dividers, compartments Divide compartments in drawers to store things more scientifically, allowing separate, unmistakable items to be stored, making it easy to find when needed. Keeping things apart will help keep items separate, unmistakable, making it easy to find when needed. The trays will help you store your sundries neatly.

Although the number of Kalmyk people who keep their nomadic lifestyles as their ancestors is decreasing, this ethnic group still preserves almost intact traditional cuisine. Kalmykia cuisine leans towards meat and dairy dishes, energy-rich dishes that help nomadic people easily survive on the Central Asian steppes.

The Kalmyk mainly eat beef and lamb. They have a very unique way of cooking meat called khorkhog. Men will cut the flesh into pieces, leaving the bones intact. Then they put the meat in a tin or aluminum jar with vegetables, hot water and ice. While they rode on the grasslands all day, the stones would boil pieces of meat. So they had a plate of casserole when they stopped for lunch. Before the long trip or the coming winter, people prepare kyur dried meat again. They skillfully slaughter a cow or a sheep so that the whole meat of the animal fits its whole heart. The cook will dig a hole, fill it with coal, wood or dry manure, and burn it to ash. While the ash in the pit is still hot, the heart will be lowered and covered with ash. The men will fill the hole with earth and continue to light the fire above. The result is a piece of dried meat that is both soft and flavorful. Life on horseback has taught the Kalmyk not to give up any part of the animal. They especially value sheep and beef offal. The dotur soup that every family eats is made from sheep’s heart cooked with onions and a variety of herbs. Another favorite dish of shepherds and shepherds is semjer orasn elkn. This dish is made from beef liver or lamb liver wrapped in fat membrane that is scraped from the animal’s heart and then grilled over charcoal fire. Like other Central Asian peoples, the Kalmyk also drink milk tea. Drinks made of tea leaves, milk, butter, salt and nutmeg powder both keep warm and add energy to people. Sometimes they even put lamb fat in the tea. In the summer, the Kalmyk people often make yogurt kumys from sheep or horse milk. Scientists have proven that the probiotics in kumys have a very good effect on protecting the respiratory tract.
