The “Mars Monkey” and the articles of that time are still on display at the museum of the Georgia State Bureau of Investigation. However, that night was different. They saw a strange creature, seemingly a dead alien… The incident was shocking, but the truth later made the public even more surprised. Strange creatures cause panic “Mars Monkey” once caused panic in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. On July 8, 1953, Sherley Brown and her teammates drove along the Bankhead Highway outside the town of Austell, Georgia, USA, patrolling as usual. When they came to a bend, they had to stop because a pickup truck stopped in the middle of the road, next to them were three men looking very excited and scared. When Brown got out of the car to find out what had happened, he learned it was two barbers named Ed Watters and Tom Wilson, and the other had a butcher’s shop named Arnold Payne. All three live in the town of Austell. They were excited, arguing with each other. After being reassured, they reported the incident. It turned out that this was not a murder as the two police officers initially thought. They said, while driving along a quiet country road and turning a bend, they saw a bright red flying saucer hovering over the asphalt. When they slowed down to take a closer look, they were surprised to see two strange creatures about 60 cm tall lurking in the bushes, then one rushed out in front of their truck and was hit, while the other one rushes onto the swooping flying object. The flying saucer then emitted a blue light and sped away into the night, shooting flames that blazed across the pavement. They also testified that when they stopped the car, they saw the strange creature lying dead on the road. Brown didn’t believe this, until they showed him evidence that the highway pavement was indeed melted to a very high temperature and still had a strange creature on it. Brown noticed that the animal had no hair, pale body, contorted head and large round eyes. It looked disgusting and clearly out of this world, so Brown was forced to admit the three were telling the truth and immediately report the incident to headquarters. It didn’t take long for the story of UFOs and alien corpses to go viral. Soon after the police headquarters was reported, the Air Force and dozens of others claimed to have seen lights in the sky and strange creatures running back and forth that night. When the incident made headlines the next day with many images of the dead creature, many believed that there was an actual alien invasion. A local veterinarian, after examining the body of the strange creature, declared it “out of this world”, causing further panic among the public. The work of jokers The “Mars Monkey” and the articles published at the time are now on display at the museum of the Georgia State Bureau of Investigation. Not long after, the creature known as the “Mars monkey” was brought to Emory University, Atlanta to be examined by Dr. Herman Jones and Dr. Marion Hines, two professors of anatomy. And the result caused a stir in public opinion. It turns out that this is not a “Mars monkey” or an alien creature, but just an ordinary monkey, a rhesus monkey to be exact, which has been shaved and colorfully embellished to look. monstrous compared to reality. Three men who claimed to have run over the aliens then confessed that it was all a joke but didn’t expect it to get out of control. Accordingly, after stumbling upon a dead monkey, they brought it home to shave and cut off its tail, and then paint it with some green food coloring to increase the strangeness. After being satisfied with the “work”, they took it to the highway and used a torch to burn the asphalt to create circles like a melted UFO track. Even after these confessions were made public, it took a while for people to calm down and accept that they were tricked and that no aliens invaded. Meanwhile, the three jokers mentioned above were only convicted by the court of dumping animal carcasses causing unsanitary and obstructing highways, forcing them to pay a fine of 40 USD. After the trial, letters rushed to the local newspapers, demanding that these people be prosecuted before the law for cruelty to animals. Some even suggested shaving the head of the mastermind. However, a reader in Jacksonville, Florida wrote: “Don’t be too hard on these boys. They have done a meaningful job by making many people realize that they are still living in dark times of superstition and believing in unrealistic things.” Others said that the above incident proves that hoaxes with the inadvertent help of the media sometimes create an uproar. This happens all the time even in modern times, forcing us to stay awake and see strange things with the eyes of a difficult person. The incident that caused panic eventually subsided, and the “Mars monkey” was later owned by a small museum of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, where it was displayed along with articles published in August. at that moment.

After many days of drought, dry land, withered leaves, cracked fields, in the evening of the last day of the third lunar month, suddenly there was a thunderstorm, strong wind, thunder and lightning, the sky was torn by blue lightning. shining zigzag.

Suddenly there was an ear-piercing explosion, like a bomb. I’m sure lightning knocked down some big tree in my village. I was pale, just afraid that the innocent coconut tree towering in front of my yard would also be punished by God. Rain started to fall. My whole village was immersed in the first rain of the season, also known as the summer rain. Torrential rain, torrential rain, showers of drains. I was excited to rush out to the yard to shower in the rain, bathe naked, take a bath like that, it would be nice. I stood in the middle of the yard, immersed in the rain, the rain pouring down on my head, my hair soaking wet, the rain running down my cheeks. I could not rub my face. I raised my face to the sky, letting the rain fall directly on my face, so that I could feel the same joy of showering. And yet, I lay on my stomach on the brick yard, let the rain water water my bare back, then I turned over, let the rain fall on my stomach, so that I could be satisfied, that I was “full of rain.” “. Next, I ran to the far end of the yard, plugging the drain. About five minutes later, God gave me a free rainwater swimming pool. Although this pool water is only up to my knees, it is enough for me to swim, dive, swim, swim on my back on the brick floor that is just a normal rice drying yard. I am happy, I am delighted, I am happy, I scream, I scream loudly under the cool first rain of the season that is covering my village. These are the sublime moments of my childhood, when me and nature, me and heaven and earth were intertwined and intertwined. Rainwater flows abundantly, slick, flooding villages, fields and gardens. The air became cooler, people, animals and plants were refreshed, craving more than usual. We still call the first rain of the season the “rain of frogs”. Only about half an hour after this “lucky” rain, all over my village, in the garden, in the fields, echoes of the hum, the croak, the chorus of male frogs calling for their mates. That was also the signal telling me, let’s go to the frog, that is, shine the torch to find and catch frogs (“man frog” is the language of my village, many locals call it “soi frog”). I quickly put the bamboo basket on my waist, lit a torch made of dry bamboo and bamboo that had been built up in the corner of the kitchen for a long time. And I aim for the fields, where the echoes of the male frogs croak to call for a mate. I lit the torch, watched, and one by one I saw frogs embracing each other in the rain puddles in the field. I just reached out and grabbed a pair of frogs who were in love, no longer knowing what heaven and earth were, and put them in the basket deliciously. Frogs have a very respectable “quality”, that is, once they are mates, they are determined not to leave each other. Even when she spotted me, the female frog still tried to carry her partner, the male frog, on her back, jump around and run away together. They live and die together, no matter how strong, everyone runs. Looking back now, I somewhat regret it, willing to destroy the climaxing love of the “frog lovers” in the cool and romantic summer night, the innocent and harmless frogs. People say “hundreds of torches can catch frogs”, but for me, on the first rainy night of the season, with favorable weather conditions, just one torch was enough to catch more than a dozen frogs. It was a normal thing in the past, in the 50s of the last century, but now it is impossible to dream, because where are the natural frogs in a toxic environment full of pesticides and chemicals. . Copper frog meat, that is, natural frog meat, not farmed frogs, is delicious and nutritious, so you probably won’t even know it. Especially the fried frog with lemongrass and chili, or the frog braised with banana and beans (my mother often cooks and I love it). As for the dish and stir-fried frog with bamboo shoots, every drinker will say it’s a top favorite, if not unique…

In recent days, the online community has been gossiping about the “Statue of Liberty” “Pha ke” version in Sa Pa. After many days of causing noise, the Sa Pa town government set up a working group to preliminary check the area where the statue is placed.

The statue “The Statue of Liberty” version of “phase ke” in Sa Pa caused fierce controversy. It is known that this “mutant” Statue of Liberty is made of plaster and cement, inside with a steel frame, the height is 30m. In addition, at this spontaneous tourist area also appears a copy of Mount Rushmore sculpture, portraits of four former US presidents. Recently, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dong, the tourist destination with the “mutant” Statue of Liberty, said that the unit will repair the statue in a direction closer to the local culture. Specifically, the given idea is to edit the image of a H’Mong man. The crown part of the old statue will be replaced by the typical H’Mong men’s beret. In addition, the torch in the hands of the Statue of Liberty will turn into a khene, a type of national musical instrument associated with local traditions and culture. The image of the man blowing khene attached to the H’Mong culture. Therefore, the modification of the statue from the Statue of Liberty to an image of a close H’Mong man, suitable for the local culture “- Mr. Dong shared with the press. However, Mr. Dong also affirmed that the tourist area’s decision to edit the statue was not because of being stoned by the public, but he wanted the place to be completed and more beautiful. .

Selected data on April 23 Tesla announced the accident vehicle data again late at night Tesla re-issued a document on the 22nd night, saying that it fully accepts the decisions of the State Administration of Market Supervision and the Zhengzhou City Market Supervision Administration, and does its best to actively cooperate with all relevant investigations, and earnestly fulfill its main responsibility for quality and safety, and provide consumers with High-quality and safe products and services. Tesla said that as of April 21 so far, it has provided complete driving data half an hour before the accident, and has proactively contacted relevant parties to communicate and report the relevant situation on many occasions. (China News Service) The torch relay of the Tokyo Olympics is now the first person infected with the new crown, a male police officer NHK reported on April 22 that the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced that a male police officer who had participated in the traffic control work of the Olympic torch in Xiangshan County on April 17 tested positive for the new crown. This is the first time a new crown-infected person has appeared among the staff of the Tokyo Olympic torch relay. The infected person is a male police officer in his 30s from the Transportation Department of the Takamatsu Kita Police Station. According to reports, during the course of his duty, the police officer did not have any contact with people along the torch relay. (Overseas Network) In the first quarter, Shanghai’s per capita income exceeded 20,000 yuan, and the per capita income of eight provinces exceeded the national level From the data point of view, in the first quarter of this year, the top ten provinces with per capita disposable income of residents were Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Guangdong, Fujian, Shandong, Chongqing and Liaoning. Among them, the per capita disposable income of residents in the first eight provinces exceeds the national average, and these eight provinces all come from the eastern coastal areas. The per capita disposable income of Shanghai residents reached 21,548 yuan in the first quarter, making it the only province with more than 20,000 yuan. As Shanghai has a large number of multinational companies and financial institutions such as the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the headquarters economy, R&D and innovation are very prominent, which attracts a large number of talents, and these groups have higher incomes. (China Business News) The British government cuts 95% of aid to China, leaving 900,000 pounds Recently, British Foreign Minister Raab announced that in this fiscal year’s official development assistance funds, aid to China will be cut by 95%, leaving less than 1 million pounds. The Conservative Government has boldly stated that it will allocate 0.7% of the country’s income every year for international aid. According to the British “Mirror” report, due to the impact of the new crown natural disaster, the anti-epidemic “man-made disaster” and the economic shock of Brexit last year, this expenditure will be reduced to 0.5% this fiscal year. The US “Politician” News Network added that one-third of the UK’s official development assistance funds are still invested in the “Indo-Pacific” and South Asia. The aid funds to China will be cut by 95%, leaving 900,000 pounds (approximately 8.13 million yuan) to fund open society and human rights projects. Some netizens on Weibo ridiculed that the British aid is not as good as the one-year revenue of some Internet celebrity shops in Changsha. In July last year, the British Department of International Development announced that the British government directly and indirectly provided assistance to China of 71.6 million pounds in 2018. (Observer Network) South Korea imported kimchi in the first quarter from China Yonhap News Agency recently reported that the export value of kimchi in the first quarter of this year was 46.57 million U.S. dollars, breaking a single-season export record. Imports amounted to 38.5 million U.S. dollars, and the trade balance achieved a surplus of 8.068 million U.S. dollars, the highest since April 2009. According to reports, the export value of kimchi in the first quarter of this year increased by 54.3% year-on-year, and the import value increased by 7.4%. From the perspective of import and export volume, the export volume was 11,181 tons and the import volume was 67,940 tons. Exported kimchi was US$4,165 per ton, much higher than the US$567 of imported kimchi. All imported kimchi originates from China. From the perspective of the kimchi export market, exports to Japan were US$24.72 million, an increase of 67.9% year-on-year, exports to the US were US$8.46 million, an increase of 80.6%, and exports to Hong Kong were US$2.34 million, an increase of 50.3%.

It is a small temple, nestled among four green rice fields. The entrance to the temple is quite winding, meandering, winding like a giant snake crawling on its prey.
advertisement

It took about 2 kilometers to reach the gate. Will not disappoint people to admire, worship, because the pagoda is small but ancient and majestic.

Remember when I was a child, on the full moon day, my whole family used to take each other to the temple to pray for peace. Although the house is about 4 kilometers away from the pagoda, for our villagers, that distance is unharmed. We used to walk mainly because in the past my village was very poor. Only a few people are quite new to the pagoda. The rest are on foot.

We usually visit the temple in the evening. Because during the day, adults are still busy with farmwork until dusk before carrying out their hoes. Should always go to the temple around 7-8 pm. Although the moon was bright and shining, everyone was armed with torches and torches and did not forget to bring a matchbox. Simply entering the street with the shade of trees, or for those who are afraid of the darkness of the night, thinking around, a bundle of torches is a great savior.

When I went to the temple, I was afraid of getting lost, so my father always carried me or carried me. I still vividly remember the innocent questions: “Mommy, I’m kneeling like this, right? How many amnesty? What am I supposed to do? Then I was led by my parents around the temple to pray to the La-Han, Bo-slaps. When we were about to leave, we went to the front yard of the pagoda to kneel at the feet of Quan The Am Mother … The departure was quite boring. In the crimson torchlight of a full-moon night, I sleep on my back for a while.

Remember the times when we went back to the temple to go back to school, the whole group of us pulled together to go to the temple to ask for fruit picking. The pagoda planted many fruit trees, plums, breast milk, longan, guava … But because monks did not pick up in time, ripe fruits often fell on the yard. “You mustn’t break flowers, break that tree. In the Buddha’s vow, please pick the monk and pick “. You guys listen to me. Since my family used to do gong work at the temple, the monks all knew my face. Without asking, the monk said: “You keep picking it naturally. But don’t climb that fall. Behind there is a bamboo stick, back to pick it up ”. Said and then turned inside. We are very happy, picking as much as we want and then eating at the base. When it was time to feel bad, about to hurry home, the monks told me to have vegetarian rice. The delicious vegetarian meal was delicious, even though it was just vegetables, but each of us had three cups. The old monk laughed, a gentle smile: “You should come to the temple to play comfortably, but remember not to climb up and bring the painting. Sunday without school, the children come here to teach solemnity, normal activities to help parents … ”.

Then that beautiful, innocent childhood also passed. As fast as the peaceful smile of the monks at the temple. Every time I go home, I take a little time to visit the temple. The temple is still ancient, mossy as ever. Still lotus pond, plum tree, apricot root, canopy radiate cool. But the old monks that year passed away. The young monks are now full of arms and legs. I always remember the abbot’s saying: “Human life is very impermanent, my son! Live in a way that benefits yourself, your family, your society and don’t hurt anyone. Because it hurts them to hurt themselves. That pain endures a lifetime. Do not let the next day regret what I did today… ”. It is these truthful statements that have helped me to live a life worth living, lovingly in this Ta-Bà realm.

The decision was made 100 days before the Tokyo Olympics opened and amid growing concerns about the possibility of hosting the event as the number of cases is increasing inside and outside Japan.

Ehime Provincial Governor Tokihiro Nakamura said emergency health services in the region are under great pressure due to a sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. As a result, the authorities will cancel the torch procession in Matsuyama. Instead, they will hold a torch celebration without the participation of the audience, and tokyo Olympic organizers have also approved the decision.

The torch procession departed March 25 from Fukushima Prefecture in northeastern Japan and is scheduled to pass through a total of 47 prefectures before the opening of the Olympics on July 23. As planned, this torch will pass through Matsuyama City on April 21. Earlier, osaka authorities did not hold torchlight processions on the streets. Instead, torch-carrying athletes ran through an empty park due to the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases there.

According to statistics, Japan has recorded a total of more than 513,000 infections and more than 9,500 deaths from COVID-19. Notably, the total number of cases in tokyo is more than 126,000, the highest level in the country. Last week, the Government of Japan decided to allow the governments of Tokyo, Kyoto Prefecture and Okinawa Prefecture to adopt key epidemic prevention measures amid signs of a strong OUTBREAK of COVID-19. The measures are expected to be lifted in Kyoto and Okinawa prefectures on May 5, and in tokyo on May 11.

In the context of the complicated situation, on the same day, Tokyo Mayor Yuriko Koike pledged to effectively control the COVID-19 epidemic in the capital to ensure the upcoming Olympics take place safely. She stressed that between now and May 11, it will be an important period to win the fight against COVID-19 before the Olympics take place.

Meanwhile, John Coates – chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the body responsible for overseeing the preparations – expressed confidence that the Tokyo Olympics will undoubtedly take place this summer. According to him, the current anti-epidemic measures will help ensure the safety of people, athletes and other participants.

In order to minimize the risk of spread, last month, the Government of Japan officially decided not to allow foreign audiences to enter the country to watch events at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. Foreign professional athletes and coaches will be quarantined immediately after arriving in Japan. Testing for these subjects will be conducted every 3-4 days, and individuals who test negative for 14 days of quarantine can participate in training and competition with teammates.

Tokyo Olympic organizers are entering the final stages of preparation. Five agencies in charge of organizing, including the IOC and the Tokyo city government, are planning to convene a meeting before the end of April to decide how many people will be allowed into the competition area.
