The ongoing 2022 World Cup qualifier is also the occasion of the start of Euro, which has attracted a large number of people watching the matches.
In particular, the epidemic situation caused concentrated viewing spots such as cafes, restaurants … to not operate, leading to an increase in demand for home viewing. This is a good opportunity for electronics manufacturers to sell TVs, projectors, etc., which have been in stock since last year.

According to the survey, electronics centers and supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City have just launched many attractive incentive programs for television products to stimulate purchasing power. For example, with the program “Supporting Vietnam straight into the World Cup 2022” or “Brilliant with O Ro 2021”, Dien May Xanh system strongly reduced TV prices from 30% to 41%. Accordingly, the 65-inch LG 4K TV UN7290 PTF reduced from 26 million VND / unit to 16 million VND / unit, LG 4K 55Nano 79TND reduced from 24 million VND to 14 million VND / unit, Sony 4K KD-75X90004 from 50 million VND 35 million VND/unit. Similarly, Cho Lon electronics supermarket has programs: “Fire the victory, the TV discount burns up to 50%” and gifts up to 15 million VND, “Welcome Euro – Super product procession, receive big gifts” . Accordingly, the 70-inch Samsung 4K TV UA70TU7000 has the original price of 36.4 million VND/unit, reduced to 16.9 million VND/unit; LG Oled 4K 55 inch 55CXPTA reduced from 60 million VND / unit to 29 million VND / unit; VTB 4K 49 inch reduced from 9 million VND to 4.9 million VND / unit. Many promotions for TV products in the Euro season mùa Other systems such as Thien Hoa, Nguyen Kim also have preferential programs, discounting from 31%-50%. In addition, consumers are looking to buy projectors to watch football with larger and more attractive screens. The machine with the price of 3-5 million VND / unit is the most sought after by users because it is cheap and has a number of specifications. Many models priced at about 7-8 million VND are also quite attractive because they are introduced with many features and clear projection quality. Mini smart projectors, portable projectors with a selling price of just over 1 million VND are also sold out because of their convenience, can connect directly to mobile phones, catch WiFi… Meanwhile, the main projector The company costs up to tens of millions of dong, so buyers are picky. Mr. Trinh Van Hao – owner of an electronics repair shop in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City – noted that cheap projectors are mostly Chinese products, the specifications are “virtual”, so the quality is not high, lacking many functions. . Therefore, consumers should consider before deciding to buy a projector for watching international matches because it costs money and does not achieve the desired image quality.

Surely each of us when buying a smart TV also spends a few minutes to check the Settings section of the device. Many people often think that activating the Sharpness feature will help sharper, more beautiful images.

Customize sharpness parameters on smart TVs. Photo: Lifewire However, the reality is not so, on most smart TVs today, the Sharpness feature only has the effect of “edge enhancement” (simply speaking, expanding the border), and this can reduce some small details on the picture. That’s why you should reduce the Sharpness parameter to less than 20% or less (possibly 0). On the left is the original image, and on the right is the Sharpness enhanced image. It’s not hard to notice that the image on the right has some extra halos around the subjects, which is what the Sharpness feature brings. Normal image and Sharpness boosted image. Photo: CNET This basically makes objects easier to see, but they also make other areas grainy. In fact, the image that has not been sharpened will be softer, helping you to see small textures on the walls, facial pores, etc. Note, if you are using a 4K TV, users will not be able to receive it. See the difference when increasing and decreasing the Sharpness parameter. In short, to get the best visual experience when watching TV, the easiest way is to switch to Movie mode, or you can tweak the Sharpness parameter to 0-20%.

In 2020, VinSmart has sold nearly 2 million mobile phones, an increase of more than 200% compared to the previous year’s sales and accounting for nearly 13% market share in Vietnam.
Established in June 2018, VinSmart is one of the two main companies operating in the manufacturing division of Vingroup, along with car and electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast.

This manufacturing company now owns a phone and electronic equipment factory with an annual design capacity of 125 million devices. In the most recent year (2020), VinSmart said it sold 1.95 million smartphones to the market, up 225% compared to 2019 sales (600,000 units). One of the two production components of Vingroup With record-high phone sales, VinSmart also became the third largest smartphone supplier in the domestic market with 12.7% market share. This is the first time a Vietnamese phone brand is in the top of the largest manufacturers and consumers in the market. VinSmart sold more than 1.95 million smartphones to the domestic market and exported 1.3 million units in 2020. Photo: Gemini. Notably, in addition to selling phones in the domestic market, in the past year, VinSmart also for the first time recorded revenue from outsourcing and manufacturing original equipment for foreign partners. In it, the company said it had signed a contract and started exporting smartphones to US carriers and foreign customers, with an output of 1.3 million units last year. Returning to the domestic market, VinSmart has now launched 18 smartphone models in the segments from popular to high-end. In addition, this manufacturer has also begun to expand its product portfolio to other electronic devices such as electronic components, air purifiers, etc. In 2020, VinSmart has also become a partner for manufacturing components. blower components for Medtronic PLC ventilators, exported to the US and Ireland. In addition to the production of phones and electronic devices, VinSmart is also the enterprise in charge of building a technology ecosystem for Vingroup’s real estate projects with three core products, including Smart city (member of Vingroup). smart city), Smart home (smart home) and Smart services (digital services). Currently, VinSmart is the contractor in charge of deploying smart city solutions in all 3 major urban areas of Vinhomes including Vinhomes Ocean Park, Vinhomes Smart City (Hanoi) and Vinhomes Grand Park (HCMC). Manufacturing is not prioritized? In the latest announcement, Vingroup announced that it will close VinSmart’s TV and mobile phone production segments to focus on developing high technology for VinFast. This move follows after Vietnam’s largest private group had to withdraw from a series of previous business activities to focus on industry and technology. In fact, although it is one of the two components forming the production division of Vingroup, VinSmart’s activities are always invested much less than VinFast. Specifically, in terms of both investment scale and business results, VinSmart is still very modest compared to car and electric vehicle manufacturers with the same owner. According to the separate financial report of parent company Vingroup in the first quarter, the original value of Vingroup’s investment in VinSmart is estimated at nearly VND 5,000 billion, an increase of more than VND 2,000 billion compared to the beginning of the year. However, this figure is less than a quarter of the value of Vingroup’s investment in VinFast, reaching VND 22,007 billion at the same time. The scale of investment and production activities of VinSmart is much smaller than that of VinFast. Photo: Hoang Ha. Despite being one of two subsidiaries that received additional capital through direct investment in the first quarter, the value of Vingroup’s investment in VinSmart is currently only fifth and much lower than other businesses like Vinhomes (22,981 Billion); VinFast (22,007 billion); Vinpearl (16,992 billion); Vincomerce Holding (5,928 billion). In previous years, the investment in VinSmart was also in the middle and low group of Vingroup’s long-term financial investments in subsidiaries. Regarding business results, because VinSmart’s operating report has not been published in detail, the company’s revenue and profit is still accounted for in the production department along with VinFast. In 2020, the revenue of Vingroup’s production division (including VinFast and VinSmart) reached over VND 18,000 billion, an increase of more than 80% compared to 2019. In which, the leader of this group said revenue increased sharply in the year. thanks to increased sales of cars and smartphones. However, as planned by the leadership of this group continuously, Vingroup’s production division in the same year had a pre-tax loss of nearly VND 14,000 billion. In the first quarter of this year, manufacturing was also one of Vingroup’s high-growth business divisions along with real estate. Revenue from this activity brought the group a total of VND4,825 billion, up 44% over the same period. However, the business results report by division of Vingroup said that this business segment still has a pre-tax loss of 4,814 billion. With the cessation of smartphone and television production, in the coming time, VinSmart will focus mainly on high-tech development for VinFast and partly on Vinhomes’ real estate projects. In addition, part of the factory will be used to process for partners, the rest will be expanded and adjusted to produce new products.

The battle between OLED TV technology and QLED TV is quite fierce in the market.
In Vietnam, consumers can experience OLED TVs from Sony, LG and QLED TVs from Samsung and TCL. Worldwide, QLED TVs are mainly found in the brands Samsung, TCL and Hisense. Meanwhile, OLED TVs are wider, besides LG and Sony, there are also Panasonic and Philips (UK), Vizio (US), Loewe, Bang & Olufsen, Skyworth and ChangHong.

In terms of resolution, color, video processing, and image quality factors, the OLED and QLED technologies are essentially the same. However, OLED TVs excel in image quality uniformity, especially the contrast and depth of black. According to some experts, there is hardly a noticeable difference in picture quality between OLED TVs at different price points. The OLED display also has the advantage of thinness over the QLED, mainly due to the lack of backlighting. The downside of current OLED TVs is that the price is too expensive and the screen is darker than the QLED (1,000 nits versus 2,000 nits). According to What Hi-Fi ?, currently on the market, the OLED TV does not have a small or extremely large screen size, with the smallest being 55 inches and the largest being 88 inches. The 48-inch OLED TV first appeared in 2020 with the LG OLED48CX, but was priced not much lower than the 55-inch OLED TV. Meanwhile, in QLED TVs, the picture quality varies depending on the technology (mainly in terms of lighting) and the market price. QLED TVs are brighter than OLED TVs. The screen size of the QLED TV is also varied, from 32-100 inches. The most important advantage of QLED TVs is the cheaper selling price compared to OLED TVs. In Vietnam, Sony 55 inch 4K OLED TV (XR-55A9G) costs about VND 54.8 million and LG 55 inch 4K OLED TV (OLED55B1) costs about VND 49.8 million. Meanwhile, Samsung 55 inch 4K QLED TV depending on its life price ranges from VND 18.4 million (QA55Q65) to VND 36.9 million (QA55Q95). With the TCL branding, the 55-inch 4K QLED TV costs 21 million dong (55C725). According to some market researchers, OLED technology is improving, especially in terms of brightness (which will appear on 2021 models). The price of OLED TVs is also expected to drop further with the efforts of LG, the sole maker of OLED TV panels today. LG is actively selling OLED panels to other TV manufacturers such as Sony, Panasonic, and Philips to help increase production volume (thereby reducing costs). The more affordable, less than 50-inch OLED TVs may soon be brought to the market to offer a variety of choices for users. What Hi-Fi? says OLED also struggles to achieve the highest brightness levels of an average QLED TV. Even ultra-bright OLED models like the LG OLED65G1 and Panasonic TX-55HZ2000 have a hard time getting half the brightness of today’s flagship QLED TVs. Meanwhile, as the leading producer of QLED, Samsung is constantly improving this display technology. That’s why on the 2021 TV list, Samsung added Neo QLED and microLED. However, this innovation has made the cost of the new TV higher, not far from the OLED TV. While QLED TVs are working hard to achieve the same quality as OLED, OLED TVs are looking for ways to gain advantages like QLED (brightness, size …). In terms of price, the gap between OLED TVs and QLED TVs is being reduced thanks to two seemingly opposite trends: the decrease in the cost of OLED TVs and the increase in the cost of QLED TVs. However, consumers are only concerned with the picture quality, features and utilities of the TVs sold at the store and especially the price. When the image quality is almost the same, the advantage will belong to the brand with a beautiful design, many convenient features and an affordable price.

On April 16, VIC supported the market in a ‘fiery red day’, similar to many recent sessions. VIC’s biggest ‘ally’ is NVL.

VIC supported the market again, the VN-Index only lost more than 8 points although the red color covered three-quarters of stocks on the HoSE

VN-Index on April 16 was like going on a roller coaster when sometimes “hitting a hammock” decreased by 20 points compared to the beginning of the session. However, this index then quickly recovered, ending at 1,238.71 points, down 8.54 points, or 0.68%.

Although it only dropped by more than 8 points, if looking at the general picture on HoSE, the situation is much more tragic. There were 355 losers on the floor, equivalent to 3/4 of the stocks on the floor. The number of advancers was only 81, while the number of unchanged stocks was 36.

This session, VIC supported the market again, similar to many sessions in the past. VIC’s biggest “ally” during the session was also a real estate stock: NVL.

In fact, NVL is the most impressive stock in the market recently when it recorded 12 consecutive gaining sessions, dragging the stock price up from 79,500 VND / share to 108,000 VND / share, or up to 36. %. Particularly in the session of April 16, the market price of this stock increased by 5.37%.

Not only VIC and NVL, BCM also impressed with a ceiling gain. Meanwhile, PDR surged 5.03%. These are the 4 stocks that have the most positive influence on the index, as well as 4 real estate stocks. In addition, FLC and ROS also participated in the top 10 stocks that positively affected the index.

The remaining real estate stocks are generally less positive.

For the banking group, the overall situation was tragic. Except for SSB, EIB and LPB, the remaining stocks all fell quite sharply, most of them lost about 1-3% in value.

Securities group was even more miserable when the red color covered. SSI down 2.44%, VCI down 1.83%, HCM down 3.03%, AGR down 3.69%, TVS down 2.97% …

For manufacturing groups, the green color was light in HPG and MSN with a slight increase, respectively 0.18% and 0.1%, the rest fell mostly, of which VNM plunged 2.22%, SAB fell. 1.51% while GVR decreased to 4.32%.

The situation is also not so good for aerospace and energy stocks. VJC and HVN decreased by 2.05% and 1.9% respectively. GAS stood still at reference price, POW decreased by 1.49% while PLX increased 2.94%.

The matched liquidity on the HoSE was at a very high level, up to over 20,000 billion VND.
