Louis Moinet watch collection contains the beauty of 8 great wonders for $ 2.7 million.

On April 13, Louis Moinet posted a picture of a set of 8 world wonders watches. According to Monochrome, all are handcrafted with techniques of drawing, carving, glazed and studded to create a detailed look for each piece.

The details of the Taj Mahal (India) are painted on the surface of white marble. The case of the watch is hand-engraved with the motif of the Taj Mahal, while the bezel contains the distinctive patterns of the Mughal Empire. According to Watch I Love, wonders on the watch are chosen by Jean-Marie Schaller, CEO Louis Moinet after traveling around the world.

On this watch, the central part of the Colosseum (Italy) is an onyx quartz, surrounded by a symmetrical strip of sapphire arranged in a rainbow color. The ladder of the building is engraved and polished.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Turkey), also known as the Blue Mosque due to wall tiles, the interior is blue. The church is depicted on a mother-of-pearl mosaic dial, meticulously carved to simulate the various details, shades of green, and the surrounding scenery.

Petra is an ancient city in western Jordan. To simulate the work, the artisans of Louis Moinet combined three techniques: carving, drawing grisaille and distinctive fresco (painted on fresh plaster, which requires skill, precision and high speed). The white gold case is decorated with relief technique, the motifs symbolize strength and wealth.

Khufu (Egypt) version with a dial cut from Willow Creek Jasper rock. On the watch, the pyramid body is made of gold, covered with enamel particles heated to the right temperature to maintain the shape. The top of the pyramid is engraved with gold, polished to create the effect. The image of King Khufu is made of black and gold basalt. The watch case features distinctive motifs.

The version of the Great Wall (China) is depicted in the image of a golden dragon, surrounding a path made of jade. The blue gradient behind is studded with 129 sapphires with many shades of blue and 11 diamonds. This arrangement creates a height effect, showing the strength of the dragon.

Statue of Christ the Redeemer (Brazil) handcrafted on a yellow background, facing the blue glazed sea background. The surrounding colorful houses are also painted and glazed. The case of the watch consists of a coffee leaf and tobacco tree motif, 2 images appear in the coat of arms of Brazil.

Machu Picchu is an ancient city from the fifteenth century, now in Peru. The artisans of Louis Moinet take the sun as the center, surrounded by 4 birds of the eagle, the national symbol of Peru, meticulously carved and hand-painted. Machu Picchu’s works are carved from Yowah Nut opal, the terraces below are lacquered green.

The set of 8 watches of the world wonder by Louis Moinet is displayed in a wooden box with nu motifs. The lid of the box is attached with the symbol in the Fleur de Lys pattern, between two wine-brown leather straps. The inside of the box is covered with black leather, with the image of the globe by the mathematician Johann Gabriel Doppelmayr drawn in watercolors.

The watches have a 47 mm case, inside is the LM35 mechanical movement, hand-wound with a power reserve of about 72 hours. The 6 o’clock area on the front and the entire back of the watch is designed to clearly see the movement inside. Set of 8 watches sold for about 2.7 million USD.

Tourbillon watch making process costs 150,000 USD To produce an 18-carat gold-plated Tourbillon watch, the craftsman must assemble the internal details and measure them with millimeter-level accuracy.
