Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that the country’s borders will be partially open next July. Tourist destinations such as Bali, Batam and Bintan will become the “leaders” to revive the country’s tourism industry. In an announcement at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai tourism fair 2021, Indonesia’s Deputy Tourism Minister Nia Niscaya said that Indonesia has implemented a broad vaccination program for many target groups, including the military. Tourism industry workers: “The government has initiated the program ‘Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability’ throughout the Indonesian tourism industry. We are confident that Indonesia remains a world-class destination.”
