When she first came to the Netherlands, the country was known as the land of flowers, so she would bring to see every tree to plant. After a while, she learned more from her mother-in-law and learned from her own experience in growing and taking care of some easygoing flowers. In the end, she chose to plant many roses and hydrangeas to have a vibrant garden like the present. “When we were a kid, we had a garden, children at that time picked mangoes, picked guava to their liking, and added a vine to shade. Just like that, I cherished the desire to have a private garden, until I came to live with my husband in the Netherlands – the land of flowers, my hobby was more strongly fostered and one day my dream of the garden also returned. come true ”, shared Ms. Phuc. Ms Phuc’s main job in recent years has been as a homestay and organizing tours to explore the beautiful scenery in the Netherlands. However, the Covid-19 translation has complicated developments, so she now spends all her time at home looking after her family and the garden. Ms. Phuc and her son are happy by the beautiful garden. In the 100-square-meter garden, two types of flowers that Ms. Phuc loves, pink and hydrangeas, can bloom all summer without constant care. “Because I want to spend a lot of time with my children and have a beautiful flower garden, I choose hydrangeas and roses as the main choice. These are two beautiful flowers, every year it does not take effort and money to replant new plants. Every morning, opening the bedroom door in front of the garden full of flowers, the fragrant aroma, the birds chirping as if helping me forget all the fatigue and difficulties of life, “said Ms. Phuc. From around the beginning of 2020 when the Covid-19 epidemic broke out, Phuc’s family had more time to plant a rich and diverse vegetable garden. In addition to the Dutch vegetables, she grows seasoned vegetables, vegetables, and Vietnamese water spinach. Ms. Phuc’s family has a clean source of food at home. Phuc’s children are excited about her mother’s vegetable garden. Thanks to careful care, the vegetables in Ms. Phuc’s garden are always lush, with less pests and diseases, becoming a place that provides clean food for the whole family. “In the summer, I don’t have to go to Asian markets to buy vegetables, the garden is both satisfying pleasure and helping me to miss my homeland. In the afternoon, the whole family went out to the garden, the husband watered the vegetables, we harvested and the children were playful, the time the whole family spent together was more and more connected. Our children have more enriching experiences, closeness and love to nature, ”said Ms. Phuc.
