Conviction in 2009
Madoff is considered the mastermind of a financial fraud of historical dimensions. Application for early release
Madoff had already complained in an interview with the Washington Post in February 2020 that he was terminally ill and that he had applied for early release in the corona pandemic, which was not granted.
