Jo Brown is a professional painter from South Devon (UK). She graduated from Falmouth College of Art in 2000 with an Honors degree in Illustration.

One day, while walking in the woods behind her home in Devon, Jo Brown was mesmerized by the sight of a green beetle perched on a leaf. Jo liked it so much that she quickly took a picture of the beetle as a document to bring back to draw. Jo Brown is very interested in exploring nature. As a nature lover, she has a passion for painting, so after the first illustration of a green beetle, Jo continued to work hard to draw more mushrooms, birds, and plants. , the flowers she knew in her home studio in Teignmouth. With just a simple pen and ink, Jo creates vivid drawings of the natural world, from the weeds in her garden to the wild nature of Dartmorr. For Jo, illustrating nature brings her much joy and inspiration.
