In the past, litchi and oranges were grown, but for a long time, the land was degraded, so the yield and quality of the fruit decreased. “Along with lychee, oranges, and grapefruits, we now add cherries for the first time to be effective. This success is the basis for coming here, we will try to plant some new fruit tree varieties, such as: Golden apple, American sapodilla (red flesh), woody grapes, Xinjiang apple (China). , Japanese dates, Australian mangosteen or American dates. The goal is to enrich the district’s fruit tree group, improve farming efficiency on the same area of ​​land and income for farmers. From planting to fruiting (12 months), each tree costs about 150,000 VND, including 65,000 seed prices, the rest is fertilizer and care. Cherries flower in January and October, after 50 days are harvested. Currently, each of Mr. Ha’s cherries gives from 2.5-3 kg of fruit, the total output this year is estimated at nearly 1 ton, when the tree is big, it will give more fruit. With the average selling price of 150,000 VND/kg, his family collected more than 50 million VND in the first crop this year, not including the income from papaya intercropping. The cherries are sweet and succulent. It is known that Brazilian che ry is a new plant variety grown in our country. Che ry has 2 types, a cold-loving type, only fruiting when experiencing winter; a heat-loving species, this is the type that is grown by farmers and some gardeners in Vietnam. Che ry is considered a fruit that contains many valuable nutrients for health. Cherries in Vietnam are quite rare and are often imported and sold in big stores at very high prices, ranging from a few hundred to more than 1 million VND/kg, depending on the type and depending on the origin of the American or European cherries.
