The pouring water season, also known as the pouring season, is the season when the highland people take water to the terraced fields to prepare for rice transplanting, this is a very important stage to make the golden seasons of terraced fields. The time from May to June every year, when the first rains of the season bring water to the fields, it is also the time when people focus on planting winter rice to keep up with the time frame. The terraced fields are filled with water from small creeks in the high mountains, shimmering like reflections, stretching to the horizon. At this time, every citizen, one person at a time, busy and urgently focused on water diversion, embankment, and plowing. The final stage is to pull out the seedling to transplant, towards a new crop of cotton-laden, heavy-grained rice. When the water is brought in just enough, the people continue to sow seeds. A few days later, each green field as far as the eye began to appear, they drained the water for the rice to germinate. And when those sprouts bounced up out of the water, people brought the water back to the fields for the seedling to grow a bit more. At this time, the terraced fields look like multi-color paintings: places with yellow alluvial color, places dyed with green color of newly sown seeds, places reflecting purple sky and earth. The unique characteristics of terraced fields are hills with high slopes, winding terrain, mainly taking advantage of the water from the sky, so the work of leading water to the fields is an “art” that requires skillful hands. talented and industrious. The pouring water season becomes one of the unique tourism products of the Northern mountainous region that cannot be found anywhere else. Coming to the highland districts of Bat Xat, Mu Cang Chai, Hoang Su Phi… of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Ha Giang are like stairs north to the blue sky, creating an extremely beautiful landscape picture. In particular, Bat Xat district (Lao Cai) currently has more than 3,000 hectares of terraced fields, distributed in all communes: Y Ty, Sang Ma Sao, Den Sang, Ngai Thau, notably The Pa valley in the area. 2 communes Y Ty and Ngai Thau have been recognized as national monuments by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The streams Ngoi Phat, Lung Po, and Quang Kim not only make an important contribution to agricultural production and field cultivation, but also become the most beautiful tourist destination in the Northwest.
