The Ministry of Transport introduced new regulations for manufactured, assembled and imported cars.
On April 6, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 6/2021 regulating national technical regulations on level 5 emissions for new manufactured, assembled and imported cars. Accordingly, the national technical regulation QCVN 109: 2021 of the Ministry of Transport applies to the following subjects: production, assembly establishments or organizations and individuals importing cars; agencies, organizations and individuals involved in the testing and certification of quality, technical safety and environmental protection for cars. The types of cars to be applied in this Regulation include cars with at least four wheels, classified as low-volume cars and high-standard-volume cars (explained in points 4.1 and 4.2, Article 4, Part I of the Regulation). According to this Circular, level 5 (Level 5) is a standard of testing and limits for pollutants contained in the exhaust gas corresponding to the Euro 5 level specified in the technical regulations on motor vehicle emissions of the Commission. The United Nations European Economic Commission (ECE) applies to new imported, assembled and manufactured motor vehicles.
