The spaces in Tien’s House are arranged around a garden area, so the living spaces seem to ‘touch’ each other.
Tien’s house was built on old land in Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province. The design team said that the concept of the house was designed and executed in a surprising and emotional way.

Stilt house is a typical type of house in the southwest river region. The old house was formed in 1968, so it has revealed many traces of time. In addition, the flood season in Hong Ngu does not rise to the residential area as before, so the stilt house becomes no longer suitable for the current life rhythm. Tien’s house is located in Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap province, adjacent to a river. Tien’s house has an area of 119 m². The problem posed for the Ha workshop design team is to create a close, open, cozy space. At the same time, to overcome the problems of the old house, especially bringing a new color in the model of the house in the suburban area. The Ha design workshop team designed an open space that is both open and cozy The gate of the house is unique because of the steep sloping roof lines. Viewed from above, it can be seen that the sloping roof system turns down to make the main space of the house. In it, the worship area is placed in the center of the house. The altar space connects with the living room and other spaces. All the spaces in the house seem to touch the garden space, which was also the design team’s purpose. The objects in the house bring intimacy. Separating the worship room, living room from the kitchen is a separating wall. Ha workshop design team shared: “This house marks the maturity of a child and is a place to once again demonstrate the family love after the days of building together.” Although the design of the house has antiquity, there are a number of highlights that bring fresh colors different from those in this suburban area. The house mainly uses wooden materials. The glass doors and the slope roof are built firmly to bring the building elegance and ventilation. In addition, the washing corner is arranged neatly with many surrounding trees. The design team also takes advantage of light sheet to create enough light for this space.
