At 7 o’clock on May 14, according to Vietnam time, the national costume contest at the Miss Universe 2020 contest was officially held. The representative of Vietnam – Nguyen Tran Khanh Van took the position of Vedette confidently showing the impressive Ken Em costume.
Design “Ken Em” by designer Khoa Lo has surpassed hundreds of competitors to represent Vietnam Costume named Cocoon Em by designer Khoa Lo, including a stylized long dress with a silk cocoon model, applying hand-knitting techniques combined with macrame tying. The inside of the cocoon depicts the craft of spinning silk through spinning reels and reels. The dominant white color on the shape of the ao dai will help Khanh Van show the grace and elegance of traditional Vietnamese women. With careful preparation in her hometown, Khanh Van used the rickshaw wheel quite easily and walked confidently. In the middle of the stage, the “cocoon” opened up with a sudden opening and closing effect. Khanh Van stepped out with a traditional ao dai embracing the S-shaped body of Vietnamese women. Although there was a small incident, Khanh Van still kept calm and handled it flexibly, so that the performance received applause. It is known that the national costume this time weighs up to 30kg, so the transportation process also faced many difficulties, even before the show, Khanh Van had to manually paint and edit the cocoon model, so that the costume could fit properly. more tuned.
The final round of Miss Universe 2020 will take place on the evening of May 16 (US time) in Hollywood, Florida. Previously, the organizers did not require candidates to isolate for 14 days, but instead, the beauties had to go through many rounds of testing before participating in the sub-tests. Audiences can vote for Khanh Van to enter the Top 21 directly through the application of Miss Universe (deadline May 15).
