Jack Heathcote turned the house into a giant aquarium Jack Heathcote, 47, of Nottingham, England has completely transformed his home with a network of nine super-sized aquariums, including one in a cellar, 2.1 meters deep. The man said: “I can watch the fish swim, interact with them for hours. It’s so relaxing.” Jack first became interested in fish when he was 10 years old. His parents took him to visit an aquarium in Blackpool and he came home with a pet goldfish. 37 years later, Jack decided to spend a whopping £20,000 to convert his Nottingham home into a giant aquarium. Jack used three walls of the cellar to create a 4.2 meter x 3.6 meter tank, 2.1 meters deep and holds 18 cubic meters of water. The giant tank is home to 50 assorted fish he caught in a canal, and four giant mirror carp. There are two more tanks in the cellar, as well as other tanks in the living room, hallway, and shed. Upstairs, there are several tanks in Jack’s bedroom connected by a tunnel. Jack is extremely interested in his unusual house and pets. He said: “Fish are not like other animals because they are always moving. My friends think they are great. They often sit with me on the sofa to watch fish swim, just like other people like to watch TV. vi so”. For fish enthusiasts like Jack Heathcote, it will be very suitable for the portable fish bag product of a Japanese company. The Japanese company’s creation allows aquarium owners to comfortably take their pets out on the street. The ‘katsugyo bag’, a portable aquarium shaped like a long tube with a transparent center, has a handle, and a gauge that monitors the oxygen levels in the water. The company explains that: “You can take the fish away so it’s relatively easy to use. It can provide oxygen and maintain the water temperature the whole time you’re out.” Transparent design, the fish bag is really helpful to calm the fish’s anxiety, provide the fish with a safe, breathable and comfortable environment, suitable for small or medium fish.
