Samsung’s latest smartwatch will use Google’s operating system instead of Tizen as previous generations.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 are expected to launch this summer with Google’s Wear OS instead of the self-developed Tizen.
Nils Ahrensmeier recently revealed that Samsung is planning some change in the size of its next wearable devices. The Galaxy Watch 4 will measure 42mm and 46mm, both of which are slightly larger than the current 41mm and 45mm models. With the new dimensions, the Galaxy Watch 4 will have a larger battery – 350 mAh, while the 42 mm version will have a 240 mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch Active 4 sports version, which looks like it will come in two 40mm and 42mm models. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is currently sold in 40mm and 44mm sizes.
